I had a wonderful experience dining here! The food was delicious, but what truly made the visit stand out was the service. Our server, Raegan, was absolutely amazing—attentive, and friendly. She made sure everything came out just right and checked in often without being intrusive. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel so welcomed and taken care of. Thank you, Raegan, for making our night extra enjoyable!

If you’re lucky enough to get Raegan as your server, you’re in for a treat! She’s professional, upbeat, and makes you feel like the only table in the room. Her energy and attention to detail really set her apart. Highly recommend asking for her!

We had the Breakfast Quesadilla, and it was pretty good. Loved the salsa, with just the right amount of heat and the green tomatillo sauce was spot on. The decor is nice and the atmosphere was very comfortable.

I had the BEST experience at Mi Cocina thanks to our my server, Raegan! She was so friendly, attentive, and made me feel taken care of from start to finish. She had great recommendations, kept my drink full, and checked on me at just the right times without ever feeling rushed. Her positive attitude really stood out and made my meal so enjoyable. Nice decor inside. Spread out, so it does not feel cramped. Good Mexican food choices. Nice date place. Food is consistently good. The Rico salad is exceptional, a very well rounded salad dish. The chips are crispy and salsa has a little heat.

Every Mi Cocina I've been to I have been impressed not only with the quality but consistency of the food, and the service. Each location looked slightly different but always had a similar atmosphere and well maintained and friendly staff. Ribeye Asada, Tacos Habana, and the Queso and all great choices but you probably can't go wrong with anything you choose to order.

Visited again while in the area. The waiter Hector was amazing, super attentive, and a pleasure to deal with. Food was a little off this time, seemed like it was lacking a bit of flavor. Overall still worth the trip, mambo taxis are awesome!

Can’t get enough of the authentic Chips and Salsa. These are real chips and fresh salsa. In addition to the excellent regular red salsa, you can opt for spicy Mocajete or get Serrano Limon to mix into the red salsa. There is a wide variety of good Mexican Food and the drinks are excellent! Mambo Limo and La llorona are my favorites. Really like the grilled Chilli Relleno and the premium steak fajitas. Several outstanding items. Prices are reasonable.

I came in and had Matthew as my server. You could tell this guy knew what he was doing right off the bat. Very funny and handsome young fella who was able to please my every need. Will be coming back soon, also very good shrimp tacos !!

Not the fake-polite kind of service, but the real deal — she caught every little thing we needed (extra salsa, fresh napkins, refills that never ran low) and handled it so smoothly we barely had to ask. It honestly felt like she actually cared how our night was going and wanted us to have a good time. Her warm and upbeat energy spread to the whole table. We stayed longer than we planned laughing more, relaxing more, and leaving in way better moods than when we came inside the restaurant. She has this special way of making everyone feel welcome and important, like you're not just another table. The food was good as always (those fresh chips and salsa really hit different), but honestly, we spent the whole drive home talking about how great Lizeth was. If you're heading to the Alliance location anytime soon, do yourself a favor and request Lizeth. She's one of those rare servers who turns a normal dinner into something you actually remember and want to come back for. I took my family to Mi Cocina for my Mother's Birthday. This restaurant, at this location, is her favorite. I called ahead of our arrival to make certain that they would have a table large enough for our 9 person party. As 4 of our party have disabilities, having accessible accommodations was paramount and mentioned when making a reservation. They happily hosted us with a very spacious table. My Mother's custom cake was given a space in their kitchen to keep it safe and chilled. The friendly, personable service from the staff, the excellent food, and the calm, family atmosphere gave us a night to remember. Our server, Jose O, was the quintessential and polite gentleman who went above and beyond to make this memorable. He even joyfully brought out our cake and, with much cheer, helped us sing 'Happy Birthday' to our Matriarch. Thank you, Jose O, for making this a very special evening for her. Our server, Melissa D., was exceptional—friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the cocktail and food menu. The food was excellent overall. The Chicken Fajita stood out for its tenderness and flavor. Ernie's Chicken with Poblano Cream was wonderfully soft, smooth, and savory. The Ceviche de Camarones, however, was average. As for cocktails, the Mambo #5 is a must-try! I will definitely visit again and recommend this place to friends.

