Wren & Wolf offers far more than a typical night out—it feels like a full culinary experience. While the menu leans toward the upscale side, the quality easily justifies the cost. Each plate arrived looking like a work of art and delivered bold, well-balanced flavors that showed real attention to detail. You can tell the ingredients are thoughtfully sourced and expertly prepared. From start to finish, everything felt intentional, polished, and memorable. This is the kind of place you choose when you want something special, not rushed or ordinary. If you appreciate elevated dining and don’t mind splurging a bit for exceptional food, this spot truly delivers.
Let me start by saying Jaxon is an absolute asset to this company. From start to finish, he went above and beyond in every way. Great service feels rare these days, and his level of attention and professionalism truly stood out—easily some of the best service we’ve experienced anywhere. The food was incredible, and having the chef come out to slice the Beef Wellington tableside was such a cool touch. Every member of the team who helped us was top-notch and set a new bar for what we’ll expect when dining out. All four of us will definitely be back every time we’re in the area throughout the year. Thank you again to the entire staff for an outstanding experience. Jaxon if you are ever in Lake Havasu City, we owe you a boat day on the lake 🤘
If you love great food, this place is a must-visit. Every dish impressed us, starting with the oysters and yellowtail crudo. We happened to visit during restaurant week, which was a bonus. The whipped ricotta and strawberry salad was unforgettable—easily the best salad I’ve ever had. While the halibut was tasty, it arrived a bit cold. The lobster pasta and braised oxtail pasta completely stole the show—rich, flavorful, and absolutely incredible.
Wren and Wolf was wonderfully delightful. The decor is very unique with large paintings of wolves and small game birds in a dim lit somewhat noir vibe. There are also mounted wolves, pheasants, and quail hanging around the restaurant. The food was fantastic, started with bread, salad, and some east coast oysters. All wonderfully tasteful. The Ribeye was good a little undercooked from what I requested but overall great flavor. The Faroe Island salmon was some of the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend giving it a try for date night or celebration dinner.
I took my daughter to Wren & Wolf on Friday, 1/9 for her 21st birthday and the experience was definitely a positive one. We had a 7:45 pm reservation. Upon checking in, the hostess wished her a Happy Birthday. This was greatly appreciated as most restaurants make no acknowledgment even though the details are listed in the reservation, (it’s the little things that count). Our server was great. He was personable and attentive. I wish I could remember his name (I am terrible at that) but he had on some lovely gold bracelets, rings etc that I complimented him on and he said he was from Chicago when I told him this was our first time here and we just moved here from the east coast (New York). We had the caviar and bubbles and the bread service to start. For drinks, we had the Fame & Glory and You Had me at Mezcal. Mains were the Lobster tagliatelle and the Salmon with a side of Crispy Brussels. Desserts were the Meter Lemon Cake and the Lost in the Woods. They also brought out my daughter dessert with a gold candle in it, which was nice because as I mentioned previous restaurants have not acknowledged birthday notes in the reservation. Again, it’s the little things for me and they got it right in this category. Everything was good in flavor and without saying, the ambience was truly a vibe and we enjoyed it and I will definitely be back.
Had an incredible dinner at Wren & Wolf. The atmosphere is stunning - upscale steakhouse vibes with beautiful décor and cozy booths. Started with cocktails - beautifully crafted with fresh mint and strawberry garnish. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and came with a nice variety of mignonettes and accompaniments. The crudo was delicate and artfully presented with a vibrant herb oil and microgreens. For the main, the duck was perfectly cooked - tender with a gorgeous medium sear, served over black rice with mushrooms, peas, and carrots. The presentation was stunning with two complementary sauces that added depth to every bite. This is definitely a splurge-worthy spot for a special occasion. The food, drinks, and ambiance all deliver.
The food, service, and drinks where simply amazing! Had dinner before the carnival of illusion show and one of the best nights I've had in a while starting with the service just amazing our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu offering wonderful suggestions for food and drinks! The food itself was amazing I ordered the Halibut and my friend ordered the Ribeye for dinner we also had the bone marrow as an appetizer and Lord knows it was everything you could imagine we did the caviar bump with street credit if you know you know! Oh and don't leave without dessert the meyer lemon cake and gelato where a perfect closing to a wonderful dinner.Overall I highly recommend and will definitely be back to try more Signature dishes!
