Avaliações de Fuego Coffee Roasters Rochester
This is my go-to place. I'm incredibly lucky that this place is in my community much less in my neighborhood. It's absolutely consistent and brews the best coffee and coffee-drinks in town and well beyond. Tony & Renee are amazing people who just love coffee and want to share it with everyone. No seattle-coffee-pretense to be found here. I wish they served whisky and food because I drink whisky and eat food and I'd definitely buy what they are selling. Guys, note to yourselves: People will buy what you're selling - just saying - for future business development although, don't change Fuego... Do something else new and fresh - they will come. Anyway, I digress. Not sure what you want? Tell the barista what you like... I have confidence that you will be made very happy. Of course I like the place and the owners. Notwithstanding, this is an objective review so I'd have to give them seven-stars, the equivalent of a single Michelin star.
This place is exceptional compared to any cafe you can find in Rochester. The coffee is roasted to perfection right here in Rochester by the owners. The Barista knows exactly what she's doing and will always serve you the best cup of coffee you've ever had. You will never get a bad one. Ever. Virginia is energetic, nice, knowledgeable, and passionate about what she does. If you're really looking for the best then come to Fuego.
Always a great experience, prompt service, great baristas, excellent coffee. New location is a great place to come study or meet friends, natural light and plenty of seating makes it a great place to relax. Some of the best coffee in Rochester.
Something for everyone here - amazing espresso if you like to keep it simple, but also some super unique specialty drink/latte options if you’re into that. Really appreciate that there’s no price difference between an americano and an espresso, and the baristas have all been super friendly each time I’ve visited.
Fuego Coffee Roasters is a second home to so many people. Their coffee is absolutely phenomenal and the service is impeccable. The warm atmosphere that the baristas provide truly lives up to their motto: "Come for Coffee, Stay for Community." They've built something incredibly unique for Rochester, and I look forward to spending many days at this wonderful spot in the near future. Also, the Uncle Marble is one of the best specialty drinks that I've had at any coffee shop, anywhere. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't order it at least once.
Everything they serve is yummy. Could be a simple black coffee, one of their delicious latte creations, or any type of pastry. They never disappoint. They also have the cutest set up of any cafe in Rochester and always have the best art work displayed. Everyone who works there is so friendly and well trained for the job. Best baristas around!! Also the owners are great too okay thanks that's all
Really cool location with friendly staff and fantastic options. I go on my off days to get out of the house and write (super cliche, I know... but it works. I've written probably 100k words there in caffeine fueled power). Staff is helpful, they disinfect tables when people leave which is nice to still see. Try the jam bars they carry from Red Fern and get the French Quarter. You are welcome.
Cute little place. Got coffee and a gluten free item. service was good. Coffee was good. Will absolutely go back again.
Had an online order delayed by the post office. Casey went above and beyond to get my gift in time for Christmas. Fantastic customer service! I also went to the shop. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. I will be returning. Coffee was delicious. Highly recommend!
Feugo has great coffee and atmosphere. They host excellent artists and right now they have some exquisite tapestry art on their walls. They have table and chairs as well as a couch and some armchairs, which are my favorite. I always go there for chicory iced coffee.try it out!
Fuego roasts my favorite coffee. We no longer live in Rochester so we miss enjoying their coffee in person, but we now have Fuego shipped to us regularly. It tastes like home, and we love supporting a terrific small business. Also their customer service is top notch.
Love this place. Super friendly staff, great art collection, great vibe overall. Very comfortable place with great drinks, food, community.
The best coffee in Rochester. The espresso drinks are made well every time, the cold brew is alwags delicious, and their mochas are in a class of their own. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The location is great, lots of seating and plenty of counter space. Always worth a trip, highly recommended.
Nice place to meet up with a friend. Cool, relaxed, quiet vibe. I've tried so many things on their menu, espresso & hot teas, everything is so good! I'm loving their French Quarters iced coffee, and their hot black tea (maybe an Earl Gray) with steamed soy.
