I’ve never left a Google review before, but since I’m moving out of Ridgewood and will no longer be a regular patron of Joe and John’s, I feel compelled to share how much I love this establishment. I am a lifelong New Yorker and can easily say that J and J’s has the best grandma slice I have ever tasted. The crust and sauce are perfect. Every specialty slice I’ve had here is amazing. Plus the guys that work here are the best. Super nice people who care about making great pizza and providing outstanding service.
My husband and I have been coming here for years. Joe’s and John’s has the best pizza in town. I love pizza and this place makes the best pizza. They also have the best wings! I needed to cater for my holiday party. Joe’s and John came through. My co-workers raved about the food and the selection. Everything was fresh and they said flavorful. One lady said authentic Italian food! Thank you Sal and the whole staff for making my office holiday party a huge success.
Absolutely fantastic! Amazing selection of pizzas and slices, always served fresh. 100% recommend! Excellent service as well.
They’ve been around for a long time. Really good pizza. (Have never been disappointed) Very nice owner and staff. Cool vibe. This place has been renovated, now more spacious. All around good service and food. Definitely try it out.
Best pizzeria in this neighborhood by a long shot. The pizza is amazing, but don’t forget to check out the rest of the menu. The Italian sandwich on their fresh bread is perfect for lunch. Joe and John’s deserves to be on the “Best of Queens” list.
I will never be able to say enough positive things about Joe and John’s! I love their pizza- the flavor is insane and so good every time.
Good pizza, lots of options, the only thing is that, their pizza it’s so good that this place is always busy, but they wait is worthy. (Parking difficult to find). Note: the best in my opinion it’s the Grilled Chicken Pizza.
Was invited to attend a Birthday party at Joe and John's and the food was amazing! We had salad, chicken parm and penne a la vodka. We also tried a pepperoni slice as well as an espresso and cookie. Great attention to the party while also servicing their regular customers!
I always love a good tasting Italian pizza. it was rich in flavor. The crust was thin but delicious... We had James who greeted us and ensure we had the best experience....
We ordered 1/2 trays of chicken bruschetta, vodka sauce, eggplant parm., rigatoni siciliano, and mixed green salad. My wife and I had gone there to eat before and we were very impressed. We have tried their pizza and I also had their linguini and white clam sauce. Everything was outanding. The food was delivered on time and was red hot. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and helpful. 5 stars is not enough!
On lunch while working construction. The owner Sal has an old-school Italian respectful demeanor and the pizza was one of if not the best upside down slice I’ve had. Beats the hell out of all LI pizzerias. The place is clean, food is delicious and management and employees are great.
Pizza is excellent! Their pizza isn't as heavy as most and the specialty pies/slices are some of the best! Their best slice: Upside down Sicilian (Pretty in-line with L&B)
I love coming here. Everything I’ve gotten from here is so good. You can’t go wrong with the pasta or slices from here. Everyone is so friendly too.
I ordered ahead online for a gluten free pizza. They gave me a reusable plastic cutter with my pizza to guard from cross contamination since it's an allergy, not a preference. I appreciate that kind of thinking so so much. I would highly recommend coming here for your pizza, by the slice or by the box. (Although I think the Gluten free pizza is only by the box?) The pizza was out pretty quickly too. I ordered it while I was walking towards it and I waited at a table for only a couple more minutes and it was ready. I'm very impressed and would return!
Listen, If I could give 10stars to this establishment I would! Everything from the pizza to the pasta are Great. We are never disappointed. We just ordered the Baked lasagna and were blown away by the taste! These guys are serious about creating really great food! Love this place!! You guys rock!! Sean - Maspeth
I can't be happier enough every time I got a slice from this location! They're always so good!
Fantastic food. Pizza is always yummy. Love the penne a la vodka, caesar salad and spinach role. Can’t go with anything on the menu.
Pizza pin wheel was so good! And the worker Justess is an amazing employee! Very kind and attentive!
The best around. I used to be a plain cheese slice person for years, but Joe & John’s has opened my eyes to other possibilities. If I were you, I’d order the sausage and pepper slice, spinach artichoke slice, rice ball and salad with zesty lemon dressing.
