Eddie & Eileen at the bar made this experience here absolutely wonderful. We found this place through instagram and so glad that we did. Their drinks are one of a kind, and if you see their ig @craftbysmokeandfire, you'll see what we did. As a TX guy, it's the closest I've had to back home. Definitely recommend here. And fhe 2 for 1 happy hour can't be beat.

The food and drinks were delicious! The servers were really busy, maybe even short staffed. Our server Johnathan really did his best and he had a great attitude! Just be patient with your server. Will definitely be back!

We stumbled on Craft after exploring the old Pasadena scene, so happy we did. The restaurant is so cute and I love the olive tree in the middle of the dining room. Albert is an amazing server and took care of us even though it was close to closing and the place was poppin. His recommendations were on point, we loved the tequila cocktails and the meats/bbq were fantastic, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My husband and I are from the south so we know good bbq and this was *it*. We also know hospitality and it’s been a while since we had A++ service, Albert was such a breath of fresh air and restored our faith back in restaurant dining.

One of our favorite meals. Friendly staff, quick service and just a great time. The short ribs were great; tried the Mac and cheese, not my favorite but still good. My wife has the short rib birria tacos and loves them. Son had the giant burrito and didn't talk until he was done, he just smiled after.

From service to the food to the strong drinks 🍹, this place was 5/5 for this location. I recommend this over every other restaurant on this street for good food and good drinks. Very full menu with great options and I recommend the smoked brisket potato skins and the smoked beef back ribs and it helps that the workers are easy on the eyes here.

Cassandra is just the best host ever! She was kind and attentive. She helped us make great food and drink choices while also assisting her other guests. Such an amazing place and even the host that helped us after Cassandra went home was amazing. Great customer service all around ☺️

We had Jude as our server, and he was amazing! Funny, warm, energetic, overall a great person! He was the highlight of our visit. Aside from Jude, the food was delicious and the cocktails were great. Would come here again. 😊🖤

Awesome food and really great service! Texas smoked spare rib was perfectly blackened, tender, smoked and just-right-fatty for my taste - A+. My daughter's Birria tacos were very tasty and meaty, and the sides were all great. Servers were friendly and accommodating, and prices lower than I expected in Pasadena. Really the best BBQ I've been to in a long time, and I like barbecue. Will come back when in the area. Honestly I don't understand why this place doesn't have a 4.8 rating

They gave us a free brisket quesadilla when we got here. It was delicious. Definitely the best quesadilla I've had. I got the chicken tacos which were very good. The Cesar Salad was ok. The turkey was huge and could have used some seasoning. I loved the buy one get one free happy hour drinks. We got the La Chona and the Cast Away. Our waitress Brynn was very friendly.

Celebrated a birthday. 1st time here. 1st peeps there at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Sabrina was amazing. overall, the team was fun and in good spirits. Brisket the best, although not on brunch menu-have to try mac & cheese. Brunch provides lots of tasty options. Eggs and potatoes best when fresh. The pasole and chiliquilies bar tasty. Ribs, brisket, tri tip...homemade sausage breakfast tacos...25 bottomless mimosas w various flavors. Got packed after awhile. Has tvs for sports enjoyment and patio. Must go!

It was our first time there the waitress that helped us was very friendly and nice. I don’t remember her name otherwise I would stated here, but she was working on a Tuesday morning and she was also doing the bar. The food was delicious and her hospitality was very welcoming. I think it made the experience even better. Since it was our first time there she offered To give us garlic bread on the house, that was really nice of her. I’m definitely gonna come back and I will be referring friends and family. By the way, I had the short rib and the brisket with mac & cheese. The brisket was very good, but oh my God the short rib was amazing next time I’ll definitely be getting that again and I might just try the load of baked potato too

Our favorite. The absolute best. We come here every time we visit LA. I can’t recommend it enough. It is a heart attack on a plate so we like to split it between two people with a salad. The burrito with a rib in it is our fav!

The food had so much flavor, as you can see we couldn't eat it all but we'll be back again! Keep up the great work and send my regards to the chef. Go Bruins!!

We were recently passing through Pasadena and boy, did Yelp come through for us when picking a place to eat! Craft by Smoke & Fire in Old Town Pasadena ended up being the perfect choice. It was a beautiful evening and we opted to sit outside. We were lucky enough to have Stephanie as our server…and also lucky to be there during happy hour – you gotta love a 2 for 1 drink special! It was hard to choose between all the craft cocktails, but we ended up ordering Lulu Lemons which were excellent! I play mixologist when entertaining at home, and when I expressed interest in recreating this drink for our friends, Stephanie was kind enough to share the recipe! The menu is full of yummy Texas-style BBQ options made from locally sourced meat, and it was hard to choose. We landed on brisket grilled cheese with a side of mac & cheese (can you have too much cheese?!) and a harvest brisket salad. Both were so delicious. The outside table area was pretty full and although she was covering a lot of tables, Stephanie was knowledgeable when guiding us through the menu, super attentive and personable to boot! We look forward to returning…and to checking out their Anaheim location as well!

Charli and Albert went so far above and beyond to ensure our meal was an amazing first experience. From the welcoming service to the breezy corner table we sat at, positivity and good vibes kept coming throughout our entire meal. Everything we tried was excellent, from the brisket to the steakburger, to the birria quesadilla and chips and guac (thank you!). Our Space Dust and Mango Cart drafts were thirst quenching. We look forward to returning very soon, although the wait will likely increase as more and more people discover how great of a restaurant you have here on Green St. Thank you again!

