Small, but total dive. A bit rough around the edges, but I like the vibes. Split into three rooms, being the main room, lounge, and the pool hall. Tons of cool decorations with lots of Angel's stuff on the walls. Two pool tables and a non-electric dartboard. Good security at the door, with a metal detector and bouncer at the door. IDs are checked with blacklight.
Paul's is not for those who want to be serverd sweetly and expect a wholesome experience. The bartenders are ready for your drink order which they expedite it for you. They're plenty of pool tables for those billiard players. Oh and pets are welcome so watch where your stepping a man's best friend could be sitting on the floor.😎🥃🍻🍺🍹🎱🤟
Amazing service even when it’s super busy! Appreciated the attention when we walked in and they were at full occupancy. We stayed outside until there was room to come in and enjoy a cocktail before a table was available. Wedge salad was good Schnitzel was tasty the steak frites was a big miss way overcooked and had a strange flavor. Service was very good
Came here with some friends after another bar in the area, has 2 pool tables in the back that are barely mentioned as well as darts. Lots of stuff to choose from but we got pitchers. Fun place, cool atmosphere. Worth checking out, was pretty packed when we are there around 10 to 12
Clean establishment with a long history. Two new pool tables and updated decor. They use their space well, have plenty of parking, and the pool table room is well lit. TV’s throughout showing all the sports, shows or programming you could want. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Love this place absolutely adore the security guards they're great Dave is awesome and so is country Thursday night is college night so it's a little crowded but great bar overall Mike and Michelle are a great people
The awesome bartender working Saturday morning was so good to us. We came to do our fantasy football draft at 9:00 a.m. & she set us up with the TV stations we wanted, the space we needed, and a couple of fantastic Bloody Mary's! Although our group stood us up she was still attentive & engaging. Great service. Ambiance as advertised. 10 out of 10, will definitely go back
Pauls Cocktails is a beloved dive bar that’s been serving the local community since 1942. Nestled in the historic Orange Circle in the City of Orange, just minutes from Chapman University, this no-frills watering hole is a rite of passage for many. With its laid-back atmosphere and lack of trendy pretense, Pauls offers a refreshing alternative to upscale bars and nightclubs. Whether you’re celebrating the end of finals, catching a Sunday football game, or just looking to unwind after a long week, this spot delivers. The bar attracts a diverse crowd—from college students to longtime locals—making it a prime place for people-watching and casual conversation. The bartenders are known for their friendliness and welcoming smiles, ready to pour a perfectly made cocktail or a cold beer without the fuss. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and be yourself. If you’re in search of comfort, good drinks, and a genuine local vibe, Pauls Cocktails is your go-to spot. No reservations, no dress code—just walk in, grab a drink, and feel right at home.
Paul's is a fun bar full of locals and Chapman students, if you don't like a younger crowd don't go on Thursday nights. Lots of TVs to watch football or any sport during the year. They have monthly pool tournaments, a smoking patio, and a lounge. They have pretzels and a vending machine. If you are looking for something more then snacks you can have it delivered or walk to any of the many restaurants in the circle and bring it back to the bar to enjoy. The staff is amazing and knows how to pour a great drink. They also have specials on different nights of the week. I recommend if you are looking for a fun time and making new memories.
Finally got to try out snooze and it definitely lived up to the hype! Love all the fun twists they had on many of your classic brunch dishes. I tried the pork belly breakfast fried rice dish and my bf got the breakfast burrito. Both was very delicious and filling! Can’t wait to go back and try their sweet dishes.
Snooze Downtown KC is 10/10! Matt was our server and he was fantastic, fast, friendly, and really knew the menu. His hot sauce and drink tips were spot on. We loved the Bacon Flight to share and I got the Sweet Potato Mash-Up and one of my friends got the Spuds Deluxe. Definitely a new favorite spot!
I had a great experience at Snooze AM Eatery. The place is spacious, clean, and very comfortable, which makes it perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. The menu is solid with a lot of variety, and I really appreciated the good vegan options available — it’s nice to feel included and have real choices instead of just one item. Everything felt well organized, from the seating to the service. Overall, it’s a great spot with a welcoming atmosphere and a menu that works for different preferences. I’d definitely come back when I’m in Kansas City.