Spacious and generous room with abundance and variety of seating along with cheerful downtown views. Coffee was hot, fresh and vigorous. Pastry had an airy nature but no less stout and commanding. Friendly customer experience.
I got referred by a local to check it out, and I was presently surprised. Coming from Australia, we do love our coffee and have a high standard in what we drink. And I was very impressed by your coffee here, I had to have it twice. It's a place I'll be visiting again soon.
I don't drink coffee, but I love their matcha lattes! The baristas are always friendly and quick, and I love the rotating local art that is displayed on the walls. The space also has great natural light which makes the space feel more inviting. Definitely one of my top choices if anyone is looking to "grab a cup of coffee".
One of my go-to Rochester coffee shops. High quality coffee, friendly staff and great atmosphere. It’s a nice place to either hang out with friends or set up shop and do work for a while. Lots of outlets along the walls and spacious inside.
High quality coffee and great atmosphere!
Fuego is my favorite coffee shop. Everything I've ever had is great. The staff is always friendly and willing to talk you through options. Tony is always willing to help customers and his employees alike. Will definitely be back for more.
Smooth and balanced espresso, every time! This shop is one of my favorites in Rochester. The baristas know what they’re doing and the environment is inviting. They support other local businesses and feature artists every month!
The coffee and atmosphere is fantastic. It's a very open area, the seats are comfortable, and coffee is great. There are two immediate downsides I can think of: The parking situation is not that great. Most of the off-street parking is not available for Fuego consumers. You'll have to pay unless you go towards the end of their hours. Speaking of hours, it would be awesome if they stayed open later. I'd come here more often than I would Cafe Sasso or Java's if they would stay open later.
I bought the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe whole bean online for pour-over. The roast was very fresh and I think it was roast to order since the roast date was the same day I ordered, or it is just a coincident. Anyway, the shipping was fast to the west coast, within a few days. The package has a hand written thank you note which is a nice human touch. I really like coffee from Ethiopia, it has a very unique flavor like no others.
The latte at Fuego was really smooth and the staff was very friendly. There's plenty of seating at the cafe, making it a great place to work or for meetups.
Best coffee in Rochester, NY. Period. Not to mention, the tasty treats and awesome atmosphere. Fuego's focus is and always be community, which is what keeps me coming back. Their Woodbury space gives them the most room, thus far, for folks to visit, work, read, hang out and chat, or just relax and enjoy a tasty beverage. The shop in the Rochester Public Market gives folks a chance to grab a cup of coffee and a snack, while they peruse the various wonderful vendors of our region. This shop has a very strong focus on community: working with other businesses in the area to offer tasty treats; giving local artists opportunities to display their work; supporting various charities and groups throughout the area; providing a casual, friendly environment for all to enjoy. They also work directly with some of the farmers in Guatemala that supply the coffee that they roast, bringing a very farm-to-cup touch to the business. Stop in and say hi to the amazing staff and try my personal favorite drink: The French Quarter. You won't be sorry.
Really great open space with a ton of windows. Quiet atmosphere but still active. Very nice staff and excellent coffee! Also has baked goods from local businesses, nice to see them supporting each other!
Great coffee, pastries and overall atmosphere. It can get pretty busy on weekend mornings but that is expected of any quality coffee shop. Baristas are friendly but fast, and overall the service is excellent. Great beans, too!
Great spot to grab a coffee and do some work in a quiet spot or meet up with a friend.
First time coming to this place and I have to say I loved it! The barista was quick and our drinks were delicious. My wife got the chai tea latte and I got a cinnamon chipotle mocha. We would recommend either. The mocha was smooth and the cinnamon chipotle spices were present but not overbearing. The chai was well made and on the sweeter side. Atmosphere was bright and cheery. Music was a bit loud but not terrible. Seating was plentiful. We were there to chat with friends which we could do with no problem. There was also plenty of tables and areas for laptops and tablets. We will be coming back.
