Always looking for different places to eat breakfast, found Arely’s after my DMV appointment. The food did not disappoint. Had the chipotle eggs Benedict and it was officially on my top best eggs Benedict I’ve had. Mexican mocha was very yummy perfect taste, just the right sweetness.
I have eaten here for a few years now. I have never had a bad meal. Always delicious, always exactly as I ordered. Friendly staff, and efficient. I'm a customer for life! Yummers!🙂
Ok- if you don’t go for the food, definitely go for the service! All the staff was great but KEN was incredible. He was so knowledgeable and welcoming. I love seeing people just be themselves. The strawberry matcha latte, chilaquiles, pancakes and chai latte were so good. Plan on going back again!
Arley’s French Bakery and Cafe is such a cute and vibey place and it’s my new fav spot in SD! Shout out to Ken for his excellent customer service. He’s super friendly, welcoming, and so genuinely nice, and makes every visit feel special. Honestly, he makes a great place even better. Can’t recommend enough!
I have been to Arley's a few times the last couple months. It has quickly become my favorite breakfast place! I typically go early in the mornings on weekdays and it isn't crowded, weekends can get a bit busy so bring your patience with you.. however the Saturday that I went the wait was estimated at about fifteen minutes and we were sat in less time than that. The staff at Arley's are very welcoming and friendly! They don't mind answering questions and are attentive but they don't smother you. The vibe at Arley's is definitely more laid back and positive.. they want you to enjoy your meal and it shows! I have tried their breakfast sandwich, crepes, and omelettes, and they are all done very well. However their wet breakfast burrito has my heart! These are good sized burritos loaded with egg, potatoes, and pico de gallo. They are topped with sour cream, avocado slices, microgreens, and your choice of green or red sauce. Both sauces are amazing! The green is a tangier more mild situation and the red give more homestyle with a very tiny bit of heat. I wouldn't even call it spicy.. there is just enough of a kick to say "Hello! I am here." but nothing that is going to set your mouth on fire. The Mexican hot chocolate is delicious! Nice and creamy, sweet but not overpoweringly sweet. And the Tiramisu is divine! I would definitely recommend going to Arley's. Great food and awesome service!
Don’t know how Arely’s doesn’t have a 5star rating. Their eggs Benedict is outrageously good. The hollandaise sauce is slightly savory as opposed to the overly sweet sauce you find in a typical breakfast joint. Roque Madame was also top notch.
One of the best places in the area. The morning manager Ken is amazing and his team are super responsive. We are slowly working through the menu and have always had great meals. Sitting outside is a dog friendly atmosphere and the morning sun will warm you when they first open on these cool spring mornings. Lots of seniors and regulars which is a sign that this is a great restaurant. Seniors are an indication of good food at good value. Love this place
I needed 6 beautiful Black Forest cupcakes and I'd run out of time to bake them myself, so I tried Arely's bakery. The staff member advised me that, while they don't routinely make Black Forest cakes or cupcakes, they could do a special order for me and they could do it in less then 48 hours. For only 6 cupcakes...Really? WOW - what an unexpected LIFESAVER!!! Also, I had already purchased a cupcake tray in which the cupcakes could travel, so I brought it in for them to use for the finished cupcakes even though they weren't sure their standard-sized cupcakes would fit. When I picked up the cupcakes, they were ready as promised, absolutely beautiful in their presentation, and neatly packaged in my tray. I learned that Arely staff modified the size of the cupcakes they made so that they would fit perfectly into my tray. I can't even tell you what a lifesaver they were in my time of frantic need. They were friendly, professional, incredibly accommodating and so proficient. They did an absolutely amazing job and the cupcakes tasted fantastic. What a great establishment!!
Ordered a chocolate mousse cake for Lunar New Year and it was delicious! A soft, chocolately cake that isn't overly rich. It was the perfect sweetness and I appreciate the cream instead of frosting. I do wish the cake box was smaller to better fit the small cake. They only had large boxes and it made it difficult to transport. The mixed fruit tart were also tasty!
Great service, great food, and a lot of vegetarian options. My wife and I have visited a couple of times, and have had a great experience. The quichés here are amazing. You must try their pastries for desert. We like the cheese danish. We will be coming back, and we highly recommend you check this delicious bakery cafe. You won’t regret it!
A pretty cute French bakery which serves breakfast and lunch as well. When we went there on a Thursday morning, the restaurant was packed and needed 15-20 minutes for an indoor seat. It’s so popular. We shared 4 different dishes and we all agreed the sweet dishes are much better than the savory ones. So I recommend the stuffed French toast and fruit crepes.
