We had lunch as a group of 8. Cavan(our server) was happy to split up the bills. Lunch was to everyones liking & came out very timely. My meal, a cheeseburger was delicious and the salad fresh & crisp. We will definitely be back again.
Very good experience at Sidetrack tonight with my son. Attentive staff, prompt ordering and food came out well timed. Delicious scoozi bread, then enjoyable chicken sandwich (great bread) and chicken salad. Will be back soon!
The place is mostly full of white people...I have to say that. It has a really nice setting I gotta say. The neighborhood is sort of surreal. The food was okay you just have to order what you like. I made a horrible mistake choosing something that had mustard...which I hate.😭 Other than that it's really a great place.
This is NOW my favorite restaurant in the WHOLE EAST Bay. If you remember Scoozi bread, it's here. Had a great Reuben sandwich. Great service. Highly recommend. I'll be here a lot moving forward. Now they offer smoked meats and lots of special events.
Yum! Seated right away during the lunch hour although they were packed. Brisk, efficient and friendly service. Scoozi💕and juicy burger we're delightful. Will return. Update: August 2020 takeout order was perfect! We've had some poor to mediocre experiences around town while trying to support our community during lockdown but Sidetrack nailed it.
Unique menu, oh sooo good. Loved the calamari and a sweet potato fries. Maui wowie BBQ pork sandwich was incredible. Great atmosphere and friendly workers. I will eat here again. See you all by the tracks at Side Tracks Bar + Grill. 🤙
Stopped by on our way to San Jose. Awesome staff, great breakfast!!! Jesus is a great server. Outside and indoor seating.
Love this place. This was the first time time. Will go again. Avocado roll, Caesar salad was excellent.. grilled chicken was too delicious, tacos😋
Came here with my boyfriend and best friend after a long hike in Sunol, we were starving! Went on google and found this gem. Service was fast, food was delicious, and our waiter was so kind and down to earth. We will definitely be coming back.
We just left Sidetrack and had an awesome experience with delicious food! I had the Aloha burger sub grilled chicken and it was so good! Others at the table ordered the hangover burger and the Texas bbq burger. We also had fried pickles for the table, which we all loved. Everyone was more than satisfied with their meals... We will be back!
The food and service was very good. My husband and I will be returning. Update: 3rd time there today and still great food, service and drinks.
Great food at a great little place downtown. The menu has has a little bit of everything, just the right amount of options and a nice drink/beer menu as well. Tasty, slightly upscale sports food. The pulled pork sandwich and fries were delicious! The place itself is not too big, but has an open feel and good mood lighting for either a date night or watching a game. Theres a nice patio area for warmer days/nights as well. We'll be back for sure!
First time there for a couple drinks catching up with an old friend. Nice atmosphere and heated patio. Menu looked good. Will go back for dinner next time I’m in town.
One of those places where it's hard to decide what to get because everything on the menu looks so good. My friend and I had the Croque Madame and it did not disappoint! Lots of shaded, outdoor seating. Friendly, attentive service. Will definitely be back soon!
This is my favorite spot to eat and grab a drink in Pleasanton. The staff is very friendly and the bartenders are amazing. I highly recommend this establishment. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. My go to are the Reuben sandwich and the Cubano (with an egg on it).
We had an excellent experience for our large group party. We got to use the outside patio area; had it all to ourselves. Service was amazing and the food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend this place if you are looking to host a large group.
Wonderful design, great to sit outside. Beyond burger on the menu. The owner Todd is a very kind guy that came over to the table for a sincere talk to get acquainted. All servants were relaxed and kind. We will surely be back to explore some more of the menu!
Love this place! An off main street local staple. The comfy patio dining is always the best! Great selection of brews and food. Location is perfect.
Went for a quick bite and a drink with old AVHS friends. Food was pretty good, service better, and dog friendly outside patio. We'll be back.
Great place. Food is delicious. Casual ,family friendly. Todd Utikal the owners comes by your table , asked how the food is. Friendly staff. You can sit and watch the game if you like. They have a bar and numerous beer and wines to select from. I have returned numerous times.
Great family owned local sports bar with unique and fantastic tasting food. Thankful they survived the pandemic. Happy we supported them with all our orders.
The service was great. Loved the beer selection. Great place to meet friends for a casual lunch or dinner.
