Delicious food, wonderful, speedy, friendly service and cozy atmosphere! If you're looking for breakfast options in the Plattsburgh area, this is the place to go! I would highly recommend this restaurant for gluten-free and gluten sensitive diners. They have gluten free pancakes, waffles, bread, bagels and wraps! They are also accomodating to dietary needs. I will be visiting again soon!

This place is great always great food and good service, me and my wife love this place we call it our lunch spot to eat. We never had any bad Food I don't know where people are saying about the food there macaroni soup is great along with the rest of there food. Their prices are average like everybody else's I don't think you're that expensive For the amount of food that you get Go to McDonald's they charge your most $10 for a hamburger and French fries. Like I said we love the place.

Food is good quality and reasonably priced. Nice clean family atmosphere. Food is freshly prepared and hot. Wait staff is friendly and quick to serve with a smile. Meals are nicely portioned and as good as home made, and don't forget a nice fresh slice of pie for dessert. Never had any issues with this cozy place.

Simply the best family owned restaurant in town. The food is great and you'll get a warm, home cooked meal served by a friendly waitress. Go ahead and learn their names because, unlike big chains, the people serving you will be there every time you come back. They treat everyone, staff and customers, like family.

Excellent Chicken and waffles! 1 large waffle split in half sandwiched 4 chicken tenders served with sausage gravy, butter and maple syrup. Lots of hot strong coffee too. I came early SO very few people there and I got very attentive service. I'll be back soon.

All employees and owners are great friendly persons. Then we come to their food six stars is putting it mildly. Try their French toast cornbeaf hash and do not blink an eye for their link sausage or patties, though I prefer those nice snappy bits you get from the links. Love eating here. Every time I visit Plattsburgh I have to visit this restaurant. Michigan's are terrific and they have tater tots with cheese that are awesome. The pumpkin pancakes are as big as the plate and twice as good. The strawberry shortcake is old fashioned and wonderful. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. It's become a weekend tradition to get breakfast Sunday morning here. Massive portions, incredible food (serving both breakfast and lunch) and wonderful staff! I've gone dozens of times since I moved here and not once had a bad experience. My only "complaint" is that if you show up between 9 - 11am during the school year, they're packed, with a line out the door - but that just goes to show how popular they are!

Always welcoming and happy to be busy, the people who work there keep you coming back. The food is served quickly and it's consistently good and just what you'd want from a michigan place or diner. If out for an appointment I don't mind eating lunch by myself here because of the friendly atmosphere

Busy place, but of course that means it is good service, good food, and great prices for the portion sizes. The portions are not overwhelming, and best of all, they have distinct flavors, not just monotonous grease, and unique recipes on the menu, not just as flavorful specials. AND they serve lunch all day!!! I recommend the strawberry stuffed French toast and the Spanish omelet. The hash browns were also tasty.

Hometown atmosphere. Our server was pleasant and checked on us but did not overdo it, so that was refreshing. I ordered the breakfast wrap, vegetarian, which means a bunch of veggies with my eggs. It was delicious! My daughter ordered Blueberry silver dollar pancakes, full of blueberries. She loved them too. Great experience. Thank you MP!

This is a small, family run operation that caters mainly to a breakfast and lunch crowd. Liz's customers are treated to the style and service they have come to expect. Her friendly wait staff is always working to make the dining experience better than ever. Skill and friendliness are still the order of the day. The great extensive menu helps too!

Got takeout, as usual. It was around 12:30 on a Sunday. They were busy, but they had my order ready in less than 15 minutes. Eggs were just right, bacon was crispy, and the pancakes were large and fluffy. Only thing I would have changed is to have asked for a few more strawberries for the pancakes, but these are the kind of cakes that could stand on their own, with very little embellishment. No trouble parking. A little pricey, but what isn't these days - and it'll make more than one meal. 😉

I had sausage gravy & biscuit with a side of their fried taters & onion and a couple slices of maters with mayo & pepper. I took home half and ate the rest for dinner that night. It was the first time that I had dined there. It was delish. I'll go back to try other dishes.

Awesome breakfast , I ate at the counter and met the owner she was great very authentic and real. I had the eggs Benedict and added spinach with it , it a true hollandaise sauce so I enjoyed that , some places put a cheese sauce not for me. Anyways a great place to eat and a great price try it .

We stopped in for breakfast while on the road home after vacation and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff is welcoming and helpful, and the food is delicious. The French Toast was a particular highlight. I was only passing through Plattsburgh, but this has to be the place to go for a great meal served with kindness.

Even though they’re open 7 days a week from 7am till 3pm. ALL the staff was so kind and courteous, they were quick and came by often to see if we needed anything etc. I can see why this place was packed with people of all ages! Had a good visit here with my wife and son. I ordered the patty melt, Patty melt was pretty good could of used more flavor but was good. I grew up with a family that made there own michigan sauce, and I aswell make my own which is why we made it a priority to try there's. Loved this breakfast! Fast, friendly, and amazing. Had the meat omelet and my friend had stuffed French toast coated in corn flakes! Omelet was amazing, perfectly cooked, good amount of the meats. But her french toast was next level. Never had french toast in corn flakes before! So crispy and sweet! And she insisted on an order of the rice pudding! Again, amazing and full.of flavor! Warm, cinnamon, raisins, soo creamy! Don't sleep on this place!

