About 2 weeks ago a buddy and me dropped into MG's Pizza to get lunch. I had never been there before and was there on the suggestion of my friend. As we were studying the menu trying to figure out if we wanted subs or pizza I heard the cashier behind us mention they could only take cash because their credit card machine was not working. This was a problem because neither of us had any cash on us. We were both bummed about it but there was nothing we could do, so we shrugged and headed out the door. As I was pushing the door open thinking of another option I head a voice saying "Come eat!" We both turned around and a man in his 50s room as gesturing to come back in. He said just come back and pay up later. Now if that was it that would be good enough, but we decided to order a large pepperoni and cheese pizza, and let me tell you, the pizza was really good! I'm not typically a fan of thin crust pizza, but this pizza was really good. Another thing, 98% of the time I eat pizza I'm burping garlic and tomato sauce afterwards, and half the time I get a mild case of indigestion. Nope, not with the MG's Pizza, an hour later I had not one sign I had eaten 5 slices of thin crust pizza! Their pizza goes down smooth and doesn't come back up! The generosity from the owner is enough to recommend this restaurant, but the great pizza makes it one of my top pizza picks for the area. If you're in Calallen, call in your order and go pick it up, you won't be disappointed!

Old school pizza and beer. Haven't had anything to eat here that I haven't absolutely loved. Everything is delicious. The dine in experience is a little unique since you just grab a drink and sit down. Choose items from big menus on the walls and someone will come out to take your order and serve you. Nice retro arcade games and a big patio to sit outside. Since moving to the coast, this is my favorite pizza place!

I’m a pizza enthusiast lol and I love trying local pizza everywhere I go and this is such a delicious unique spot to go to if you’re in the area. They have some arcade games, inside seating, and some other things im sure I’m forgetting! But definitely check it out and dine in. I also got the Cotten picker sandwich - GET IT. The pepperoni pizza AND Cotten picker sandwich are staples. Every. Single. Visit.

The food and atmosphere was great. Had a good time eating with my family. Our waiter was awesome. My mother in law and I had the cotton picker sub, *highly recommend. Father in law had the grinder, which he said was great too. The kids had the 14 in pepperoni pizza which they munched down. $2.75 for the draft beer. Good pricing. Try their garlic cheese bread. Awesome sauce.

The pizza was excellent. The server was 5 star. Thin and crispy. Best I have had in Texas in 3 yrs. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is how long it took between our pizzas. We had a party of 6, 1st pizza served 30 min after we ordered (kinda long), next pizza comes 20 minutes after that and our pizza another 10 minutes after ( we waited 60 min for our pizza). It is ridiculous to serve the same table 40 min apart. When we started eating, our friends were ready to leave. Went back again. You redeemed yourself. We had our pizza in 20-25 min. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! The service was great!

The food is always amazing. I always get the turkey deluxe or the jo mandy both with no lettuce add mushrooms. I believe they use the canned mushrooms which are my favorite. The customer service was alright. Took a about 5 minutes for them to realize we were there before going to ask if someone comes to us or we go to them to order. When ordering a salad, didnt get asked at the time of what dressing would like. When order was done being taken about a minute later went to the counter to add some more ranch and it just felt like we were bugging them because they were all mostly on their phone.

Had a birthday party at the pizza restaurant,games,party rooms,just that it takes forever to get your order,then once you go look for it it's waiting for waiter to bring to your table,then it's delivered late and cold,also no employees wear hair nets,some of the arcade machines are broke and will take your money,no out of order sign and no refund,better training is needed, for customer service ,,,waiter staff is in a uncaring maner, manager was confronted,about problems and aragance and vindictive manner was her results, beware customer is never right,,,,,

Chef Gordon Ramsay what are through the Italian sandwich in the garbage I'm from Red Hook New York they should have advertised it as a Polish sandwich the only thing missing was sauerkraut ham ham ham all the way across the menu where is sandwich I ever had in my life robbed me for $7.95 would have been better off eating a McDonald's Big Mac not an Italian restaurant and don't know a damn thing about making Italian sub for a fun night out of fasting I recommend this restaurant the food is totally polish not Italian and it tastes like crap so if you want to get ripped off this is the place to go thank you I hope everybody reads this I'm an Italian from New York and I know Italian food and this is not an Italian place at all it's crap they're serving you totally polish cuisine they should call it polish style pizza they may get more customers other than that they their food sucks

We have loved MG's for years and years. However, it seems under the new management they are just making cuts and more disorganized than they ever have been. We spent over $55 for two pizzas and wings yet our pepperoni pizza had maybe one slice of pepperoni per slice. One of the pizzas was also extra burnt which tracks since it took 45 minutes of waiting before we got out carry out order. When asking the employee for an update they stared back and didn't reply at all. It's sad to see the quality declining but hopefully they can figure out something to bring it back to expectations.