Wren & Wolf absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt upscale yet inviting, with impeccable service that made the entire evening feel special. The cocktails were outstanding — creative, and clearly crafted by bartenders who know exactly what they’re doing. Each drink was a highlight on its own and set the tone for an exceptional night. The Japanese A5 Wagyu was simply phenomenal. Melt-in-your-mouth tender, rich, and flawlessly prepared — truly one of those dishes you don’t forget. Every bite was pure indulgence and worth every penny. If you’re looking for top-tier cocktails, incredible food, and a refined but vibrant dining experience, Wren & Wolf is an absolute must. We’ll definitely be back. 🍸🥩✨
Wren & Wolf: Where Every Dish Tells a Story Dining at Wren & Wolf is like stepping into a culinary dream, bold flavors, stunning presentation, and a touch of decadence in every bite. We began with roasted bone marrow, served in split beef bones and crowned with microgreens. The marrow was silky and indulgent, paired perfectly with toasted bread and a savory crumble that added texture and depth. The duck breast was a masterpiece, seared to perfection and nestled on a bed of black rice with diced vegetables. A streak of smoky sauce and pickled fruit slices added balance and brightness, making each bite feel like a well-composed symphony. Then came the truffle mac and cheese, served in a rustic metal pot. Creamy, earthy, and luxurious, with thick rigatoni and generous slices of black truffle, it was comfort food elevated to high art. And finally, the wagyu steak: grilled slices with a charred crust, finished with coarse salt and fresh herbs. Rich, tender, and unapologetically bold, the kind of dish that lingers in memory long after the last bite. Wren & Wolf isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a celebration of flavor, texture, and visual delight. Every plate feels like a love letter to gourmet indulgence.
This is my second time eating here and there are a couple dishes that no matter what I’d get… the noble loaf with truffle butter and then the spaghetti al pesto with lemon & herb whipped feta, candied pistachio and mint. The espresso martini was amazing (I had it with the repasado tequila), and if you’re able to splurge, get the Japanese A5 wagyu… definitely worth every bite.
WOW! If you are a foodie, you definitely need to go here! Everything was amazing from the oysters and the yellowtail crudo to start. We lucked out and it was restaurant week. Had the whipped ricotta and strawberry salad which was the best salad I’ve ever had in my life! The halibut was good but cold. Lobster pasta and braised oxtail pasta was to die for! Sooooo good!
Wren & Wolf is an experience, not just a dinner. Yes, the prices are on the higher side—but the food is absolutely worth it. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with top-quality ingredients. And the mixology? On another level. The cocktails are creative, perfectly balanced, and feel like their own art form. You can tell the bartenders take real pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a place with incredible food, next-level drinks, and a unique atmosphere, Wren & Wolf delivers. Definitely a spot for a special night out.
I recently had the pleasure of ordering takeout at this remarkable restaurant, and the dish truly exceeded my expectations. The dish prepared for me was nothing short of wonderful—thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. It was clear that real care went into every detail. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the chef and the entire kitchen team for the time, creativity, and attention they put into preparing my meal. Their dedication transformed a simple dinner into something memorable. This restaurant is a beautiful, upscale place to dine, with an atmosphere that feels both refined and welcoming. The kitchen staff deserves special recognition for their talent and passion, which shine through in every plate they send out. I’m grateful for the experience and look forward to returning soon.
Probably my favorite restaurant experience of the year... Great for a date night or a night out for great food & drinks with friends/family. Staff was attentive and more than just knowledgeable, clearly not simply reading off dishes from the menu, made you think about changing your order every time they spoke about another dish. While it was on the pricier end of restaurant choices it was well worth it and would/will certainly return soon. Highly recommended.
We came here for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and the service was top-tier. It’s pricey but well worth it. The place had a nice, romantic, private vibe. The lighting was dim, and although it was crowded, it didn’t feel overwhelming.
Loved the vibe here. Staff was extremely well mannered, drinks were yummy & food was outstanding! We can't wait to go back. Check out their speak easy Carry On. We were lucky enough to get tickets and that was super fun🛩️✨
Have been here numerous times and the food is always delicious. The coffee bar is great as well. I’ve had to Smashburger, which is super juicy and delicious (pictured below is a half/split portion). The Bolognese is also very good. I have also enjoyed the coffee and pastries from the coffee bar. Definitely will be a repeat customer after already having been a few times.
The food was delicious. We had several of the food options. The half chicken was one of our favorites. The salmon was also good. But, we were expecting a bigger portion of the potatoes & other sides mentioned. However, you do the option to purchase side a la cart.
