This place is great since being remodeled! There is a lot of room if you want to sit at the bar, at a table, next to the glass wall by the ocean, on one of their many sofas, and at night, everything it lit up by fire pits and torches spread out over the area. The atmosphere here is very difficult to beat!

The service and food was amazing!!!!!! Medi and Mical were vey friendly and fast! Would highly recommend 5 star for sure

Wonderful breakfast with a fantastic view. Adesha was a gem! Very attentive with a great smile, such a sweetheart. This place is on the beach so drinks are readily available while you enjoy the sun and water. Went there throughout the week and it was very consistant. Their grits are amazing!

Great service, delicious food and the view is amazing! Outdoor seating was perfect for lunch. We had the tacos and painkillers to drink. Definitely recommend.

Went with my wife while the in laws watched our kids. Fantastic drink and great meal! Will definitely go back when we visit next time.

Servers are very friendly and helpful. The location is just gorgeous, free shuttle from the Westin if you're staying up the hill. A ton of beach chairs and umbrellas to go around.

I had an exceptional experience at salt shack thanks to the bartender Alexis. She was amazing not only making the most incredible specialty cocktail but went above and beyond in every way. You can tell how much she cared about her guests and made sure my meal and drink was exactly as I wanted. 10/10 and excited to go back (hopefully Alexis will be bartending).

The food was delicious and the view was amazing. My family and I want to thank General Manager Alyssa, who was so warm and welcoming. She made us feel truly appreciated with her kindness and gratitude and she also recommended restaurants for us to try out back home in NYC. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return!

I had a wonderful time at Salt Shack… So nice I dined there twice! If you can, find Medi he took such good care of us and helped us get around the area. Definitely a must for dinner! If there were 6 stars I would…

My friend and I had lunch at the Salt Shack today and it was a really great experience. Ty'elle, the bartender and server, was exceptional. She made fabulous bloody marys but she was also extremely friendly and wonderful. I wish I could adopt her! And then there was Medi, another special guy, the manager. If you can visit this place in paradise, you will not be disappointed!

The food and the atmosphere was good it’s right on the beach if you ever get the chance visit ask for Shany the waitress she is one of the best waitress we had really great service

As a St Thomas local, I didn't visit Salt Shack until recently. Now I enjoy taking my husband, guests and local girlfriends. It's a beautiful ocean-front location, open air with lovely breezes. I happen to have the same server, Shibone for all of my visits and she's great! Thank you Shibone!

We were sat right by the water. Myrtle was our server and she was amazing. So friendly. Loved the crab cakes and short ribs. I would highly reccomend Sugar Fin and Myrtle.

Had dinner one night and had such a good experience with everything we came back the next night for round 2, and it was just as good. The first night Mia made us wonderful drinks with exciting flavors and the second night Nixon was happily interactive with our dinning experience. All in all, we will be back again.

Food and service fantastic. Shout out to Chara and Belynda for world class service which is hard to find nowadays. We had salmon fried rice. My husband on a strict diet and Chara made it happen. Ambience on the beach delicious highly recommend

The quality of the ingredients and the care in preparation were evident in every bite. Customer Service: The customer service at Salt Shack is generally good. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that diners have a pleasant experience. My food and drinks were served promptly, and the staff were accommodating and polite throughout my visit. Bar Experience: While I enjoyed sitting at the bar, there was one issue that detracted from the experience. The waitresses were talking too loudly, which became quite distracting and disturbed the otherwise tranquil atmosphere. It would be beneficial for the staff to be more mindful of their volume, especially in an open setting like the bar. Conclusion: Salt Shack in St. Thomas is a fantastic choice for those looking to enjoy good food with breathtaking beach views. The overall quality of the food and the friendly service make it a worthwhile visit. However, I hope the staff can improve by maintaining a quieter and more relaxing ambiance at the bar. Despite this minor drawback, I would still recommend Salt Shack for a delightful dining experience by the ocean.

The venue is great, so was the staff. Though the food was good, the menu was limited. We will go back next year mostly because we like the venue.

Great food and drinks. The service was also steller. The only problem is we were consistently getting the scent of raw sewage. I'm sure this was no fault of the establishment but ultimately still pretty gross. A bit of a doo doo deal breaker.

Ate breakfast and dinner here a few times on our trip. Dinner vibes were much better, as breakfast was rushed and a few of the older waitresses would lose some of their patience with the folks coming in to dine.

Of the various dining establishments on the Westin/ buoy haus property, this one by far had the best food. The desserts were outstanding. Service, like much of the hotel, is on island time so be patient. Our orders were not always correct and the bar drinks were just okay. But no better spot to have dinner or drinks while watching a sunset!

