Very friendly, laid-back servers, appreciated their recommendations for their favorite dishes, and the food was incredible! We thought there would be a long way, but it was only 10 or 20 minutes around 7 PM on a Saturday.

Excellent meal, would definitely return and bring friends! Mussels were cooked well and the coconut broth was delicious. Calamari came with a nice dipping sauce and lots of sliced jalapeño - yum! Shaking beef was cooked medium rare and the sauce was so savory - generous portion of filet too!! Grilled pork noodle bowl hit the spot, large portion, and all the veggies, mint and chopped nuts married perfectly with the fish sauce (which was a bit too diluted, but still tasty - I like it a little more funky). Love this place!

Rooster & the Pig is an absolute gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. For starters, the crispy sticky wings are amazingly rich and flavorful. My fresh roll favorites are the lemongrass pork and date rolls and the beef and mint ones. It’s a popular spot that doesn’t take reservations but it’s worth the wait and dishes come out quickly despite a full house. Enjoy!!

We arrived at 515pm. They open at 5pm Wed-Sun. The restaurant was almost completely full even we arrived. The food was exceptional. The portions were great for the price. Traditional Vietnamese food with a unique special flare. We really enjoyed everything. Highly recommended. Get there early or you'll have to wait. No reservations.

I’m so glad I came here. Firstly I love congee so when I read reviews about that I immediately wanted to come. It’s not on the menu though, I would order a big bowl of it if I could! The sesame purple potato balls were super yummy. And the beef spring rolls delicious.

Excellent riffs on Vietnamese food. I’d highly recommend the Tumeric Cod. It was fantastic. Caramelized chicken had a chicken skin that was insanely crispy!

Great place to add to your Palm Springs dining list! Super fresh ingredients and fun vibe at this Vietnamese restaurant, it’s worth finding, as it is tucked away! Lucked out and got seated right away, have waited in the past. No reservations.

Get there at least 20-30 minutes before they open or be prepared to wait. Having said that, it's worth the wait. Only open for a few days a week it builds the excitement. We came here almost 10 years ago and haven't stopped thinking about it. Still holds up and is probably better than before. Service is top notch. Only ding is the lack of a robust bar program but that's fine, you are there for the food.

Just amazing! Pictures don’t do the food justice. We tried almost everything on the menu, and it was all delicious! Shaking Steak, Panko stuffed chicken were main dishes and delicious. You can do the pork fried rice as a side dish, but shaking steak already comes with white rice. Highly recommend this place. Staff is great and always checking up on you to see what else you need.

Please come and try the delicious Vietnamese food! The crispy rolls are amazing and the fish sauce that comes with it is spicy and sooo good. We didn’t like the bahn xeo as the crust was soggy. But the Lemongrass pork noodle bowl blew us away with freshness and flavor. Great stop!

I can't emphasize enough just how incredible the food is here! We dug into the Bun Cha—perfectly grilled pork served with vermicelli noodles that practically melted in your mouth—and the chicken rice ball in curry, which was a flavor explosion. Both dishes had generous portions, so you’ll definitely leave satisfied. The vibe was cozy perfection. The place has a warm, inviting atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and lively—great for a meal with friends or a cozy dinner for two. It’s buzzing enough to feel vibrant, but not so loud that you can’t enjoy a conversation. And let’s not forget the service—shoutout to Colin for making the experience even better! He was quick, friendly, and had great recommendations. All in all, a must-visit if you’re craving delicious food in a chill, welcoming spot.

I was on a bachelorette trip in Palm Springs, a total of 6 of us. Our plan after we flew in on Friday was to get take out from here but unfortunately, they don’t do take out. However, I’m glad we didn’t! We would’ve missed the whole experience of this restaurant. I think we got there around 6 pm on Friday and it was packed, we had a 15 minute wait. Completely worth the wait, the food was delicious. Our group did a couple of appetizers and then chose our own main entree. The drinks were delicious and before you get any of your ordered food items, they bring out a little rice porridge, on the house - it was very good! We were pretty hungry so I didn’t take pics of all the food. I highly recommend the fresh rolls!! We tried: Shrimp & Mango, Fennel, and Lemongrass Pork & Date. All 3 were so so good. Favorite out of the 3 would probably be shrimp & mango. For my main, I had the lemongrass pork noodle bowl which is essentially a cold noodle dish. The pork was cooked to perfection and the veggies were all fresh. If you get the chance to try this place out, do it!

