🌟 *5/5 stars!* "Sushi game strong! 🍣 Freshest fish, creative rolls, and chefs who clearly love what they do. The spicy tuna roll is a must-try 🔥, and the ambiance is modern chic. Service is top-notch – attentive without being overbearing. Perfect spot for date night or sushi cravings. Can't wait to be back!" #sushilove
I got the $16 lunch all you can eat on a Sunday. The menu is all rolls with rice and mostly a mix of salmon, tuna, crabsticks, avocado, cheese and sauce. For the price it’s definitely worth it, and also super filling. The sushi is better than grocery store sushi, and the filling to rice ratio is pretty good too. The service is super efficient and nice. You get unlimited rounds.
We ordered five of the all you can eat lunch buffets, which are priced at $16 per person and offer excellent value for the quality and variety. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Lee, was especially attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Service was prompt and well organized. The sushi was good quality and very fresh. Everything we ordered came out quickly and tasted great. We started with the Heart Attack roll as an appetizer, which was a nice and flavorful way to begin the meal. My son also ordered noodles, which he really enjoyed. With the all you can eat option, you can order as much sushi as you like, as long as you finish what you order. There is a small extra charge of 70 cents for unfinished items, which is reasonable and helps reduce waste. Overall, we had a very positive experience and left satisfied. If you are looking for a solid all you can eat sushi option in Plano, I would highly recommend giving Sushi Shack a try.
There five of us for Friday Dinner. Four of us did AYCE sushi. One of us had the teriyaki bento box. All of us loved the food. Very fresh. Very tasty. Service was great. And we could actually hear each other talk! Will definitely be back.
Sushi Shack is one of my favorite AYCE sushi places in Dallas. It's fantastic. The dinner AYCE menu isn't vast but it has a lot of great rolls and is only $25 a person. My favorite rolls are the Salmon avocado roll, the Alaskan roll, the Hawaiian roll, and the Gold California roll. The chefs are extremely fast at getting the orders out and the servers are super nice. The servers know me by name as they see me so often! I highly recommend this place.
This place is great. The food is good and great value. Normally rolls go for like $15 each but you can have as many as you want for $16 (lunch) or $25 (dinner). We were able to get 9 rolls for 2 people. Sure we could have eaten more but it was night and didn't want to be that full. One thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars was the amount of rice on the all-you-can-eat sushi. It was twice the amount of rice you would normally get on some of them and that fills you up fast. I can understand the reason. You HAVE to eat the rice. Any significant amount of rice not eaten will be charged extra. So if you think you can just trim some of that rice off then you'll be charged extra for it. Also, anything you order you HAVE to finish. No leftovers. Still, if you get even just 2 or 3 rolls, it would be already worth it. This is definitely a great value even with the amount of rice. Definitely a solid 4.5 stars. Update: subsequent visits the amount of rice decreased. Not sure if it was just that first time but now this place is 5star for me.
This place is the bomb .com... arrived. Got greeted and seated in a short time. I ordered and got a water, cuz this is all you can eat sushi. LOL was there for the sushi and it did not disappoint. Rolls were great in size. Attentive staff. Great overall experience. I went on New Year’s Day in the evening and had no issues. Highly recommend. And got super full....*** update second visit and still awesome everything. Tried the raspberry tea and only 4 rolls this time. Superb and still great
Food is top shelf and there are a lot of sushi joints you can hit here in NorTex, but this one is definitely worth a sit down. Extremely fairly priced and it's not just an all you can eat thing. You can also order a la carte and they've got great specials for that too. If you can deal with the fact that you don't have some iron chef from Japanese TV serving you at Nobu (and dropping $1-200.00 per person, this will be your new go-to.
Always fresh! Usually our go-to spot for sushi, but recently they have removed the buy one-get one free salmon roll and we feel personally attacked because it’s all that we order. Please bring this deal back!! Thanks
Great Value and Surprisingly Good Sushi! I stopped by Sushi Shack in Plano for their lunch special and was genuinely impressed. For just $15, I got an all-you-can-eat sushi experience that offered real value without sacrificing quality. Each roll was freshly made to order, and you could really taste the difference—none of that pre-made, sitting-out-too-long feel you get at some places. Service was quick and efficient, and although one of the staff members wasn't the most friendly, everything else more than made up for it. The sushi came out fast and fresh, and for an all-you-can-eat spot, the quality was actually better than what I’ve had at more expensive sushi buffets. If you're looking to get a bang for your buck and still enjoy quality sushi, Sushi Shack is definitely worth a shot. I’ll absolutely be back!
Very delicious food!! The 25.00 all you can eat sushi is decently priced, considering three full rolls anywhere else would cost you 40+. I got the spider roll, yellowfin, and the salmon rolls. The salmon was INCREDIBLY fresh. It was creamy; almost like a paté, a little nutty, and no fishy flavor at all. The spider rolls were crispy from the fried crab meat, and I was happy it wasn't an imitation crab. The yellowfin wasn't my favorite, but it was still a fresh piece of fish, so I'll give them credit. The menu itself was a tad confusing but it was probably my own fault for not noticing. I wouldn't have chosen yellowfin if I had realized the entire dinner menu INCLUDED the lunch. I would have gotten the Tuna. Either way, the rolls were fantastic, and I will definitely be coming back to try more. The drink selection is sodas, hot jasmine and hot green tea, cold bottled Arizona tea, they have wine selections as well, and sake. They also have a soup and salad bar, where I chose a miso house soup and my friend picked a salad with ginger dressing. The lighting is a little dim for my liking, but the decor is beautifully designed and welcoming. The server was nice and attentive. Overall, a great experience that deserves another chance to come back.