Looking at the exterior, I was wondering if the staff at the Residence Inn at Pasadena/Old Town had steered me wrong. The store front looks fancy (I didn't realize that all the trees on Green St were wrapped in white lights). The exterior had my thinking Googles $10-20 was a mistake. But I was here so I went inside. Instantly a warm, homey environment welcomed me. There was so much to look at. A feast for the eyes as it were. My server, Joe greeted me and I told him what I was wanting. He went over the menu and helped me craft a dining experience (see what I did there? Yeah, you do!) I will not soon forget. I ordered the 1/2# brisket and birria quesadillas. Whoa. The brisket LITERALLY melted in my mouth. It was juicy. It was tender. Why they gave me I knife I'll never know because this meat was flaking apart at the touch of the fork. It was so well seasoned I almost didn't notice the little cup of BBQ sauce. But when I did... so sweet and tangy. A perfect compliment to the brisket that I already thought was top notch. The 2 elevated each other. The brisket came with cornbread (sweet and delicate), home made pickle chips (so tart and crisp) as well as pickled onions and pimento peppers. I can't believe I traveled from Georgia, to California, to have Texas style BBQ that will forever more be the standard I hold all BBQ to... and I fear they will pale in comparison. (The birria quesadillas were also amazing and easily could have been a meal on their own). Joe also brought me some nachos with I'd guess fire grilled corn. A perfect accompaniment to my meal. If I lived here... I'd come multiple times a week to explore the other things on their menu like the burger and street tacos. If you come, ask for Joe. Get the brisket. And brace yourself to never think of BBQ the same way again.

Service is outstanding, I ordered the porterhouse medium, it turned out well done. I told the waiter and he had kitchen redo the order, waited 10 minutes, this time it came out prefect. Enjoyed dinner there with friends, staffs are friendly.

Amazing experience visiting last night with my little Yorkie. They turned on the outside heaters just for us. The food was great. And our waitress, Mallory, was the best waitress I've ever had. She brought us water for our dog, and they even had a free dog meal! She was very considerate, leaving us alone when we were busy but coming to check on us when she could. The food was also very delicious. I had a burrito with Mac and cheese in it. :) My bf had the rack of lamb.

Came here for a late dinner on a Sunday at 9:30pm. Despite the kitchen closing at 10, they were very accommodating and nice. Jonathan was really nice and was fantastic to have as a waiter. Got the All American tour option as we had 6 people, but if you are hungry, I would recommend the 8 people option. Food was delicious. My favorite one was the lamb. Sides went well with the variety of meat.

The food at Craft by Smoke and Fire smells and tastes mouthwateringly delicious. You can make a reservation on OpenTable, and they have plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio is dog friendly. If you’re a carnivore, I strongly the Prime Texas Style Smoked Short Rib 1.5 pound ($26) Prime Greater Omaha Giant Short Rib cooked low & slow for 6+ hours using post oak. When it first came out I thought it looked small for 1.5lb, but as I tore into it I realized how dense the meat was. The short rib both falls right off the bone and melts in your mouth. It comes with yummy pickles& pickled onions, but no real side. My friend got the basic Mac & Cheese side ($5) and says pass because it tastes like frozen or cafeteria food. The Harvest Brisket Salad ($17) was a good appetizer to share, but I wish it had come out before the rest of our food verses at the same time. It was good to mix in some greens, but the prime rib itself was well done on the salad and I would have much preferred they either ask how you want your meat cooked or default to medium. The Harvest salad included Prime Brisket, Roasted Squash, Mixed Greens, Goat Cheese, and Apple Vinaigrette. I especially loved that they used goat cheese on the salad. I’ll definitely be returning for bbq, specifically the Smoked Short Rib, the next time I’m in Pasadena!

Came for dinner on a Saturday night at 7pm placed was PACKED but we were seated promptly (made reservations online) and we were a party of 10!! Service was A+++++ if you are lucky enough or even able to ask for CHELSEA she was on top of everything! Our drinks came fast, took our appetizer order first and that came out quickly as well! Dinner came right after and food was delicious!! Appetizers not pictured but we ordered Short Rib Birria Quesadilla Loaded BBQ Nachos Brisket Queso Fundido 10 of us (8 adults 2 kids) so we ordered the “Family Platter” you have 3 different choices that come with different meats so we went with the one called “THE LAST SUPPER”

Fire! That's what my kid said anyway, I just thought it was amazing. Great ambiance, really, really good food, and even a decent beer selection. This is a BBQ joint with a gastro-pub feel and some very good service, which got a little slow as the room filled. We were here on a Friday night though, so props for them trying to get everyone handled. I had the shrimp tacos, they were 100%. The kid had the brisket mac and cheese, and I had some of that because... brisket and mac? Yeah. It was so good. The nephew had a burger and it was bigger than I thought it would be, and it was delicious. The wife had a chicken breast with a side of brussel sprouts. Both were very well seasoned, and good! The sprouts needed a bit of salt. I had a Hazy IPA from Villain brewery (their captive brewery). The beer selection changes, but did not include anything on nitro this time (07Nov24). Fun on a bun, kids! If you're near, stop on in for some great grub, this spot is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Came here with and on the recommendation of my brother and his gf. The Smoke and Fire did not disappoint. Ivy was our server, super attentive, friendly, did not skip a beat. Answered our questions before we could ask them. There were 4 of us so we ordered the family meal that was about $120. Big meaty portion. Was not able to finish. I was a bigger fan of the sides and enjoyed the mac and cheese since it was so cheesy. The grits were out, so it just means we have to come back again! Instead we got a street corn named desire, which was a good offset for all the salt and meat! I also got the smoked cookie and cream ice cream. I didn’t notice it tasting smoky, but it def tasted like Oreo cookies. We parked on the street nearby and came after the dinner rush ~8:30 PM

Loved, loved, loved the lively, casual vibe, friendly staff, and delicious food at Craft! They have THE cutest cocktails, too! The Duck Around and Find Out alone will have me coming back! The chicken sandwich was Craft by far, their potato salad is the best I've had in a long time! There are so many great options (both main dishes and sides), that we will just have to come back to try everything on the menu! When in Pasadena, I highly recommend adding Craft to your dining options!