It is May 14th and I’m still sitting at my table as I write this on what could be my 100th visit to Joe and John’s. They are, in my opinion, the best a pizzeria can achieve. Newly remodeled, the space reflects the attention to detail in their offerings. What cemented my love for Joe and John’s was their deflection from American standards like a meat lover’s for inventive recontextualizations of classic Italian dishes like Cacio e Pepe, or Bruschetta with Straciatella (while still retaining enough NY pizza shop meta mainstays like pepperoni and bbq chicken). The reason I’m writing this though is that on May 14th I had the best slice of pizza in my life. I just got a basic Sicilian corner slice, it was 12:33 PM, a rainy day, and I can’t tell if Joe and John’s is just divinely chosen to serve the most universal, omnisatisfactory pizza on earth. I think yes, or the dew point was perfect for the dough, maybe I’ll never know but as for the last 2 years, I’ll always be back. Thank you Sal & James, love you Joe and also John.
Really appreciate the tasty pizzas, menu variety and admirable service !
Top notch!!!! I'm super happy to know how the pizzeria has grown and mastered their menu to bring our community fresh and delicious food. The prices, pizza(my fav Hawaiian), salads (house salda with extra pepperonccini) and sandwiches(Italian of course) are fantastic. High quality ingredients, friendly service, they keep the restaurant clean and organized. Once again thank you for your services, for caring about the residents and maintaining a level of humbleness. They started small, now they have expanded beautifully. I'm proud of you guys, the new employees are amazing too. Keep up the great service.
I came once, before writing a review was possible. I ordered a Sicilian slice and it was delish! First time for me, too! I remember seeing some old gentlemen serving and behind the counter before. Nice people. I went a few days ago, and ordered a pepperoni and sausage Sicilian, and a regular pie. Let me tell you....delicious! And the good thing, was the slice are thin, not much flour, but bursting in flavor!. The young blonde man, was nice and patient, and the young man in the counter was cool, as well. I ate my pizza in peace with no bother at all. I would definitely return!
Top notch restaurant! This wasn't on our radar, and we happened upon it because it was close to the bank. Lucky us! You walk through the front door and can smell the goodness cooking. The service was great, and we were greeted by everyone we made eye contact with. Very friendly staff. The place was well lit and clean and had big tvs to watch football. I had the baked ziti, and she had penne with vodka sauce. Both were rich and flavorful. They made an excellent dinner and lunch the next day. I also had a bowl of pasta fagioli that was simple and satisfying. I will definitely return for another delicious and affordable meal.
I found this spot by accident. We were literally eating Thai Food about a block away & this pizzeria caught our eye. It had NYCs favorite turtles painted outside. So, we had to check them out! Even though we just had Thai food! Decor: Outside is totally awesome. Interior not as awesome but clean & you get the typical pizzeria vibes. Nice and clean. Staff: super polite. Smiling. Greets you as you wait. Food: Pizzas looked amazing. Sadly, one that I saw from a photo was finished & it was near closing so - I’ll be back for it! We had a pepperoni square, vodka slice, and sausage and rabe. They were all super yummy. The vodka sauce was delicious! The pepperoni square was great. Loved the crunch on the pepperoni. The sausage slice was good but the rabe was bitter. Not their fault. Price: standard pizza joint prices We definitely will be back to try their other slices. Parking is rough around here.
Easily my favorite pizza place in NYC- and I've been here for 14 years!. I've been to some of the legendary pizza spots... If I had to choose where to get pizza from in the entire city, there are about 5 places I enjoy enough to go more than once, and this might be 1st place! Bonus points for many vegetarian options, friendly ownership, and a really nice atmosphere inside. (Personal opinion- their square slices are what really beat out the competition!)
Before they started describing their pizzas I had decided on getting a margherita. After they talked about some of them I added a spicy sausage. Best pizza I've had in New York for sure during my visit. Wish I had time for more of this pizza. Didn't take any pics of the food, these guys made the visit the best.
