Just ate at the restaurant last night and had THE BEST burger that I've EVER HAD in my life!! The Bourbon Bacon Burger ROCKS!!! Update 2/4/20: How to RUIN a GREAT burger... Back in Oct or Nov, Denny's corporate changed the bun from a YUMMY cheddar bun to your standard sesame seed bun. Not only does it NOT taste as good, the bun gets really, REALLY soggy from the bourbon sauce, which I LOAD on the burger!! I wrote to Denny's corporate and got a response, basically saying that it was a corporate decision, so live with it. I haven't ordered or eaten 1 since, and I HAD BEEN ordering one at LEAST 1x per week because they were THAT good!! And BTW... the price stayed the same. It's not the restaurant's fault, it's corporate, but I kinda soured on the whole franchise because of corporate's useless response... maybe more people need to complain, I don't know. Disappointed...

Nice Surprise. I haven't been to a Denny's in probably more than 15 years. The one in Ramona was very very nice. I had a BLT and fries (crispy bacon and avacado) . Fries were perfect, crispy but not burnt. Veggies were all fresh. Staff was friendly and patient. We sat and talked on a Friday night for 3 hours, no one hurried us. I will visit this Denny's again. A plesant place to eat.

Denny’s always get a bad wrap but honestly, I enjoy myself every time I come. We mostly come for bfast but I like that they have a $2,$4,$6 menu so when I feel like being cheap and not taking the kids, I’ll let them come and order $4 meal. Lol. They have different seasonal pancake meals which is fun and the staff is nice.

Very clean, great tasting food, have always great service. The Sunday we went was very busy, but we didn't have to wait too long to get a table, our waiter did a phenomenal job in not only taking our orders, but checking in to see if we needed any refills

We went there before New year's eve. The service was very good. We saw all the staff working so hard and these guys so friendly. The food was very good. I think this is onr of the best Denny's restaurant we have visited. We live in San Diego, Ca.

My daughters birthday n she wanted to go to dennys..we had another apptmnt and they would b quicker. They were. Our male waitress was very efficient..not rushed n service was great. Very happy w order..just what we expected. Will go again for lunch.

Lunch for two consisted of a Cobb salad with beef on top and a Salmon plate. Two coffees. And a side of fries. $45 later we left fat, dumb and happy. Well, except for the $45 part of our visit. Overall the food and staff were good but the prices??!!

Always seated right away. Staff is always friendly and never had to wait long for food. Gave it 4 stars because it's your typical Denny's food. It's not bad at all, but not really set apart from other similar restaurants.

Easily the absolute best Denny's I have ever been to. I wasn't expecting much because, you know, its a Denny's, but I've been blown away by this one multiple times. The produce is fresher than most restaurants I've been to, the food is consistently cooked super well, and the service is extremely fast, like actually kind of scary how quickly they get the food out. The only Denny's that I would whole heartedly recommend, and I am not even from Ramona. 11/10, I would give it more stars if I could.

Stopped in after a stressful morning to grab a bite to eat and was met by the nicest staff. I was promptly seated and allowed to review the menu. Within minutes the waitress was there to take my order. Wow good food and friendly/fast service. Definitely 5 stars.

Dennys in Ramona has great customer service and the waitresses are attentive to the customers. I never had to ask for a refill on my drinks my food was made and delivered to me quickly and the orders were made right the 1st time. I recommend this restaurant as I believe anyone who eats at this restaurant will be 100% satisfied with the service.

After not going to a Denny's for a while because other locations had let themselves go I visited the Denny's in Ramona. I was pleasantly surprised. This location was busy and yet it was very clean. Service was prompt, courteous, and wonderful. We were given menus right away, had our drinks within a minute, placed our orders and food was out in a good amount of time during lunch on a Friday. The food was great! Denny's has not been this good in a while. At least the Denny's in Ramona is! Worth a visit.