My wife and I came here for an early lunch on a Sunday. We arrived around 11:15 am and there was no wait at all. We were promptly greeted and seated by the hostess. The first thing we noticed was the amount of TVs that were on the walls. It was very impressive; a sports lovers dream. The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of open air seating areas as well as outdoor seating options. We opted for an indoor booth. Our server was Sabrina and she was great. She brought us each a glass water and menus when she first got to our table. After just the right amount of time she returned to take our orders. My wife went with the smash burger with a side of fried Brussels sprouts. I picked the Madison which is a pastrami brisket sandwich and a side of waffle fries. We split a watermelon strawberry salad. Everything was delicious! The salad was very large; ideal for two people. My sandwich had ample brisket in it and the waffle fries were fried to perfection. Overall a great casual dining spot for some great food and excellent service.

Great food and fantastic service. Our waitress Jen was above and beyond amazing. First time coming to this location but not smoke and fire so we knew the food was going to be great. Jen went above in explaining anything we needed gave us a shot to try courtesy of her which was awesome. Came back plenty of times we never once had to look for her which is excellent service. The restraunt has a great ambience. Lots of giant flat screens everywhere. We will definitely be back with friends. If your looking for an amazing restraunt and an overall great experience I highly recommend you check this place out.

We were STOKED to take a trip up to Pasadena and try out their new location (we’ve frequented the Anaheim location and love it!) especially some of their new menu items and new concept pizza “one dope pizza”. The ambiance and atmosphere is spot on! They take such pride and passion in the way that they lay out the restaurant, similar to their other locations! The drinks here are LEGIT! Strong, flavorful and you can’t beat buy Juan get Juan or make it a double on their happy hours!!! Boom! Their new fish burrito was AMAZING! Perfectly cooked, flakey fall apart in your mouth and the sauce inside was creamy and complimented the fish so very well! Very fresh feeling! You can never go wrong with their smoked meats! Uff the brisket chili and quesadilla just melt in your mouth with the perfect smoke hits! Don’t forget about the super fun new pizza concept! Wow…. That sourdough crust is everything you want in sourdough, but with more fluff and a wonderful chew! NAILED IT! Our fav was the pastrami, pickle and grey poupon aioli sauce came through marrying everything so very well! Mary our server was super attentive and friendly! Tommy and Wendy also made sure we were taken care of and lovely to chat with! Craft never fails! Thank you for expanding the brand so that more people can experience your passion and incredible food and service! You guys ROCK!

I had beautiful experience with them and while waiters are so nice and it was Thursday lunch time it wasn’t crowded, wow half pound bbq brisket was def big enough, I don’t know if they do all the time but I got waiting food snack as chips and also they brought my dog beef patties 😭🫶🏻 Like wow I felt whole hospitality. This is the coolest place! Drinks are very crafty and the presentation is on point! The brisket quesadilla is very good. Everyone in our party were very happy with their orders. There are plenty of TV screens and the first Dodgers game of the series was on every TV!

This place was recommended by my wife’s friend and it did not disappoint. As soon as we entered, we were taken care of and seated at a table. Ana assisted us and made sure we had everything we needed. When we finished ordering, she brought us nachos for and I was confused because we didn’t order it. She clarified it was a gift and we appreciated the gesture since we were hungry. I would come back to try their brunch buffet!

Two of us ordered a half pound of smoked brisket with sides and drinks for brunch. The broccoli, waffle fries, and mac and cheese were all great. The mocktail with homemade syrup was very good, must try. The vibe in the restaurant is nice, high ceilings and an open space. Good service as well.

Started my day early visiting from Culver City as I'm staying from out of state, from Washington State. Started at Stone and got lunch at craft but was fortunate enough to run into a bartender named Meg. Down to earth and attentive and honest on questions about the food and drinks. Was recommend the brisket and wasn't disappointed but could need improvement. The meal itself was great and filling for 15 bucks. Probably the cheapest meal I have gotten next to Carl's Jr. Everyone here has been so enjoyable but Meg stood out as a real person. I would recommend going here as it seems customer service is definitely a priority and that makes up for a couple dry bites of brisket. Waffle fries were 10/10.

I love that the bartenders chit chat. They care and become friends. I hope that doesn’t change. I come back for Vinny and Christopher. I can go home, but they make the difference and go back!

Reservation was made on Open Table and our party was sat immediately. This place was completely packed as it was prime dinner rush. The server did an amazing job managing the craziness. Our drinks were brought out very quickly and our food didn’t take more than 15 minutes to arrive. The brisket burrito is to die for, the cheese on the outside of the burrito is the perfect touch. The kids loved their meals.