We are eating right now and the pizza is fresh and delicious. The beAll yhe guys here are womderful, friendly and kind. When we come they treat us better than family. The pastas and pizzas a re excellent. This is a must for the best pizza in NYC. The chocolate cheesecake was deliciois..You are greeted with smikes and kids sre treated like gold. My son received gifts for just being there. He told the staff it was the Greatest pizza he tasted. Come and by and enjoy.
Owner and staff are some of the best people in town. Making you feel at home. Food was to everyone's liking. Was here for dinner with a group of lovely friends. Had a great time. Will be returning when in town.
Excellent neighborhood spot, their pies & slices are high quality and delicious every time. Best in the neighborhood for sure 🔥
Let me tell you about Joe & Johns…This has to be some of the best damn pizza/pasta I’ve ever eaten and I promise you I’m a connoisseur of both and that statement does not come easily! After visiting New York I was told that this was a spot I absolutely couldn’t miss and boy was that true. From the staff greeting you when you enter and helping you choose the right dish for you, to the overall welcoming environment, I had to stop myself from going back twice in one day! Long story short, this is one of the best restaurants in NY and I look forward to returning!
Really good pizza and service ,many options of different slices. always stop buy for a slice when I'm in the area. real new yorker review who visited hundreds (202) to be exact of pizzeria's in nyc and joe & John's is quality pizza everytime
The pizza I had here was phenomenal…I have not eaten great Italian pizza in a very long time. Mr James was so polite and so amazing. And as a courtesy he gave the children their home made chocolate chip cookies which is to die for. Mr. James thank you for our wonderful experience..
The best cheese slice in Ridgewood. Classic New York slice, paired with excellent service. They make you feel valued. Prices are also reasonable. Pepperoni slice is great, too. The mozzarella sticks are nice and crispy with the right amount of cheese, without being too greasy. This place is a gem.
Great place for quick Italian food or pizza! Warm and friendly atmosphere and prices are great!!!!
Best pizza in Ridgewood! You’ll never go wrong with anything here! I love their Grandma Slice, Vodka, Sausage and Broccoli Rabe, Cheese Slice and Upside down Sicilian. Chicken wings and Fried Ravioli are great as well and they make really good salads and pasta dishes as well. Nice guys and staff as well!
Absolutely the best pizzeria around! The pizza is incredibly tasty, with perfectly crunchy and delicious slices. The recent renovation has taken the place to a whole new level, and the crew is hands down the best in town. Don't wait any longer – missing out on this amazing experience would be a mistake. Stop by right away and treat yourself!
My firm in the Empire State Building absolutely loves the food from Joe & John’s for our weekly lunches. My employees are especially impressed by the variety of options they offer. The chicken frances, penne allá vodka, and shrimp scampi are some of their favorites. This is the second time we order from them, the delivery is always seamless, and they’re generous with their portions. I would recommend them for any office catering needs!
The upside down corner slice is probably the best crispy , flavorful slice I ever had in nyc. I’ve been here 41 years and joes and John’s saves me a trip from going to manhattan . With an orange pop soda to wash it down. The caramelized onion and vodka slice are equally amazing . There is definitely something in the sauce lol I came back 3 days in a row . Great place for pizza connoisseurs to congregate
Everyone is nice, the shop is run efficiently which is always a plus for busy people. Any pizza you get is fantastic! The sit down restaurant area is nice and also has a semi romantic atmosphere with several TVs showing sports games, which for my husband and me is a huge plus.
If you're in the area and want some amazing food, don't think twice and stop here. The new seating area is very elegant and the food is just absolutely delicious. I will say I liked the Sicilian pizza more the the regular slice but that's my opinion. The service was also really superb, very friendly. Everytime I come to New York from Florida it's a must stop.
Hands down one of the best pizza places in NYC. The vodka sauce pizza and the grandma are delicious. I think this places is very close in quality to L’Industry (if not better maybe). The place is amazing. You can eat your pizza inside and there is space and nice seating. The staff is super friendly and are open to give you recommendations. This is definitely a 5 stars pizza place.
