Had such a great experience at On The Border thanks to our server, Brayden! He was seriously awesome, super friendly, funny, and just on top of everything the whole time. Our drinks never went empty, he made sure to check in on us pretty often and make sure there was nothing else we needed, and his food recommendations were spot on. It’s rare to get service at a restaurant that actually leaves a lasting impression on you but Brayden definitely deserves a good review. If you go, definitely ask for him

Hanna S is one of the top 5 servers we have EVER had. She makes our visit comforting and always is happy. She is very pleasant and any questions we have she is right on point. We came to OTB because we were just passing it and never tried out. Food was delicious and drinks were quick to come out with fast refills. Caroline was such an amazing server and gave out so much positivity. I’ll definitely be coming back but with more people!

Brayden and Halle are amazing Servers!! My family and I go to On the Border often and request to sit in Brayden or Halle’s section every time they are working. They always make sure our drinks, chips, and salsa are full. They also always take time to make the experience more personable and always create small talk! You can really tell these 2 servers love what they do and it’s more than just being a server for them!! Whether it’s Brayden or Halle you have serving you, it will be a great experience no matter what.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience dining here! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Our server, Brayden, went above and beyond — friendly, attentive, and professional the entire time. He made great recommendations and made sure we always had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The managers, Arnie and Chase, were also fantastic. They both checked in to make sure everything was perfect and genuinely cared that we were having a great experience. You can tell they take real pride in what they do and in the atmosphere they’ve built here. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the overall vibe was welcoming and well-run. It’s rare to see a team work so smoothly together, but Brayden, Arnie, and Chase made it look effortless. I’ll definitely be back — and I’ll be recommending this place to everyone I know!

Had a great experience at our local on the border! I loved our server Halle as she did an amazing job taking care of our whole family and really made the experience for us. She did great recommending different food choices and drinks for us to try and she did not miss a beat! Will definitely be returning for those margaritas and hopefully can have Halle serve us again!

I placed an online order not knowing on the borders whole menu had changed to Papasitos. I saw nothing online stating the change. We bought the southwest chicken tacos and they had totally changed the recipe, which was very deceiving because online it gives you the option to remove fried onion rings still so so I assumed it was the same taco. There were huge chunks of grilled onion in it and two big pieces of chicken and a ton of pico. The taco totally changed but they kept the name of it, I thought I had ordered the wrong thing. Also I ordered a pint of salsa not knowing it had changed to papasitos salsa. I loved OTB’s salsa and queso so I’m very sad about this change. I gave 4 stars bc I’m willing to give Papasitos a chance. I wish they would keep both OTB and Papasitos salsa. The OTB one was spicier which I liked.

All their food has all the same spices. It's on the beans. Rice, Hot sauce & it all taste the same. I don't like the flavor of that spice. Leave it off and you would receive 5 stars. You just don't want everything to taste the same.

Since Pappas has purchased On The Border the ground beef is so spicy it burns my mouth. The Pork Carnitas are flavorless. The Corn Tortillas have no taste, hard and mostly flour. The salsa is so spicy I cannot eat it. I have tried to eat there 4 times since the take over by Pappas and each time has been a terrible food experience. No way that I'm going back nor taking my family, especially kids there.

This OTB was the first and probably the last time I will order something to go. I ordered the primo queso, which comes with taco beef, sour cream, and quac. Which the worker who took my to go order over the phone didn't know. I also asked for an extra salsa(both are small🙄). And they charged me for both of them and I asked for one extra bag of chips..which usually is suppose to come with it for free 🙄). I get there and I called to let them know I am here and to bring me my order. Or so I thought. I called and the worker put me on hold for 3 minutes. I hung up and went in. I waited at the to go cash register. There was 4 white female workers who saw standing there waiting to pay for and get my order. They just went on talking and ignored me. And a white male worker saw me and came over. He was good and cool. The price he rung up was not the same price on the website menu and what the lady who took my call said. Which says it's $9.99(which is too expensive but it is what it is 🤬😳). I get the price he said $18 dollars and something cents. I was like what? Huh? Are you serious? I couldn't believe it. And he gave me what is written on the receipt, 1st reso discount(whatever that means) which brought the amount to $12.23. I still wasn't happy about the price. I went on and paid for it because I haven't eaten at OTB for 3 years. Igot my food and left. I looked at my receipt and I was charged $11.98 for the Primo Bowl Queso. And I was also charged $4.98 for 2 chips and salsa which I only ask for 1 extra salsa and bag of chips to go. I have never been charged for salsa when I went to the OTB restaurant on the Southwest side of Fort Worth, TX. On Bryant Irvin and Overton Ridge. 8 didn't have a good experience. I will not go back ever

I used to LOVE On the Border. Good Tex-mex with great salsa and queso. Now that theyve been bought out, they seem to have changed everything! They’ve change to warm, fire roasted salsa and cheap, thin chips. The queso tasted different, and my favorite meal did NOT taste the same at all. Didn't know that papasitos owned and operated OTB. Unhappy knowledge to say the least. Chips razor thin, cheese dip bland, salsa not as good as OTB. ALL CHANGE IS NOT GOOD CHANGE. Don't know why they had to mess with the best thing about OTB. OHĤ and don't look for another staple with the fajitas NO FREAKIN GREEN PEPPERS. I was soooooo Unhappy 🙁 spending 47.00. HEll No to the TIP. Best TIP DON'T MESS WITH WHAT'S WORTH THE PRICE .

We’re from Houston and we were in Burleson for a wedding. We’ve been to On the Border in Houston many times with no problem. This was the worst tasting “tex mex” I’ve ever had! Taco Bell has this place beat x10! The food looks like it was taken out of a freezer and put in the microwave. We had 6 adults and the bill came out to $178!!! Don’t even bother going here!

I can't believe y'all changed the food just because you were bought out. You don't need to change your signature queso and salsa just because you were bought by Papasitos. Papasitos does not taste good at all. I've only eaten there once and never went back because it was awful. Therefore, now your food does not taste good. Salsa has changed, queso changed, chips changed and even the ground beef has changed. The beef empanadas didn't taste good anymore. I was only able to eat one. I was a repeat customer, but not anymore. Until you change it back, I won't be back. Service was excellent though. What a shame. I know you claim the change was meant to be an improvement, but I hope you understand that it is definitely not! This will set you back. Why can't you keep the same recipes and food? Doesn't make sense.