What a great experience from our taste buds to the amazing staff. It was our first time visiting and found the restaurant from Open Table. Our server China was friendly, on point on her service and genuinely was a great server that attributed to our amazing experience. From the Salad, to the Chili and the Grilled Cheese, it was mouth watering and Brisket heaven. They had a great game on the TVs and great music playing. Our only "complaint" was that we wish the music was louder because it was a great playlist.

We loved this place. It use to be a chicken spot. Now its crafts by smoke and fire. Our waiter was super dope. That made everything even better. We got the ribs and brisket, along with sides. Mac n cheese, brussel sprouts, garlic potatoes. The food was super filling. BBQ always hits the spot. The inside has a nice ambience. Huge tv on the side wall to watch the major sports games and a bar in the back. We were given some fruity shots and they were suuuper bomb. All in all, this place is amazing. Keep up the great work.

Made a reservation on OpenTable for Sunday lunch and there were a lot of tables open, so probably didn't need a reservation. Our server Annie was awesome! She consistently came to provide us with water refills and was helpful in helping us decide what to order. We ended up getting the high mountain fries which were excellent, the beef brisket burrito, and the beef brisket tacos. The tacos and fries were our favorite! The meat was super juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area! Thanks again Annie for your great service and hospitality!

Met with a friend from long ago and decided to try this spot out. He quickly found sitting for us. Waiter was nice. Location was clean and had plenty of artwork to look at. We ordered food and caught up with each other. When the food came out. Wow. We had to try quite a few dishes. I had the brisket tacos. Presentation in point and coloring. He had the brisket grilled cheese and enjoyed it. At the table we also had the short rib quesadillas, mountain high loaded fries, loaded nachos, skin on potato salad. Everything tasted great. Would definitely recommend this place.

Really liked the ambiance and vibes. If you like grilled and smoke meat then this is your spot. There was 9 of us so we ordered the Last Supper and all Smoke platter. My absolute favorite was the pastrami. My least favorite was the lamb chops even though lamb chops are one of my favorite foods. The pretzels was great but they didn’t serve it with traditional ground or French mustard. Instead it was a honey mustard that I didn’t care for. The service was ok but can definitely be better. The sides are very small and mediocre, but the meat was plenty so it didn’t matter.

The brisket and ribs are just amazingly delicious. I can taste the good quality of meats! The broccolini is overdone It’s crispy and burnt on the top part The wait for the food was more than 30 minutes on a Tuesday If you are in hurry don’t dine in! We were planning to line up early for AGT’s Final tickets at Pasadena Civic Center We were barely made it in line It’s the best meal before the AGT Final 😋😂🥰 I know, I am spoiled!! 🫶

This place is awesome. The short rib is the most tender I've ever had. Burger was good too. I would absolutely come back. Only reason I gave 4 stars was that the food wasn't hot. We came right after the rose bowl so obviously it was super busy. But the food just wasn't hot. Doesn't take away from the flavor. I would be back.

We enjoyed the Texas style barbeque offerings on our first visit. The New Zealand lamb chops were tender and had a nice kick with the chimichurri. The short rib birria quesadilla and soft tacos were delicious. The brisket queso fundido paired well with the blue maize tortillas. The drinks were late coming but our server Albert gave us complimentary shots to make up for it. Overall, it was a nice dinner. Kudos to Albert and the staff.

We came here for new years eve dinner with our toddler. Very friendly servers. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken taco and my husband had the lamb chops with chimichuries. He loved the lamb chop. It is one of the best dishes they have. The Nashville hot chicken taco was too much. Instead of small pieces of chicken it was a whole frid chicken tender on blue tortillas. i wouldn't order chicken here if I was a red meat eater. but overall I loved this place. They surprized us with shots when we order drinks. The drinks were really good as well.

Good BBQ and service. Came here for dinner during happy hour where you get a buy one get one free drink. Got the Lulu lemon drink. It was pretty good and refreshing. The waiter even brought us two free shots which was nice! Overall the BBQ was flavorful and tender. We chose Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes for the sides. The mashed potatoes were tasty but wasn’t a fan of the Mac and cheese. They have a great selection of food. From sandwiches to bbq plates. The waiter was super friendly too.

Brisket was pretty good, cooked medium, with fats so it tasted very soft and tender. The blue cheese slaw did not taste like anything, it was really bland. My friend's brisket came out really dry. The garlic bread tasted so good. They have quality choices of alcoholic drinks. Love the vibes and ambiance. Gotta get the waffle fries while you're here. My friends said the chicken sandwich was good. The servers are really nice for the most part.

Overall it was a great experience and our server was incredibly accommodating to our birthday outing. The food was absolutely delicious we got some amazing sandwiches. We got the brisket grilled cheese, smoked Turkey, brisket tacos & brisket Mac and cheese burrito (not pictured). The crafted cocktails were good. The only reason they lost stars was it was absolutely slammed and it was slow to get food and drinks. But the service was still good just some kinks to workout for a new restaurant

To be honest, I only stopped in here for a quick beer for happy hour. It wasn’t busy at that time of day and I didn’t get to try their food. The happy hour is a two for one, though you have to get the same drink - no mix & match unfortunately. We got the Mexican lager they have on tap, it was okay, probably would not order again but they had a nice menu and would order something else next time. It’s a sports bar with funny memes scattered throughout with a nice layout. Looks like the spot to be during a game or a night out with the lads, not sure about the girls yet but would have to see on another day. I also appreciated the tap handles (pictured below) which added a lot of character along with the nice leather seats throughout. Definitely worth a try!

