Very delicious, Great value! Understandably very busy.
My girlfriend and I went here on our 5th anniversary after trying a few different AYCE places to eat at (other places were closing or too long of a wait) and it was BUSY. Our initial server was very busy with other tables, but Andy took over and was great! Very friendly, great attitude, great service, and great food. Thank you for a positive end to our night, Andy!
First time there today although l live close by. My cousin and l enjoyed the food a lot and the Mimosas too. Service very attentive as well. Ashley is very sweet. Yes l recommend this place. Prices are very good too in my opinion. You have many choices food and price wise. Planning to go back and to introduce my other friends to it.
Food is good and fresh, service is always good. Restaurant is small so big parties can be challenging
Everything was great! The meats were flavorful, well marinated and perfect portions. Service was quick and friendly. First time having Japanese BBQ and I prefer this over KBBQ. Did all you can eat and got the 2nd tier. Came on a Sunday afternoon.
The hostess didn't do quality control on my order. So she said she was gonna discount some. Items, and she didn't...😐 not only am I still hungry i feel ripped off came down to me Paying $30 for a salad. The spicy tuna volcano was no good at all
We recently visited this place and truly enjoyed the experience we had here! The service was great got seated within 15 min upon entering. Food was a 9/10 meat and salads and crispy rice were tasty. Our server was Maddy and she was very kind and attentive! If you visit this place ask for her she is the best! The atmosphere was good too they were actually busy the day we visited but it was all good vibes! If your looking for a Japanese Bbq restaurant this is the spot! Highly recommend coming here!
The best place ever you NEED to come here. I highly recommend the waiter Bree if she is there. This place sometimes may take a little long but that’s only because everyone likes it and the business is booming. This place is great and Bree is great as well!
Wonderful food. Server was awesome. Did have a supernatural experience in the bathroom. Not the end of the world, but did ruin my experience a little
Not a fan of tiny open dividers between the booths. Had a kid sneeze on my food from the other side of our booth. Our Waiter Alex was very nice and helpful and has a good attitude. The food and service was good overall.
We really enjoyed this place. The salad and noodles were my fave. Tons of delicious meat choices.
It's been a while since I've been to one of these and it seems like a lot has changed. For the better. It definitely is more "corporate" in feel, but that means the service, pricing, specials, happy hour, and atmosphere have all greatly improved. Jarred, our server, was amazing. Super attentive, friendly, unobtrusive, kept our drinks full... Seriously amazing service. The food was really good, too. Ordered a bunch of different stuff. Also, their grills have vents inside them, so there's no smoke. Definitely coming back.
Hi I went to this restaurant yesterday and it was really fun. This food was ridiculously delicious and I recommend the noodles and the platter for four is the best! I belove that we had to ask for the waitress a little too many times, but that's excusable because it was very busy. Also I had to walk all around the tables because they were too close together for me to walk.
I love this place! It has been my favorite for the last 10 years and it never disappoints. I love the service, the food, their friendly staff and the food. It always pays off to make a reservation and it's the kind lf place That will accommodate a bigger party if more people show up.
This Gyu-Kaku is great! The food is awesome. Definitely get the all you can eat. Every plate was delicious. I need a wheelbarrow to get home! The service is perfect. Never felt rushed, but always had our server ready when we needed her. It would have been nice if a manager checked to see if we were all right.. but good thing Robyn took such great care of us. I felt so welcome with her smiling every time she checked with us. Thanks Robyn!
We came here 30 minutes before closing and they still made time for us! The staff is so very sweet, they went above and beyond! They accommodated us in under 5 minutes and they even cooked gyoza past the 10pm mark! Our waiter Richard was wonderful and had some amazing accommodations. I will absolutely recommend this place with a big smile on my face! This place is a MUST! Thank you so much for making our thanksgiving dinner one to remember!
The food here is amazing. Good flavors and fresh. 3 price points to choose from. I got the 70 dollar menu items and I can't complain. Left stuffed and sleepy lol. All staff members were friendly and made you feel welcomed there.
Probably THE BEST bbq I’ve ever had. It has a very authentic feeling and atmosphere. The service is ok but can definitely be improved. They recommended the Harami Skirt Steak but personally it’s just too lean and the Prime Kalbi just tastes much better. Overall the price is very reasonable. Definitely Recommended, especially for meat lovers! BTW: make sure to reserve beforehand because the lines can get ridiculous.