07-01-20 We went on a Saturday afternoon. No crowds so easily able to socially distance. Booths between were blocked off. Tables space out. Utensils were delivered double wrapped with napkins when the food arrived. Paper menus used so there is no reuse allowed. There was a guy that disinfected the entire booth when a family left. Our waiter wore gloves and mask. It appeared like he was the only server so the service was great for him having to work all the tables. They still honored kids eat free Saturdays which I thought would not happen because of this time. But for the shear concept of them still honoring it and the waiter being outstanding, I left a large tip because they made out second dine out experience during this time amazing. I am so happy Ramona has a Denny's.

Access and parking was easy and plentiful. The parking lot was clean. Handicap parking is right next to the front door. At the time we entered, it was self seating. We were greeted within one minute of us seating. The restaurant was slow at the time, with approximately seven tables. The drink order was taken in a timely fashion and arrived immediately. The food was your typical Denny's fare, cooked to perfection. Server was friendly and the whole place has that small town attitude that is fading fast in this era of profit first chain restaurants. The banner outside says that the place is under new ownership. Although some of the reviews are critical, I would highly suggest that you try it again and would recommend them to any first timers.

By far the best Denny's food I've ever had. The roasted veggies were very well prepared albeit slightly overcooked, the soft roll with a garlic and butter crust was fantastic, and the country fried steak was perfect. Definitely will return.

Our Denny's in Ramona, even on the holiday is all about service, and seeing the food is up to one's expectation. This labor day weekend, when we went, the manager was in the kitchen working in every aspect to get the food right, & out to his customer's. Obviously they were short handed, staff wise, but all the food came out good, and in record time. One of the waiters is like having 3 working, he so efficient & fast! Thank you Ramona Denny's!

Had a great breakfast before dropping my son off at school. The waitress was amazing and the water and coffee stayed full. Nice atmosphere to have a quick chat with your kid(s) before they start their day.

This is probably one of the best run Denny's I've ever been to as it is family owned. Denny's has become one of my favorite go-to places for an excellent hamburger. Their breakfast prices are reasonable and if you order off the value menu you can feed a large family relatively inexpensively

I have always loved the dennys in Ramona. The customer service has been nothing but great and my food has always tasted delicious. My favorite plate there is the chicken and broccoli skillet. I absolutely love it. I also love their salads, always refreshing and quite a large size.

It's a Denny's, so don't expect miracles, but I was very pleasantly surprised by this place on a Friday night. It was very late, Denny's was pretty much all that was open in Ramona after roping, and the food was very tasty and a wide selection (I guess I haven't been to a Denny's in a while). And friendly service to top it all off.

Who doesn't love Denny's? Well, it has been a while since I felt that way... Until now! The new owners of Denny's have not only done a full re-vamp of the staff, but they have added a touch of paint, cleaned up alot of building and seem to be on top of customer service standards. Our dinning experience was perfect, our food was cooked perfect, and tasted delicious again! The previous owners cooks seemed to be cutting corners on the food quality and that's why we stopped going (my bacon tasted like a whole bottle of liquid smoke was poured on it! Yuck). But now, I'm LOVING the new owners; striving to uphold quality customer service in the food industry. How it should always be. We will definitely be going back all the time now!

Its Dennys. American diner fare. I liked my burger just fine. What sets this place apart is the waiter that is almost always working. Didn't catch hus name, but damn... he was flying solo and was able to wait on the 7 tables all by himself. I never had an empty glass and special requests were no big deal for him. I'd be back just for the great service.

It's Denny's! I've been stopping in for such a long time I have to say the people working there are the very best. The food is always good and the coffee is good. Eating outside was so much fun. The servers are super sweet and kind and give you refills right away. The food is top quality and the coloring had our kids entertained.

We went to the Ramona Denny's for a early dinner. I had the salmon and the person I was with had the steak salad. It was all delicious! Would not think this great food came from a Denny's restaurant. But ever time we eat there the food is great. I always thought Denny's was more of a seniors dinner, but the meal size is good and the seasoning is excellent. Very tasty. We also had the lava cake for dessert. That was wonderful. The manager there is friendly and very quick to wait on you. Been to the Denny's and none can compare to this one.

We go here for breakfast so often it's embarrassing. The food is almost always 100%, my typical order the All-American is a perfect array of breakfast items with creamy cheese eggs. My husband has been getting steak and eggs lately, which I wasn't sure about at first but it's actually pretty good haha. The staff is really friendly and its such a fun nostalgic experience to visit Denny's. I love it!

