Ruang Thai is hands down the best Thai I’ve ever had. The restaurant is family owned and managed by the owner, her husband (the chef), and her sister. They work so hard every day and make the most delicious food. They are so kind, respectful, and more people need to give them a try. I highly recommend the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Tom Yum soup, E7 and E2 entrees. Below is a picture of the Tom Yum soup, which has a lemongrass base. Absolutely delicious! I love Ruang Thai.

If you’re looking for a family ran restaurant THIS IS THE SPOT!!! I ordered the Thai combo fried rice and it was absolutely amazing. The rice was perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and loaded with generous portions of meat and vegetables. You can really taste the quality and SPICE :) Everything tasted fresh, the onions and veggies were cooked just right, and the portion size was more than enough. Even as takeout, it held up incredibly well. This is the kind of dish you crave again the next day. If you’re looking for authentic Thai flavors done right, Ruang Thai delivers. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu. PS if you want it spicier ask for extra chilis oil on the side, they’re the best and always hook it up. :) I LOVE THIS PLACE

I ordered the fried rice and it was incredible packed with flavor, fresh veggies, and perfectly cooked meat. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into every dish. The portion was generous, and the fresh cucumber slices and herbs on top added the perfect touch. Everything tasted authentic and freshly made. Definitely one of the best Thai spots around highly recommend Ruang Thai if you’re craving real, flavorful Thai food that hits every time!

Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants we’ve ever been to! The food is just AMAZING and SO DELICIOUS! The service is fantastic and we feel taken care of! Very authentic Thai and I also love how clean the place is! The lady, who seems like the owner is so kind to us, especially to our babies. She kept checking on us, giving the babies some snacks and also gave my daughter a headband! We’re grateful for the nice experience. Highly recommend this place!

The owners are so delightful. They've been in business for 40 years. The Thai restaurant is probably one of the best that we've ever had in the DFW area. The Thai iced tea was just beyond fantastic, the food was delicious and perfectly spicy. The owner gave us some advice since we were first time visitors. She also showed us a magazine showing the King of Thailand which was so gracious of her to do that. You very rarely find mom and pop restaurants anymore and this place really seems that's they care about the food and the service. We will be making special trips out to this location.

The food is good. The service is attentive and prices are fair. The real winner here is the mango sticky rice--it's the best I've had in Dallas. They give you a whole mango that is sweet and juicy, the sticky rice is warm, and the coconut sauce has the slight sprinkle of salt that makes the sweetness of the dish pop. This place is the only spot I've found in Dallas that does mango sticky rice right from top to bottom. I'll come back just for it.

My husband and I are always looking for a great place to eat, and this restaurant didn't disappoint us. We enjoyed the delicious meals that were prepared with thankfulness and love. I had the pineapple fried rice with chicken, and my husband ordered delicious egg rolls as an appetitizer and pork strips with sticky rice. The owner and workers were very engaging!!!! Thai restaurant in a strip mall. Restaurant is starting to get a little run down. Carpets need cleaning or replaced. Restrooms were very nice and clean. Service was very good. They have a very wide selection and my spicy Thai basil was very good. Spice levels are Thai hot. Recommend for good Thai dishes

We love Thai food! This time we tried this place , dinner time, ambiance okay, there was 1 customer and we were seated right away . It's family run . We ordered papaya salad , fried chicken with basil , chicken dish , sticky rice with mango for dessert and coconut water for drinks . We requested for NO MSG since food enhancers are bad for migraine sufferers like me . Food tasted good without it and ! Will come back to this place. Owner came to check on us and yes Covid slowed their business also and a lot of competitors now !

First time here for lunch with my sister and niece. We were hungry from marathon shopping and decided we needed some Thai food. The service was great and they were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant enough. The restaurant is small and cozy. The menu has a huge variety of dishes although many of them are quite similar. Our food was served quickly and came out nice and hot. The food itself, however, was pretty bland and lacked much of a flavor profile. I was surprised by this. My sister liked her food (shrimp) but said that the shrimp was a little overcooked. She loved her Thai Tea! My niece who is vegan enjoyed her vegetables, rice and tofu. I had the beef, vegetables and rice and was just not impressed. It was bland, the beef was tough and the veggies needed more cooking time. Rice was okay. I felt the prices were too high for what we got. If the food had been excellent, I would have been okay with the high prices. I still feel like this was a decent 4 star overall experience based on the nice people who work there and the excellent service we received.

The food at Ruang is good! They offer lunch specials and lots of options for dinner entrees. Their spice level is on a whole other level! For those who like spice, this place will definitely meet your need for heat. The staff is incredibly sweet and very attentive. The restaurant decor gives tribute to the country of Thailand and has a nice feel. My only note would be is their prices are on the higher side, but I’d still recommend giving them a try!

Authentic family-owned Thai restaurant with a warm, casual vibe. The decor is neat and the place was clean. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. I have had much better Thai food elsewhere. We tried a few dishes. The Chicken Curry Puffs were decent but a bit greasy. The Pad Kee Mao was average ,it lacked flavor and had very little protein. The Kuai Tiao Kua Gai stood out as the best dish of the meal; I genuinely enjoyed that one. Overall, not bad, but the taste and portion sizes didn’t really match the cost. I am a bit surprised by the high ratings based on my experience.

We wanted to like this place. Cleanest restaurant I've ever entered. The old woman hand writing every order and punching a large calculator had nostalgic charm. We were told to wait 30 minutes, but didn't leave until 50 minutes after ordering. Driving home, we got a call that we could barely understand, something about forgetting one order. The handwritten check miscalculated and I needed to pay for another dish (waiting for recalculation 3 times). By the time we arrived home, the fried appetizers were soggy and flavorless. The duck curry was the first time having hot lychee ... and last, it was a gooey booger. For the price, we weren't expecting so many canned ingredients. Of the 7 things we ordered, we did not enjoy any of them. I have no idea how this place could be so highly rated with so many praising the food. Must have been someone else in the kitchen. At 1/2 the price, I'd consider coming back, though there are many other choices in the area.