A very good social eatery with good food and atmosphere. They bbq great briskets! I just wish it was seasoned a bit better. From our experience, I’d say you should preferably not order the birria tacos. However, the stockburger is great, and it has everything in it: 2 beef patties, mac n cheese AND beef brisket!! It’s massive and very tasty. As for the nachos, they’re tasty, but they could use some more cheese. However, the atmosphere is great! Service is also very good. Recommended for those BBQ lovers.

Really like the environment and ambience there. As for food, brisket > bbq rib quesadillas > tri tip. Also, the ‘sad mom’ beer (actually hard lemonade) is sweet and refreshing!

The atmosphere and food were solid, but the service definitely left something to be desired. We had a reservation for five, and when a few people from our group arrived early, they were told they couldn’t be seated until everyone was present. I understand that policy in some cases, but the restaurant wasn’t very busy, and it made them feel a bit pushed aside for no real reason. Once everyone arrived, we were seated, but it took another 10 minutes before anyone even came over to greet us. Unfortunately, that slow pace became a recurring theme throughout the night. Service just wasn’t very prompt, and things consistently took longer than they should have. That said, the atmosphere, drinks, and food helped balance things out. Those were genuinely enjoyable and ended up being the highlights of the experience. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt as it could’ve just been an off night, but smoother service would go a long way here.

Loved this restaurant! Once we got past the rude hostess, everything was great. The light and open space with large screens make perfect game day viewing. Happy hour here gets started early at 2pm! The drinks are creative and do not slack on flavor. Some of the drinks have a visual element that is best experienced at the bar. Go with a group and try everything! It will be pricey, but worth it.

Stopped in for a business lunch. It was quiet on a Friday afternoon but we had reservations to be sure. The brisket was beautifully smoky and tender. I didn't use much bbq sauce but it was tasty, not smoky but a little tangy. The service was good. She brought a free Friday shot which was a fun surprise. Haven't done a shot in years! Drinks were good. I got what was essentially a smoked old fashion. Located in a hip section of old town Pasadena, parking is available on nearby lots.

A favorite when in the mood for splendid bbq and meat. We had 6 adults ordered the family platter and there was plenty of food with leftovers too. The brisket quesadilla appetizer, sweet corn and Mac & cheese were favorite sides. The brisket, prime rib and ribs were the favorite meats. Four stars well we don't want them to get too rocky. But always highly recommended. And our server was awesome they were short staffed but you wouldn't know it she was a top performer.

Beef ribs were so perfectly made!! The beef short ribs fell off the bone delicious! Loaded baked potato was fire !!🔥 Cup of chili 🌶️ was good too the corn bread 🔥

The food portions were very large. I had the brisket burrito which was good but not great. Could have had more spice. They put Mac N Cheese in it (as a filler?) which did nothing for it. My son had the Loaded Potato which was huge and had plenty of brisket. My wife had coconut shrimp which was just 6 peices. But my daughter in law had the shrimp tacos which were simply super. I would recommend them. The beer selection was very weak.

I didn’t bring my sweatshirt and the giant roll up windows were open so it was basically outdoor dining. in January. We ordered an appetizer which they brought with our mains, which seemed strange. We ended up taking most of the appetizer home; I didn’t want the mains getting cold while we focused on the loaded fries. Service was speedy which was handy cause we were freezing. In and out in less than an hour. My burger was good, her quesadilla was good but I couldn’t taste anything bleu cheese on the coleslaw and the brisket was severely overcooked on the brisket fries. Very barky.

I have to update my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. The bathroom faucet for the man is still broken, and it’s leaking underneath. It’s been several months that this issue has existed, and it looks like the management doesn’t care to fix the sink anytime soon. It's a massive inconvenience because there is no water from the second faucet. You have to wait in line to wash your hands and get out of the bathroom. The management is not caring anymore because this place from the beginning, which was almost a year ago, was great! If the man’s restroom faucet is fixed within 14 days I’ll edit my review!!!

Too much of a good thing! I was not expecting the food portions to be so hearty. The MacRib comes with a whole beef rib over a burger. Both very tasty and the rib was smoked to perfection. The street corn was underwhelming, I expected corn with lots of toppings only to get dehydrated onions. That's not what people think of when you're craving street corn. My biggest complaint is the bread pudding. It had too much smoke flavor. Not sure if that's accidental or on purpose. Tasted like I was eating cigarette infused bread. Please improve your bread pudding. Literally inedible.

Needed a place for Sunday brunch with good protein options. The food was just ok, i had the tri-tips and it was on the dry side. My wife had a wagyu burger which was small in size and over priced. The staff could work on their attention to details as I have to ask several times for napkins and my table was wobbly as I have a 3 year old. Love the Lakers murals.

M
Mechelle Larkin

Won't be back again. Server was not great and the food was unimpressive. The Tri tip was tough, had to req a steak knife. Tri tip when prepared right, should not need a steak knife. My mashed potatoes never made it to the table but they sure made it to the bill. Tried to find the server but she was a ghost. We decided to just take the L $300 of disappointment.

I'm not sure if it was this particular day only but all the meat we got was super dry except the pastrami. All their food was just myeh. Nothing to crave about in flavor either. Kind of hard to give them a 2nd chance with their meats being all dry for a bbq spot.

J
Jose Mendoza Soto

Our food looked great, but im sad to say that it was dry, onion, and corn bread tasted old. Their fries and beer were good, though. Service was very good as well as the atmosphere, very family friendly and spacious.