This is the second time my wife and I stopped at Denny's for the 55+ menu. I got the salmon and she got the steak with vegetables. A great discovery for myself is the the sauce in the bottle. to drink. I just get water and if I add a little bit of that sauce to it wow isn't it great?

Great experience. Everything came out just as we ordered it. We both ordered the build your own Grand Slam breakfast. I had two eggs over easy, hash browns, grits and English muffin and an extra side of turkey bacon which cost $1.29. My friend had two eggs over easy, bacon, grits sourdough toast with lots of butter. The waitress was pleasant and the manager was engaged. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. What else do you want from Denny's. I did everything right. The only thing I thought was weird was when I went to pee and I had to pay up front which I always hate doing there was asked me if I wanted to put a tip on it and the only thing amounts that they showed was at 18% and 20% there was no 15% so I ended up paying $4.19 for a tip I was planning on tipping $3.50 but it's okay the girl was perfect. The tip just jacked my bill up to $28 which I wasn't expecting. Otherwise I think we made a great choice picking Denny's in a town we had never been to. You can always depend on Denny's to deliver a great breakfast. We were hungry since we hadn't eaten since lunch time yesterday. Since we drove 6 hours from Phoenix to get to California yesterday, we didn't want to play around with a new restaurant that we didn't know if they would serve good food or not. You can always depend on Denny's having a good breakfast. So I returned to this Dennys on Mothers Day 3 days later and had another posotove experience. They even gave every mother a mother days balloon. Wow.

I went there last week and was greeted immediately, sat immediately, and then greeted by the server immediately. I ordered the loaded bacon and cheddar tots and the drink was a Coke with lemon. Tots came out quickly, were very hot and tasted amazing and fresh. Soda was fantastic as usual as well. Nice!!! I actually got a hot fudge sundae to boot! The bathroom was very clean and well stocked. Over all great experience.

Called at 7:30 it rang and rang and then they hung up on me and took the phone off the hook. Update - the service has much improved over the last 6 months and the hours seem to be regular now. Another update - whatever issues this store was having they seem to have got it worked out.

Whether to sate the appetites for breakfast or lunch time items, the menu is diverse; either half of dining area are generally clean; the service prompt and attentive. Facilities are straightforward and clean upon the time of my noting this. Costs befit that of the large portions supplied; I didn't feel I overpaid. Bottomless coffee also supply me some bias. :p Recommended stop for those leaving or entering Ramona with a nagging appetite.

They had multiple large parties happening at one time and all sitting very close together. If you were not with that party it was as if you were. I understand everyone is short staffed but we asked for a water when our food came out and our waitress brought it with our check after we were done eating, so my daughter didn't have anything to drink with her meal.

We arrived and were seated very promptly by a server to a table outdoors. (This is during Covid-19 and we had choice to be inside or out; we chose out) The server was prompt, checked on us a couple times for ordering (not pushy--big menus cause me to look at every item...twice). Throughout the time we were there, he also checked in politely. Food was good, cooked to order--asked for certain specifications (ie well done bacon). Ordered at brunch time. Both orders from 55+ menu. Had extras left over! Would suggest this restaurant to others. However, did not go inside or use facilities.

Travelers Review: We gave a concert in town and needed some late night food. Denny's is always a good option but unfortunately this location has had to change their hours and they close at 10pm now. The waiter was friendly but did remind us they closed at 10pm. We got out of there at 10:04pm (we didn't want to be rude by staying too much longer) with bellies full of good food. Thanks for taking care of us tonight!

Just have to say that in my opinion Denny's has some of the best pancakes around. Always hot and fluffy! Sure beats an order of toast with your eggs hands down.

It's okay. I must remember that just because it's on the menu doesn't mean that it will be done perfectly. I ordered waffles they were under done. Perhaps the waffle iron wasn't hot.

It's the only place in Ramona that is open 24 hours. Food is quickly served and staff are friendly. Received a free slice of cheesecake for my birthday. BEWARE: they do not honor any Denny coupons. None.