Great meat, great service! Super delicious sauces and a cozy atmosphere if you want to sit down for a long casual meal. Make sure you wear dark clothes, you will splatter oil or sauce occasionally. Our meat lovers course menu took care of two of us very well 😊 The only thing I did not like was their karaage (fried chicken) it was way over-cooked and super dry, and such a dark color almost black. But since it was an extra side and was still edible with the provided dipping sauce, even that can't bring down my rating. I'm guessing it was a fluke and they just forgot it in the fryer given it was kind of busy. 🤷♀️ Oh well! I was there for the yakiniku anyway!
We had a great time, We got the all you can eat option and kids under 6 eat for free. Warning: The spicy pork was super spicy. Alfonso, our waiter was great.
You are in for an eating experience! I've come to Gyu many times before and have finally decided to review it after last night's visit. I typically come on Friday or Saturday for a late dinner around 8 or 9. Yesterday we got in around 9:30 and were told we'd have a 45 minute wait (usual for this time). My boyfriend and I took a seat at the bar to enjoy a few pre-dinner drinks, we ordered a pitcher of Sapporo and large sake. I ended up getting a coupon for a free edamame that we snacked on while waiting. The bartenders were super nice and attentive, they kept checking to make sure we were doing well even though we were sitting at the end of the bar. I loved this! Often bartenders have ignored me when I'm on the end, it's like the forgotten spot. We were seated earlier than expected, around 10 pm. We order they same thing every time so the food came out pretty quickly. We always cook our veggies first, then the meats or seafood. It's nice to spend time and chat and share in the preparation of our food, especially over beers and sake! Our waiter was very nice, one of the dishes was late coming out and when I brought it to his attention he immediately went back and grabbed it from the kitchen. Normally we take an Uber or a Lyft but last night we drove. Gyu is located in a big shopping center parking lot so there is parking avail, but sometimes it is scarce so you have to resort to street parking. There seems to be a lot of available street parking. I continue to love coming here and know I will be back for my Japanese bbq fix soon! Thanks, Gyu-Kaku!
The best Korean BBQ restaurant I’ve been to! Great atmosphere, good food and overall good time!! Selection of meats is very diverse, and all have some type of flavor or seasoning, unlike some other similar restaurants. Staff is always friendly and open to help/ answer questions. Korean BBQ is something you do for a good time, to talk and enjoy the company of the people with you, while interacting with your meal, so this isn’t the place to go if your looking to be served the whole time.
Japanese BBQ is always good when you come here with your buddies, especially during DineLA week! I made our reservations ahead of time on OpenTable and when I had to made a modification ... they were very helpful on adjusting the changes when I called in. The food were delicious and I was able to even use my check-in reward for the free edamame. My dineLA meal was the Miso Soup, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Premium Sirloin Steak, Filet Mignon, and Angus Beef Ribs, and since they ran out of ice cream .. they only had S'mores. The waiter was very attentive, polite and provided amazing customer service to us. We were able to find parking in the lot, they do have valet parking but you're better off just parking your own car.
Yo, this place was fire🔥, tried it out for first time with the family and friends. Gotta say my cousin peeped me up on game. I did not remember exact name of meets or soup i got, but believe me, it was delicious. Took lil left over home, gave it to mom. Next day she wanted to know more about the Ramen spicy soup i got. My nephew loved the bacon chips. I enjoyed the Duck meat i got, well the pieces i didnt burn. Lol.
wow love it, we enjoyed fresh food of high quality, no wating time and best thing is that self cooking opportunity, thats the best concept ever. You get fast your order and you can cook it at your table, to prepare it that way you want it to be ! 🫶🏽
I’ve been going to Gyu-Kaku for years and it’s always great tasting and a fun place for Japanese BBQ. I would recommend getting a reservation because they are always busy. Without a reservation you can expect over an hour wait. The package deals are always a go to. They usually have happy hour everyday from 5-7 or 9:30 till closing. They have fast service, great quality meats and fun drinks. The drinks are made of Saki, so they tend to be very sweet. I like how the package deal comes with miso soup, salad, rice, and a s’mores for dessert. A great place for a date, group of friends or family.
The "bad": The parking lot seems like it has a lot of spots, but it is a busy area and it was tough to park. Somewhat confusing pricing as there were 5 menus to look at. The great: The staff was excellent and patient, explained each special we asked about, didn't get frustrated with us. The food was fantastic, the whole experience was such a treat.