SideTrack Bar + Grill is the absolute BEST place to go in Pleasanton! Excellent food (their burgers, the Cubano sandwich, and the cobb salad are among my favorites) and exceptional service. As an added bonus, Todd, the owner, supports our community like no other, through Tips For Change fundraisers, raising money for our schools, and more. Don't miss this place!!
We had an event after a memorial service at Sidetrack and can’t say enough good things. Todd and everyone that helped us were amazing. The food (big kudos on the cauliflower), the atmosphere and service was incredible. We were in the Angela Patio on a rainy night and the patio was cozy with the heaters and the perfect place to have a special event. Thank you Todd.. everyone was so kind and you all took such great care of our family! I would recommend you to everyone.
Just went there for their scoozi bread rec ommended from friend. Ordered take out. Look like a fun place I arrived 25 min early for pick up tue hostess was amazing she got my order filled within 5 min of me arriving 20 min earlier . Great customer service friendly staff definitely will go back for lunch or dinner .
I went here recently and was impressed by everything on the menu. Their beer selections were on point and all of the items we ordered were excellent. I highly recommend trying the Absolut! Prawns which were decadent and the fried pickles as a change-up to what otherwise could be onion rings. I ordered the seared salmon as my entree and loved it. Definitely many more items on the menu to try out so I'm looking forward to returning hopefully soon.
We had a blast at their Octoberfest! We also have gone to NYE, and just for lunch or dinner. The seasonal salads are really delicious, and I love the pulled pork sandwich.
1st time visiting. Food and drinks were awesome! Our waitress was knowledgeable of the entire menu. She suggested the butternut soup, it was a great soup (must try). Restaurant Manager came out to ask how our food and drinks were. My date chose for our first date meeting spot. Loved the seating, deco, music, if watching a sport TV screen near bar, and relaxing atmosphere. By the way, our date was successful. ♡
Had a great experience here! Came across as your run of the mill bar and grill but the food, drinks, and service really made it shine. Absolute favorite thing about this was the skill and efficiency of the bartender Elise. It was clear she knew what she was doing and every drink she made was wonderful. Staff was attentive without being overbearing and always prompt in delivering all orders, even throughout a Saturday night rush. Great beer list and great signature cocktails, will definitely be back.
Found out about this place from yelp, and went to check it out w/my sister and my brother in law. Super friendly and attentive staff and the food was delicious (I got the fish & chips, and my sister & BIL loved their food as well). Great atmosphere, and who we think is the owner checked in with us often to ask if we liked our food, very nice gentleman. We're already talking about coming back to try the brunch menu!
Both the food and service were excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and prompt. The food was seasoned well and a good value for the price. What stood above and beyond all else was Elise, the bartender. She was skillful, professional, and crafted excellent cocktails expeditiously. I'll absolutely return here. Thanks!
Had their signature burger and some garlic fries. One of the best burgers I've ever had! Service was warm/friendly and we ate outside on a nice day/was great. Wasn't a fan of the interior atmosphere so glad for outdoor seating, heaters available too! Thank you, drove far but will be back! 👏👍👌💝👋
Chef AJ in the house. As a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef, I have an eye for talented people, hospitality, and food. The owner's philosophy permeates this local eatery. I believe it is one of Pleasanton's most welcoming establishments. If you've never been go. Once you are paying your bill. I hope you'll think about the next time you'll be returning. I've been struck so profoundly by everyone there I've placed it, and two of the bartenders in my upcoming book. Poetry & Recipes from the Bumpy Road Less Traveled.
Fun, well-managed, family-friendly restaurant. Great patio! Servers here are often young high schoolers and can sometimes be a bit inexperienced, but they always try hard and do their very best. And they are all super friendly. We appreciate that! Managers and Owners are there often working the floor, running food, bussing tables, you name it, and they ALWAYS go above and beyond to make the dining-out experience fun, memorable, and comfortable. It’s so nice to see owners doing hands-on type stuff…it’s quite rare these days in the restaurant biz! The kitchen crew works incredibly hard and they put out consistently good, elevated pub food, from burgers to smoked meats; from grilled salmon to fish & chips; from interesting appetizers to large entree salads. Food tastes consistently good and is fairly priced. Restaurant interior is super clean. Can get a bit loud inside but it’s always fun and lively. Great beer and wine list too. And…they have Athletic Brewing Run Wild non alcoholic IPA (one of the best “craft” non alcoholic beers currently on the market). Thank you for carrying this, and thank you for serving it with a glass! It’s the little things. Solid choice for a family spot that all ages enjoy. Keep up the good work! The city of Pleasanton is lucky to have you.