We tried out Snooze for the first time and I was very impressed. We were seated immediately, the staff were very kind and helpful. Service was quick and our orders were brought out quickly. If you need a recommendation the Biscuits and Gravy were amazing. I will definitely be back for the biscuits and gravy alone. Definitely recommend Snooze!
The vibe? Retro to a T and bustling on a Saturday morning. The menu? A wide variety of something unique for everyone. The matcha? Better than most. The millionaire’s bacon? Best I’ve ever had-Cayenne and red pepper flakes, yes please! Breakfast tacos with chorizo? Solid. But the best part? After our server caught wind that this was our first time, he brought us a menu-favorite pancake out to try while we waited (not long) for our food. While seemingly small, this was completely unexpected, experiential hospitality “surprise and delight” stuff. The pancake was great, but the intentionality and thoughtfulness was completely above and beyond. Most don’t do this, and no one’s demanding it, but golly it’ll bring me, my wife and kids back the next time we visit KC. My only wish? That they offered small plates so that we could have tried more of the menu. Well done, team!
We found a fun 🤩 & yummy place to have Brunch today! It was colorful & had upbeat music 🎶 in the air. They were very busy the entire time we were there! Lots of people moving in & out as well as lots of delivery pick ups. Large menu with so many fresh original selections. Lots of pretty juice drinks. Pancakes variations seems to be very popular & so pretty. I tried the Denver Omelette plate. It was full of ham chucks & fresh veggies. Their hash browns are crusty & formed into a circle. They were delicious. My husband ordered 3 eggs, 🥚 the hash browns, wheat 🌾 toast & their specialty bacon 🥓. He ate it all & loved it. He enjoyed their fresh 🍊 orange juice. Our meal was prepared quickly after we ordered. Good service especially since they were so busy! We would go again. Delicious!
Snooze was an exceptional brunch choice. This isn't mass produced chain food, which I genuinely appreciate, not rushed, not fried in oil, not overly buttered. They have an excellent coffee selection and a fair mix of sweet and savory breakfast options for groups that can't seem to agree on what kind of breakfast to have! The sweet potato with a poached egg and adding avocado was my healthy breakfast pick and it was so filling that I couldn't even finish the side pancake. The side pancake was cooked evenly, lightly powdered with sugar, and offered up with a side of hot syrup instead of table syrup like other spots have! The atmosphere was very quiet even out on the patio. There wasn't blaring music so loud you can't hear the other people you're with and there was a surprising amount of options for indoor and outdoor seating considering how small the building is! My only complaint is parking. There has got to be a better solution there, only about 12 spots maximum, other than that you'll have to street park or park a few blocks down and walk. Great overall pick for top breakfast in KC
Excellent breakfast spot. The OMG French Toast was outstanding. The Snooze Classic was delicious. This included three eggs, an English muffin, bacon (or sausage), and hash browns. Also had a simple pancake that tasted good. The atmosphere was neat and with an array of colors and both traditional booths and half round booths. There was also a diner counter for single patrons that included a bar and TV. It looked like Mimosas were the fav this early morning. Service by Ester was outstanding. Very attentive and friendly. Ok, one possible improvement - the hash browns were cooked in a circular shape and a bit thick with less crunchy sides. My preference is spread out and lots of crunchy areas. Overall, I highly recommend Snooze.
Great spot to visit with Friends and or Family for drinks on a Friday or Saturday night. Mix drinks range from $12 - 14 bucks which is a good deal especially because the surrounding Bars charge more. If you have not been to Paul's Bar in Orange, I would recommend that you stop by for a few drinks especially if you want to Bar hop at the downtown orange circle.
Pauls Cocktails...the ultimate dive bar! Open at 6 AM closes at 2AM, that should tell you all you need to know! Cold beer, cocktails, pool tables, a jukebox and seasoned local crowd. A must stop for us when we are visiting "The Circle" Where else would you see a Great Dane coming out of the restroom?
