Food portions are so small it's not worth going to eat here anymore. Two mix and match burritos for $9. I remember it was 2 for $6 and they would fill you up. Now it's like 5 bites and it's done(kids meal size). I used to really like del taco and always preferred it over taco bell. Taco bell is just a better deal now a days. Wish I lived near the original del taco in Barstow where the portions are still huge. Pretty sad. I don't recommend eating here. You might as well sit down at a authentic Mexican restaurant it will be more filling and flavorful and not to mention real Mexican food. These fast food joints are losing customers by the boat load due to shrinkflation. They will all soon go bankrupt as most already are.

ADIOS, SORRY TO SAY Get ready for some funky smelling meat, flavorless beans and odd tastes and odors coming from, of all things, the fountain drink machine. Their usually awesome crinkle-cut fries, tragically, were severely undercooked—truly unforgivable, no excuses allowed. The tiny street tacos, too, are highly un-recommended, to put it kindly, and, due to their sparseness would be a horrible value even if they didn't suck. Their basic crispy tacos were still passable, but for two bucks-fifty you'd expect a bit more flavor—you know, like back in the “good old days” (say, 2019). And it says a lot when a Mexican food chain's tastiest menu item is the cheeseburger! Surprisingly busy when we were there, and this was during the traditional down time between the lunch and dinner hours—so they must be doing something right, one would guess. We saw scant evidence of this on our visit, however. Hopefully, it was just an off-day for this eatery. But you'll excuse us if we won't be taking a chance again any time soon. In conclusion: For great Mexican food in Redding, your best bet is to ask a friend for recommendations—then get ready to roll the dice. This town ain't exactly a Mecca of quality ethnic cuisine, after all. Plus, these just-off-the-interstate places are always a bit iffy anyway, including the chains. AVOID

I visited this Del Taco and would give it two stars. The bathrooms were locked up tighter than a drum and, when I finally got access, they were disappointingly dirty. The dining room wasn’t any better—tables were sticky, and the floor had visible grime. The food was okay, standard Del Taco fare, nothing exceptional but not terrible either. Honestly, the state of the place probably has more to do with the rough area than the restaurant itself, but it still made for a less-than-pleasant experience.

We stopped here to put gas and use the restrooms. Restrooms could use some attendance. The food was just plain love that the tacos have lots of cheese. The restaurant itself looked a little dingy could use some cleaning for being white. It kind of look like a yellowish definitely need some cleaning. Customer service was pretty good. It was just two guys thereand they were handling it. They were doing the drive-through cashier cook running to open the restrooms for us.

It took quite a while to get our food. I saw that our food was done & it sat getting cold while they made fresh fries. I worked in fast food myself & if you do not have an item like fries, you wait a bit longer to make the rest of the order. Now I made a lot less & I feel if someone is making 20 dollars or more an hour. There should be a higher level of what is expected of them. You shouldn't just be a "high on" making 20+ an hour.

Never again. Only one person preparing food in the middle of the day!! Made an online order and still waiting 15 minutes later!! If you need the restroom staff must come to the restroom door and unlock it!! This restaurant needs to staff two more positions immediately!!

Del taco is one of our favorites.Unfortunately, the location in reading california really let us down. I ordered a chicken green burrito with the extra green sauce and had no green sauce. I ordered a combo burrito with extra cheese sour cream. The entire burrito was cold, our fries. We're we're dark and cooked in dirty grease. The worst experience at del taco we've ever had over here in a decades

Walked in after a long day at work at 8:45 I placed my order. The manager then tells the person working at the front counter tell them they have to take their food to go they can't eat it here. Apparently they wanted to close the lobby. They closed the lobby behind me at 8:50 pm. Yeah I probably won't come back here. Left without my order. Places like this don't get my business. This happened March 6th 2025. That manager should be fired. This is NOT how you treat your customers.

Purchases to large meals and this is what both fries came to be. I didn’t realize until I got home that the amount of fries was so small. I even ordered the Epic Burrito and normally it’s huge. This time it was the size of a small bean burrito. I get shrinkflation but this will surely will lose my business. If I’m gonna pay $35 for 2 large meals, I want it to be what I pay for. And if it’s employee laziness, you’re getting paid $20 per hour or more. Come on guys!!