I usually don’t write reviews, but this place was absolutely amazing. I ordered catering—chicken parmesan with eggplant and penne vodka—and everything was incredibly delicious. On top of that, the staff was dedicated and polite, which made the experience even better. I honestly can’t say enough good things. 100% recommended!
whoever was working tonight (super bowl sunday) deserves a raise! not only did she help me multiple times regarding an issue with my order, she took care of it in the midst of what i can only assume was an insanely busy night--suberbowl sunday with insane cold outside. she was super kind, empathetic, and professional, and she made sure i got my food and was well taken care of. Joe and Johns forever! thank you so much!
i love their pizza. great quality and fun signature pie/slice options, like chicken caesar pizza. super nice and attentive staff. J&J forever 🍕❤️
John & Joe Pizzeria is hands down one of the best pizza spots around. From the moment my family and I walked in, we were treated like family. Jakob, Stro, Eli, and Kaylee were all incredible so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and you can really feel the family like atmosphere they create. And the pizza? Absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can tell a lot of love goes into the food and the service. We’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend! 🍕❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I came here with my wife and my daughter, and the experience was truly wonderful. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with kindness, respect, and genuine care. The service went above and beyond—very polite, welcoming, and attentive, which made our family feel comfortable and appreciated. A special shout-out to a gentleman named Jacob, who was absolutely amazing, along with the rest of the staff who also helped us. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for a family outing. This pizzeria definitely deserves a five-star review, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great service and a place that truly makes people happy. 🍕✨
Absolutely the best! My kids love J&J — not just for the pizza, but the wings and lemon chicken are a huge hit too. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and clearly made with care. What really sets this place apart is the people and the vibe. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel right at home. On top of that, the restaurant is always spotless, which is so important to me and really shows how much pride they take in their space. Truly the best of the best — we keep coming back and highly recommend it!!
Went here for a quick bite and was surprised to find incredibly delicious pizza and a great variety to choose from. After tasting their pizza, we decided to order 10 pies on the spot to take to a party we were headed to. Everyone was raving about it all. The Grandma and Hawaiian were a hit! Thanks not only for the great pizza but fulfiing a last minute large order promptly and without hesitation!
Love the renovations! Super cute inside. They have a cafe area on one side with coffee & a bar, with a pizza counter on the other. Pizza is delicious! Lots of fun slice options :)
Ordered yesterday from Joe and Johns for a family party. Delivery time was exactly as requested and came piping hot even though delivery was from Ridgewood to Forest Hills. Cesar’s salad, penne ala vodka and chicken parm were all outstanding. Great food and customer service.
OMG I had a catering order for 20 people made. Chicken Francese, penne alla vodka, eggplant rolatini, small riceballs (50 pcs) salad. Food absolutely delish and enough that everyone ate and had enough that could be sent home with my guests. Everything just sooooo delish. Thank you Sal and staff for a job well done! It’s why we LOVE Joe and John’s. A neighborhood gem❤️
Best gluten free pizza in the area!! Crust is thin and flavorful, not like a typical cardboard tasting GF pizza. This probably one of the largest GF pizzas I’ve had- more of a medium size and less of a tiny personal. I ordered online and chose chicken, tomato, & eggplant as the toppings; the staff called and informed me they were going to cook the chicken and eggplant from scratch for me so there was no breading. I thought this was so kind of them! They could’ve made me reorder, I really appreciated this attention to detail. The pizza also comes uncut with its own pizza cutter to avoid cross contamination!
First time eating here. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. It was delicious! The restaurant is clean and has a really nice ambiance. Definitely a great staple to the neighborhood. If you want great pizza in Ridgewood, come here. I hope Joe & John's Pizzeria stays around for a long time. I will be back again soon.
Joe & John's Pizzeria is hands down one of the best pizza spots around. The crust is perfectly crispy yet chewy, the sauce has that authentic tangy flavor, and the cheese is always melted to perfection. Their specialty pies are creative and packed with flavor—definitely try the buffalo chicken! The staff is friendly and the service is quick, even during peak hours. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place for both families and casual hangouts. If you're a pizza lover, Joe & John's is a must-visit. You won’t be disappointed.
I love this pizzeria because the dough always feels very soft and fresh and you can just tell that they use high quality mozzarella cheese for the pizza, the mozzarella sticks were very stretchy and delicious. The staff is just lovely, the girl working the register is very sweet and always smiling. The guy who make pizza are very courteous and kind, allowed my picky kid to get his way, which almost never happens. Thank you.