Met up here on a Friday morning with some friends for brunch before our day together. They weren’t very busy when we arrived but had to wait probably 15 minutes for them to clean off a table, although during 12 of those 15 minutes no one was cleaning tables and some of the staff were standing around chatting with each other and on their phones. When we got seated, our server was just kind of awkward and had little personality. The drinks were slow, even though there was a bartender and the place was not busy at all. Other than that, the experience was fine. The food was was good and didn’t take long to come out. Our server was attentive, just lacked the personality.
I went for breakfast here on a weekday and I can say the place was dead which I loved. The place is definitely more modern and sleek looking. The server was very friendly and helped me decide on my order. I had the sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a pretzel bun. It came with a delicious hollandaise sauce that I do suggest you dip the sandwich in. It really elevates a basic type of sandwich. The only suggestion I would make would be to butter and toast the pretzel bun to add some more depth of flavor. The bun itself was kind of cold as though it was just taken out of the fridge/freezer and thawed recently. Other than that it seemed like a solid place to eat.
Strong drinks and decent prices. Gets really busy on the weekends. Since it's in the circle you get a variety in the crowd but it tends to bring in more guys than girls. Bartenders are friendly.
This place used to be my favorite spot ever since I moved out of California in 2007. Every time I’d come home to visit family I would always make sure to stop here. Their prices have skyrocketed. A double vodka soda is now $15. I had the exact same thing in Newport’s Beach Ball for $9.
Nice cocktails but the staff is rude and sexist. Wouldn't let the ladies room utilize the doorstop for the rest restroom on 90+ ° day/evening on the door!
shitty and not in a good dive way. dozens of cop and sheriff badges above the bar. cheap well drinks.
The food was decent at best. The service was total crap from the beginning. The hostess skipped over us after adding our names to the wait list. We had to go check back in with her, for her to say "Oh yeah, I forgot about you until you came back up here. Then after being sat, it took 30 minutes & a trip to speak to the manager before our sever ever arrived at our table. When she did finally show up, she needed an attitude adjustment or a different job. She was rude, acted like she didn't want to there, and barely had any energy like serving our table was the last thing she wanted to be doing. This occurred during a non busy time today. We were at the table from about 1 - 2:30pm. This was my first experience with this company & this location. Talk about a bad first impression!!
This is what I was served as a Togo order for a $20 avacado toast entree… I’ve been here multiple times and they usually have a layers of sliced avocado but as soon as they know you won’t look at the food till you get home they serve you sub par food. I could have made this better at home but I’m sick and my bf tried to treat me to one of my favorites.
This place used to be the spot where you could always go in for cheep drinks, yesterday I can confirm they have become like every other bar in the circle. I ordered a round of fireball shots (7) and a couple beers and my bill was close to 200 dollars. After I ordered I asked the bar tender how much exactly each fireball shot was and they said 15 dollars because it's their busiest night of the year. So basically they jacked their prices up because it was the street fair. I will never ever spend money at this establishment again because they wanted to double the prices of a fireball shot and take advantage of their customers. This is why I don't even go out anymore every-time it's 300 dollars because bars are charging an arm and a leg to drink, and I like to buy my friends rounds.
The owner of this business is extremely hostile to customers and to the general public. He berated my wife for pulling into the parking lot when the business had yet to even open. We feared for our safety because he was yelling and driving so recklessly.
This bar sucks. I went in from Having been turned down at the district, he said I had a fake id and once I showed him my passport he got all pissed because I was obviously pissed he’d deny both ids. This bartender, super speedy waited for her bouncer to verify my id, we’ll both of them , be verified both, verified he knows the other guy at district that gave me a hard time and says I can drink. As I’m waiting for my modelo the speedy lady then over rides the bouncer and says she doesn’t feel comfortable serving me. All in all it was the weirdest drinking experience in my 32 years on this planet, the district and Paul’s suck.
Don't use ur cards or tap to pay they will double charge you for your drinks. It's cool, place, but like a strip club, pull out money beforehand.
8/5 male bartender would ignore when asking for a round of drinks while continuing to tend to others then asking us “what?” When we asked for drinks. Place was not busy
