Abner Lopez took care of us once again as we always have dinner there twice a week. Him and the staff from a distance check if we need refills and check in every once in a while. Love this place for dinner and the staff.

This place is delicious, wide selection of food and reasonably priced. Service was great and while I don't live here. When i am in the area I would return. I do not know if this is the only location or if this is a local chain restaurant. If it is a chain please consider opening a location in Watsonville CA. We need something like that out there.

I came here for the first time and it was really good. The Porter house steak was amazing!!!!! We tried multiple things from here and no complaints at all with the food. The server we had made it all better too. Keven was definitely a great server. He stayed on top of all his tables and his customer service was amazing. I work in a customer service environment and we strive to make sure we give the best customer service we can. 10/10!

My boyfriend and I hold this location in a special place in our hearts as we have frequented this restaurant for many years as a late night date spot. They have cozy diner vibes and is great to have conversations at. I always get a coffee, whether iced or hot, and recently have been enjoying their chicken caesar salad. My boyfriend fluctuates, but we haven’t had any complaints on the menu. We like to see the seasonal items they bring out as well. Abner has been our server for our last couple visits and he has consistently been fantastic! He’s very friendly and attentive.

I came into Norms because I was in the mood for some diner style food. I had to bigger, better and it was delicious. Ashley was my server and she had a great attitude. I appreciated being introduced to her because she had a great smile. She was very proficient and the food came out quickly and it was really good. I went to Norms and my god the service is great. The waitress Valerie is awesome. She has the best attitude when it comes to taking your order. Polite and accurate. Breakfast with my favorite ladies. My wife, mother, and sister. Coffee all the way around. We started with an entre of chicken wings, mom had a craving for them. They were ok in my opinion. A little too saucy. Kinda sour. Veggie omelette with pancakes for mom. My wife had chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs light and a side of french toast. My sister had the hamburger with fries. I ordered the Lumberjack with all sausage eggs over easy with pancakes. Everything was delicious. It's was very busy but the service was excellent. Can you ever go wrong with Norms? Had a late Thanksgiving lunch at the counter today and was blown away by the kindness I overheard. There was a man sitting next to me who I guess had been there since about 2am. Throughout the conversation it was clear that the man was unhoused and maybe a regular at this location. The manager, Betty, came up to him and told him over and over again how much she appreciated him being there, let him know he could stay as long as he wanted, and emphasized that this Norms was his home and he was always welcome there. I’m so proud to have someone like her as part of our Pico Rivera community.

Love NORMS. Who doesn't, right! I grew up with this place, Sunday breakfast after Mass. Usually packed & filled with the aroma of pancakes, bacon and other delights! It has a large dining area including counter seating. The building is designed with a row of large windows providing lots of light. The dining room is mainly booth seating with table areas for larger groups. The wait staff is courteous. It does get crowded around the usual meal times, so try & avoid that if you want to be seated quickly. Breakfast is a guaranteed wait on the weekend!! The food options have held up & so has the taste. You receive good size portions for the money. It's not cheap, but a good value if you're treating yourself & your family to a nice meal in a clean atmosphere and plan to enjoy. They will keep your coffee warmed & drinks refilled. There is piped in music with a selection I enjoy. There is cool Norm's merchandise for sale at tye Cashier counter. The parking lot is great too, roomy and located at an intersection, easy to find.

The waitress was unhelpful and blamed us for her mistakes. Fortunately, after we addressed the issue, our experience improved considerably. A welcoming atmosphere is crucial for a successful restaurant, and unfortunately, that was lacking.

Food is always pretty good. Larger portions than the other chain diners at comparable prices. Service can be hit or miss, depends on how busy it is. I usually do avoid on weekends though, long wait time and food can obviously take longer to get. Go during the week and avoid the crowd if you can?

Can always count on Norm's for good food and service. My wife's T-bone steak was even better than anticipated and the Bigger Better Breakfast is an excellent value. I love that the hash browns are not at all greasy like some other places. We prefer the Pico Rivera location so we drive the extra 10 miles.

Good size portions. Went for late night hours. They only had 1 cook and 3 servers so if you need a spot for a big crowd be very patient cause they don't have the employees to cover the tables quickly. Food was good and prices are great. They have a combo menu all day for a good deal

Food price is average to decent. It's usually quite clean, but they often miss the seats. Late nights on weekends can become busy with the after-party crowd. Once in awhile (at night) the local druggies will use the bathroom; I remember the sheriffs had to come for one instance lol but I'm not worried. There is only 1 thing that absolutely wasn't edible at Norm's, it was their Alfredo sauce lol, it was just straight bad when I ordered it, I would've been happier with a random grocery store jar of sauce. Bigger Better Breakfast is always reliable. The half pound burgers are tasty! The crispy chicken sandwiches are amazing. The 75th Anniversary menu has good stuff on it. Overall, a reliable place to eat with friends and family. I definitely recommend Norm's for a casual meal when you're feeling hungry.

Pretty average diner. Everything was ok in taste, but I would not recommend getting their steak. Asked for medium rare and got 'mooing in my ear' rare. They seem new to cooking and serving steaks, but everything was good. They did well with the pancakes and other usual breakfast items.

Today, Cinco de Mayo, I chose to eat meatloaf with bacon and grilled mushroom beef gravy with mashed potatoes and a soupy corn vegetable side. Not busy but they seemed to only have one waitress and one waiter who was not in uniform. The waitress was pleasant but not entirely friendly. Okay, the soup was the best thing I ate there today, and it was a spicy Gumbo. The green salad had very little dressing, I asked for more. The meatloaf was dry and the gravy was very salty. It's usually pretty good, but not today! Additionally, I ordered my mom one of the Mother's Day Specials for 24.99, it consisted of 1/2 a pound filet mignon, chicken straps, 4 fried shrimp, and a baked potato. The special included a piece of Tres leches cake. My mom enjoyed the steak, but the side of soupy corn was a miss for me.