This is my favorite coffeeshop in Rochester. Here's why: • Fuego has the best drip coffee and the best espresso drinks. No one in Rochester makes a better cortado. Their roasts are complex and fascinating. • Fuego has the best environment. The windows are tall and let in plenty of refreshing light. It doesn't have that polygon robot barn look of a lot of contemporary coffee shops. It's not as cramped as some other coffeeshops in Rochester, but it's also not a sprawling mess like some others. The artwork also isn't awkwardly bad. It's a good space both to get work done and have a conversation. • The music selection is great for writing — often it's abstract electronica in the mode of Boards of Canada, though I did hear Jenny Lewis blasting one early morning, which totally worked too. The only major downside is that there's no free parking that I know of, but that doesn't stop me from coming back.
Such a unique artsy place! This was my first time as a coffee lover and my beverage is beyond on point! Above all else, service exceptional for a coffee house. When joy fills all your senses; You know I’ll best be back many times to come.
Excellent espresso tonic and friendly staff. Good donuts! Love the coffeehouse vibes and a great place to start the day. Saw plenty of people grinding away on work and meetings. Cool spot.
popped in this morning and got the cinnamon chipotle latte— absolutely delicious with stunning latte art to match!! the barista who served me was a delight, a ray of sunshine and super fast. 10/10 thank you!!
This may be a controversial opinion but I will share it because I'm right: this place makes the best latte in town without exception. I've also tried a decent amount of their freshly roasted coffee and that is very good stuff as well. I love that they put the date of roast on the package and the air tight seal packaging. The staff are always nice. I love coming here!
Coffee was some of the best quality I have ever had, want to emphasize that!!! I wasn't really paying attention to the person helping us, though. The food is more a la carte (that I saw, at least) but the bagel I had was clearly from a quality local bakery, it was excellent as well. The place seems pretty minimalist, I liked it and will definitely go back again.
It's a cute industrial coffee house vibe. It is a good place to meet with a friend or get some work done. The coffee I will say, is reliably good! Good options of espresso/beans to choose from. Glad to have been recommended this place on my drive through Rochester.
Great staff, excellent coffee and great roasted bags to go. It's slightly pricier than Boulder down the street but not by much. The fresh pastries and donuts are awesome. Easy place to get in and out of and the staff is really friendly.
I really loved the vibe at this cafe, it was really chill and calming to spend some time in. The coffee was nice, and I also ordered a bagel with jalapeno cream cheese which turned out to be house made it seems which was a nice surprise and really tasty. I'll definitely be stopping by again in the future!
One of my favorite places to go! Wifi, Gluten Free & Vegan Red Fern Cookie, and a little Chai with Almond Milk, helps me power through some work at this awesome little joint! The Art is ever changing, and it's so great to be able to appreciate so many talented local artists! Highly recommend!!
Having visited coffee shops all over New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, I was surprised to find this little gem in Rochester. The coffee and tea drinks were delicious, the staff was friendly and the pastries were fresh and well priced. Be sure to arrive early if you want a good selection of treats as they do tend to go fast. Parking in the area is a bit tricky but worth it.
Fuego is all around one of the best coffee shops I've been to. The coffee is consistently excellent, the pastries are delicious, the staff are friendly, and there is a good amount of seating available. They also have a nice selection of whole bean coffee, including single origin coffees in a modern, light roast style.
So great. What personality. Perfect forna downtown coffee retreat. Best Latte ever by an adorable barrista. What a smile.
Great coffee. They're constantly rotating their options which is awesome. 10th drink is free! Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. There's everyone from suits to self employed artist hanging out here in harmony throughout the day. The owners are regularly in working the counter as well. Highly recommend. The quality of their coffee is fantastic.
The atmosphere is very chill and calm, a good to place to work on things. They have a wide selection of coffee, teas, and specialty drinks. I got an iced Uncle Marble and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff are nice and welcoming as well! This place is honestly a great coffee shop, and I'd recommend to anyone who likes coffee.