Great drinks, atmosphere, and service. The food is also amazingly delicious. My favorite is the Cubano sandwich, but the tater Todd's and avocado egg roll are also tasty options. I have also tried the SideTrack burger and it was thick really good. The owner is there almost every day making sure his restaurant is running up to his standards. I highly recommend going here for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or a round of beers with friends!!! Family friendly
1st time here tried it out because my son's school fundraiser for Foothill High School Basketball team lets go Varsity
Had a great experience here on a Saturday during the Farmers Market! The place is very nice and the patio was shaded, neat and clean. We were seated immediately and our server was friendly. The food was average price and tasted delicious! I especially enjoyed the Irish Coffee and the omelette. We were apprehensive as to how busy it might be on a Saturday morning, but were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be headed back.
My wife and I've been there in the late afternoon BUSC MLS fundraiser event, and we had a great time eating some good food. I had fish and chips and my wife had the sidetrack burger, which was delicious. The staff was friendly, and our server made sure that everything was okay.
The coconut shrimp were HUGE! We always enjoy the ahi avocado poke and seared ahi salad. Tonight, we had a burger and the absolut pasta. We ask for it to be extra spicy!
My kids and I had a great experience at sidetrack. We love the family oriented experience we had and always have when we come. it’s due time for a review! The fish sandwich and summer salad were incredible. In the past everything from service to food is the best but I love their burgers and wraps! They also have a great bar selection and delicious drinks! We will continue to come back. Kids love it!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place!! I have been coming here since they opened. The staff has always been amazing, efficient, friendly, and warm. Half the time I bring my dog, which is amazing because they offer an outdoor patio and welcome family dogs (like every other place in pleasanton :) and the other half of the time I go inside . Both areas are nice, welcoming, clean, and enjoyable. Their food is amazing! I’ve never had one issue with any of their dishes. They sometimes have the smoker plates available and they are soooo good! They have the “smoker calendar” QR code on their menu which is super helpful. Everything on the menu is great too! My son loves the sidetrack signature burger, which he gets every single time! See you again very soon sidetrack!
We went in for a celebration and we enjoyed ourselves from the staff who attended to us to the food and the atmosphere, it was a great experience. There was ample parking, and the restaurant was busy yet quiet. The service was swift, the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff was exceptional. I ordered the coconut shrimps and birra tacos for appetizers, while my main was fish and chips. I loved it.
Lots of space inside with plenty of TV’s. Service was good and fast. We ordered the wings, fried cheese and beet and avocado rolls. All were good except the avocado rolls had very little avocado in it. Pancho Villa Burger and Hangover burgers were tasty. Caesar salad had plenty of chicken in it. Bathrooms were clean. There is plenty of street parking nearby.
The Fried Pickles are fantastic. I'd five star just for those, cause I love fried pickles that much. But they had other stuff too! I know it's crazy. The Draft menu was solid and full of local options. I ended up with a beer from Epidemic in Concord. The food options were ample. I got the Cubano and it was quite tasty. The fries were just OK though, but the sandwich was great. My wife got the Tuna Salad and enjoyed it, though it may have had too many "crunchy" things for her. But not enough to be bad. The kid got the Summer salad and enjoyed it as well. Our waiter was nice and came by to check on us. The owner even swung by to check on us, so that was nice :)
This was my first time here, but it won't be my last. The Austin egg rolls are excellent! The smoked chicken was very good as well. I'm looking forward to trying their brisket when in season. I'm already looking forward to going here again.
Fish and Chips was overly breaded but the taste was good. The Chicken Sandy was also a bit tough and chewy. Otherwise the service was excellent.

Really enjoyed our visit. Our server was wonderful, yummy beer & blackened prawns were perfect!!
I LOVE Sidetrack! Absolutely love it. The food is good, the location Rocks, and the people are SO friendly. Literally, everyone that works there are the nicest people. You can tell it's a wonderful place to be employed because so many of the employees have been there for a long time and they seem genuinely happy. My favorite menu item is the Gina Piper turkey burger. So delish. She's pretty cool too! I highly recommend Sidetrack for a great dining experience. Try to Scoozie!