The wife and I have been looking for a Beef Wellington in the Phoenix area for awhile now that was worth the price.. we found it here at Wren and Wolf!. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The steak was cooked perfectly, the pastry was buttery and crisp, and the mushroom layer added this deep, savory kick. Felt like every bite was worth slowing down for. The strawberry and honey whipped ricotta salad was insanely good too!. Our favorite thing about our dining experience was our waiter. He was really friendly and we had conversations about his traveling adventures. Really made the whole night more enjoyable. This place is really expensive but worth it
A Culinary and Atmospheric Gem – Wren & Wolf is Simply Unforgettable!! From the moment you walk into Wren & Wolf, you're transported into a world that feels like glamorous wilderness — a blend of refined elegance and untamed energy that’s hard to put into words. The ambience strikes this perfect balance between moody and luxurious, with subtle nods to nature and wildlife that make the entire space feel both wild and sophisticated. It's immersive, it's unexpected, and it's absolutely stunning. But as captivating as the setting is, the food truly steals the show. Every course was executed flawlessly — from the first bite to the last, each dish was a masterclass in flavor, texture, and presentation. You can tell the kitchen doesn’t cut corners; every element feels intentional and elevated. Whether you're there for a casual evening or a special celebration, the culinary experience makes it unforgettable. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever feeling overbearing. It’s clear the staff takes pride in delivering not just a meal, but a full experience. Wren & Wolf is more than a restaurant — it’s a mood, a moment, a must. If you're in Phoenix and looking for something that feels both luxe and wildly unique, this is the place.
Took my husband here for his birthday because he really wanted beef wellington. This was amazing. Seriously best meal we have ever had. Leftovers in the fridge are calling my name. The chef made the explanation and presentation special. Friendly and funny wait staff. They only hire high quality people here.
Holy hell this place will knock your socks off! Me and my friend shared the oxtail papperdelle and the Alaskan halibut (but with the fixings that normally come with the salmon instead). Both were insane, I’ll be dreaming about that pasta forever. 10/10 service and atmosphere as well. I wish I knew our servers name but he deserves a shoutout, incredible service! He had gages and dark hair :)
I sat at the bar - had a great time. The luxurious hunting lodge interior design was super cool. Jarod was a fantastic bartender. Had beef carpaccio, 10oz filet, EH Taylor Single Barrel, Malbec, and Tempranillo.
Great place, chill vibes. Drinks were awesome, I had the Fame Fortune and Glory. Also ordered the east coast oysters on the half shell, they fresh and the garnishes were great. Servers were awesome Miranda, Kaleb and Caleb!
This was my first time here. Brought an employee here for a birthday lunch. Ilove the atmosphere. A bit of a speakeasy vibe. They have 2 bars. They have music playing in the background but not too loud. Service was great! Our server Daisy's timing was always perfect. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. The food was so delicious and the chocolate dessert was fabulous. I will be bringing my husband here for a date.
Wow. This place was outstanding. The food, drinks, and service were all 5 stars. The aesthetic was very unique and engaging. It was a bit loud, but not unusually so. I would absolutely come back to Wren and Wolf. The beef Wellington was the best I’ve ever had.
I enjoyed this restaurant, the food was great, I got the salmon dish, and the dessert was really good! I made a reservation but it was not required. The atmosphere was very cool with an outdoor almost African vibe. My chair was lined in some kind of animal fur. The wait staff was pleasant and nice to talk to.
I love this place!! They have such delicious food. I always get the Bolognese, but they have a really delicious lobster and pasta dish and their tomahawk is great for meat lovers because literally that’s all you’re getting is a huge piece of meat. They can be rather expensive, but I definitely feel like I’m getting what I’m paying for. I would avoid brussels sprouts though, they leave much to the imagination when it comes to flavor and they’re not that good. Drinks are delicious as well!
Kyler was perfect! Very attentive! The food was top notch! Both steaks were cooked perfectly! Prawns were yummy! Macaroni was killer! And the butter cake was a great finish!!! Will return!
A wonderful first time experience. That doesn't mean everything was perfect, but it is still a 'must see restaurant' to try out. Drinks were great, wellington was good, brussels sprouts were not that great. Wonderful service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Chairs and bench seating were not comfy, probably designed so you don't linger. Table was chest height.
They're very interesting restaurant. They have an Eclectic menu. We shared small plates. The duck was very good and the bone marrow. They are right on the light rail.
The Beef Wellington at Wren & Wolf is absolutely worth every dollar! The steak was cooked to perfection, the pastry had that crisp, buttery texture you dream of, and the mushroom layer added the perfect savory kick. Every bite made me wish it would never end. I also tried the whipped ricotta salad, and it was just as impressive—fresh, flavorful, and incredibly delicious. What really made the day special, though, was my server. She was not only friendly but genuinely interested in chatting about my business, which made the experience even better since I was dining alone (with my wife out of town and my girlfriend working). Her warmth and attentiveness turned a great meal into a memorable evening. On top of that, this place isn’t overly expensive, which makes it even more worth it. Wren & Wolf has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorites.