This location was great. Server was awesome. And the food was delicious. I would always recommend
We had dinner here and sat at the bar, where Kathy took care of us. She was absolutely wonderful — super friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we sat down. Her customer service really stood out and made our whole experience even better. It’s rare to get service that feels both professional and personal. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to sit at Kathy’s bar again!
While gyukaku is treated like Mcdonalds in Japan (and tastes horrible), gyukaku in the usa is more moderately priced and tastes better too! I hate how it's always so packed and the service is super slow (lunch is better, waiting wise). But other than that, for the money the food is great! Great for a get together w friends and family.
It's expensive, but it was soooo good! When making your reservation you need to be very clear about the time and number of people. They often get the two confused. Make sure to have them repeat back to you these details so that you can confirm. The food was amazing. It was so good. I will definitely be returning. The New York garlic steak is so damn good. The facilities were clean and well kept.
This location continues to be my favorite of all. I came in last week for their lunch AYCE and honestly, it exceeded expectations. The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed, and best of all - our server, Han, made the whole experience even better. He was attentive, kind, and just had a really easygoing vibe that made us feel welcome and taken care of. It’s rare to get service that genuinely sticks with you, but Han definitely left a lasting impression. I’ve been meaning to write this review all week, and I’m glad I finally got the chance. Can’t wait to come back soon!
OK fine 4 stars really but I bumped it up one because it's one of my personal fave places to grub. The good- Their happy hour is everyday during weekdays I believe until evening and later in the evenings on weekends. Happy hour everything is a bit less expensive, 1-8$ less depending on the overall price per item. The quality of the food here is a step up from most places and several steps up from all you can eat places of the same environment. Service has always been attentive and friendly, although not completely perfect. Over all fun and perfect for couples or large family parties, kid friendly too of course. The bad- at this particular location there is mandatory valet parking, 8$. They occasionally run out of items and will generally let you know but I have had the server bring me dishes with missing key ingredients because they ran out of something, but they failed to let me know before hand. I would like to mention however, they didn't charge me for these items after mentioning it. I've come alone and felt rushed. I get it, the table could be used for more people spending more money but still, as a dude with a pretty big appetite, I eat almost as much as a party of 2. The negative experiences were very few I want to say as I've been here probably close to 100 times and generally have fun and love the food. Definitely worth trying especially if you enjoy Korean BBQ style spots.
We went here as a group to celebrate three birthdays, mine, my sisters and her husbands. The servers were all very sweet and patient to help explain how it all works... The food was FABULOUS (We chose the Samurai package), and there ends up being SO MUCH!!!!! We all loved that we got to cook at our table, and pick what we wanted a taste of. We went on a Saturday, so it was busy, but didnt require a wait. It wasnt super crowded, but was nice and lively. The decor is nice, everything was clean and walkways were clear. We all enjoyed our first visit very much and will all love to go back....
Amazing food! The garlic noodles are my FAVORITE ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Every time I come here they play the best music… don’t know if it’s a different playlist now but bring back the cool music! Definitely still worth checking out.. the service is always exceptional and everyone seems to get along really well.
Delicious BBQ and a great experience. Definitely would return. The atmosphere was a little loud but it was still a fun vibe and not smoky like many other places where you grill your own meats. We went during happy hour on Tuesday night and saved a little on our meal.
Meat is always premium quality, I haven't been to Gyu-kaku for long time. The price is always high compared to the amount. But the quality is acceptable for the price!! It's worth it, but last night they were out of many items, they replaced us with the cucumber side dish for the beef sushi "comes with the set".
One of my favorite restaurants, I have lunch all you can eat on Monday. The server was very nice and helpful. The food was great. Everything was great except one thing, when order the meat it’s came too slow. I understand, I only see 3 chef working in the kitchen but too many server. I’m not sure why they put only 3 chef that’s the reason why the food kinda slow. But nothing else to complain about. I will come back anyway.
Came here on a Saturday evening during happy hour. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait by Gabby the hostess but when we said we were ok with a roundtable she quickly sat us. Jaime was our server and she was pleasant though she left us hanging towards the end of our dining experience and it was awkward asking for our bill and ordering another round of steaks. The bathrooms were clean and where we sat we were at an angle to see the back of the house and the floor looked relatively clean. We ended up building our dinner ala carte with the garlic noodles, beef bimbamp, bistro sirloin, hanger steak, and the shabu steak!
This branch of Gyu Kaku is pretty good in terms of food quality, service, and atmosphere. The wait can be long during peak hours and free parking near the restaurant can be challenging during the later hours of the day.
