When my son played in Cooperstown, this was our favorite place to eat. The garlic knots are amazing!! We came back and ordered more to take back to Maryland before we left. Next time I’m up that way, I WILL BE BACK FOR MORE GARLIC KNOTS!!!
We enjoyed relaxing and eating great food. We felt this restaurant in Oneonta was tastier than the one in Norwich. Our server was friendly and did a great job and the rest of the staff was just as friendly. Thank you!
Amazing when you wake in the door beautiful Italian home away from home.! Oheven gets better walking in too a small that just hits your teast buzz that you would need to ask for more. They have a menu that you can choose out of what you want they have a glass or bottle and or fountain drinks that you can choose from
The best Sicilian pizza i have had since I was in Manhattan 8 years ago.
I always go to Nina's. I am really particular because lived in NYC and love Italian. So I've tried every place in the area and I honestly will tell you this is the only real Italian restaurant in the area. These are real Italians. Im talking reggiano parmesean...quality ingredients...great gravy...or sauces... Do not go to any other place.. Fresh salads. Premium ingredients. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. Pizza, lasagna, Alfredo sauce to die for. Perfect flavor perfect consistency.... and if Nina ever cooks for you... it's like taking a trip to Italy! Like i said....come here and very picky.
★★★★★ – Absolutely Amazing Pizza and a Local Gem Nina’s Pizza is hands down one of the best pizza spots I’ve ever been to — and I don’t say that lightly. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place has heart. It’s not just another chain; it’s a cozy, welcoming, family-run place that clearly takes pride in everything they serve. The food? Incredible. The pizza is next-level. The crust is that perfect balance between crispy on the outside and soft, chewy on the inside. You can tell it’s made fresh, not some frozen nonsense. The sauce is flavorful and just the right amount of tangy, and the cheese… wow. It’s gooey, perfectly melted, and doesn’t feel greasy or overwhelming. Whether you’re a plain cheese kind of person or like to pile on the toppings (try the pepperoni and sausage combo!), every slice is satisfying from start to finish. They also offer garlic knots, wings, salads, and a few pasta dishes — and everything I’ve tried has been solid. The garlic knots are soft, buttery, and addictive. The wings are crispy and packed with flavor. It’s clear that quality ingredients are a top priority here. The staff and service? Super friendly. Everyone working there is always kind, patient, and genuinely seems to care about your experience. Even when they’re busy, they’re efficient and polite, which really makes a difference. The place is clean and well-kept, and there’s a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back. Prices? Totally fair. For the quality of food you’re getting, the prices are more than reasonable. You get generous portions and never feel like you’re overpaying. Final thoughts: Nina’s Pizza is a must-visit if you’re anywhere nearby. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice after school, picking up dinner for the family, or just craving something really good, this is the spot. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to — and tell everyone you know about. Five stars, easily. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We placed an order on Sunday the 4th of May for pick up right as they opened up. We were told a half hour. We left our house and arrived 10 minutes early. The place was booming! The employees were wonderful. They had seven other pizzas along with ours coming out of the ovens. Fantastic place!!!
Pizza was the best I've ever had! From dinning out or making it myself. But the wing were to saucy for my preference, but still great and a bit spicy! Also my sibling who is autistic was playing his favorite video loudly but no one(customer or staff) made a fuss! Love this place. Definitely coming back!
I had a great first experience here! I ordered a slice of mushroom pizza. It wasn’t too expensive for the quality of pizza! The toppings were great! The sauce was good. It was not too crispy and not too soft! It was just right! You can fold the pizza in half without it breaking at all! The taste was spot on!
Wonderful restaurant! Great for a slice or a meal. We chose a booth but there are tables and a large room in the back for bigger groups, as well as seating outside if you prefer. The staff, was friendly and service was fast, even on a busy night. I didn't take a picture of the zucchini fries( I was so hungry and they looked so delicious) they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The perfect start to our meal. I’m confident that we will be back for many meals in the future.
I have not been to Nina's in many years and was in town last week and stopped here for lunch. The pizza my wife and I had was very good. My complaints are that the service was not that friendly. It seemed as though the waitress was curt and not that attentative. Above the booth we were sitting at was a ceiling fan. Not only were the blades of this fan filthy, but the ceiling around it was encrusted with heavy dust and what appeared to be bugs in this heavy dust.
Although the food was good. I've never had such a cheese-less calzone! Literally almost no cheese in it. And flat! I've always had calzones that were full and tall with cheese. We actually ended up with a spare as 1 broke boxing it. But I won't waste my money there again. Also... I've never had my calzone cut in half. It was just wrong.
We had a large group coming in from Cooperstown and they said we can have the back room with no mention of a fee. Our party of 4 were sat and ordered and another large large party came in and were seated in the same room and then we were told it was first come first served. The rest of our party of 25 arrived and we made do with the tables available and were told we could not move the tables to sit together. At the end of our meal, the owners wife came over with 2 checks one for our dinner and another for $100 for deposit of the room which we were not told about and they actually sat others in the room as well. She was very rude and was not concerned about the customers, she was only concerned about collecting an additional $100. We spent a total of $750 on food which was good. Not sure we would recommend again because she was so rude.
$13 for 2 slices of pizza and a drink. I guess if you do business in the center of a college town you can charge crazy prices for pizza. But the place was clean the customer service was fast and the servers very friendly. Just way overpriced.
I had ordered a margarita pizza. The pizza still tastes good, dough is made right sauce is good. But this pie is NOT EVEN CLOSE to a margarita pizza. It was a regular cheese pizza with diced tomatoes and a low portion of basil. Margarita is fresh mozzarella, sauce, basil, and sometimes balsamic (glaze) vinaigrette. I posted two photos. One is from Nina’s, the other is from one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. Carmine & Sons. I would love to see Nina’s step their game up on the margarita otherwise the pizza here is good.
Two times in a row, terrible service. I asked for no bread regarding an antipasto salad and there were croutons . They apologized and gave me a new antipasto. Now today, I asked for 2 small pizza doughs so my grands can make their own pizza….. when I got home, they were all crusted around the edges. Old pizza doughs. I called to complain and was told they were fresh. They certainly were not. We took pictures and my husband will meet up with the owner this week. I live 20 miles away. It was already too late to go back. I will be done now with this restaurant