Visiting during the week was peaceful but lax. Upon our arrival, we weren't greeted immediately, but that was soon remedied through Mi Cocina's customer service. We ordered two Ceviche de Camarones (Verde; and Pineapple and Jicama), #10 Two Pork Picoso Tamales, and the "Mi Cocina" Margarita. All of the food we ordered were good, but one of them takes first place—the Ceviche de Camarones (Pineapple and Jicama). This dish was packed with flavors and was filling. In comparison to the Verde, the Pineapple and Jicama one wins by a mile, so if you're torn between the two, definitely choose the Pineapple and Jicama. As for the #10 from the lunch menu, it was alright. There wasn't anything that truly stood out. Nothing was too special about the drink either. As for the customer service, it was a bit odd. We were initially greeted by a lady, but she never really came around to getting our orders, so another server served us. He, on the other hand, made sure we were taken care of which made the experience a lot better because the environment overall was a bit odd. Overall, I'm unsure if I'd visit this location again. It seemed quiet, but it was too relaxed and the food was just 'good'—it wasn't the same as before, and I've been here a couple of times (this was the first Mi Cocina location I've ever visited).

This was our first visit to Mi Cocina, and we had an average dining experience. The food was excellent; the hostess wasn’t overly friendly, but not rude, and our waitress was unorganized, but it was a pleasant experience all-in-all. We enjoyed our entrées. They immediately bring out complimentary chips and salsa. If you do not care for spicy food, be careful with their salsa. It runs on the hotter side from our dining experience. I couldn’t eat it because it was so spicy. My husband enjoyed it, but he did comment that it was a hotter salsa for him as well. And if you love a spicy salsa for your chips, this one is for you. For an appetizer, we tried their queso, the Queso Blanco and the Chili Con Queso. Both were fantastic. For my entrée, I had the Poblano Chicken Enchiladas, two chicken enchiladas with Poblano Crema served with refried beans and rice, which was fabulous. I did not have any complaints about that dish and enjoyed it. My husband ordered the Crispy Chicken “Enchiladas Verdes,” two chicken enchiladas topped with Salsa Verde y Crema served with refried beans and rice, which he enjoyed as well. I cannot give them a 5-Star review due to the customer service because it wasn’t 5-Star customer service from the hostess to the waitress and the atmosphere was a little cold to me, but the food was excellent. Not a terrible experience, but not an excellent one, either. Try them. Their food is delicious.

Our waitress Norma did a great job, went there because I saw the chicken poblano enchiladas….. they were ok, nothing to rave about, more a sour cream based sauce than a cheese base….. I can’t figure out why restaurants in Texas don’t have sweet tea, almost makes it non Texan hahaha…. Anyway chips and salsa was great, wife enjoyed her cheese enchiladas although something she ate has trace amounts of MSG of some form because she had a reaction to it. It’s a nice place but just not for us especially if she can’t eat it due to the MSG, I have a feeling it maybe in a seasoning used in the salsa.

I recently visited this Mi Cocina and had a pleasant experience overall. The food was decent, the customer service was attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was very clean and well-kept. The location also offers plenty of parking and is kid-friendly, which makes it convenient for families. A solid spot to stop by when you’re in the area.

Short version: Beautiful place, awkward start, very good food. Long Version: This visit was quite interesting. On Easter Sunday, just after noon, I expected this place to be packed. However, we were seated immediately and there were very few occupied tables. The building is very nicely done on the outside, and there is plenty of parking. Inside, it has a very elegant feel with stone and dark wood throuout and modern lighting fixtures. There is a beautiful bar set to the side with its own seating and even a semi-private area beyond it. I noticed a completely private room to the left of the entry which looks inviting for private lunch/dinner meetings. They have effectively used a lot of glass windows to create an uncongested feel. The thing that really struck me as a first impresssion is how we were seated and what happened next. Nothing. The entire restaurant is set up with completely blank tables, which creates a very uneasy feeling that we were there before they were open or ready for us. Not even a center piece or even salt and pepper. The Hostess placed a menus for the two of us and we just sat. It was very quiet and they did have music playing softly, but there was no real buzz or excitement. So, for 5 minutes we just sat. A lady did stop by and place a basket of chips and a couple small salsas and did say a polite 'hello'. Then, we continued to sit, without contact or even a napkin for 10 minutes. I only mention this because it was really uncomfotable. We saw a busser pass through and two waiters who pushed a few tables together for a 10 top family that was coming and ran food to the bar table. Still, just walking by and not even looking at us. Just odd. Finally, a waiter stopped and asked if we needed something to drink. He did not introduce himself which makes an odd situation even more odd. Yes, chips & salsa with no napkins, etc was awkward and making us thirsty. We ordered the queso with beef and sodas. Here is where it gets better. When he very quickly brought the queso he provided a utensil roll. At that time he asked about ordering. I asked for recommendations and he very estutely inquired about what I was looking for. He provided a primary and secondary recommdation. I asked about another item in comparison and he stuck with his primary as a choice, so that's what I ordered. Well done. The menu is extensive and diverse. Quite a few options. The food came out in a timely manner and both items we ordered were quite good and pleasantly suprising on portion size. Both of us could only eat about half. We had the Cocina Changa and the Pollo Moderno. We very much enjoyed the presentation and flavor or the food. The Moderno lets you create your own rolls with the pico/guac/ and the sauteed veggies or onion, mushroom and cabbage make for a fun and engaging experience and crafted to your own taste. The rice with the Moderno was delicious, too. The Changas (combo beef and chicken as our choice) were quite good and quite large. The chicken edged out the beef, I believe but both are quite good. When we werew done, the waiter brought a tray with to go containers so we didn't have to ask. Then, he took our items, packaged them for us in very nice folding boxes, added a bag of fresh chips and salsa container, and placed in a very nice to-go bag (impressive and classy). As a side note, the bathrooms were also very modern, well kept, and clean. The buzz only picked up slightly while we were there, but still remained very quiet. So even though I made some interesting observations because of the slightly odd experience, I will definetely return and recommend to others.