I have been to SideTrack many times, and I always have a great experience there. The service is excellent, they have a great team of people who are friendly, attentive and very responsive. Our waiter, Jesus was excellent! Every meal we have had has been delicious. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. They have seating inside and a couple of nice covered patios outside. I highly recommend Side Track for a great dining experience.
I have been to this restaurant several times and have truly enjoyed each experience. The staff and owner greeted my family and were extremely attentive each time. I have had ribs and smoked meat at some of the top restaurants and Sidetracks smoked meat is some of the best barbecue I have ever had. The ribs were smoked to perfection. I strongly recommend Sidetrack.
This place deserves a higher rating! The Birra soup was amazing, and the Scoozi was one of the best appetizers I have had in the past few years. The applewood bacon burger was also good, but I was stuffed by the time it came.. and always choose the Tater "todds" as they are always worth it. I cant wait to go back, and have been telling family and friends about this place.

Bartender was Pleasant. Ambiance is nice. I know their food is good cuz I've been there b4. However, I went rogue n got something i typically don't eat at any restaurant n wasn't satisfied with the flavor. That's not to say it was bad it just wasn't for my pallette.
Came on a Sunday for brunch. We knew going in the service might be a little slow due to the NCAA playoffs. We were right. Food was great though. Breakfast omelette was delicious.
We five picky gals from age 8 to 60+ had a wonderful and satisfying Saturday late lunch on the patio at Sidetrack. There was no wait & the service was good. We only ordered water or light drinks, but the appetizers were hearty and delicious: loaded tater todds, garlicky scoozzi bread, and perfectly cooked & flavored edamame. From a gluten-free burger to fish & chips to a kids' grilled cheese sammy, all the dishes were inviting and satisfying. I had had a craving for a big, decadent salad, and the Jumbo Shrimp Louie fit the bill. Speaking of the bill, it was medium-high as expected (about $32 per person), but it was special & so worth it! Will try to go back for dinner sometime.
The food and atmosphere is wonderful, every thing is clean, there is ample seating inside and out. Ive only eaten here twice and a good expierence both times. I think the most impressive thing is the owner came by our table on both visits to make sure we were satisfide with our expierence. He seems to care very much for his patrons! Keep up the good work!
I work in the Pleasanton area, and I have to say that after 3-4 great lunch meals (Aloha burger, Pancho Villa burger, Reuben sandwich, etc.) with friends & co-workers... I can honestly say that SideTrack Bar has become one of my favorite places to eat out. Staff is friendly and attentive. I can't wait for my next visit!
Stopped in for dinner at the peak of service on Friday night. We were seated immediately and despite the packed house service was very fast attentive, friendly and efficient. Tables inside are packed close together and the volume of noise was at modest roar at this busy time. The food was really pretty good, the portions were generous, and the presentation was wonderful.
I’ve been a couple of times. Once sat at the bar and the food and service was great. Then took friends in and had a delicious but a little pricey at $15 Bloody Mary and a burger with bacon which was a hit. We all ordered it! The service was poor. I’d like to give them a bit of a break cause we were sat outside and it was raining , however one member of the party waited way too long for a beer which wasn’t great as he was paying the bill! We will be back as it’s a family friendly casual place which we’ve been jonesing for round here.
No frills eatery in heart of Downtown Pleasanton. We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday during the Farmer's Market, which was interesting. We sat outside on the patio, my buddies had a couple of craft beers, and we ordered their Tater Todds (loaded tater tots) and their fried pickles as apps. Food was delicious, although the service left us a bit wanting. Otherwise, had a great experience here.
My spinach salad was excellent! (But my friend's reuben was, apparently, the worst he'd ever had.) Staff was friendly, cool vibe and ambience, I enjoyed our time there. I'll have to try a burger next!
The menu was full of options. Everybody commented that it was hard to choose. Truly something for everyone. I got the fried goat cheese and beet appetizer and it was heavenly. I also got the sesame crusted ahi that was perfect. The salad was huge like I almost couldn't finish a salad. If you can believe that. The service was incredible. I think the guy's name was Jesus. He was super attentive and helpful. They messed up two of four of our orders though. The vegetarian got an aloha Burger with no bacon and an impossible. Patty and I guess they missed the point and gave him bacon anyway??? And then there was another burger delivered to the table that was supposed to be just meat and American cheese. No toppings and it had a ton of toppings and the wrong kind of cheese so they ended up taking a back but they brought a new one right away. Our server was on top of it and the drinks were really good too actually. Most places seem to butcher a whiskey sour but they were excellent the bartendress did a great job! Would gladly go back but may have to warn the picky eaters!
