Dinner Dash is located at 1491 East Colorado Boulevard Pasadena, California 91106. They are known for quality, affordable Chinese food, derived from family recipes. They believe in fresh ingredients based on what is available in the market. The menu with pop-up specials feature the best finds from the ever-changing market. Their fresh fruits, meats, and seafood are always featured. I was greeted warmly as I walked to the counter. There are tables as well as a counter ledge along one wall. The ambiance is friendly and cheerful. There are colorful pictures along the walls. I was surprised to find out that all ordering is done through the kiosk that they have available. Nothing is written down. I needed assistance to explain cooking techniques and the best items to initially try. The manager was very helpful in helping me decide on what would give me the best selection of items on their menu. I decided on four items to take home. She put the information into the kiosk, and then asked for my phone number to send my receipt to. The receipt is very helpful in that it lists all the items ordered, as well as the prices. No cash, so my credit card tap took care of my payment. I sat down to enjoy the pictures on the wall and wait for my order. After about 10 to 15 minutes, my order was ready. She double checked my items…Teriyaki chicken bowl, tangy glazed ribs, Stew Napa with tofu and vermicelli, chicken gyoza, and spicy golden soup with seafood and pickled cabbage. Every item I ordered had great flavor, taste, and value. The spicy golden soup was probably my favorite. It was filled with seafood, vegetables, and pickled cabbage. There was a lot there. I enjoyed the teriyaki chicken bowl filled with vegetables and juicy chicken. The stew Napa with vermicelli noodles was a pleasant surprise. You could tell those noodles were made fresh. Great flavor, bite, and chew. The tangy glazed ribs are great! I would love to order this just as a standalone appetizer or snack. The gyoza was cooked to perfection and juicy. There are a number of food variations on their menu as well as specials that change frequently. I love the prospect of enjoying a long walk and coming here more often. I highly recommend DINNER Dash. You will not be disappointed.
A casual little restaurant offering a wide variety of small dishes ranging from $3-$8. I like this style of restaurant since you can try more things, best to go with a group and order family style so everyone can share different dishes. They have 2 large tablets to order and pay, then your food comes out quickly on a tray. Came during their soft opening so lots of dishes weren’t available, but everything I tried was good. Would be better to have larger trash bin to quickly dispose of everything on the trays, as well as napkins/water available for self serve.
brand new restaurant just opened across from PCC, very affordable and tasty! i went with my office friends and we ordered like 13 items for the same amount of money youd have to spend on 3 orders in the next door mediterranean place. we ended up boxing half of what we ordered as it was too much for the 3 of us! foods are tasty, restaurant is clean and bright!

My favorites were: the Spicy Lobsterette Bowl🦞🔥 Hunan Spicy Pork House-made Terryaki Chicken 🍗 Broccoli Beef🥦 The place feels cozy, ordering through the kiosk is quick and easy, and the food comes out fast 🚀. Also, their house-made sauces and chili oil are amazing!🌶️ If you want to try authentic Chinese food, you can’t miss it! Highly recommend!
Wow what a find! Mix and match small plates of delicious tasty Chinese food at amazing prices! Farmers provide the veggies and she uses healthy oils. Beautiful clean atmosphere. Will definitely return!!
Authentic, affordable, and healthy rarely come together, but this place has all three. The buckwheat noodles were a standout - perfect for hot weather. I also tried the sweet and sour pork ribs, which I actually preferred to Din Tai Fung’s version. They were less fussy to eat and had a more authentic flavor profile. Their Hunan pork was amazing too - unique in flavor but not so intense that it felt overwhelming. Bonus: they stay open later than most places in the area. Overall, a solid 10/10
I’ve heard so many good things about this little restaurant down the street and decided to give it a try. I was AMAZED at how delicious my dishes tasted for such an affordable price!!!!! I got teriyaki chicken bowl ($6.99!!!!!) tasted so good and the quantity was large, and also a taro milkshake for ($5.99)!! WOW And i am SO SURPRISED to see the option of a 0%, 3%, 5% tip options ?!!! I dont ever see this low % option anywhere nowadays! The crazy tipping culture nowadays, everywhere else is 15% 18% 21%. Big shout out to these humble owners!!! The service was so friendly and nice! Will definitely be back!

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat in between classes. Ordered the braised pork belly rice bowl and spring rolls. The food was made to order and delicious; large portions of rice, meat, and veggies. The spring rolls were crispy and the veggies inside had great flavor. Definitely coming back again.
Have been here since I was introduced. The food is just absolutely amazing. Love it! The price is surprisingly affordable and the quality you get from that price is just unreal! You’ve gotta try it. The only downside is if you were to do the dine-in, the music is a bit loud - just personally I do not enjoy loud environment. :)

People let me say ” Everything was Excellent “ and the prices are unbeatable. I’m going back tonight to try more dishes!! Don’t take my word, try it for yourself Yumm yumm!!
Service was exceptional, very attentive staff , told me a bit about what they do and recommended a meal to me . Taste was on point , gave me a card for free drink on my next visit

Ordered take out and the beef in the soup are all have gross bumps, tried to eat one piece and it tasted gross too. The chicken dish unless the photo also tasted bland, almost can’t even tell it’s chicken. Why you can not just provide some normal food or just on par with Panda Express???

I got a beef teriyaki bowl he got a chicken bowl. The rice was soak and wet. The teriyaki was good but the chicken was bland and flavorless. And don’t even get me started on the mango ice tea that I got. Drinking it tasted like drinking soap. I had two sips and just tossed it out. Never eating here again! 🤢🤮