This place is phenomenal. Every time I go to Palm Springs I make sure to stop here. If you can only eat at one restaurant during your time in PS - this is the one! Crispy rolls: perfectly crispy with a hint of citrus. Ube cocktail: creamy and unique, strong ube root flavor Crispy beef noodle: amazing, the beef is perfectly crispy and the noodles are fairly plain Cod: extremely spicy but even though your mouth is burning, you crave more of the buttery cod and dill

Excellent plates with lots of flavor. Fast and attentive table service. Beautiful indoor space and a handful of tables outside. I really enjoyed the vermicelli pork dish. Gets very busy after 5:30/6 so either come early or be prepared to wait bit

I have been to over 20 countries in my life, and this meal easily ranks within the top 10 I’ve ever had. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were divine, and the staff was friendly enough to make us want to return even if the food HAD sucked. The worst part of this restaurant is that we don’t live closer to it, and Daniel was so friendly I regret not having met him years ago so that I could’ve asked him to be my best man at our wedding. If you’re considering getting dinner in Palm Springs, you’d be stupid to go anywhere but here.

Absolutely fabulous. From the starter to the entree, each item was perfectly cooked and seasoned, mouthwatering and flavorful. The complimentary Congee starts you on your journey of culinary delights. Reservations are not accepted however this restaurant is definitely worth any wait. The staff are awesome, attentive and friendly.

Got here at 4:45pm on a Thursday and were 5th in line. It seems like people who arrived a little after 5pm were still able to get a seat. They have 2 seating areas and I couldn’t discern who got seated where and why? We got seated in what seemed like a more dim and intimate area. They had couches which were comfy. The other area seemed brighter and more upbeat…but I loved where we sat, as it was nice and cozy! Service was very friendly! I loved that they asked about allergies and made sure my son was safe. We were pleasantly surprised by the complementary congee. It was a small bowl packed with a lot of flavor…what a great way to start a meal! We got the fried rolls and cold noodles to start. The rolls were good…they were maybe slightly overdone, just a touch hard and dry, but the sweet sauce made them better. The cold noodles were tossed in a sesame paste, which was actually refreshing! For bigger plates, we got the pork belly fried rice and crispy beef egg noodle. Both amazing flavors and huge portions!! We had leftovers that tasted amazing the next day. Overall, such an amazing experience…We would definitely come back again when visiting Palm Springs!!

Got there at 5:20 on Thursday night and there were a few spots left at the bar/counter! By 6pm there was a line. The food was very fresh with lots of veggies and delicious tastes. Crispy Beef Egg Noodle was yummy and filling. The Cod dish was also very good but very light. Service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was fun.

A fine but not outstanding experience. Service was good - friendly and prompt. Food was just ok - not the wonderful and sophisticated balance of flavors that you would be hoping for with great Vietnamese food. The best thing we had was the cod, which was quite good. The fresh spring rolls - we tried shrimp and pork - and the sesame noodles were all pretty bland, and salt and pepper shrimp were a miss.

We got here 20mins after they opened, and the restaurant was fully sat down. We waited for about 30mins before we got seated ourselves, so I would recommend being here the moment they opened. Service was fast. The only issue we encountered was that our two main dishes got served to a different table, so we had to wait for those longer, hence one less star. The menu is limited, but every dish looked great, coming out of the kitchen to your table.

From my experience, this place was good but not nearly as amazing as the other reviews say it is. The crispy beef egg noodles and pork belly fried rice were pretty dry and not very flavorful. However, the panko chicken stuffed curry ball made everything worth it- so flavorful and absolutely delicious. If you’re debating between Vietnamese or Mexican cuisine in Palm Springs I would suggest Mexican.

This place had some promising reviews and lots of love on social media. And um it was aight. The food is plated nicely, but it definitely doesn’t taste as interesting as it looks. This place had limited parking and long wait all for par food. Yeah try it once, take your pictures and never come back probably. The spring rolls were pretty aight. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend the vermicelli bowl.

Visited this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday and experienced a short wait to be seated, but the food took an unusually long time to arrive. I ordered the sweet potato noodles and pan-fried tofu, but unfortunately, both dishes tasted almost identical—overly sweet and reminiscent of basil fried rice from a standard Thai takeout place. While the aromas in the restaurant were inviting, the actual flavors of our meal didn’t live up to the promise.

I'm not sure what to say, I heard so many good and bad things about this place but didnt want to pass judgment until I tried it. Food: tasteless. You cant serve Thai inspired Food and have zero spice. Got a lot of sweet flavors but never a kick. Had to keep ordering chili sauce and fish sauce becuase there were none in the dishes. Pork belly fired rice was missing Pork belly. It was chopped small it could have been bacon bits. Papaya salad had arugula. I still cant recover from that blasphemous BS. Buddha is crying. Black muscle dish was good. Excellent pairing in its coconut broth and lemon grass. The bbq chicken was a fail. Again, a sugar coating. The only good thing about it was the sliced chillies that had some real fire. I get that the majority of clientele are white, old and have chalky palettes but you cant loose the interegity of the cuisine. That was my biggest disappointment but again, I get it, it's Palm Springs. Many of the Mexican restaurants have the same problem. Service: good. Didn't have to wait too long and servers were friendly and well groomed. Atmosphere: it was loud. Music was too loud and people were loud. The place needs noise buffers. Sound bounces off everywhere. Parking was easy.