Don't try the online ordering. They don't get it sometimes for whatever reason, but the charge still goes through. Just call it in. Foods good.

Food was good and came out quickly and very hot. Service was very very sub-par. The people afterbus got seated before us. The waitress only came to our table to get the drink order, food order and drop off the food. Forgot to bring food out, we ran out of drinks with no refills and she didn't come back until we had the hostess go find her.

Being a senior I just wish more options were available on the menu. Food here is just ok nothing special for the prices they charge. But service is great and the restrooms are clean!

It was ok. I ordered a garden salad And paid a dollar to have a few slices of red onions. I have not been here in years. And it has changed. Menu is smaller, making it easier to choose, but was average. Oh well.

The food here is great. We usually do pickup online so I can’t really talk on the service but the bad thing about ordering online is finding things. You can’t find your order by putting in its exact name. You have to click on of the sections and hope to find it. You can’t even find French toast by searching up French toast(just a slice of French toast not the slam). I don’t even think it’s on the website either. Please make the website easier to use or at least actually be able to find your food in there.

Dennys use to be good and cheap now its cheap food that cost a ton. The chicken fried steak I had was tiny the hashbrowns were way undercooked and tiny serving. Actually went to another place maybe 30 mins after to get more food cuz I was still hungry.

I had a slam special with 2 scrambled eggs,sausage, and pancakes. The food was good, but the sausage was just warm. The server was outstanding and kept my coffee topped off. The dining room clean and had a good atmosphere.

Since the menu was updated for Summer 2025, the quality of the food seems to have gone down while the prices are up. I now get complaints from some members of my family with sensitive stomachs about not feeling well after eating. It not the cooking that seems to be the issue, it may be the preservatives Denny's uses. Otherwise, staff is always great and on top of stuff.

Was seated by a window which could not close. This made one half of the table very uncomfortable for me and my friend. Food was prepared promptly but items were left out such as my friends bacon and the mozzarella sauce for our cheese sticks. Seasonal fruit tasted unwashed. Waiter was nice enough and his serving was the best part of the meal.

Typical Denny's food. Manager is hard working and staff is very friendly and work well together. It's a good place to eat. Today 3/27/2022 things in this place have changed. The staff is not so attentive. I wonder if the management has changed.

Got a free breakfast meal for my Birthday. Went on Weekday Evening. Store was adequately staffed, minimal customers...I saw 2-3 .When I placed my order it was not mentioned that this would not be valid there(more to come) The server had minimal tables & was visibly (mentally) rushing to the next table before he completed my order(maybe he was new???) The food was poorly presented, 2 over easy eggs, 1 thin slice bacon, 1 standard breakfast sausage, the rest of the plate was empty...white... space...The 2 pancakes were on a separate plate, I am normally given the option if they should be on another plate or not, he said very little to me, nothing stood out about this meal upon presentation. The eggs were cooked correctly(at least) Upon check out I was informed that the free breakfast was not valid@that location, however, he would honor it because it's for my Birthday? I give the waitor a 1 for getting the order correct & timely & for the coffee refill that was not prompt at all, 1 for friendliness (1 simply because he wasn't mean) a 0 for being 'present' during the order, a 0 for follow up. I requested a coffee refill after 20-30 mins of him walking by several times yet not offering one or asking me if everything is ok... Parking not an issue. I will consider not going back. I'll save my money & utilize a local small business, they might care more about the customer experience & meal presentation. However, I did see a waitress waiting on another couple there she; was not rushing, offered upgrades, was friendly, & even laughing with the customers. That's the kind of experience I expect, free meal or not. Their word for 2023 HOSPITALITY!

Didn't really care for the ultimate omelet I ordered. The egg is separated from the insides! Not cooked within it 😕 and my hashbrowns were practically raw! Also this location doesn't honor discounts or promotions.

Vwry disappointed I couldn't use my Denny's Birthday coupon at this Dennys location.. this experience will make me not comeback. Food was great and service was great. Nothing wrong with that. Server guy was on point.

We were seated right away and coffee brought right away by manager. Waitress took our order when coffee brought. 45 minutes later the people next to us got their order after coming in about 15-20 minutes after us. We got ours, everything was cold. Left without eating or any apologies for poor service.