Been here a couple times now. The food and service are both great. We did a surf-and-turf and the steak came out at the perfect temperature for us (requested medium-rare and got medium-rare 👍), and the scallops were seared perfectly and tasted great. Do yourself a favor and just get a bottle of wine for the table, we enjoyed the Gamay (a medium-bodied French red); it pairs really well with steak, doesn't overpower the seafood, and isn't too spendy. Several gluten-free items on the menu for those sensitive to gluten or Celiac, and others that can be modified to fit. Unfortunately no gluten-free desserts, however they will make you an affogato if you ask. Overall this is a very nice and classy place and great for a date night. Also be sure to check out the adjacent Trophy Room bar after dinner (requires a separate reservation, but worth it)
Sunday Brunch at Wren & Wolf is a must-do if you have the time! Great food and great service in a very cool place. The cinnamon roll is huge & delicious, and can be shared by 2-3 people. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was very good too. Big servings, you will definitely leave full!
I get the beef Wellington every time I go!! It’s seriously incredible and so worth it!! Last night Maddy our server gave us the best recommendations and took amazing care of us. Always highly recommended as this is my favorite place to bring people visiting from out of town or for special occasions!
First time in Phoenix and stopped here when checking out the downtown area. First of all, great location and very nice inside. It had a very upscale and relaxing vibe and the staff was very nice and professional. I'm a foodie and trying unique and good food is what it's all about... and this place did not miss. The menu has quite the selection from drinks to apps and mains... some things I've never even had before so it took me a minute to decide but it was all amazing. The bone marrow was off the charts and really set the tone. The filet mignon was great and very tender. My party at the table had the salmon I'm told was great and the duck which I tried a little of and was equally impressive. I'm convinced I could randomly choose anything on the list and be more than happy with it. Also heard there was a secret ish speakeasy in the back that sounded legit... if I had more time next time that would be great to check out.
I wish I could give the place 10 stars . I’ve never been somewhere , where the food was more delicious or atmosphere was more amazing . Truly felt like a celebrity with how awesome the staff was. We had Vanessa and she perfectly made sure we had what we needed and made us feel at home and recommended some amazing options . My compliments to the Chef ! Will be coming back and will be telling others to come as well
WOW! What a perfect way to end our trip to Phoenix. We were looking for a good dinner spot, got a few recommendations, and ended up at Wren & Wolf. So glad we did! We sat at the bar and had amazing service from Tim. He even made me a custom mocktail (delicious!). Side note: I wish more places carried non-alcoholic wines, there are some great ones out there these days. Food? Incredible. I started with the Charred Bone Marrow, my husband had the Spicy Meat-a-Balls, both fantastic. For mains, I had the Oxtail Pappardelle (so rich and comforting), and he went with the Filet + Lobster-Stuffed Twice-Baked Potato. Next-level good. We were way too full for dessert, but honestly, every bite of the meal was worth it. Big thanks to Tim and the whole team. Wren & Wolf is a must-visit in Phoenix!
Me and my wife wanted to spend somewhere special for our anniversary and she found this fantastic spot at Wren and Wolf. I will say from top to bottom that the service was OUTSTANDING. It felt like everytime our waiter was near when we needed him or wanted to ask a question, yet was not hovering in the slightest. The food was top notch, definitely the best I've had in Phoenix so far. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants an experience unlike any other in downtown Phoenix. Definitely try to call a few days or more ahead to secure a Beef Wellington as it was on par (If honestly not better) than the ones they serve in Hell's Kitchen, LV.
Wren & Wolf is a great choice even when you’re ordering takeaway. The food was well-packaged, arrived hot, and clearly prepared with care, which isn’t always easy for upscale dishes. Flavors were rich and balanced, and everything tasted just as good at home as you’d expect dining in. Portions were satisfying, presentation held up nicely, and nothing felt rushed or sloppy. It’s clear the kitchen puts the same effort into takeaway orders as they do for in-house guests, making it a reliable and enjoyable option when you want high-quality food without sitting down at the restaurant.
I enjoyed the experience with my wife and son. There was plenty of options, and our server(Jordan) was very knowledgeable about the whole menu. We shared one entree, a salad, a starter and dessert. It was plenty to not be overly full but nicely satisfied. The Brussels sprouts were great and very unique. The Meyer lemon cake was so light and not overly sweet. The butter cake was also delicious, my wife and son preferred it. Overall I would definitely go back if I’m ever in Phoenix again.