We live on St Thomas half the year and are used to the stunning water views, but this place was still charming to us, right on the water. The décor was impressive and well done. It's a cool place to be. The hostess seated us politely and quickly without a reservation or any of the attitude we find so often on the island. The waitress came over quickly and was warm and humorous. We got enough attention throughout our meal. We had been on a mission to get burgers, and the burgers and fries were fine. I did run out of burger before bun. We will come back and bring friends for a casual night in a cool atmosphere.

Listen I only gave four stars due to the simple fact that you have to be a billionaire to have a meal here. Not that I'm a cheap guy the salad was great the sandwich was decent the atmosphere was off the chain and the service was impeccable. It's just overpriced for the drinks at the size they are and comparable for the meal

On the beach, Mickel was the best! Very kind, and prompt service. He made our beach days bomb. When sitting at the restaurant my friend had to send back her eggs Benedict four times 😂 I mean it’s not that hard to poach eggs but apparently for this kitchen it is. Otherwise we tried the crab cake, mahi mahi bites, fries and mahi tacos were all good. Service at the restaurant/bar for sit down was very slow and non attentive to be honest, can ruin your mood.

Shany was our server when there was a group of us for lunch. She did a great job attending to our requests / needs and was kind enough to take many group photos of us. Shany was professional and gracious- as was every server/ bartender we experienced. The staff and the atmosphere makes this spot one you don't want to miss. What a fantastic team!

Very pretty venue on the beach. We were looking for the Salt Shack which we found out is still under construction although listed in the open St Thomas restaurant sections. We settled for the location (Sugarfin). The menu for lunch was pretty limited if you’re not there for the raw bar. We had Pancanella (not bad, a good salad with a side of dried bread) and shrimp tempura roll (not as good). Service was slow, although the front desk (Pretty) was very friendly and helpful. I’d say a great location for a drink on the beach and a mediocre location for food. We were not staying at the hotels there, so parking was difficult and expensive (finally did valet).

The food was amazing! There was a new menu as of the day we went. Our server, Sameca, was superb! She was super fun. Our only feedback was that the kitchen was really slow, but it's island time, and they discounted our meal because of the wait. The sound of the ocean to go along with great food was a plus! I'd go again. ❤️

The ambience is top notch, the food and the service just average. The menu is quite limited, we had ordered a Shrimp Pasta, a chicken and a Salmon main course. The food took almost an hour to come and the taste was average. The chicken was simply dry, just no juice on it. The service was there because it had to be there, missing friendliness. The price point high for the quality of food that they serve. Would not go there again.

The burger and fries were the most delicious meal we have enjoyed during our visit, and the beach view was exceptionally beautiful. However, our waitress's service was not quite up to par. She seemed visibly displeased when I changed my mind about the sparkling water and requested still water instead. Furthermore, after settling the bill, she returned with an apparent dissatisfaction regarding the gratuity I had left, considering the quality of service provided.

Grilled Mahi Mahi Sandwich with fries was our choice to split for lunch. Restaurant at the resort has a fantastic ambience and beautiful views, and we were excited to experience it. We arrived at 3 and sat at the bar. We were greeted within a few minutes. There were only 3 others when we arrived. Ordered a drink that took 15 minutes, ordered the sandwich that took 45 after we already inquired with our server twice. The sandwich was great, (we had hoped that would be the case for $28), but the wait and delayed service was a deterrent for another visit during our stay!

Had to wait over 40 minutes for this bowl and the restaurant wasn’t even crowded. Plating was bad, taste was bad, tostones taste like they were fried in old oil. So many flies in the restaurant. Staffs were very very slow and nonchalant. They charged me wrongly the first time and took literally 20 minutes to come back to me with the menu for price-checking.

Not sure why resorts can’t get food right. The presentation of the coconut shrimp looked high end but the flavor was forgettable. The burger was bland and the fries were average. Out of stock on multiple vodkas and coronas, so Red Stripe it was. Our waitress was so kind and timely it made it worth it. As for the ambiance, incredible. We went at sunset and sat next to the beach and had a full moon illuminating the water. Amazing

The atmosphere is great with the beachside location and watching the waves crashing against the sands. As a party of 2 walking in for an impromptu dinner, I had decided to entertain an island visitor with a restaurant directly below my home. It did appear as though we were an inconvenience to the hostess, based on the lack of basic customer service. She did however find us a table for two beachside. Our waitress was very pleasant, although we only saw her a couple of times during the meal. She was fairly busy however managing multiple tables. The meals had much to be desired. Personally I ordered the crab leg special and sadly it is now the worst crab leg dinner I have ever had in 56 years of life. Extremely small leg sizes looking overall at less than a pound of crab. Pieces so small that snapping the legs was useless and prying through it with a fork like a toothpick was the only realistic means of attempting to eat it. A pool of Siracha filled the plate to a point where there were not enough napkins to clean my hands after every attempt to eat. My guests experience was much the same with her pasta dish. Our overall dining experience did have a pleasant atmosphere however we did visit for a meal and neither of us were able to continue attempting to eat what we had been served. I will watch for a track record of improvement through reviews prior to visiting for a meal in the future, as my guests are important and deserve much better in both service and meal preparation. I was highly surprised that a location of this caliber, did not match the meal pricing with the meal quality, in a higher end establishment.