Cool place worth checking out. The coffee and tea were excellent and low-priced for the location. The service was the best part though. Spilled hot tea all over my car and when I went back in to buy another they wouldn't take my money, just gave me another one! DJ was awesome and even hooked me up with extra napkins to clean up. Will definitely return next time I'm in Rochester.
The maple iced latte was delicious and the chocolate croissant was good.
What a wonderful experience. Cool atmosphere, and the most pleasant barista named Virginia. She was so helpful and kind. And to top it off some really great coffee! If you don't know what you want the staff is excited to help you decide. Highly recommend this place, and will come back next time I'm in Rochester.
Virginia is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and definitely went above and beyond in literally every aspect. Of course the coffee was perfect too!! The one-and-one is a unique offering and I loved being able to get the shot split to try their espresso alone and a cortado for the price of one drink :) Indoor seating is spaced well and the high, bare ceiling is both pretty and helps keep things aired out. Got beans I’m excited to try, all bags were no more than five days old which is right where they should be!
Solid coffee. Lovely people. Perfect location. Pros: Location Tea selection Quick service Friendly staff Cons: People are too nice Music is extra fantastic Too much natural light (Ie, No cons) I love coming here specifically for earl grey tea. Pictured here is a nice backup ginger variety.
Such a cozy intimate space that makes you want to linger. The cappuccino and banana bread was just as good as the service and conversation. Love the plant decor too!
Fuego brings the heat when it comes to espresso. Solid latte and friendly customer service. They have vegan pastries from The Red fern, which were tasty!
The Baristas were super nice. The cortado was delightful and came in a nice glass. The vanilla iced latte and the salted caramel were perfectly balanced. The salted caramel syrup is made in-house!
Nice place with both indoor and outdoor seating, milk alternatives, and large size for a quick coffee or getting work done. Have a parking lot too so nice for a downtown location.
Had a great early morning coffee after a run at Genesis Trail. Close to University of Rochester, the café offers ample seating and a bright, sunlit atmosphere. Friendly staff, a wide variety of coffee options, and fresh bakery items the almond croissant was especially good. Overall, a lovely experience!
Best coffee in Rochester! My fave place for a specialty bev. I appreciate the minimalist vibes and love that they regularly have ridge donuts in the sweet treat line up 🤤 nice place to do a little work or for a chat. I appreciate that they don’t blast music super loud, I find it’s a bit quieter here than in other coffee shops around town.
Located in Downtown Rochester, outstanding coffee and espresso selection. Creative drink menu: mocha, peanut butter latte, and uncle latte. Attention to detail, quality beans, healthy menu options and great service! They also offer pour over coffee for those who prefer freshly prepared coffee drinks! There is a soft serve machine for those interested in a cold, delicious dessert.
Fuego is such a cute space, in a great convenient location and the espresso is good (for lattes). The only improvement I think they could make is the coffee beans - the coffee tastes very watery whether you order coffee or take beans home.
I love this place. Fantastic atmosphere, plenty of seating area, good service, great coffee, and above all clean. This may seem odd, but even the bathrooms are great! I love that up and coming artists can show their art here as well as even when busy, this place retains it's calm and quiet demeanor. New fave spot I'm sure I'll be going to again and again!
Great coffee and tea selection. They keep the interior lit by natural light, so if it's dark out, it can be a bit dark on the inside, which isn't my favorite. But the staff is awesome, really down to earth and super friendly. Really feels like a community in there.
Good coffee, nice selection of pastries from a variety of different bakeries and shops around the city which is nice. Lots of seating.
The coffee was quite ok (a latte and a breve cappuccino), absolutely acceptable, but not outstanding. The milk part - perfect and pretty, the coffee itself - just ok. Supposedly Columbia, but no acidic flavor. It is a good place to sit and work or study. The location feel “in the middle of nowhere”, albeit just a couple blocks from downtown.