Great late dinner at the bar (8:30pm) on Friday. Ambience was great, with service and food being outstanding. My very particular wife had the Oxtail targatelle which honestly was one of the best things I have eaten..I had the pork tomahawk schnitzel which was amazing, but didn't outshine the Oxtail. Had a few drinks including a reposado chocolate Mart which was fantastic. All in all great evening. Shout out to Reese and Caleb (made the martini and one of my bourbon Manhattans) there was another bartender I didn't get his name, who were attentive and thorough. Good job! Will be back!
Wow, what an impressive menu! My wife and I have dined at quite a few amazing restaurants over the last 24 years but Wren & Wolf has one of the most unique menus with such interesting ingredient combinations! Each dish and side was an absolute treat! The inside of the facility has a very unique, outdoorsy feeling while still being as classy as can be. The staff was attentive and friendly as well. We can't wait to visit again to try different items on the menu! Thank you for preparing such creative and delicious dishes.
What a dining experience! From a vibrant and engaging atmosphere and service that exceeds expectations to a menu that is creative and robustly flavored; the Wren & Wolf is a restaurant at full stride. We were served by Ayla, a real service professional, who assessed and demonstrated an exceptional awareness of our tastes and conversational style. Her knowledge of the menu was extensive and every recommendation she made was on point. We will absolutely be dining here when we return to Phoenix. Highly recommend for both high-end social dining and date nights. 🤌
Overall experience was good. It was extremely busy, so sometimes it took our server a little longer but she was amazing. Had the bone marrow and filet of beef tenderloin, both were delicious. The atmosphere was great, fun and loved the decor.
Food was very good and the place LOOKS sooooooper cool. Portion size on the salmon we got was pretty small, but that was the only real complaint. Good place!!
This place is on the pricey side for my spending budget. But overall, the food was delicious and filling. The food tasting was more of an experience than just a plain meal. I would encourage those to break the bank sometimes and eat here.
very nice looking restaurant. servers were nice, but service was extremely slow. got a few of things to try, but didn’t really like anything. not much seasoning or unique flavors to any of the food.
Okay, so I have mixed reviews here. Our reservation was for 7 pm and we didn't get seated until 7:45 pm. Apparently, this is normal for Wren & Wolf. We sat in a nice lounge area to wait while having a few drinks. However, the music was so loud it was difficult to hold a conversation with people across from us. This is my number one complaint, way too loud and late seating. The menu had great variety. My salad was excellant and the beef wellington was okay. It's not a great puff pastry outside. The seafood tower left a lot to be desired and wasn't thrilled with the oysters, shrimp, or lobster/crab legs. The bread appetizers were very good. We didn't have dessert. This would be a fun night out with the guys or girls, but for business, it's a bit dodgy. It was just way too loud. I also didn't like the chairs as they were low to the ground and half the table were seated in a booth which was much higher than the low chairs so I felt like I had to constantly sit up all night to hear everyone. We were a party of 8 and I basically only spoke with 3 people on my side of the table all night due to the noise. Our waitress and support staff were excellant and very kind.
Let me start by saying I’m 35 weeks pregnant and we don’t get out too often with 2 little ones already at home. My husband and I made reservations for W & W which we have had on our list to try for some time now. We both dressed up (me in heels and a dress) and we arrived to check in early for our reservation and were told to wait a few minutes. No problem. The hostess then sat us in a half booth outside of the main dinning. It was a 5pm reservation on a Sunday and not very busy. We assumed they opened the new section and started seating. We were wrong. No one ever sat near us and we seemed to be forgotten a bit. We ordered 5 appetizers, a few mocktails for me and an old fashioned for my husband. We each ordered a steak and added a few sides. I asked for my steak to be medium well and no pink. I even told the waitress the chef could butterfly cut it to help make sure it’s fully cooked. The food took a long time to come out and once it did I could already see the blood on my plate and knew it wasn’t cooked to my request. My Husbands ribeye was cooked how he liked rare but had multiple tendons throughout the piece of meat and the amount of inedible fat was over half. Fast forward over 15 minutes after multiple staff including a manager walked by we finally were able to get our server back to the table. She apologized and sent it back to the kitchen. I was told I could eat the sides we had ordered but had no utensils or plate by this time. The manager finally came back with my steak another 10 minutes later but my husband was done eating so I took a few bites and we asked for dessert and the check. My husband and I made a stop at the bathroom and got to finally see the restaurant which is beautiful and a fun atmosphere but sadly we did not get to enjoy it since we were seated alone outside of the main dining. To add insult to injury we both ended up with food poisoning that night and the next day. Sad we wasted a babysitter and good night out (not to mention the $350+) on an average meal and crummy seating/service.