Had a really fun time here. Meat quality was good and our server was very attentive and brought stuff out to match our pace. Loved the smores and the end. Place was a little loud, but then again, it was a Friday evening and people were having fun.
We came here for a birthday lunch. We used to visit the Northridge location, but since that closed, we have been frequenting this location. We had a great lunch. As always, the food was fantastic. They were out of cucumbers today, so we ordered the spicy cabbage instead. This was a great alternative, and we will definitely be adding it to our rotation. I particularly enjoyed the bacon chips, the beef sukiyaki bibimbap, the Umakara ribeye, the Harami skirt steak, the pork belly, and the Bistro hanger steak. Our server, Alex, was excellent. She started off by letting us know what was not available and took our drink orders. Service was a little slow because they were missing some servers, but Alex was doing a great job of getting everyone their food. She kept apologizing, but we felt it was unnecessary because she was doing the best she could and we did not mind waiting a little. This location gets very busy during peak dining hours. Reservations are recommened. The parking lot gets very crowded, but they do offer valet parking.
Other then the parking being horrible, i suggest parking behind where in and out is then walking over! The food is always good and able to cook yourself to how you like it. Got the all you can eat which is a hell of a deal if you want to try and can eat it all. Service was low! Might have been new staff but all around the place is good
The food was good overall, but my mom said it's small servings. Look at the photos attached and be the judge. Some meats were tastier than others, but overall, the meats were tender. The soup was very tasty like the salad, and the lunch special is a good price, for sure. The service was slow in parts of the meal when they got very busy at the height of lunch, around 1 p.m. on a weekday, so I would even suggest a reservation would be best if coming on a weekend or the evening, just to make sure that you are seated right away. I would go back to Gyu Kaku if I'm in the area.
The choices for meat isnt as plenty as to ayce restaurants but with line-up like filet mignon, rib eye and angus you cant go wrong. You really need to book early as it gets really crowded. Parking is a bit hard if you're going to park near the restaurant but they have valet. The servers are really attentive and very newbie-friendly. Try their mochi ice-cream!
Came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and was super excited but left disappointment. Leaving it at 4 stars because Jonathan helped us with our first order and then Nico and Mathew were the ones that helped to make sure we were served in between their assigned tables and made sure our night didn’t become a horrible memory because of our main server. The main server was a short dark hair girl that had long styled nails. Wasn’t really around long enough to get her name. We were never served water or any drinks.. even got our main dishes before we got any miso and rice until we asked for them. We asked for our grill to be changed but felt like we had to wait until the grill became all black before we were desperate enough to wave another server (Nico) down to help us. Same goes for the matcha tiramisu parfait with strawberries, which actually made me sick all night. Not sure why we were assigned to her because it didn’t seem like she gave any of her customers near us and us the adequate service. Food I recommend: - gyukaku salad - Value meal combo (great for 2-3) - Bibimbap rice I don’t recommend: - matcha tiramisu parfait with strawberry - Arnold Palmer (it tasted weird like it was expired..) Bathroom is somewhat clean and is easy to find. They have 1 smaller stall and one larger stall that might be able to accommodate a wheelchair user. Good for group, couples and kids. (Came here before for corporate lunch)
I’ve been when it’s slow, I’ve been there when it’s busy and the service is equally as bad. Some waiters are rude and seem overworked. We did have a good experience with a Latino waiter named Juan, he was great. For the others, including the hostess, no comment. The manager also really needs to learn how to order for a restaurant. They are always out of things at this location, twice they have been out of spicy cabbage and most recently spicy cabbage, garlic mushroom, AND gyoza. I’ve never had that problem at other locations. I figure everyone is just tired and overworked. I can’t believe they are open all holidays, as a company that’s evil.
My daughter loves this place and the food is pretty good. Her favorite are the egg rolls and the steamed chili dumplings with a side of white rice. I like the spicy shrimp and umakara ribeye. I suggest making a reservation because this place is always busy and without a reservation you will be waiting at least an hour if not longer. Now on to why I only rated this place a 3. It’s because they allowed a non service dog in the establishment the last 2 times I’ve been there. It’s so unsanitary to have animals around where we cook and eat our food. Also the dog on my last visit was barking a majority of the time which was annoying. Since it seems ppl don’t have any common sense or common courtesy anymore I expect these restaurants and their employees to set the standards and stop allowing this to happen.