My son and I aren’t snooty about sushi which makes us fairly easy to impress. Thus, we genuinely enjoyed our AYCE dinner here! We were impressed by the taste, the creative options, and the speed! We’ll be back! The Brian Cranston autograph was cool too! Can’t decipher the other one and didn’t ask who it was…
We came to sushi shack looking for some good All you can eat sushi. We saw sushi shack did AYCE, so we gave it a shot. We came in on a Monday around 4pm. Lots of seating and they had some really good music playing. I love the aesthetics of the inside. I did see reviews of the the rude lady. I'm pretty sure she served us, but I think she did a really well job and was polite. She attended to us very well, and provided great hospitality. We did the AYCE dinner for $25 before tax. I think it was a pretty solid deal and the food was really good. The only downside was that the yellowtail roll had a wrap that was a little mushy/chewy, but other than that, the rolls were bursting with flavor. The best roll that I enjoyed was the sunset roll. The bathroom was really hot from what my woman said.
Really enjoyed our night at the Sushi Shack, we were in about an hour before close and almost had the place to ourselves which was nice for a date with my wife. I had the all you can eat with a variety of delicious rolls and my wife had the spider roll which she enjoyed. All rolls I had were fresh and tasty. Rolls are heavy on the rice but still very good fish to rice ratio. Finished with some tempura ice cream that was a nice treat, we will definitely be back!
Update: ordered a large take out through Uber eats and everything was excellent. Exactly how we ordered, correct, fresh and delicious. I will definitely reorder soon! Great portions for the price! I was a little skeptical at first but once the food arrived I knew I’d be back. Portions and quality are great!!
I got the Sushin Bento special + cold green tea to go. The house salad was okay as the chopped lettuce were brown. Sushi was okay and it didn't taste fresh at all. Cold green tea as I thought it would be a Japanese green tea brand bottle as I wasn't expecting Arizona green tea.
Honestly would have been better if the service had a lot more effort in it. It seems that the server treats certain groups differently. Maybe it’s because we are students and she assumes that we wouldn’t tip as good ? I also notice that when I say thank you towards the server when she serves the food or gives us water she doesn’t even reply with a “your welcome” or anything at all and just walks off. That’s the thing is that at times i don’t feel welcomed when i come to this restaurant, and it would make the atmosphere a lot better if she had better service standards. I usually tip the average of 20 or 22% but for today it didn’t deserve that percentage. I’ll change my review if I notice any improvements but for now it will be a 3 star.
Came in tonight for dinner with my family—Ended up paying $100 for four of us. We usually have ayce sushi atleast once a month, so we decided to go here since it was nearby and we haven’t tried it yet. Sushi quality is not good, you get what you pay for. The sushi easily fell apart, and the sashimi quality was slimy. Our server was great though, very pleasant and quick to take our orders! Just recommend going somewhere like Sushi Kushi for better quality sushi for $10 more.
My wife and I stopped into Sushi Shack after visiting Paint N’ Party next door. The $16 all-you-can-eat lunch seemed like a solid deal. At first, we liked it. The space is cozy, with old-school hand-painted art on the walls. The salad bar and miso soup were a great start. The sushi rolls were large, and the rice was decent. Overall, most of it tasted okay. I’d place it a notch or two below grocery store sushi, except for one roll in particular. The Love Roll, a California roll topped with a mix of “fresh fish,” was immediately off-putting. The fish smelled almost rancid, and the texture was firm in a way that suggested it had dried out. We did overorder, and there’s a 70-cent charge per leftover piece. I explained that we couldn’t finish the Love Roll because the fish quality seemed off. I wasn’t rude, and I mentioned that the rest of the rolls were fine. The waitress reacted strongly and seemed offended. She told me I just hadn’t had albacore before and said they’ve been open for 10 years, adding that I shouldn’t call their fish bad just because I didn’t like it. I was surprised by how quickly the situation escalated, especially in front of other diners. I tried to clarify that my concern was only with that specific roll and that I was willing to pay for the rest of the uneaten sushi. The interaction ended up feeling awkward and tense. She went to tell the sushi chef, visibly upset, and it left us feeling uncomfortable. We didn’t have major issues with most of the meal, but the experience overall put us off. I won’t be returning, and I can’t confidently recommend it, even at that price point.
Went there for an early Father's Day dinner to treat myself. Selected the All You Can Eat option as I had fasted all day and was craving sushi. The AYCE option is fairly inexpensive, and I know why now. I ordered the rolls identified in the photo, and they were delivered fairly quickly. Most of the rolls are fried, and the fish did not taste that fresh. The AYCE option was pretty limited to just rolls, and while regular sushi and sashimi were available, it was $1.50 extra per piece above and beyond the $25.00 AYCE dinner price. The decor, the food, and the menu were tired and dated. When the sushi rolls were delivered, they were poorly assembled, and the fish to rice ratio was way off. Each roll had too much rice and not enough filling. The crayfish roll that I ordered had no visible crayfish tails in the roll whatsoever. I can only surmise that they cut the tails apart to put even less meat in the actual sushi roll. The fried rolls were much too large, requiring 2 to 3 bites to consume each piece of the roll. The sushi rolls were average at best, matching very closely to the rolls served at some Chinese buffets around town. In fact, the Chinese buffet sushi has more meat in each roll. They use way too much rice in each roll and not enough other components such as avocado, cucumber, fish, etc... This place is cheap, but the sushi is not good. I don't recommend this place at all.