Food is good and the prices are okay - maybe on the higher end. Our table was the second group sat for dinner and by the time we were able to give our order the restaurant was half full so there was a wait from the kitchen. Our waiter also seemed to be out of sight when needed to come by for soda refills or a second round from the bar even though we were sitting next to it. A lost opportunity for the bartender but oh well. May come back for lunch when there is a smaller crowd.
Super clean and nice inside. Nice compromise between a restaurant and neighborhood dive bar. Decent selection of food and drinks. Food was high quality and tasted great. Good options for kids and my son liked his chicken tenders. Servers were all high school aged kids but all super friendly, polite and were attentive. Id recommend for a family dinner or luch spot.
This place is always nice. The staff are attentive and friendly. I have been here a couple times for brunch and the scozzi is the best! Everything else my family and I have had was good but not amazing. I would avoid getting something plain like 2 eggs scrambled it's pretty basic you can make it at home. Definitely suggest getting something special you won't regret it.
Very nice place for brunch. I was very impressed with the menu, some very unique and daring offerings. I settled for the Vanilla French Toast topped with Ham and Gruyere! For such a wonderful sounding dish I was surprised that it lacked flavor. It just seemed a little flat. The rest of my party enjoyed their dishes. I'd return if I was ever in the area, to give it another try.
Good food, and a pretty varied menu. Great weekend brisket every other weekend in the fall. I wish there was better sound absorption inside so it wasn't quite so loud.
I ordered the hangover burger and the fries goat cheese and beets appetizer. I thought the hangover was good but nothing special and I would definitely order the goat cheese and beets appetizer again. I thought the restaurant was quiet and allowed for easy conversation, however, the service was not ideal. Our waters/drinks were not refilled, we weren't offered to go boxes, and the server was not knowledgeable about the sides. Additionally, they didn't let us know until after that a 20% tip was automatically added to any split check. I'd go again, but order to go.
Service was very friendly and accommodating. Outdoor seating was very pleasant, no sitting in a cramped plastic tent required. The indoor area was very dark though, I guess more of a bar vibe. The kentuky salad was tasty as well as nourishing. The chicken burger (schnitzel cutlet) apparently doesn't live up to its competitors, but tastes good enough. Dog friendly with relaxed vibe.
Food was great We had the fried goat cheese and crispy chicken sandwich with spicy Todd's.
New place in town. Parking was easy as I came at an off-hour. They have a good happy hour menu. The martini was good and so were the small plates. I will definitely be back to try more on the menu. The scoozi bread was amazing! I was a little annoyed they overcharged by 1$, but the server gave me back cash. I'll be back to try a full meal.

Ordered 1 beer it took awhile for the bartender to ask me for my order but other than that the place was nice, clean and they had TV's to watch the football game. Will try again.
Ordered the fried pickles after having them for the first time in Savanah a month ago and falling in love with them. Granted, I am comparing them to the original source, however, they fell very short. I also ordered the spinach salad which was very good but not exceptional. I wouldn't suggest this place, but I'm not opposed to going back and trying something different.
Food wasn't to bad. The ahi, was about as good as buying it Safeway. My cocktail had to go back because of the giant nasty dirt spot on the cup. The wife mentioned the waiter was tapping his foot while the wife was signing the check. She kind of felt like he was rushing her but was sure.
The food there is pretty good and I have enjoyed going but the waitress I had today on Friday June 21st 2024 was one of the worst waitresses I've had in a while who gave us attitude and then never came back to our table which is why they got a low service score and watching her walk around and not even coming back to our table affects the atmosphere as well which is why I gave it a low atmosphere rating.