This location is excellent but only when management is present. When the manager isn’t present, they couldn’t care less about app orders. This is probably the last visit for awhile until changes are made to improve customer service. It’s a shame corporate allows this to happen.

I usually eat at this location and everything goes good and the food is good which it was this time too but with a few inconveniences. So for one of my meals I order the chefs sampler platter and when I got home and open my bag and literally see there’s only two full onion rings and the rest was little pieces of onions rings was disappointing. It also said on the menu it comes with cocktail sauce, ranch, honey mustard and marinara and all I got was marinara. Second plate was the porterhouse with suppose to be tenders and shrimp and I didn’t even get any shrimp for which I paid for and like the other plate no cocktail sauce. This was a really bad experience for me because I don’t live as close to be able to just go back and tell them and I guess I should of checked the bag but even when I was ordering my food the guy(andres) just looked clueless when I was ordering. Hopefully this just helps with the workers going over the menu a little more.

The service was abysmal. After waiting 40 minutes for the food, the steaks were absolutely terrible. The salads were stale, the baked potato had one side completely black, and also tasted stale with spoiled, bland sour cream. We ordered 4 medium rare steaks: one was so raw that it was bleeding, another was gray with a "bubblegum pink" interior, and one was completely overcooked. Only one of the steaks was cooked right. Also, when I raised my hand to ask the server about the food, he walked right by me without even slowing down. 0/10 would not recommend.

When she took our drink orders, she walked away immediately without acknowledging anything. I also had to return my steak because it was overcooked—mistakes happen, and that’s understandable. However, instead of just taking the steak, the waitress grabbed my entire plate, not even allowing me to finish my mashed potatoes or carrots while waiting for the replacement. On top of that, she repeatedly walked past our table without checking in or giving us an update. We ended up waiting almost 15 minutes with no communication. A simple heads-up about the delay would have made a big difference. By the time my food finally arrived, we were already pressed for time, so I didn’t even get to enjoy my meal. The food itself was good, but the service was disappointing. Next time, I’ll visit a different Norms location.

Absolutely horrible! Do not go to this Norms location in Pico Rivera. We are a big fan of Norms restaurants so this was a huge let down for my wife and I. After waiting nearly 20 minutes on a Monday we waited another 5 minutes at the table for our server. She came, we ordered a short stack of pancakes, eggs Benedict, and two coffees. Before we were even done mixing our cups of coffee, our food was delivered to the table. I would be stretching it if I said it took 2 minutes. The hollandaise sauce was separated and clearly had been sitting for some time. If I go to a sit-down restaurant and pay these expensive prices for food it better be prepared fresh. It's a sad state that I can get a better prepared fresh plate from a burger joint. It's also sad that in one community the Norms is stellar and always a positive experience. While in another community, the service and product is sub-par at best. We will not be returning to this location. Do better Norms.

Horrible cashier & phone service 👎 * Bday cake 🎂 or one senior discount 😡 They hang up & their AI gets incorrect orders. Waiter and waitress are ok They didn't come around enough to refill water 🥤 Decided to have my 🥳 birthday dinner with family here. Bad idea 😞. Cashier said One meal could get the senior citizen discount 😱👎. * Didn't get my bday 🎂 cake either because it was one discount or free bday cake. 😡 Asked for a manager, the cashier was the only one available at 8 pm on a Wednesday night❗ Handicap entrance does not work.

reddish not dry pink. My boyfriend got his sent back twice when they finally got his right. I just told them forget it after the third time with mine. As we were leaving to pay for my boyfriend's food only I asked for the manager she either said her name was belly or Betty couldn't really understand her. I was letting her know the problem and her response was don't worry about I took it off the bill and seen it was pink basically implying I was wrong. Again medium rare is not dry pink. As a manager she should apologize for the inconvenience but since she is a lousy manager she was trying to tell me how I like my steak. Horrible manager most definitely and corporate will hear from me as well. Not only that when we paid cash she was giving our change back of $5 and some change we said give that to the waitress. Since the waitress did her job well. And she kept forcing us to take it until finally my boyfriend got frustrated and bluntly told her "GIVE IT TO THE WAITRESS" and she stood there with her hand out with our change didn't understand what we asked her to do. She is the worse manager ever. Been going to Norms since I was little and never had a bad experience until today. I will not be going to that norms anymore. I'll go to another but this one nope!!!!

The food was disgusting, lady who helped just kept leaving without even finishing taking our order. Very unpleased with this location. I ordered steak medium well and they gave it to me well done. It tastes like frozen foods. Lupita was our server

I ordered a bigger better omelette, but when I received it, it only had crumbs of bacon and cheese because my time was of the essence. I couldn’t return it versus omelette I ever had that could should take better pride on their cooking the bell pepper and onions and tomato were raw, not even cooked no ham no sausage in the omelette. It wasn’t a better and bigger omelette. It was a lesser bigger omelette. I go to Norm‘s twice a week order this before and it was delicious but this time it was the worst humble I ever had.

The service at this restaurant was terrible, the hosts and waitresses seemed disinterested in their jobs. I understand it’s Christmas Eve, but they should still strive to provide a welcoming and attentive service. Throughout our meal, our waitress neglected to refill our drinks, and we had to ask for boxes and the check. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, she spent most of her time conversing with her coworkers in the back.