My family and I love coming here frequently, we always have amazing service and food. Unfortunately today we witnessed a ridiculous display of unprofessionalism. The man who hands out the chips and salsa took great advantage of a very nice couple, and throughout their meal continued to tell a very sad story about himself, to this couple. The waitress did come along and apologize for the inconvenience. They insisted on handing this man money. My husband and I were just very confused about this restaurants policy about “panhandling” considering I have watched them have to run off kids trying to sell candy.

Always love going to Mi Cocina for their food and drinks. This time the food was great and the mambos amazing like always but our server could have been a bit more friendly. Felt like I was rushed they handed me the check super fast without us asking so we just left. Overall experience was okay but have had better at other locations. Mambos are great though !

I want to first say, I had a wonderful time with my mom, the server Julio was great, food was great. However, when leaving I am in a scooter with one arm filled with drink and items, other hand on scooter to navigate it, my mom, a senior, her hands filled with drink and to go bag had to open the door while there were 3 hosts and possibly a manager at the front. As a previous food industry worker (including front of house and back of house) that is what gave this review 3 stars instead of 5. My mom who was in the restaurant business for 40+ years as a manager would have given a verbal warning to the hosts and if it happened again they would be fired. It’s common sense to help seniors and disabled people with doors. Just a thought.

I met a friend here for her birthday lunch. The restaurant was very slow and quiet so we expected prompt service. Our server was older gentleman that I have seen there several times and he was perfectly courteous. Under “soups“ they do not list them as a cup or a bowl. You either get a bowl or an entrée. I clarified with the server that the bowl would be the smallest of these because I did not want a large portion. When the food arrived, I felt the “bowl“ Was pretty large and was unable to finish it. Sure enough when the check arrived, I had been charged for the entrée – the larger version of this, even though I had clarified. He seemed confused and hesitant, but did correct the error. Nothing remarkable, lots of employees seated eating, but the visit went fine. The Mexican martini was made well.

Very long waits and no reservations. My fiancé drove there to put us on the list and the hostess told him 30 minutes. We were back within 15-20 and she gave us attitude. Luckily a different host …

Ordered two highest priced items on the menu. Decent presentation. Carne-asda and prime rib fajitas. I couldn't cut several pieces of the prime rib. The fajita seasoning on the same meat was more flavorful and tasty. Definitely not worth the money.

Service was very good. Very attentive and friendly. Staff was very well managed Food was something to be desired. Entrees lacked seasoning. I got the Deluxe 57 and everything tasted the same. Cheddar cheese is not my preference when having Mexican inspired food. Also the cheese was not even melted. Rice was very bland. We also got the shrimp fajitas and the shrimp were way over cooked and lacked flavor as well. Chips were okay but needed some salt. Salsa was nice and spicy but had way to much garlic. Overall food looked good but just needed flavor and better ingredients. For the food reasoning alone I would not recommend. Also very disappointed with no sweet tea. Dr.Pepper was very good though.