Took a while for someone to take my order after several employees walked past and didn’t acknowledge me. I got brisket and Brussel Sprouts. The brisket was not as flavorful as others described, and it was dry. The sauce was okay at best. Brussel Sprouts were good, but $11.99 for the small portion I received was really outrageous. The total I paid was $34 and honestly, I’ve had better for less.

Great atmosphere, good place for game nights I assume. The server was fast and nice but he don’t seem happy. Menu has a good amount and it’s overwhelming. Food over all were a bit dry and salty. The wings were dry, the batter for the shrimp was salty and looked like older oil. The brisket in flauta was also dry. Artichoke dip Was the best, also the shrimp inside the batter was good

I like the service including management. I can't believe how bland the food was. The brisket and later the smoked chicken. No smoke flavor. Brussels for $11 were good, but very small portion.

I enjoyed the branch at the Westfield Mall in Arcadia. This new branch was awful. The open air front makes it freezing inside. $9 baked potato came lukewarm with teaspoon of sour cream thrown on top. The tri tip was overdone and not hot. Also tough. Sports bar atmosphere and loud. I won’t be back.

This place is just fine. Good food but nothing particularly special. But its a solid spot for some BBQ eats at a chill decent spot. What bothers me is how overpriced it is! It cost more than a dinner for us at Flemmings. The prices were just insane for what you are getting. Sides were 10 bucks a pop - and they were TINY little side containers. So if you wanted 2 sides with your brisket, that'll be an extra 20 bucks. I won't be going there anytime soon again.

I’m in town for a convention down the street & on the recommendation of a friend, decided to try this place. I’m going to have to remember that when my west coast friends recommend bbq, they don’t really know what they’re talking about. I got the tri-tip, thinking that “tri-tip is the California signature bbq cut - it should be good.” Reader, it was not. I’m not sure if their smoker was broken, or what, but there was no smoke flavor. It was just… wet? Not moist, but wet, like it had been steamed or dipped in water. It also didn’t come with a side, so my server (thankfully) recommended I get a side. Which I’m glad o did, bc the four slices of damp, but somehow still dry, grey meat on my plate & pickles was definitely not enough to fill me up. Which at $17 for the meat seems like a ripoff. So, I paid an additional $8(!) for the tiny cup of mac and cheese and well, at least I’m not walking away hungry. If you know anything about bbq or smoked meat, don’t go here. The beer was good and the staff is good. The TVs are all playing the World Series, so watching the rest of the patrons react to that has been fun.

The good. Cool casual sports bar with a relaxed yet upscale vibe....love the angel wings when you enter, the tasteful but offbeat original artwork, even a mural of the Lakers hidden out of view until you approach the bar ..even an original in the ladies restroom. Plenty of places for cool selfie. The grilled ribeye. 5/5 My mom asked for medium rare, and it came perfectly medium rare. It was the size of the platter, bigger than my moms head. It might have been sitting under a heat lamp, bec it was warm, not hot off the grill. But it was a steak with nice marbling and fat, so she was happy, though she noted the temp being just warm. Our server Wendy brought us complimentary nachos. This was a lovely surprise. Thank you. 5/5 for the freebie. We liked the corn, the pickles and the bbq sauce on the nachos, kitchen sink toppings, a shame the chips we ate were all stale. 3/5 The mango mocktail, with the taijin dipped on a side of the rim...nicely sour from the lemonade....it's a pretty drink, but it's served in an orange juice-type glass that doesn't impress or excite. Wish it were served in a bigger glass (and chilled) to accommodate more ice. The mocktail drinks were warm, so had to wait until until the few cubes did it's work. But mom liked her drink, so the mango mocktail put a smile on her face, she liked the flavor and that it was warmish. 4/5 The music. I personally liked having a nice long leisurely lunch with my mom...listening to her but also to some great music on a good sound system...Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, Earth Wind & Fire... We were there at 1 pm to 3 pm with no checkins or refills but we weren't rushed either. 5/5 for the music and the unhurried pace. Thanks! The cons. The regular baked potato that came with the ribeye was a good size, with plenty of sour cream and chives. The iffy part was the skin, hard and tough. The potato itself was not fluffy or hot whatsoever...it wasn't cold...but just tepid. Again probably sitting under a heat lamp. The blueberry mocktail. Not a balanced drink, too sweet for my taste and again tepid in an underwhelming glass, with too few ice cubes. A warm sweet albeit pretty drink...you have to blow bubbles at the bottom in order to mix the drink, which was fun...but hard to forgive the presentati9n and the tepid temp... ugh. 1/5 Tried to order the beef rib, but was told it takes six hours and wasn't ready at 1:30 pm in the afternoon. SAD. so I was encouraged to try the bahn mi sandwich instead...wish I had listened. I wanted to try the bbq straightup. The tri tip was lean, so on the dry side. A small container of thick bbq sauce, which had a great taste but was really thick sauce.. kinda jelly gooey-like it had the plopped out of a bottle quality. Hmmmm. You get about four thick slices of tri tip along with a small clutch of dill pickle rounds...and a smallish slab of corn bread 3/5, also dry but had a nice corn flavor. It was all kinda skimpy and stingy in presentation...again for a bbq place, it just felt ungenerous. I did like the smoke on the tri tip... not overwhelmingly smoked, but subtle...ultimately though...I couldn't eat it as dry as it was, doggy bag it to doctor it up at home. 2/5 Service. We were warmly greeted by a young guy. Our server Wendy took about 15 minutes to find us and kindly answered questions ...Wendy was lovely and cheerful...but she looked to be the only server working the entire place. So allowances and we were sitting at the front of the restaurant while the 6 to 8 other diners were seated near the bar and the entrance to the kitchen. A large spacious dining area was practically empty. And only 2 people walked in during the entire time we were there. Sad on a lovely warm sunny Monday afternoon. But we had fun and just enjoyed chilling in this very comfortable open space watching football and taking selfies with the cool Lakers mural.

