This place is a must if you are looking for authentic Thai food. Highly recommend trying the Spring Sampler. The portions are large enough to share. Thank you Jesus (Daniel) for taking great care of us!
Awesome find! In the area thought we would try. So glad we did! Food was spectacular! The dumplings were the best! Full of flavor! Highly recommend garlic and pepper shrimp Thai spice and dumplings. We live approximately 50 miles away. Worth the drive for Thai food.
Delicious Thai food!!! Yes, some dishes are Americanized and I love them just as much as the more authentic dishes. Friendly staff and usually pretty fast and attentive! The setting is nice. There's a similar location in The Woodlands in Research Forest that is a bit nicer, Charm That Kitchen and Bar, but this one is closer to work. I love them both. Def recommend, especially for the lunch specials!!!
Just had lunch here for the first time, after my friend said this was her family's Thai spot. I'm pretty faithful to my own Thai spot, so even though I trust my friend's judgement, I had a hard time thinking I'd enjoy it more than my tried and true spot, but I was happily blown away. The massaman curry was one of the best I've ever had, and certainly earns the most points for presentation (how gorgeous is that dish?!). I'm always convinced a stunning, ornate dish makes the food taste better, more authentic even. Everyone's food smelled delicious and looked even better. I'd be more inclined to trying other menu items for my next visit, because I will absolutely be back.
My first authentic Thai establishment has definitely set the bar. I happened to visit on a Saturday evening with only one table occupied. Do not let that be the determining factor of their food quality. I forgot my servers name, but he was extremely nice.(Male, face piercing on the right side w/a ponytail) I was comfortable explaining my uncertainties and dislike for spicy foods without feeling rushed nor judged. He did an awesome job providing explanations on the taste, Spice levels and comparison items. The portion sizes are reasonable as I was unable to finish my delicious Khao Soi. This dish has been on my mind ever since this day. I thought about it during church service the next day and rushed home to eat my leftovers. I attempted to grab some for lunch at a different place near my job on Monday and it DID NOT COMPARE. I am happy to recommend bc this place is truly a hidden gem. Oh, there's wine a set menu of alcoholic beverages but not a full bar if that matters. The food and Thai Tea is all I need.
Charm Thai Bistro absolutely lived up to its name pure charm from start to finish. The Tom Yum soup came out piping hot in a traditional pot, rich in flavor with just the right amount of spice and tang. The vegetables were fresh, vibrant, and perfectly cooked, paired beautifully with the jasmine rice and crispy wonton. Everything tasted authentic and full of depth. Service was fast, friendly, and on point. If you’re craving real Thai comfort food in a clean, inviting setting, this place delivers.
Drinks were good and quality for the price. The food was DELICIOUS! The server was personable and checked in on us. Very polite and friendly. The cook came and also checked on us. It was close to closing time and we did not feel rushed or pressured. We were treated with the same service and and quality as if we were the first customer of the day. Clean, easy location. Reasonably priced.
I went here for lunch with my mother and it was a very pleasant experience! The waitress was so friendly and attentive. I didn’t catch her name, but we enjoyed her very much!! I ordered the L.4 (Chicken with Peanut Sauce) with a spice level of 2, and oh my gosh, so good!! The spice didn’t kill me either, normally it’s a bit too spicy for me but it just left a tingle in my lips 💖 Will return here again, very reasonably priced!! Thai tea and spring rolls were also very tasty.
Great experience. It was my first time and I did takeout but that fried fish was something special! The dipping sauce that came with it was something good. 🤌🏾 The spring rolls were bomb! This was the evening time when I ordered but it was still quick to get food. I will definitely come back. Love Thai food!
I had been eating dine in and take out at Charm Thai Bistro for few years never wrote the review before. I'm Thai, of course I love Thai food and I approve of the taste. It is authentic. The restaurant is very nice and clean. The service is great and the price is reasonable. When you order you can request your spice level and real Thai taste. I recommend this place!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently found ourselves without power in Houston following a hurricane, and in our search for food, someone mentioned that Chick-fil-A was open. When we arrived, the line stretched for miles. Across the street, we spotted Charm Thai Bistro and decided to give it a try, albeit with some skepticism. In Houston, it's often believed that if a restaurant isn't packed, the food might not be great. Upon entering, we noticed framed magazine mentions featuring the owner/chef on the wall, which gave us some hope. The waitress and greeter were very friendly, and we were seated promptly. The menu looked promising, and when our food arrived, we were absolutely amazed. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were outstanding. Charm Thai Bistro exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely be visiting again soon! Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious Thai food in Houston.