Good pizza, but there are better pizzas around. I would only come here for their specialty pizzas and pastas as ingredients are fresh. And price is a little steep, but they are popular so I get it.
People say how great Mano’s is. Well I say hell no to that. This place has the best pizza in the Ridge. Also service is friendly and it really nice. Something other newer places in Ridgewood should pay attention too. They open on time and they deliver fast also. Also starting to notice more people are in and out leaving with a few pies. Goes to show you I am not the only ones
Decent prices when you consider the portion sizes.
Great place for a quick light. A family gathering a sports light. Don't forget great pizza. Oh could have drinks too
Est. 1968 Layout/atmosphere *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles painted separately on outside facade; couple of tables inside; tables on sidewalk (if eating outside, order “to stay” or “for here”) Food/drink *Regular slice - Good; thin crust even for New York pizza; noticeable flop (definitely have to fold to eat without making a mess); cheesy/light on tomato sauce; little greasy *Vodka square slice - OK; nothing definable about the vodka sauce; little greasy
It's been many years since I've been to this spot. Loved the renovation, but miss the old school pizzeria vibe it used to have. The service is phenomenal. Felt so welcomed and I wasn't rushed to pick what I wanted. I had a sausage and pepper Sicilian slice and a mushroom and onion slice. Crust was good but toppings on the sausage pizza slice were too much and the mushroom and onion pizza slice was oily and too many onions. Cost of these 2 slices and a bottle of dr pepper was just over $15. Pretty overpriced in my opinion.
Got vodka and mushroom square pizza. Vodka was too cheesy and barely tasted like vodka sauce. Not impressed with that slice. However, the mushroom and carmelized onions pizza was enjoyable. 7/10 will return to try a pie rather than slices. Service was excellent and staff are nice.
One of the best in the area It's a pizza place with really good upside downs. Great staff who seem to want to help you. It is a basic pizza place inside made nicer from years past. I won't say that caused the prices to keep climbing here but. Soon no matter the taste we'll be going somewhere else.
Decent experience. -staff was really friendly and kind. -prices are reasonable, you get what you pay for. - Something positive that highlighted the most is how staff tried their best to keep surface nice and clean as each customer left a table. - Overall the food was really good and tasty. - Would give 5 starts but I ordered a 18”Margherita, and if it wasn’t that I found a hair on a slice of pizza I would’ve had a more pleasant experience. (Would go again)
I really do enjoy their food. I ordered two small pies and a chicken parm. And I could honestly say their pizza tastes amazing and so does their chicken parm. But the only reason I give them 3 stars is mainly because of their delivery. I order from here quite a few times (at least a handful in the past year or so I’ve lived here) and each and every time I get disappointed by the delivery. I live 1.2 miles away from the place legit a 7-10 minute drive. Each time the food is cold. I wouldn’t feel so disappointment if it was hot because then I could completely understand the long wait time because the obvious answer would’ve been that they were really backed up and busy. Who knows maybe they need more delivery drivers but if that’s the case please get more or try to assess the timing of when the food is made this way at least the food would be hot when it gets delivered. Especially because you’re paying premium basically for cold food. But like a mentioned before the food is delicious their delivery is where they are extremely lacking in.
Been going to Joe and John's since I was a baby. Grew up there in the 80s. The famous sauce has always been spot on. ALWAYS went in and got the upside down slice which we always ordered as a sicilian. For the first time in my life i went in and ordered also a chicken slice. Almost 6 dollars for the sicilian that doeant taste the same and 7 for a chicken slice that was horrible and horrible attitude there. Not the place i spent 45 years of my life going. No more. Corato's from now on.
I used to eat here when I lived in the area. I just revisited this pizzaria two weeks ago and was disappointed. While the restaurant was enlarged and remodeled, the pizza was not as good. They did a great job on the decor, but I found the pizza very oily. The sauce lacked flavor. I was disappointed.