Made reservations for a party of 7 to celebrate my best friend's birthday. First time dining in the restaurant and was very impressed by the cool/hip atmosphere. It was full of life. We were handed menus and given time to look through their yummy cocktail drinks. But we were never informed by the waitress that a couple of the drinks were not available. Bummer! Because some of us were going to order those. The drinks we did order were pretty good. I ordered the Cast Away. It was delicious. The food menu looked tasteful. I ordered the shrimp tacos and a side or Blue Cheese Slaw. Long after the rest of my group was brought out their food, I finally received my dish. As it was placed in front of me, I noticed the corn tortillas. Sure enough, I picked up my taco, and the tortilla fell apart. I immediately felt regret for ordering it. Along with the Blue Cheese Slaw (which tasted as simple as purple Cabbage and blue cheese dressing) was blah. No flavor whatsoever. It's a shame it failed because who doesn't love shrimp tacos!

The good = beer and all the TVs. The bad = we tried the brisket and the tri tip and both were dry and flavorless. The Mac was clumpy. But worst of all was the service, it was terrible! This was my first visit but the friend I was with had the same experience on a previous visit.

My sister and I wanted to get good bbq for lunch and it was extremely disappointing. We ordered the brisket with a side of street corn, the brisket grilled cheese sandwich and the chili queso dip as an appetizer. The chili dip was the only decent thing we received. Even our “Micheladas” were essentially hot sauce in a beer. We waited 40 minutes and our food all came out cold and we never even received an apology from the server. She acted like we were out of line. Extremely poor experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Have been to this place many times and always have had an amazing experience and it’s been a while since i came and is just completely different than what it used to be. it was a slow quiet day and the service was horrible. server rarely checked on us and failed to bring us any refills or napkins etc. the food came out cold every time and all the meat was fatty and dry.

20 minutes to get greeted then seated. Long wait for a waiter to come by. Appetizers took 45 minutes and were cold. Main courses were over salted and everything was lukewarm warm verging on room temp. Party of 9 spent over 250$. Not planning on going back.

My boys wanted to go to this place for dinner. It was not our first time here but this time the experience was terrible. Our waitress was so uninterested in providing good service to us. While ordering she kept looking at the game on the screen. Not only that but we could see her interactions with the other tables was different. We asked 3 times for BBQ, one to the host, she said she would contact our waitress and nothing. Then we ask our waitress again nothing. Finally we asked another random person and finally got some but at this point the brisket was already cold. It seemed that they didn't care. It was busy when we got there but as we waited for our food people was already leaving. I spent a good amount of money at this place but that was it for me. Never again, I was so pissed but I didn't say anything and now I'm doing this review.

🌍 ❤️‍🩹 📝 📌 Greetings Googlers! (Disclaimer) (Poor) This place gets only 1 ⭐️ I typically do not write bad reviews, but sometimes I feel it is necessary. Lets start, My wife and I have visited this place twice now. The first time we came everything seemed exceptional except the fact that the sign said wait to be seated and even though the place was empty the staff ignored us until we snuck back to the bar. I got a burger and my wife got tacos. Both of us really enjoyed the food and drinks. Our second visit came today 2/14/2026 we got there at 3:45 pm. The first thing we noted was again even though it was Valentine's Day the place was only semi-full and again the shocking reminder as we saw staff going back and forth with no one actually seating people. We waited at least 10 minutes to be seated. Okay, not a big deal let’s move on. Finally seated now on a wobbly table and wobbly chairs our first impression of our waiter was he was not very good. It took quite a while for him to finally come over when he did he took our drink order and a few minutes later brought both of the incorrect drinks. Still not a big deal I am a waiter myself things happen. Next it took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks and for him to take our order. The reason we come back was to try the BBQ, I was excited. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, the food finally came. I got the brisket and my wife got the brisket tacos. My wife enjoyed her food although she found a bone 🦴 in her taco in a bad kinda way. My food was less than ordinary in every way, starting with the presentation. First not a big deal but my sides were on my wife’s plate lol. The so called bbq brisket platter just looked sad and lonely. The large tray looked empty. The so called 12 hour smoked brisket was tough and hard to chew or even cut. A very and I mean ridiculously small piece of bread or bun if you will, it actually tasted okay but was so small I laughed at the idea of serving it in this type of establishment. I got a small half full container of bbq sauce with the full half pound of brisket. My sides were Mac and cheese and waffle fries. The Mac and cheese was over cooked and incredibly chewy! The brisket, when it arrived was cold. The best part of my meal were the fries whith a half full portion of ketchup. Over all, something off with this place. The math is not mathing. We will not be returning. 👎

good service and atmosphere in the middle of old town pasadena. But the food is pretty expensive - Taco comes in at more than 15 dollars which does not include any sides. We ordered brisket and tri-tip but not much favors in it and they are tough cut. Definitely not falling apart for the brisket and borderline hard to chew for the tri-tip...