A good Thai place in the Spring area! I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of food choices here, and the different tastes that it had. We got wings, Pad See Ew, and the Catfish dish. I definitely would recommend the wings to try at least once and the catfish dish, which was not what we were expecting, but was delicious the whole way through. It is worth the price and the quality of service is great!
Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. We have a lot of Thai expats and work and they frequent here. We went one day and it was jam packed but we had a nice booth. We were seated quickly and they took out order shortly after. This is a nice, clean place, maybe a tad on the fusion side but the food looks solid. Portions vary from small to normal. The thing I liked was that they have Khao Soi which is a less common Northern Thai dish. It was really delicious and hit the spot. I did not get a chance to try Thai Tea or mango sticky rice. Next time. I usually get Pad See Ewe, Pad Thai, or Pad Kee Mao at Thai restaurants. Will have to try here and compare. Will be back.
We had dinner with a group of seven. The restaurant was not crowded, and it has a beautiful atmosphere. The food was delicious—we ordered Kua Gai, Pad Thai, Crab Fried Rice, Pineapple Fried Rice, Spicy Basil Fried Rice, a catfish dish, and Thai tea. Portions were generous, with one dish easily enough for two people. The only downside was customer service. The server was a bit rude at first, but her attitude improved later.
Good but not amazing Thai place. The Pad Thai with chicken and beef was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The wings really disappointed me. There just wasn’t enough sauce and they were a little dry I thought. All in all it definitely works in a pinch, but I wouldn’t go there regularly. Some kind strangers paid for my meal which made my day! But I think it would have been around $30 if they had not.
I have been coming to this charming little place since the first year they open, mostly for lunch. Parking is plenty The place is clean and well decorated. The staff were helpful and polite. However, they appeared to be over extended, short staff at times. The menu selection is nice, with good variety for a Thai place. The dishes are delicious and tasty. Some are with authentic ingredients. This is not a typical americanized Thai food. I have not been there for a while now, hope their service has improved. Recommend the curry dishes and Yum Nur. But all the dishes I have tried all taste good. I would recommend this place to a friend.
Food quality is good and it has a lot of flavor. They did not put my order in correctly (ordered chicken curry and it had no chicken in it). Waitress didn’t come by to ask about our food. I had to go to the desk to let them know that my order was wrong. They took 20 minutes to get a replacement. My party was finished eating before I got my food, so I had to ask for it to go. Received no discount or compensation for the inconvenience.
The food was very tasty and service was friendly. The only complaint is that they did not disclose automatic gratuity on the door, inside the restaurant, or on the menus as required by law. The server did not state this as well prior to dining or ordering. I think that this was racially motivated. My total was $80 and $13 in automatic gratuity. It was 3 adults and 3 kids. My friend also included in the 3 adults paid $8 or so in automatic gratuities. This felt like tip watching versus a genuine policy. A courteous professional non biased restaurant would have disclosed this and not felt like because of a person's race a person wouldn't tip or just add something to someone's bill because one feels like it. Whatever is done unto others will be done unto them.
Ordered through business phone number. My husband and I used loved this place. Unfortunately, after receiving our order, our go-to entrees have lost their “Charm”. Usually get the Garlic and Pepper with a choice of protein…The chicken was bland/dry and turned to mush with the broth. It tasted as if it was pre-cooked shredded chicken.. after just a few bites, it made my stomach so upset, I couldn’t take another bite. Very disappointing…
Did takeout on Uber. Photos looked nothing like dine in. Pad Thai had almost zero sauce. All I taste is pepper. Almost no peanuts. Terrible and if I was there in person I would’ve asked for a refund. They had the nerve to charge $25 before all the delivery charges and tip. $45 for the most mediocre Pad Thai I’ve ever ate. If you’re getting take out, don’t let this place deceive you.