The food is great and the customer service good, however they don’t know how to preserve customer relationships. They ripped me off and wasted my time. They didn’t give me what I asked for and so apologized for the miscommunication on their part. But did they give me the missing slice for free (customer from before they were a full kitchen, even before the Ninja turtles in the window) no. They charged me for my missing slice. More miscommunication on their part bro. Nice restaurant, crappy core values I guess.
Today was the 3rd time we ordered from Joe & johns that they haven't been able to deliver the entire order on the first try always missing something. So of course I called back and was told missing food would be sent out " right away" . 50 mins later I received the missing food, 2 plain slices of pizza! Took 50 minutes to be redelivered, and they were cold. At least the second delivery person apologized for the inferior service explaining they are very busy. However as I said earlier this was the 3rd time.
I know that the remodeling was nice and place is much bigger and putting so much into the place but the quality of the pizza definitely has been a drastic change. Also, ordered the garlic knot chicken sandwich I don't suffer from acid reflux but that messed me up pretty bad, never again plus some thin sliced chicken cutlet that was honestly so sad more bread crumbs than chicken.Service and customer service great per usual but definitely pizza quality has changed. Also, got really cheap with the pepperonis on the slices man.
good vibes inside but the pizza is soooo mid. Super thin sauce find super greasy. regularly burnt.
I always enjoyed the food but PLEASE fix your delivery system. use Uber Eats drivers instead of only having one personal driver- who has to make 100 stops at once. My pizza arrived ice cold, over 2 hours late and I live just 12 MINUTES away. i got food poisoning from the salad because who knows how long it sat out. this was my favorite pizza place but i don’t understand why the delivery system is so greedy. it’s not worth giving your loyal customers cold, hard pizza.
I had just one vodka slice and it came out to $6.24. when I got the slice after 5-6 minutes, the pizza was kinda warm at best. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a quick bite to eat
This place is overrated, the vodka sauce is definitely not made for order the pizza was so stale it was like chewing cardboard and their vodka panini was just ok also their delivery guy refused to come to the third floor and told me "papi come downstairs no parrkiing"
I ordered directly to the restaurant and I specifically said that I need the driver to come up because I have a baby with me. The driver called and argued with me stating that he couldn't come up because he had other deliveries to drop off. The shrimp scampi was scattered all over and the aluminum plate was crushed, and the house salad was completely destroyed. I called to see if i could get a new salad but they refused to send one. I end up throwing the salad out, it looked so gross.
Go to rosa’s pizzeria on fresh pond road. Tried this place for the first time today because it’s close to my house. Never again! Pricy and the quality was terrible. Barely any meat on the pizza for the price.
Horrible.. stay away! Rude staff. Pizza sits out for a while and they pack that up and send it to you after slightly warming it up. This is not the way to do business. Extremely pricey as well. Do better!
Waited over two hours for my order, called to check on status and the restaurants phone line was closed “due to all lines being busy” Had to eventually get the order cancelled. Don’t waste your money here.
Horrible service and extremely rude behavior. I placed an order and called three times to confirm a specific delivery time because it was for a pre-K class. The order arrived 20 minutes late, and when I addressed it, the owner responded, “Oh well, there’s a 20-minute window—the kids will survive.” There was no apology or accountability, and the lack of basic business ethics was very disappointing.
Throughly disappointing experience all around. I’m visiting from Brooklyn and the local residents recommended Joe & John’s Pizzeria but in all honesty, I truly can’t understand why. Maybe it was just some cruel joke people decided to play by telling me to order from here? I just don’t know. First and foremost, food was delivered an hour and a half after I placed the order. AN HOUR AND A HALF!!!! I understand how busy places could get on a Friday night, but if the restaurant knows this to be the case, just tell people their orders might take much longer than expected and allow paying customers to decide whether they want to proceed with the order or not. Doing anything else is simply greedy and appalling behavior, in my opinion. Brooklyn residents are clearly spoiled by almost always having access to the world’s best pizza, so I do take that into account when I say that the slices were mediocre at best and the chicken caesar salad had zero chicken in it (even though the pic of this item on the menu clearly has slices of chicken in it). All of that aside though, the worst part of ordering from Joe & John’s is that the kids kept asking where the pizza was and I had to keep saying “just a few more mins, just a few more mins” because how could I explain to two toddlers that a restaurant doesn’t care that they’re hungry as long as the credit card charge clears or that the Uber driver changed half way through the order being filled and the delivery time just kept getting pushed further and further out. If I wasn’t so upset by the whole experience, I’d probably feel a little sad for the people who live here and hold the quality of food and service at this place in such high regard. What a joke. Thank goodness I’m not a permanent resident.