Food is great as always, but when we visited there on new years we asked if there was anything special they did for anniversary (was my dad and his wife's 1 year anniversary). They offered us a nice big piece of chocolate cake (there was no mention of cost or no cost). Then the bill comes and we were charged for it. We didn't know that there would be a charge (as mentioned they didn't say anything about it ahead of time) or even given us the opportunity to make that choice. But other than that, we enjoy our times at Mi Cocina.

First time eating here! Was not impressed with their food. For the price I feel the quality of their food and service was not up to par. Normally when I get Mexican food it comes out hot and tasty and for over $100.00 tip included I was not satisfied. Not a single plate was finished. The service was ok and she accommodated making sure we had our drinks filled. I personally wouldn’t recommend going here with how pricey the food is to the quality.

Restaurant with nice ambiance, bar is great too. But food was average at best , highly contradicting experience from all the reviews. May be it being weekday but still that doesn’t justify the food. Guacamole was straight out cut avocado nothing else , no salt no lime no cilantro, so requested the waiter for some salt which he never got us. The tacos de papa had some weird sauce and no other flavor, in the fajitas skillet it seemed just like onions and few mushrooms, do they know that there are other vegetables that exist too? Chicken was okay. Quality of food : 5 Taste and essence : 2 Presentation & Service : 5 Hospitality & Environment : 5 Price-value : 2 Cleanliness : 7 Red’s Final Rating : 4.34/10

The food is terrible. The fajitas in the quesadillas are super dry and the food taste is very bland. I regret eating there because it was a waste of a day's meal. I could have chosen a way better place. ☹️

What ever you do Do Not eat at this restaurant, the food is nasty the fajitas are so gross when they bring the fajitas out there on a COLD plate c and not sizzling at all and the waiters are rude as hell. By By mi casina this restaurant will not be there very long.

I was there yesterday for a family dinner on my nephew's birthday. It was horrible experience. It took an hour to get a table and another hour for a drink. To my shock, drink had two flies in it. When I told to my server, rather accepting the mistake, he was like I will get you replacement. At least show that it is mistake from your side. When he brought another drink, he was trying to explain me that it was a black salt particles not a fly. Luckily I clicked pictures for the flies in the drink and showed him. He was very unprofessional. Food was good though. But with flies experience, I doubt their quality measures. I am not going there again because what if before serving they just take out the fly and one would never know it was there in first place. Very disappointing experience.

I’m only giving a 1 star because you have to in order to leave a review I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone that’s of color me and my significant other sat and waited for 20+ minutes for service we watched the waitress sit and look at us and ignore us and when we got ready to leave she decided to come up to us I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone and did I mention the manager seen us sitting there and no they wasn’t busy so yeah even though this restaurant is located in my area I will be going to the one located in Southlake

This place has gone SOOOO downhill. I’ll go out of my way to go to Southlake from now on. $37 for ribeye fajitas for one with an $8 add on for cheese and sour cream? It’s one thing if it’s fantastic. But it was awful. So bland and flavorless… and we paid the $12 extra for ribeye. Really disappointed. No drinks. Split the meal. And our tab was still $65 😳

Place was not crowded, but everything took FOREVER! TWO HOURS from sitting down to leaving, for having to wait for things when the restaurant was EMPTY! The waitress took 10 to 15 minutes to bring drinks, bring chips, and then it was another 30 minutes before food came. She never bothered to check on the table, or refill anything, unless we asked, and then it took 5 to 10 minutes for that to happen. I can maybe understand why the place was empty if the service was this horrible, the food tasted off, and employees were just standing around. What a waste of time.

As a DoorDasher who is educated, an entrepreneur funding my dream while making ends meet, I’m constantly reminded how people can try to dehumanize what they don’t understand. The girls at Mi Cocina often staple the bags fifteen times right in front of you. Even when the stapler jams, they will stand there fixing it until it works just to add two more staples. It is not about safety. It feels like control. What makes it worse is that it seems selective. I notice certain drivers being treated this way more than others. Then they ask you to confirm the order with the receipt facing them, knowing that taking a picture of the receipt is part of confirming delivery. They know the process better than we do, yet choose to make it harder. It is the small, quiet ways they try to criminalize or diminish you while pretending to follow rules. I am counting the days until I no longer have to experience that kind of energy. One day I will sit on someone’s talk show and talk about these exact moments. The ones that tested my dignity while I was building something greater. I hope the general manager and/or hiring managers take the time to train their staff into women who understand professionalism and humanity. Teach them to treat every person with dignity and respect, no matter what the current attitude or trend toward DoorDash drivers may be. Thanks!
