The restaurant was clean and well maintained. Our waiter Dave was friendly, helpful and checked in on us. The fajita bowl I ordered was good, but could have been better with a little more food and an extra tortilla. Then my friend let me try the Lah-Bomba burger and that was great! Overall, I would go back.
Cheese dip and margaritas were a nice start. We ordered several meals, including the appetizer sampler platter, street tacos, soup, combo platters, and it ended with three soft serve ice cream. The wait outside was nice nice music plenty of seating and not a very long. Wait you could also sit at the bar if you preferred nice option for a nice dinner.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the very first time, and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I immediately felt welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, greeting me with genuine smiles and ensuring I was comfortable from start to finish. The service was truly wonderful — prompt, professional, and incredibly attentive without ever feeling rushed or overbearing. It’s rare to find a place where the staff not only provides excellent service but also makes you feel valued and appreciated as a guest. What impressed me even more was the phenomenal management. It was clear that the team works together seamlessly under strong, caring leadership. The managers were visible, checking in with guests to make sure everyone was satisfied, and you could tell they take pride in running a top-quality establishment. The organization, attention to detail, and positive energy from the entire staff made the whole dining experience feel smooth and enjoyable. It’s not every day that you encounter a restaurant where both the service and management shine so brightly. This visit left such a lasting impression on me, and I can confidently say I’ll be returning soon and recommending it to friends and family. Thank you Gringos Spring Tx. Update: We've gone back 4x since my original review. And they never miss. Do yourself a favor and reward your pallette. Go visit!! Exceptionally good food with top notch service. One of the managers initially helped me. And I regret that I didn't catch his name because his CS skills were superior. As a matter of fact, I encountered multiple employees and all were professional and friendly. I'll be back!
The flavors were really good along with the service. I wish they didn't use Chicken broth in their rice. Prices were a little high but flavors justified the cost.
We had the absolute best experience at Gringo’s in Spring, and it was all thanks to our incredible server, Aasheeta! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She anticipated everything we needed before we even had to ask and made us feel completely taken care of. Her recommendations were spot on, from drinks to entrées, and she made the whole evening feel extra special with her upbeat energy and genuine kindness. Even when the restaurant got busy, she never missed a beat and always had a smile on her face. Aasheeta turned a great meal into a truly memorable night. She’s an absolute gem, and Gringo’s is lucky to have her! We’ll definitely be back and we’ll be requesting her by name.
Shrimp empanadas were very tasty but pretty small with little filling. They did throw in some chips and verde dip. Overall would be back to dine in!
The new limited time Frito pie Enchiladas are awesome, and our waitress Aasheeta was even better. Cups never empty, rare was the bottom of a salsa dip, and had good recommendations with the bar for the Agave-disenclined. :-)
Big ups to the cuties Destiny, Diana, & Elle. They were kind, fun, helpful, & thoughtful to me on Monday. It was my first time dining in & it was definitely a great experience. We giggled, laughed, talked, & they really just showed kindness, which us EXTREMELY RARE in this city. Houston is god awful. 🙌🏼 my server Coral was very sweet, excellent service, understood my food allergy, came by & made sure he understood exactly what the allergy was & how it affects me. He seems a bit nervous but he did a great job. The food came out in timely manner, the queso is delicious, the chips & salsa is so good especially the green sauce, & the beef enchiladas were very good. I loved the front Cadillac margarita. It's a bit strong in taste due to the tequila but it's relaxing 4 sure. ❤️. What I liked the most is when I expressed go Coral that I'm a laid back guest, don't need much attention, he respected that, & still was attentive. I eat slow so don't wanna stress my server. Overall it was really fun, great experience, & I'll def say hi to the girls & request Coral again. Ty so much guys. The double rice was so light & delicious.
I had the Soldier plate, which gives back to ptsd foundation... the tamales 🫔 enchiladas, steak taco, rice and beans with guacamole and salad all under $20! Atmosphere was good and the waitress was really attentive! Even as a late group of 7 on mother's day. Free self-serve ice cream cones...1st time here and I definitely recommend! Get on the wait list on the website first!
Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen is my favorite place for TexMex food. The beef skirt steak fajitas are the best in the business. Our latest visit was over the top. This was our first visit that was not during a lunch or dinner time, so it wasn’t crowded. I had the fajitas and my wife had the BangBang shrimp tacos and both were great. Service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. I’m adding pictures, so please look at the Fajitas, they are perfect!
Our food was delicious. Everything was very fresh and the portion sizes were great. Our server was Nisha and she was friendly, helpful and attentive. The entire experience was perfect. We tried the fried avocado appetizer and it was amazing. Eaten here multiple times and everything is always great.
Outstanding customer service. The food was great. Their chips are really good and their salsas pack a lot of great flavor. If it’s the evening, Alex is a great server. For lunch you don’t want to miss out on having Angela serve you. Gringos can get packed pretty quick. I would call to put your name in line just in case. Don’t forget your free ice cream cone.

Soo yummy! There is free self serve ice cream. It was crowded with a wait, so we sat at the bar, which we regret. The Amazon sauce is delicious!

My wife found Gringo’s while looking for something close to my mom. It was Mother’s Day so it was busy, but the staff was handling it well. The food is about what you would expect from any chain Mexican food. Not bad but nothing really stuck out as excellent. I tried this place while visiting from California and it was just ok . I ordered a burrito and asked the waitress if it was good size because I have a hearty appetite , she replied " oh yes ! " . When I got my order I thought I had received an enchilada on accident because the burrito was so small and served with sauce and cheese over it that was not mentioned on the menu . In disbelief, disappointed, and disgusted that unfortunately this happened all in one sitting. Roaches & 🐀rat/Possums during my dinner with my family. There was a 🪳roach inside by my table while I was eating my meal & a possum right at the door when I walked out and scared the living hell out of me! 😞 This was one of my fav places to go! I recently placed a pickup order from Gringo’s - Spring on 9/27 approximately at 7PM, looking forward to enjoying a meal from a restaurant we often visit. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple and pleasant experience took a concerning turn. Upon opening my order at home, I discovered a safety pin inside the food. Understandably alarmed, I drove back to the restaurant immediately to report the issue. However, what was even more unsettling than the object itself was the way the situation was handled. When I spoke with the manager, there was no acknowledgment of the seriousness of the incident, no apology, and no sense of ownership or concern. It was treated as if this were a routine complaint rather than a genuine safety hazard. While I understand that mistakes can happen in any kitchen, how an establishment responds to those mistakes speaks volumes about its values and professionalism. In this case, the lack of accountability and empathy was deeply disappointing. This review is not written out of frustration alone, but out of a sincere hope that the restaurant will take food safety — and customer communication — more seriously in the future. Incidents like this deserve to be met with both urgency and understanding.
We ordered the family meal that said it would feed 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids) it was not enough food at all. We each had a taco. All the extras were great and sufficient but very small portion of food for the price. 90+ dollars for one taco each not worth it. First picture is the advertisement and second is what we got.... it's the size of a lunch container.