Food was good!! service not great. People seated after us got their drinks before us. We didn't get out drinks till after we got our food. All we ordered were mimosas that should be the easiest drink to make. Will go back, the food was pretty good 👍
This could have been a four or even a five star place because the food was good. But, so many other small things got in the way and the accumulated missteps brought the rating down. In fact I think I might be generous at 3 star. First I really wanted a pastrami reuben sandwich which is on their lunch menu but because we were there and it was Sunday brunch they wouldn't make it for me. Next I ordered a cup of clam chowder. Good news the chowder was good - bad news, it was not got, just tepid. We also had trouble with service because the timing of the delivery of the chowder was really bad. They brought it to me and then within having taken just a couple of spoonfuls my pastrami hash that I ordered because I couldn't have the pastrami sandwich arrived. But that's okay, the soup was kind of cold anyway so I just went ahead and finished it and went on to the hash, which was good. I also had French fries which were excellent. They were crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. That's the good news bad news is I ran out of ketchup and I had a hell of a time trying to find somebody to get more. By now you get the jist - food's good but the service is sketchy at best and the fact that they're not flexible and can't accommodate a pastrami sandwich even though everything for the kitchen to make it was on hand, kind of irks me.
While we enjoyed the food, the service was really slow. It was as if they only had one waiter for the entire restaurant. It took 15 minutes to get a soda and about 25 to get a sandwich. There are a lot of other restaurants in the area I would choose over this one.
As a die hard fan I must say the Scoozzi bread is not the same :/ The bread was VERY undercooked, the filling didn't have much flavor and the tomatoes had either Old Bay or clove in it... It was extremely off puting. Nobody in my party cared for it and we all used to devour it at Girasole. Other food was good though!
Honestly, it was okay. Nothing spectacular. It’s a nice location with plenty of parking. The interior looks nice too. They have a nice patio area for outdoor dining. The food was pretty basic for a pub. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp and Crab Louie Salad. What I got was 3 tiny shrimp, some shredded crab like meat on top of 6 lettuce leaves, stacked on top of each other like a deck of cards. There was barely half an avocado and hard boiled egg. My mom got the Chicken Marsala. She said it tasted sour. We did get an appetizer, the Austin eggrolls. We weren’t impressed. The corn pieces in it were hard and gummy. Overall, I’m sure it’s a nice pub, but since neither of us drinks, we were there for the food. It wasn’t up to par. Average. We don’t plan on coming back, unless we decide to take up drinking.
This place has a great ambience, selection of drinks and service(really helpful and cheerful staff) but they got to do better food! The taste was somehow missing from food. The taco shells were hard as leather, the steak skewers had zero flavor and the chef was counting on the salsa on it to make a difference... I can go on and on. Food has to improve and hence the 3 stars. Otherwise great place to hangout.
Service was pretty good. No one offered to refill our waters but everyone was pleasant and offered recommendations on food. Started off pretty good with some fairly tasty appetizers. The steak skewers and skip's bread thingies were tasty though the bread was insanely garlicky. Wife got the tacos which she enjoyed and I got the cheese-steak sandwich. To be honest it was a little boring. Not bad but not especially flavorful. Might try this place for brunch next time. Some of those menu items sounded good. We'll see how that changes the review. Might just need to order the right thing.
People were very friendly The food was ok but, not great Our server Luis was very good to us. However, I would not eat there again. There are many other restaurants in Pleasanton to choose from
Overall food was decent, nothing spectacular. Pricing is pretty good for what you get. Staff was friendly when we arrived. Our server was nice and stayed on top of making sure everyone was good. I had the BBQ burger, wife had the salmon sandwhich, friends had a salad and BBQ burger as well. We shared avocado rolls, sweet potato fries, and tater tots. BBQ burgers were ok. Smaller patties and not a lot of shredded pork. Flavor was decent. Salmon wasn't too bad. Tad dry and a bit fishy but still decent. The side salad was basic but good with the provided dressing. The larger salad looked good and my friend said it was tasty. I think it had seared fish in it. Tator tots were ok, a bit overdone and hard. Flavor was average. Sweet potato fries were tasty. Avocado rolls were so-so. They lacked flavor and the deep fried shell was very soft, fairly off-putting.

First impression was not great. Service was very slow. Sat for 25 minutes before being greeted by server. Ordered two drinks that arrived 20 minutes later and only after we caught the server walking by. I'll go back again to try the food, but if the service doesn't improve, it may not around long.
Was totally bummed with my experience here. Service wasn't up to par... actually felt bad for the server as she seemed to be the only one for the entire restaurant. We had several different items on the menu and each one of them was marginal. The bun for the sandwich was so hard it could barley be eaten. The crab salad was lacking flavor and straight from the can. And the children's chicken strips were horrible... so thin that when they were fried it made the chicken stringy and dry. We also had a couple drinks but I was more than shocked when we got the bill and it was almost $100!