*Update* We called tonight for our so called “food on the house” the same girl who gave us the offer told my sister they have no proof of what happened and they will not do as they said last night lol DISGUSTING SERVICE!!! We will never order from here again, they refused to give us a refund and refused us their food offer. We will be disputing the order. Customers BEWARE! I placed an order on grubhub at 8:58pm and I waited 2 hours before the restaurant realizes a ticket was never printed out -_- my sister called asking about the order and the girl who answers the phone said our order would be here any minute now..two different times. Apparently there was another order from the same street we live on that she mistook for ours -_- now the restaurant is closed and we have to find another option for dinner. They did offer us food on the house for tomorrow. While it is greatly appreciated, I’m still disappointed. We love Joe and John but for this to happen not only once but twice is beyond infuriating. Do Better!
I genuinely like their pizza, but the service has been consistently unreliable. I’m 9 months pregnant and have had a strong craving for this pizza, but every attempt to order has been extremely frustrating. Delivery times are never accurate and seem to get longer each time. • First order: 1 hr 15 min • Second order: 1 hr 40 min • Third time: My husband was told pickup would be 20 minutes and still waited an additional 20 minutes • Most recent order: Ordered online at 4:30 PM, pizza arrived at 7:00 PM During the most recent order, we called multiple times and were given different explanations each time (“lost ticket,” “waiting on a pie,” “15 more minutes”). We were told we would receive a refund and cookies for the delay; however, neither was included with the order, and after calling back to follow up, we are still waiting for confirmation of any refund. Keep in mind, we were simply ordering slices, not a large or complicated order. My husband even explained that I’m pregnant and that we were trying to be patient, but the situation continued to be mishandled and passed from person to person. The pizza itself is good, but the service is consistently poor and stressful. If you’re ordering during busy hours, be prepared for major delays — and honestly, this feels less like a “busy” issue and more like a system and organization problem. Update: they never refunded the order as promised and never reached back out to us to rectify this - so updating to 1 star. So disappointing.
Here to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an order I placed earlier today. Shortly after eating the food, I began vomiting and experiencing severe diarrhea. This has never happened to me before, and I’ve been a loyal customer for quite some time. The chicken pizza I received looked unappetizing and was extremely hard, almost like cardboard. The buffalo slice was falling apart before I could even pick it up. The overall quality of the food was far below your usual standard and certainly did not match the premium prices being charged. On top of the poor quality, I also felt pressured to provide an additional tip even after tipping once which added to an already frustrating experience. I am extremely disappointed and in pain from what feels like food poisoning. This experience has left me questioning your food safety and quality standards. I expect a full refund and a serious review of how this could have happened.
This has always been my husband’s and my go-to spot for pizza and family events. We’ve been loyal customers since they opened, usually coming every week or every other week and spending about $70–$100 each visit with how much we order. However, our most recent visit was extremely disappointing. A young employee wearing a blue Yankees cap got our order wrong. Instead of apologizing or correcting it politely, he caught an attitude. He shoved the box toward us and said, “here you go, thanks” in a rude tone, without a smile, as if we were inconveniencing him for asking to fix his mistake. His energy basically said, “get out of my face.” I even told another employee about this experience so it could hopefully be conveyed to the manager, but I don’t even know if the message will reach them. As a business owner myself, I always stress to my employees that good customer service is essential — smiles and kindness go a long way. To have to experience the exact opposite here today was honestly heartbreaking. At the end of the day, I’m not going to spend $60–$100 just to catch attitude from an employee. After being loyal customers from the very beginning, this experience has us reconsidering if we even want to return. There are plenty of pizzerias in the neighborhood, and unfortunately, it looks like they may have lost a customer.