Our waiter took a while to come to us, he wasn't particularly friendly and worse yet didn't say thank you when he was tipped 15%! Even though his service sucked, I still tipped him note to self, next time a service isn't up to par do not tip. Anyhooo the food was OK though I think the meat could have had more sauce on it. I don't like adding condiments after food is cooked. We were there for lunch so price was worth it.
Unfortunately my experience at this place was not that great. There was potential but it didn't turn out what we expected. So I decided to dine inside and see how it is during this pandemic. The waiter at first was very friendly, took our orders, and had a funny sense of humor. Right after they served us drinks, the mood changed completely. The waiter wasn't catering to us. They kept forgetting our orders, we kept asking for things, we would wait for someone to appear near our table to get service, and they never refilled our waters. The food was great however the service at this place was very disappointing.
The food here is yummy, and the restaurant was clean. However, the staff wasn't super friendly and rarely came back to the table. We ordered the 90 minute all you can eat package, and it took 23 mins to get out to get 2 out of the 14 we ordered at once. I'm not sure why it took so long to put 2 oz of meat on a small plate...well I do know why it takes so long (because that means you eat less) but it is still frustrating! The service needs vast improvement
A friend has been trying to get us here for 3 years and we finally made it happen. Compared to other AYCE type places, Gyu-Kaku is more expensive. Therefore the expectation is the food would blow us away. Some items did just that, but those were the minority. That alone would have merited 4 stars, but our service was very poor. The gentleman was nice, but all night long things were forgotten. Napkins, rice, refills, sauces, etc. Required multiple reminders and sometimes took 20 mins to arrive. Truth is, I was expecting more.
Ok. So upon entering the vibes were there. The hostess was super nice and said I look amazing lol. The menu is also great and there are so many options to choose from. From Premium to Ultimate…to Supreme…you choose which package you want, with the $70 one (80 items) having the most options to choose from. That’s for the all-you-can-eat. There was a 30-40 minute wait, but I was fine with that, as they were super busy and I was excited about eating. My waitress was also very nice and accommodating. I must say though…the food wasn’t what I expected it to be. But I think it may be because I’d gone on a very busy day. As each item was brought out, I realized that there wasn’t much flavor, yet each item was salty. I don’t know…I just can’t say that I loved anything. BUT again, my waitress was great and the two that came after her once her shift ended were also amazing. And what WAS really good was the green tea ice cream. Loved it. This was my first time trying Gyu-Kaku. There is street parking, as well as parking right inside the restaurant plaza. So…that’s my experience. But hey…could’ve just been the day.
The ambiance is horrible. There is no music but the cooks in the back had their own music blasting with the kitchen door wide open. You can tell the staff is under paid and under experienced.
Food exceptional!!! Super fun atmosphere too. Tonight’s service however was horrible. We had to track down our waitress (which took a good 5-10min each time) to get our rice, fill our water, order more food and get our check. She came by maybe twice to check on us (not counting the times we tracked her down). She seemed completely lost - almost like a Sim (from the game) just wandering around. After we finished eating we sat for 15 min before we could flag her down to get the check. I get people can have a bad day, and we really weren’t in a rush, just felt pretty neglected and ignored. Was super happy that there were a significant amount of Gluten Free options!!! I’ll go back but won’t have that waitress again.
We were at the Sherman Oaks location. The host told us about a 35min wait, the place had many open tables, she said reservations but those tables were not sat until much later. We could have eaten & left & those tables would have been ready for the next guest (I worked in hospitality for 20 yrs). Once sat our server seemed nice. We ordered right away. Our soup was brought out quickly, but maybe a minute later our meat started to come but not everything & not our rice. They also neglected to tell us the cook times for any of the foods, we tried to get someone but it was like we were invisible. Then they switched our waiter on us. My drink didn't get to the table until mid meal. No one checked on us most of the time. We asked for to go boxes only got 1, they tried to clear the food we wanted to take home. The only thing they were efficient at was taking the money for the bill. I've been to other locations but I was unimpressed with this one. It did get crowded when we were leaving but it definitely felt l like they could not be bothered with us. The food was good, and we enjoyed the experience but the staff is horrible.
Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with Gyu Kaku. I've loved "Japanese BBQ" in Japan and for years wanted to come here. I finally did and probably won't be back. Service was fantastic, wait staff was super kind and friendly and attentive for our group even when we were the last table to leave. Most of the side dishes are kinda pointless and some weird. Hard boiled eggs in the salad? You don't even see that in Japan. The "cheese corn butter" hardly had any cheese and was a watery mess. Dumplings as basic as they could be, Edamame was decent and the beef sushi was great. Bibimbap was actually pretty good with the crispy rice bottom from the bowl. As for the meats, they were all pretty bland and just molded together. Unlike KBBQ where I feel like you get more prominent flavor profiles, here, all the meats just seemed bland, boring, and very very similar to one another, nothing really stood out from the other. And smore's for dessert? Really? How Americanized can this place be?