I highly recommended this french bakery for either breakfast or lunch. The service is amazing, fast service and a lot of food options. You can try the almond croissant, it's really good and so yummy. The pastas are good as well. Always ask the service staff what foods they can recommend.
Atmosphere look good. I had a to go order. Let me tell you hands down the best turkey croissant sandwich. I eat it 2hr after I got my sandwich so just imagine having it on the spot. The croissant is amazing you can taste the butter and you can taste the freshness of all the ingredients. Definitely will go back again. Hope you get tempted by the pics.
I got a breakfast croissant and my friend got a salmon croissant. Mine was good. Hers was very fulfilling she said. It’s a cozy cute place. Unfortunately I got a box to go and I forgot my leftovers there. I called back 5 minutes later and asked for my food and then I went back and they didn’t find it. They said that the staff probably threw it away. I understand but it was like 5 min. They should wait longer, so if the customer returns it is still there.
12-27-2025 I had Lemon Mouse Cake $6.25 and Peanut Butter Cookie $3.00, both were yummy delicious! Forgot how much I enjoy their pastries and breakfast here. Need to revisit more often : )
*Atmosphere definitely a French cafe feel *Food was good, the Nutella crepe was amazing *Service -- not so great, I came to eat alone and my server would walk by several times without making eye contact when I needed her attention. I had to get my silverware from a bus boy (and later, paying the check was a challenge)
Hesitant to review because it's the closest breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in my area and I'd hate for it to get crowded... But... I also hope they stay in business for a long time. It's a very lowkey place with a large menu of delicious food options along with cases of various French pastries (croissants, eclairs, almond horseshoes, cakes, macarons, etc.) At very affordable prices. It was refreshing to see coffee for $2.70 when it's double that price in most places in San Diego now. The service was pretty quick too. My only negative feedback was that the hashbrowns were mid --I prefer them far more crispy and salted-- and my matcha latte was a bit over-sweetened. However, I'm excited to come back and try more of their food. On my second visit I ordered the ham quiche with a hot tea. They had many types of high quality (TeaForte) teas and the quiche was outstanding! A perfect blend of spices.
The 5 breakfast choices we selected were good. I always like to order a small side salad with raspberry vinaigrette to go alongside the main meal. For breakfast you can order anything from the breakfast and lunch menu. The Mexican cafe mocha with soy milk was delicious. However, the crape with berries came as a single crape with no dressing or filling but just fruits; the crape was small, tasteless, and dry. The crapes batter was badly made, which is unacceptable. Shouldn't there be at least 2 crapes on the plate? For the bill, they added whipped cream which was not part of the order so I had to ask to take it off.
This place came highly recommended so we were excited to add another breakfast spot to our list. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. I had the Arelys scramble with hash browns and husband had the breakfast croissant with house potatoes. Everything was meh. But the item that was most disappointing was the Crème brûlée. French restaurant should have this down. Awful! One bite and there was no way I could have another. Hubby had the cheesecake. Not good. I rarely give bad reviews. I usually say nothing if I can't say something good. But this one, I had to say something. The service was great but they need new chefs.
I went here last Saturday and got a Hazelnut Cake slice, chocolate muffin and Opera Cake. I wrote and delete this review cause I thought it was too mean originally. This was before I tried the chocolate muffin. So I'm going to rewrite my original review and also review the chocolate muffin that made me come back to rewrite this review. The Hazelnut Cake slice tasted nothing like hazelnut at all. It felt as though it was either mixed or sliced with dirty/unwashed cutlery. With each bite and from every angle of the cake. It tasted dirty. There's no other way to describe it. The Opera Cake slice was a weird consistency. It was really dense and the layers were a weird texture. The flavor or Opera Cake was there but it wasn't as pronounced. Such as the chocolate on it wasn't tempered correctly. The chocolate instead of melting in your mouth will clump together and form little balls that you would need to chew. Not a fan. Never had an Opera Cake do this. This is where my original review ends. I tried the Chocolate Muffin later that day and warmed it up with a wet paper towel to help its texture and moisture a bit. The muffin was so dry and dense. It felt like it was some old inventory they had in the back. After trying this muffin I decided to rewrite this review as all of the 3 out 3 items i got were disgusting. If any one them tasted good I would say "oh yea this one tasted good at least" but literally not one of them did. Oh yea. All of these items tasted like they've been sitting in the fridge with no cover. You know when you leave food in the fridge and it has that fridge taste. That's what all of these have in common.