I had heard great things about this place and most of the reviews are excellent, but I was disappointed. I was debating between the 3 stars or 4. First the good. The vibe is cool and trendy and the barista was SUPER nice. They seem very inclusive and every other person seemed to have a pupper with them. My boyfriend got an apple fritter and it was excellent. Everyone seemed to be like family and very friendly with each other (even seemingly strangers). Now the cons. First, there's no parking except limited street parking that'll cost you minimum $1.50. Maybe you don't have a car or live close enough to walk so you don't care, cool. It is a little small inside. Now to the coffee. I got a latte and it was bitter. My boyfriend got drip coffee and it just tasted very acidic even after lots of milk and sugar. Joe Bean has much better coffee (but not great atmosphere) and Sasso has much better atmosphere and drink choices (but the coffee is just ok).
The coffee here is excellent, with a diverse selection to suit a range of tastes. The atmosphere is inviting, modern, and spacious, offering a variety of seating options for comfort. Additionally, the jam bars provide a delightful, sweet complement to a cup of coffee. Overall, this coffee shop stands out slightly above the average, similar to other quality establishments in the area.
Fuego has super good lattes; I really enjoyed my salted caramel latte. It’s a decent calming atmosphere too. I thought it felt a bit industrial and could’ve used cozier chairs or something, if I wanted to spend a lot of time here. I was also surprised by the lack of food on the menu; it looked like they didn’t have any food except a couple pastries in the cooler. Overall a nice spot to grab a drink or chill for a bit though.
The coffee is really acidic, which is my least favorite type of coffee. A lot of other coffee shops I've stopped by in Rochester have had more full bodied, mild acidity beans which taste much better in my opinion. Also they only have almond milk, which I thought was unusual. So this place will rock your world if you like both of these things, but it's not for me.
Despite all my positivity below, one piece of decor that I found to be ethnically offensive is the reason I rated atmosphere 1-star, but let's move on... Great little coffee shop. An excellent choice for a "post-GEVA java" or an afternoon sip. With Genesee Vally Arts playhouse a block away, offering a discount for showing a GEVA ticket could make GEVA & JAVA nights a reality. Sure the plays get out late, but Fuego need only staff for an hour at the close of the play. Maybe actors eat free if they are willing to interact with other patrons. I'd go to hear from any GEVA actor about what goes on behind the scenes. With the one notable exception above, there atmosphere feels comfortable and spacious. A great place to hang out with a friends, including at the outdoor curbside tables. Very good coffee. I recommend the Guatemalan. I haven't been to Fuego since 10 years ago when they were by the University Club and I met with the bean buyer. Still a great place. Being that I have sourced coffee at farms in Bolivia, Brazil, and Columbia, I have a fair idea of quality and cupping. The front parlor is good for meetings of 2 to 4 persons. Although the parlor is next to the entrance, per the definition of parlor, and consequently maybe not be the best place in winter drafts, it is reasonably private because people just walk past and straight up the stairs to the order counter and main dining room. The colorful art-deco parlor offers a pair of cushioned chairs, a couch, and a coffee table -- one that finally lives up to it's name.
I was at Fuego Coffee Roasters on Sunday afternoon with my friends. We ordered just coffee and sat on a yellow couch while drinking it. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by how dirty the place was. My wife wiped the table with her wipes, and they turned black from the dirt. The floor, couch, and sofas all had dirty spots everywhere. It’s sad because we like their coffee, but we can’t enjoy drinking it inside.
Out of state order. Wanted to try their roast options for a while. When I finally placed and order, they decided among themselves to replace an item I selected without contacting me to authorize or ask if I wanted money back. Have reached out via multiple online platforms with zero response to correct the issue. Will not be buying from these people again. They have lost a customer. Aside for the lack of customer service, their coffee is actually good.
Rude barista and clients. Very happy to stay going to where I normally do where folks are friendly and less 'woke'. By the way...I don't need your free coffee and nor does RPD. Want a good cup of joe and see friendly convo by staff and clients? Head to Chili Center and the Bean.
