My dad’s car was making a very loud noise and we didn’t know what was happening. It was a Saturday when we started looking for shops and luckily this place was open on a Saturday. My husband called an immediately someone answered and helped us through the whole process. I forgot his name but the gentleman on the phone was very nice. We had our car towed to the shop and Miguel kept me updated all throughout and explained the process very thoroughly especially for someone like me knowing nothing of cars. He was very nice and accomodating. He made this experience so much easier. The care was there for about 3-4 days which we thought was pretty quick! The shop also send you pictures, a very detailed invoice and diagnostic and they also have cameras where you see your car super cool! Anyways, this shop is amazing I will definitely come here again and highly recommend it!

Everything about this experience was truly stress-free. I was able to communicate via text and receive a quick response, and also had great follow-up via phone call. Needed to meet my new tires aligned and was able to drop my car off at a time that was convenient to me, and though I didn't need it, I appreciated the offer of ride-home service. Everything was done within the time and cost quoted, no nonsense, all professionalism. Will continue to use Stress-Free Auto for all of my car's needs. Even my husband, who was skeptical about my rave review, said to me after his first call to schedule maintenance: "Okay, I get it now, you were right."

They're very thorough and very tech-forward in really useful ways (e.g. they text you updates to keep you in the loop every step of the process and you can literally watch them working on your car in real time through a live camera!). The report they issued was very thorough and written in a way that even a non-mechanical person like myself was able to understand. And their customer service is exceptional: it's easy to get a human on the phone and their staff is incredibly patient. When I had questions about my report, the person I spoke with (sorry I didn't get a name!!) took 20+ minutes to walk me through everything and help me understand exactly what was needed and when and why. For all these reasons, I highly recommend Stress-Free Auto Care.

Very courteous. Great attention to detail. Explained the work that needed to be done by showing me the condition of the brakes on the car and explaining what needed to be done. Great use of digital pictures. Clear and complete invoice. Free overall inspection citing things that were in good condition and things that might need attention in the future.

I initially came to Stress Free Auto because they had easy online booking and weekend availability. After a few oil changes and other services, i’m sticking with them. They are very transparent with constant text updates, anticipated costs, and criticality of repairs. They’ve sometimes even let me know to wait on certain services because they weren’t necessary, saving me time and money. The guys in the shop I’ve interacted with have all been professional and nice. No haggle on pricing, straight forward and got right to what I needed. Got me in and out in under 1hr with a wheel service I requested, the service advisors and the phone messaging/emails were spot on to when the vehicle was being worked on and when it was ready for pick up, unlike many places saying it’s ready but you arrive and they said give them about 30min - 1hr to get my car ready. Stress Free Auto Care just gained a new customer locally to SF as well!

Awesome shop, really nice people. Went in for tire rotation and balancing. They also did a multipoint inspection and provided a thorough report with pictures which was very helpful. Definitely going to be my go-to shop for future maintenance

I was really impressed with this place after getting my car serviced for the first time. They got me in same day 1 hour after calling, their online interface is very helpful and informative with prices etc, and they send you a full inspection report with picture and descriptions of every item which I loved. Prices are reasonable and their text/phone communication was stellar. Highly recommend.

Everyone behind the counter that deals with the public are experts and genuine. I asked Michael if he would check my tire pressures since the dash warning light was on. He checked all 4 and found a nail in left rear. Said it was repairable so I booked an appointment. Repair was done in a timely manner and when they did a general inspection, found windshield wipers were streaking so I gave the OK to replace them. Michael ordered them from a shop south of the city, said it would take a bit longer to get here, but they were cheaper. I really appreciated his efforts.

Operationally advanced! This shop was able to quickly replace two front tires after booking with them online. They have really good text and customer support and seem to have their act together in terms of having a quick check-in and pickup process. They do have a free car checkup, but we're not pushy at all with additional services and simply sent out a list of potential extra things we may want to fix.

UPDATE: Had a highly productive conversation with Lauren on 11/6. We reviewed my experience, identified the root cause, and they've already committed to adjusting their process to prevent recurrence. That's true transparency and customer-first service! I highly recommend them! =================================================== I was really impressed with the team at first. They did a comprehensive job checking my suspension and explained everything clearly. But that good feeling was completely overshadowed by the bill. They failed to disclose the diagnostic fee at any point until I was literally at the counter to pick up my car. It's not about the dollar amount, it's that I wasn't allowed to say "yes" or "no" to that cost. It just felt dishonest. So, a heads-up to anyone else: the mechanics are good, but I'd caution you to get all costs confirmed in writing before you agree to anything.

Our car battery completely died and we had to tow it to a garage, but it was almost 6 pm so no place was open. We called them at 5:55 and they let us leave our car there overnight and got it back to us the next day ready to go!! They were super accommodating and fast

I really like this place! I spoke with Steve initially, I believe that’s his name. He was very nice and helpful! Then I dealt with with Miguel and Robert. They were also very nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and guided me thru the steps from initial estimate to the finished service! They were honest and I felt they had my best interests at heart!! Really terrific service. They also did a free evaluation of other parts of the car and had recommendations for servicing on these. But they always left my decision up to me and I never felt pushed into any repairs I did not want at that time. They were VERY satisfied with my deciding what repairs I wanted. This was nice!! Great bunch!!

Great experience! I came in for a Porsche boxster oil change. They didn’t sell me anything, just pulled up records and based on mileage, what they would recommend. I took some of their recommendations and they never tried to push for the others. Oil change came with free tire rotation and a digital diagnostic check, which came with pictures in a report. Super nice!! Also got a free Lyft ride home while my car in the shop. Everything (oil change, diagnostic for a specific problem I was having, and spark plugs) came out to be $800, which is not bad for a Porsche!! Very honest and indeed stress free.

Scheduling was easy and the staff was friendly. I brought my car in for an oil change, but after reviewing the invoice I realized the oil used didn’t match what’s specified in the car’s manual for a newer VW engine. I followed up to raise this concern, but instead of referencing the manual or engine-specific requirements, the shop relied on a generic system and dismissed the issue. The car also took a couple hours longer than expected to be ready, and pickup felt rushed. Plan to bring your car early in the day for oil change services (probably before 3pm) if you want to pick it up the same day. This shop may be fine for basic maintenance or repairs, but I wouldn’t recommend it for newer VWs or European cars where following manufacturer specifications matters.

The staff at the facility were friendly and helpful. The fees were way more expensive than other mechanics that I’ve used in the past. While the systems and communications were top notch, I would not return to this facility. In addition I was informed that the wiper blades that I had purchased were the incorrect size for my car. I returned to the facility where I purchased them and they easily installed them for me. They were in fact the correct size. I wish you well with your garage but I have options that cost less and are well qualified to handle my needs