Worst experience for a first timer, Erica not only didn’t bring out entire order out but had to ask someone else to bring out our check after waiting for the remaining order to be brought out. We had to be checked out by a cleaning person instead of the actual services (ERICA) . I would give 0 stars ⭐️ for the POOR SERVICE PROVIDED . Never coming here again! After a hour + very unsatisfied!
We wanted to try the restaurant for a long time because the reviews were promising, however were really disappointed in the service. Although we walked in without a reservation, the place was 3/4 empty. After 2 of the waitresses acknowledging us being there but not seating us, we were waiting for almost 10 minutes to actually have someone look for a table for us and then being said to wait another 15 minutes to be seated (again the place was 3/4 empty).
My boyfriend and I went To guy-kaku in Sherman Oaks yesterday. When we walked in I asked For a table for 2 the guy said it was an hour wait. We said ok and we waited. We waited for over way over an hour. Once the hour mark was up I asked the guy how much longer he said we only had two parties left in front of us I said Ok thank you so we continued to wait 4 parties were seated and still we were not once we got to an hour 40 minutes I aksed Again and he said there are no tables available and there were. I mentioned to him he said an hour wait and it’s been way past that. And I also Mentioned he has seated people is when we had been here longer. His response was they had reservations. That wasn’t all correct. Some people I spoke that were waiting with us said they didn’t have reservation and were walk ins like us that came after us for seated before we were even though of. At the end my boyfriend and I walked out do restaurant because we knew we just weren’t going to get seated. The guy was responsible for seating was-rude and had no manners at all. Worst experience ever and we didn’t even get to have dinner. We got there a little before 8pm and walked out a little after 10pm. As a highly respected restaurant this should never occur!
I recently visited gyu kaku Restaurant, and while the service was excellent, the food left much to be desired. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not match the service. Dishes were underwhelming, lacking flavor and freshness, which was disappointing given the potential of the menu.
We came in to an unorganized mess. Greeted coldly, We were told we’d have a 40 min wait. We grabbed a pitcher at the bar and waited. After waiting an hour to be sat we waited an extra 20 min for our server to greet us. We had sat for an hour looking at an empty table that we where eventually sat at. We had arrived well before happy hour ended but did not receive happy hour prices. The service was sub par. The servings where happy hour servings but not for happy hour prices, and the food was sub par. We’re beyond disappointed in our visit. Would not recommend to anyone especially when there are far better Japanese BBQs close by.
We walked into a nearly empty restaurant for lunch and were made to wait for a table. Once seated I noticed a very large exposed piece of MDF near the grill. When MDF is exposed it cannot be properly cleaned and harbor bacteria. At a restaurant that serves raw meat directly to table I knew it was compromised. MDF, for those who don’t know, is typically made up of 82% wood fibre, 9% urea-FORMALDEHYDE resin glue. This all presented itself to an immediate danger to myself and my party. I waited an extended period of time for the wait staff to check in with us with no avail so I went back to the check stand to ask to be moved. When I asked the wait staff to move to a different table I was met with a scoff like it was a non issue. I pressed and we got a new table. When sat there was no service and were made to wait yet again before anyone came to help us so we left. Overall the restaurant looks nice at a distance but up close is a dirty dangerous mess. PS the only designated parking for the restaurant is valet so they nickel and dime through and through for a place that is not designated AYCE.
I have been going here for years but this new manager they have (Mathew) the worst ever seen or heard, after moving us around for few times he told me he will not serve food if we don’t move again for the 3rd time.
The portions of meat are shockingly small, almost paper-thin, and arrive after a long wait. Overall, the service is extremely slow. Even when your table is piled with empty dishes, the staff won’t check in unless you actively wave someone down. The grill barely works, so even the tiny, transparent slices of meat take forever to cook.
Ordered online, they hadn’t checked online orders so my partner had to ask. This was even after waiting 10 minutes after food was estimated to be ready. I don’t recommend food to go. Paid $50 for very little meat and chicken, and this “noodle” looks and tastes more like pasta. We paid extra for special meat and the price is not justified.