I hate finding a restaurant that I like so well 800 miles from home! We sure wish we could dine here often. We had a fantastic breakfast here while on our trip. My wife’s omelette was fluffy and full of fresh ingredients. She has celiac and the restaurant is very accommodating to gluten allergies. They grilled her toast, so as not to be cross contaminated in a toaster. My eggs were done perfectly, with great home fries, sourdough toast, and ham. And our server was so friendly, helpful, and efficient! Five stars all around!

This place gets busy. It took a bit to get seated. I usually eat my french toast or pancakes dry, but for some reason, I couldn't get enough of their syrup.

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. Had heard good things and noticed the place is always busy. Oddly enough, they don't serve lemons. Instead they have a 'lemon' packet, in which the first ingredient is water. And not much lemon flavor at all. A real turn-off. The food is mediocre and just ordinary at best. The service is spot-on, which is why there are three stars. I know the place is a staple in Plattsburgh and been around for many years, but we will not be returning.

This was my last Michigan in Vermont. Maybe it was me but the sauce and dog just tasted off. I also got rice pudding and chocolate cake for my sweet tooth. The people were nice.

Found a tip of a plastic bag in my strawberry stuffed French toast! The waitress came in to check on our food only when she brought the check. The only thing she could say was "it's good you didn't eat it!" Eggs and sausage were cold, French toast wasn't too bad.

I was very ready to go have breakfast at what is usually a great place to eat. I had done my errands for my wife and got to Michigans Plus in Plattsburgh, NY at 12:15 - thought it was gonna my lucky day. Got the parking space right in front of the entrance and went it. I went straight to the seat yourself bar where the two people next to me were looking over their menus with water in front of them. I nodded hello to them and waited for a menu and a server. A couple of minutes later, the waitress showed up and asked the two next to me if they were ready to order. They both ordered and it all sounded great. The lady took their menus and put them in their little holder right in front of me. Now, maybe she thought someone else was gonna give me a menu or even acknowledge my existence with a greeting. She told the two next to me, “I will put that right in and get you your chili.” To me, she said nothing. I know and recognize that we are still struggling with a pandemic and restaurants are almost all short handed. I have no problem with that except with the fact that for almost twenty minutes that I sat in Michigans Plus ,no one, including the owner and even the chef that walked by, said even ‘hello’. Yes, Michigans Plus was very busy but the waitress had the time to bring all of the food to people on my left and a piece of chocolate cake to the gentleman on my right but could not find the time to give me a menu and say something like, “I am sorry, we are very busy I will be with you as soon as I can,” and trust me, I would have understood. After twenty minutes, (give or take two minutes), I told the people eating next to me, “Have A Nice Day!” and I walked out and drove 5 minutes away to another great breakfast place on Bridge Street in Plattsburgh called The Campus Corner. Even though they were just as busy, they managed to greet and serve me and send me on my way happily, with a full belly, all, in about the same time I sat and waited at The Michigans Plus in Plattsburgh, NY. Thus, my first one star has been awarded to them! Have A Great Day!

Deep fried was fried to a crisp, to the point of not know what the meat was and the mashed potatoes were lukewarm with cold spots in them. Waitress was not attentive at all. Dropped off the food and didn't see her for about 30 minutes. Ended up getting back to work late. Very dissatisfied.

I have given this restaurant quite a few chances, more than I should have, because every single experience i had was terrible. I am pretty laid back and understanding, but when it takes over 27 minutes to get a milkshake that's where i draw the line. I had gotten my to go order before I received my milkshake. By the time I got my milkshake it was very soupy. The owner and her daughter are amazing , but their waitstaff had always been terrible every single time.

The most absolute worst experience at a restaurant in a long time. French fries were ice cold and burger was totally raw. Michigan hot dogs were also cold. Informed the waitress and she took the burger to the back to the adult behind the counter and they just laughed. Spent over $100 with my family on our meals and it was terrible. Never again. Not even an apology from the cook or a discount on the bill

This was a horrible experience. This is a place that my wife and I used to go to often that is until the owner and her daughter showed their true colors of Racism and Biggotry. If you want to have a disrespectful, racist, and bigoted, experience than feel free to go and eat. Otherwise I would skip it and go to a place that will serve you because if you are black, we'll frankly anything other than white, they don't serve your kind here as they told my wife. Enjoy folks. I can not believe the meal that was served to my friend , who had never been here before! A large Chicken and Biscuit meal. Not one speck of a piece of chicken, a small biscuit on a side plate, and she said the potatoes tasted like Instant. Totally disappointed! Liz, I expect quality food , generous portions, and am sorry. My friend will never go back!!!

We ordered 4 Michigans buried, meaning put the onions under the hotdog. NASTY! The onions were dehydrated, the hotdog buns stale and the Michigan Sauce was made with ground poultry. One would think that a restaurant named Michigan Plus they would be serving a top-notch Michigan, a noted delicacy for the area. We will not return to this restaurant and anyone wanting a Michigan during the winter season then go to McSweeny's.

The food was disgusting. We couldn’t even finish our breakfasts. My hash browns were swimming in oil. So nasty, and after I pointed this out to the waitress, her attitude and demeanor became very ugly. We were travelers, so first impressions count. Eat at the Hungry Bear. There’s a world of difference between the two.