Was there to meet a friend and I’m not local there. The place looks nice and clean. It had strange chlorine smell from cleaning that was very strong to levels of off putting. We chose to sit outside. The beer selection was very main stream and not much of interesting stuff. The food had vegan label available, but very few options. Even the beyond burger was with something that made it not vegan. It didn’t advertise as vegan place and it is not. The service was nice, but very slow. It cool to give people time to make up their mind, but food usually arrives sooner. I started to wonder where’s the beer. It has its own parking lot.
We seemed to have found ourselves in this area more often then not. And we just discovered Sidetrack! Great spot for the warmer / hot days - to sit out enjoy a few drinks, walk about downtown. We ended up here on a cooler day and started with red wine to help warm us up. I was surprised at the limited / average wine selection. Being near Livermore, there are a ton of vineyards which have great wine, at the same prices. The menu is also a bit limited - mainly sandwiches. Grilled Salmon - was a bit dry (for my taste). I think I'm really used to having fresh fish, and can now see the difference between frozen vs fresh. It also have a slight fishy smell, but didn't taste fishy. Slightly off putting. The french fries though, really good! crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The Hangover Burger - don't really think it would cure a hangover. The fried egg (what makes the burger) is supposed to be runny, we got fully cooked and hard. Medium rare seemed to be cooked a minute too long - but was still juicy. Overall the burger lacked flavor - we ended up asking for their special sauce - which didn't really help either. In general, it's a good place for a quick meal, and maybe the appetizers. The menu did have good options for game day food - may go back to try these next time.

I wanted to like this restaurant, went there for lunch on Saturday. They weren’t very busy, the service was fine, but the food was just not good. The waitress highly recommended the cubano sandwich so I ordered it. The main meat was shredded pork and tasted like it was either old, or low quality, or both and it needed more sauce. After I tried it I ordered aioli to pour on in an attempt to drown out the taste of the meat. I also upgraded to garlic fries and all they did was throw a scoop of super strong garlic on top of the regular fries. My husband ordered a buffalo chicken pita and it wasn’t great either and needed more sauce. They tout the bread they use, and I would say the bread was pretty good, but that was the only thing that was. I hate to leave a bad review, but I was super disappointed by that lunch and I wish I would have gone someplace else. Sorry but I must be honest.
We made a visit on Saturday 11/02. The wife and I both ordered the Absolute Prawns and they were terrible, very dry with no flavor The wife ordered a Lemon Drop drink $15 and I ordered a Jack Daniels $9.50. The drinks were great but I thought way overpriced.
Absolutely Horrible Service – Never Again! This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. First off, we didn’t receive any utensils with our order. Then, although we ordered orange juice, it never arrived — and neither did our coffee. The servers disappeared entirely, and we had to wait quite a while before any food showed up. When breakfast finally did come, the portions were shockingly small for the price. We ordered the Brisket Breakfast Burrito and Amy’s Egg White Omelet. The burrito tasted okay, but again, way too small for $14. The omelet was below average and cost $19 — ridiculous! To make it worse, we were charged extra ($3+) for tater tots and a fruit basket without being told they were additional. And despite specifically asking for no meat, we found sausage in our eggs. Unacceptable. When the coffee finally arrived (much later), there was no sugar, even though we had clearly asked for it. With no staff around, I had to get up and walk inside just to grab some sugar myself. No one came by to ask if the food was okay or to offer us the bill. I had to flag someone down while they were serving others just to pay. To top it off, they included the orange juice (that we never received) on the bill. After pointing it out, they corrected it but didn’t even bother to apologize — and the juice was meant for my child! There was no option to leave feedback, so I’m leaving this review instead. I gave a 10% tip purely to make a statement about the poor service. Final thoughts: • Brisket burrito: decent taste, small portion. • Amy’s egg white omelet: underwhelming, overpriced. • Service: chaotic, unprofessional, and frustrating. Would I go back? No way. One star is generous.
I thought this place was gross. Number 1, with the patio seating there were a lot of dog owners. They didn’t do the best at controlling their dogs and a dog next to us kept coming over and licking us. Number 2, the servers would all stop and rub and pet the dogs and then handle food. I would guess since most of the servers were doing this on each trip out to the patio with a food delivery, I doubt they were washing their hands in between each trip and then handling food. I won’t go back. Pretty gross. I have half the mind to call some sort of health inspector.