My family and I came today. A server saw us then asked the other employee if they were going to take that referring to us. The place was empty only like 2 tables. The server sat us down and brought our drinks then said the waiter would be coming an hour passed all the employees were laughing and talking sitting on the other side of the restaurant, no one took our order. We decided to leave since no one even cared that we were there. My child 11 month I brought him there for lunch. We wasted gas time and energy to get a horrible service.

Stopped in for dinner after a long day absolutely famished. It took 55 minutes to be served and my food was cold when it was finally received. I was offered no explanation for delay and met with indifference when I expressed my complaints. I don't know why you would bother asking about the dining experience if you don't actually care....

So, been here twice in the past week. The first time was for breakfast. The waitress forgot to put in our order. We waited a long time and the food was rushed and not prepared correctly. The second time was last night for dinner. Once again, waitress forgot to put in our order. We watched people walk in and get there food. The staff panicked and the waitress went into the back to prepare the food. She wasn't wearing a hat or hair net. Don't think she washed her hands and wasn't wearing gloves. The health department should investigate.

Don't use online to order delivery. They forgot toast on all 4 breakfasts combos. Called couldn't get hold of anyone or online. Food is good when all of it is provided.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Dennys in Ramona, CA on Christmas Day. We have visited this location many times and everytime we use our AARP discount. I was astonished that on Christmas Day, during the season of giving, the manager informed us that they do not accept AARP on Christmas day. He said it is the only day of tye year it is not accepted. He also said that the franchise owner specifically said to not accept it because "they need to make more money on Christmas Day." I was in shock!!!!! When looking at the patrons in the restaurant, many were senior citizens, and they too cannot receive their normal discount. This practice is just wrong and seemed shady coming from a company like Dennys. Accept it everyday except Christmas....wow.... and they don't even tell you till you pay. The manager even asked to not post this and not to mention their names. Manuel the server was great. Also, there was no signage of no discounts posted but I think because of what I told the manager they now have a sign or something that says no coupons or something like like. It was just such a shady and unethical experience.

Very disappointing. Got there at 9:30pm. I had to get my order to go as the waiter said he had to open the restaurant in the morning. As I was waiting for my order, the waiter gives an order of pancakes to a patron in a booth. I got very upset. While waiting for my order to go my brother saw a mouse go into the area where the food is prepared. From now on, my food is always ordered to go. No more dining at Denny's.

No stars! My son & I sat down, got our menus, ordered our milkshakes & water, figured out what we wanted & waited for service. We got our milkshakes in record time. They took our menus & never asked what we wanted to eat. 30 DAMN minutes we waited!!! They never came back to our table!!! I’ve had better service at a shutdown fuel station!!! I used to work in food service, extremely unacceptable behavior! My son & I both walked out!!! Go back to training class, you need it!!! We never even got our waters!!!

We make it a tradition to stop at this Dennys every year after visiting the pumpkin patch or camping at dos picos. I'm not sure if management changed. today's visit was not a pleasant one. It was not busy yet we barely saw our waiter. It was little things. typically, if pancakes are ordered, they're served with butter and syrup. We had to request it. we had to request our drinks refilled. It was ice tea with almost no ice. It leaves me wondering if he doesn't like the job or maybe was distracted. Either way, it was annoying. Also. if the machines you offer in store are not working correctly, remove them.

I was disappointed with my visit to Denny’s tonight. The food was okay, but the service really wasn’t great. It felt rushed and our server Isabelle R., wasn’t very polite, or attentive. First time here we just moved to the area. We went for 2 birthday breakfast they don't do free or discounted birthday our female server was very rude about it. My my daughters food came out properly but the waffle with berries I ordered came slathered in a disgusting amount of Carmel sauce I asked for it to be remade with no Carmel sauce and just berries. My table was close enough to the kitchen for me to hear our server talking disparagingly about me in Spanish thinking I did not understand what they were saying, she brought out the same waffle that were just reheated on the grill thinking I would not notice or understand what she told the cook todo with my food. Wil NOT be coming here again!