Poor service and I believe it had to do with our race… I don’t ever make reviews about racism but they sat us down which my friends and I are pretty patient people. After being seated we waited a total of an hour just waiting for them to get our orders yes I get it they are busy but they kept seating new people after us and taking their orders almost immediately in our area of seating yes I understand the server is per section of booth but it was definitely was around our section even next to us we were being ignored… which we had to ask 3 times which they said someone would come which no one did we were one of the only Hispanics there we felt very unwelcomed obviously ignored on purpose and ended up leaving.

j
juan ramirez

Amazing food... when they remember to include it in your order. We ordered for our crew at the station so we ordered a large amount of items and a platter. When we came back to that station our platter was missing our 6 sides and when I called to ask for a refund the waiter was being very aggressive and irritated to give us a refund for those items instead tried to comp another item that wasnt even close to the price of the 6 sides 20$ vs 60$. After our conversation he told me that I MIGHT get my refund or not then hung up. Other than that, the bbq is amazing here

We were there during happy hour this evening. I took 2 small sips of my wine and noticed the glass was filthy with food stuck to the inside. The waitress took my glass and replaced it with a new one minus most of the wine because she didn't get someone to open a new bottle. I complained again. I had the 1/2 chicken which was cold and undercooked. My husband had the brisket which was also cold and way over seasoned. Our side of baked potato was hard on the outside and very cold on the inside.

Horrible experience at this place. We were seated and then ignored for almost 20 minutes—no one came to greet us or even take our drink order. It honestly felt discriminatory, especially since every table seated after us was helped while we were completely overlooked. We even asked about our server and still received no service. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but the lack of basic attention from the staff was extremely disappointing.

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The food arrived cold, and the restaurant itself was uncomfortably chilly — it was almost impossible to sit and enjoy the meal. The brisket was very dry, while the rib was overly fatty. In addition, the service was quite poor. After we finished eating, no one came to our table for about 20 minutes. We hope you can address these issues, as the overall experience fell far below expectations.

Was strolling around Pasadena and came across this place. Initial red flag was the table was so dirty, next my glass was dirty. Food was very mediocre. If I could give this place a -0 I would. If you are looking for good brisket this is definitely not the place to go. Save your money and go somewhere else. So expensive too.

Beware. We came on Jan 1 after the Rose Bowl and were charged $1 more on all of our entrees. We brought it to managements attention. They said they did it earlier in the day "for brunch but didnt turn it off." So all day they've been over charging everyone. They didnt even change it after I spoke to management. Everyone after us continued to get over charged too, apparently. Pretty terrible.

Ordered to go yesterday, was very disappointed with the food. Service was ok, atmosphere was great. Got 3 things, the wagyu burger which was ok, the brisket fries also ok. The problem was the KIDS chicken tenders. If it’s part of the kids menu why is there a pound of salt on them. Didn’t even feed my daughter that crap. Would give 0 stars if I could.

They tried to poison us with their food. We ordered the combo with pork ribs, brisket, and chicken. The chicken smelled disgustingly sour and clearly old. I tried one bite and had to spit it out immediately. The pork ribs were impossible to even cut. OLD meat that they are simply reheating. We returned everything because it honestly felt unsafe to eat. The waiter told us their chef had just resigned and the manager was cooking. What? The food was already terrible even before their chef quit, but the audacity to keep serving customers that kind of food instead of closing the restaurant and fixing the PROBLEM is unbelievable. That night they even had a big Pasadena Fire Department party there. How can you serve food like that to people? Pure greed and complete disrespect for customers. The owners should not be running a restaurant.

We were around the Pasadena area thinking of trying a new food place out and we choose this one. As soon as we checked in for our reservation it took some time for us to get seated.as soon as we got seated it took another 10-15 minutes for our server to come to our table to assist us. We ordered our food I had ordered a wagyu burger. We sat for more than 30 minutes waiting on our food to come until our server said “the kitchen was backed up that our food is on the way.” Our food ended up coming but mine and my partner food was cold it felt like our food was sitting for a while. Then they offered “free nachos on the house” which was just chips with cheese and some sauce. I really wanted to like this place but this diffidently opened my eyes to not believe reviews. Will not be returning to this spot.

Seeing this restaurant with decent reviews I thought I’d give it a go. Entering I was greeted and I looked around and the atmosphere was nice. Sitting down I noticed the tables were a bit sticky which I hate but isn’t that bad. Secondly I did notice the cups were stained with what looked like pieces of food or tajin. Upon receiving my food, not at all was the food hot. That’s when I knew the food itself would be disappointing. The brisket in the quesadilla and the potato were very unseasoned and felt it needed some flavor. Overall the food was bland with a lack of seasoning. When the food is great, I’s definitely forgive the other issues.

LISA T MASON

Very disappointed the food was absolutely horrible -the ribs were all fat, the chicken bbq chicken was cold and hard the fried also cold and hard and the kicker hard blackened cold broccolini for $17.00. Despite complaining of the chicken being cold fries cold they returned cold hard chicken they just reheated chicken instead of preparing it again and servicing it timely. By reheating the chicken it just became overcooked but it was still cold! The food was very bad overall served on cold steel trays which is likely the reason food wasn’t hot, easy overpriced $25 for fatty ribs no sides except $17 burnt broccolini. The waiter made no attempt to recognize the food was not good despite the complaints. I may be picky as I have worked in the restaurant business for several years. I guarantee this place won’t last. Or likely, only serves tourists. For people who live in Pasadena - they won’t return for bad cold food that’s well overpriced. Why do these restaurants ruin their businesses? I just don’t get it? Serve great hot food with great sides maybe throw in some few chips or bread and at the right price - your business will always thrive ..$25 fatty ribs and$17 burnt broccolini doesn’t attract customers.