Amazing location, Beach and sunset views but mediocre and overpriced food. Wish they had fresh fruit smoothies but they charged $15 for a virgin cocktail made with syrup. Not too many gluten free options (flour tortillas only and they were out of lettuce wraps) which was tough for my wife who is celiac. We also ate at the restaurant and had fish tacos and a burger (with no bun) and didn't find them that good, especially for the $26 price tag each. They do deliver food poolside which was very nice, but again $28 (before tipe) for a salad with fish felt a little steep

Monday night waitress slammed. Not a problem for us. Ordered the $43. Shrimp and scallops ink squid pasta. Not one scallop in the entire dish. To much Ginger in sauce wasn’t my taste and ate very little. Server sold us on rum Carmel bread pudding dessert before we ordered food. The dessert took about 25 minutes to arrive at the table. Over cooked like a piece of burnt dried out toast. Asked her where the caramel sauce was and she said oh it must’ve baked in.. The bill arrives and it was $16 for this hunk of Disappointment of a dessert. I did mention to her when paying the bill that she should mention to Chef that he way overcooked the dessert.My grandson’s steak looked like something Denny’s would serve up. But he ate it and he enjoyed the flavor. Also, they give you water in plastic bottles, which is not very recycle friendly. And they never pick up the bottles and they start blowing all over the place at nine dollars a shot you get to chase your empty water bottle through the restaurant. Location is fabulous. Our server was nice but another pet peeve of mine is When an appetizer arrives at your table and they don’t bring the plates All businesses are allowed to have an off business day and perhaps this was theirs and we were just lucky enough to be part of it. But for all the Outstanding reviews and last night of a vacation dinner it was disappointing.

Bad service and not delicious food. Very small portions It is am amazing place on the beach with stumming view and confirmtable seats. But service is frantically bad. They are giving you table upon reception and when you reach your table everything is dirty. You are saying ok no problem I will wait until you clean. Then 5 people from staff will come to tell you that they will clean but 20 min later is still same dirty. Full of flies because it it. The food preparation usually takes around 1 hour too. Then it comes and its very small portion. Average price of anything is 20 USD. But I don't think it worth even thos price. Would not recommend this place.

If actually getting your food is important to you don’t come here. Staff was very rude when the issue was brought up to MGMT. Basically just scoffed and barked back saying “I’ll just take it off the order” no apology, no accountability, no sincerity after 2 hours of waiting. Children had to go 50 minutes before getting water.

Our experience is of mixed reviews. Our server Myrtle was great! Was very helpful and polite. Our wait time was over an hour to receive our food after ordering when the food came out we had several things wrong per the kitchen. We had a burnt grilled cheese, coconut shrimp with no coconut, and our crab-cake came out after everybody else was finished. Also bottled water was nine dollars a bottle! This was not mentioned to us as we ordered four of them! The manager did comp the crab-cake and she did take off two bottles of water for the mistakes and disappointing food. For the prices you pay at these restaurants the food should be on point. If you go here ask for Myrtle for your server. The manager was very nice and helpful and listened to our concerns.

Shany was our server and didn’t check on us once. Somebody else brought our food out, we were here for 2 hours. She didn’t talk to us at all, keep in mind we came here for lunch and she had maybe 2 other tables. Got burger and fries which were mid. Not the best food for your money. Don’t recommend at all.

“Just changed to buffet breakfast, and the system was set up with 20% gratuity” (without mentioning it or says additional tip where you put down the tip),the buffet was $45 per person, it comes with a main dish and yet the Benedict (1 of 4 choice on menu) ran out an hr and a half before breakfast finished. It comes with mimosa, but you have to open the bubble bottle yourself. Many options for juice, yet only 3-4 choice left with very little in the bottle, and which were never filled again. The staff were willing to take the 20% gratuity off in the end, so we can decide how much to tip.

This is the stupidest concept ever. Used to be salt shack and you could get a burger to take to the beach. Now what are you supposed to do? Take a bowl of nasty ramen to your chair? Makes no sense. This is the only beach in this hemisphere that you can’t get a burger or fish tacos. Whatever hotel exec thought this up needs to be drug tested. I mean sugarfin sucked when it was in the lobby. Why move it to the beach? Duh.
