The restaurant offered a great experience with a pleasant and visually appealing ambiance. While it wasn’t entirely calm, the atmosphere felt comfortable without being overly noisy. Our server, Melissa D., was exceptional—friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the cocktail and food menu. The food was excellent overall. The Chicken Fajita stood out for its tenderness and flavor. Ernie's Chicken with Poblano Cream was wonderfully soft, smooth, and savory. The Ceviche de Camarones, however, was average. As for cocktails, the Mambo #5 is a must-try! I will definitely visit again and recommend this place to friends.

Hands down best service!! Thank you Brenda, our server was kind, attentive & amazing! Our chips & salsa were so delicious!! Homemade chips that are crisp with all the flavors! My wife and I went for a date night. I got the deluxe 57 and I just didn't really think it was all that good. If I got again, I'm definitely gonna try a different dish. Other than that, the server was awesome! She was very attentive and took care of us very well.

Short version: Beautiful place, awkward start, very good food. Long Version: This visit was quite interesting. On Easter Sunday, just after noon, I expected this place to be packed. However, we were seated immediately and there were very few occupied tables. The building is very nicely done on the outside, and there is plenty of parking. Inside, it has a very elegant feel with stone and dark wood throuout and modern lighting fixtures. There is a beautiful bar set to the side with its own seating and even a semi-private area beyond it. I noticed a completely private room to the left of the entry which looks inviting for private lunch/dinner meetings. They have effectively used a lot of glass windows to create an uncongested feel. The thing that really struck me as a first impresssion is how we were seated and what happened next. Nothing. The entire restaurant is set up with completely blank tables, which creates a very uneasy feeling that we were there before they were open or ready for us. Not even a center piece or even salt and pepper. The Hostess placed a menus for the two of us and we just sat. It was very quiet and they did have music playing softly, but there was no real buzz or excitement. So, for 5 minutes we just sat. A lady did stop by and place a basket of chips and a couple small salsas and did say a polite 'hello'. Then, we continued to sit, without contact or even a napkin for 10 minutes. I only mention this because it was really uncomfotable. We saw a busser pass through and two waiters who pushed a few tables together for a 10 top family that was coming and ran food to the bar table. Still, just walking by and not even looking at us. Just odd. Finally, a waiter stopped and asked if we needed something to drink. He did not introduce himself which makes an odd situation even more odd. Yes, chips & salsa with no napkins, etc was awkward and making us thirsty. We ordered the queso with beef and sodas. Here is where it gets better. When he very quickly brought the queso he provided a utensil roll. At that time he asked about ordering. I asked for recommendations and he very estutely inquired about what I was looking for. He provided a primary and secondary recommdation. I asked about another item in comparison and he stuck with his primary as a choice, so that's what I ordered. Well done. The menu is extensive and diverse. Quite a few options. The food came out in a timely manner and both items we ordered were quite good and pleasantly suprising on portion size. Both of us could only eat about half. We had the Cocina Changa and the Pollo Moderno. We very much enjoyed the presentation and flavor or the food. The Moderno lets you create your own rolls with the pico/guac/ and the sauteed veggies or onion, mushroom and cabbage make for a fun and engaging experience and crafted to your own taste. The rice with the Moderno was delicious, too. The Changas (combo beef and chicken as our choice) were quite good and quite large. The chicken edged out the beef, I believe but both are quite good. When we werew done, the waiter brought a tray with to go containers so we didn't have to ask. Then, he took our items, packaged them for us in very nice folding boxes, added a bag of fresh chips and salsa container, and placed in a very nice to-go bag (impressive and classy). As a side note, the bathrooms were also very modern, well kept, and clean. The buzz only picked up slightly while we were there, but still remained very quiet. So even though I made some interesting observations because of the slightly odd experience, I will definetely return and recommend to others.

I met a friend here for her birthday lunch. The restaurant was very slow and quiet so we expected prompt service. Our server was older gentleman that I have seen there several times and he was perfectly courteous. Under “soups“ they do not list them as a cup or a bowl. You either get a bowl or an entrée. I clarified with the server that the bowl would be the smallest of these because I did not want a large portion. When the food arrived, I felt the “bowl“ Was pretty large and was unable to finish it. Sure enough when the check arrived, I had been charged for the entrée – the larger version of this, even though I had clarified. He seemed confused and hesitant, but did correct the error. Nothing remarkable, lots of employees seated eating, but the visit went fine. The Mexican martini was made well.

Food is great as always, but when we visited there on new years we asked if there was anything special they did for anniversary (was my dad and his wife's 1 year anniversary). They offered us a nice big piece of chocolate cake (there was no mention of cost or no cost). Then the bill comes and we were charged for it. We didn't know that there would be a charge (as mentioned they didn't say anything about it ahead of time) or even given us the opportunity to make that choice. But other than that, we enjoy our times at Mi Cocina.

First time eating here! Was not impressed with their food. For the price I feel the quality of their food and service was not up to par. Normally when I get Mexican food it comes out hot and tasty and for over $100.00 tip included I was not satisfied. Not a single plate was finished. The service was ok and she accommodated making sure we had our drinks filled. I personally wouldn’t recommend going here with how pricey the food is to the quality.

Restaurant with nice ambiance, bar is great too. But food was average at best , highly contradicting experience from all the reviews. May be it being weekday but still that doesn’t justify the food. Guacamole was straight out cut avocado nothing else , no salt no lime no cilantro, so requested the waiter for some salt which he never got us. The tacos de papa had some weird sauce and no other flavor, in the fajitas skillet it seemed just like onions and few mushrooms, do they know that there are other vegetables that exist too? As a DoorDasher who is educated, an entrepreneur funding my dream while making ends meet, I’m constantly reminded how people can try to dehumanize what they don’t understand. The girls at Mi Cocina often staple the bags fifteen times right in front of you. Even when the stapler jams, they will stand there fixing it until it works just to add two more staples. It is not about safety. It feels like control. What makes it worse is that it seems selective. I notice certain drivers being treated this way more than others. Then they ask you to confirm the order with the receipt facing them, knowing that taking a picture of the receipt is part of confirming delivery. They know the process better than we do, yet choose to make it harder. It is the small, quiet ways they try to criminalize or diminish you while pretending to follow rules. I am counting the days until I no longer have to experience that kind of energy. One day I will sit on someone’s talk show and talk about these exact moments. The ones that tested my dignity while I was building something greater. I hope the general manager and/or hiring managers take the time to train their staff into women who understand professionalism and humanity. Teach them to treat every person with dignity and respect, no matter what the current attitude or trend toward DoorDash drivers may be. Thanks!
