Is a good restaurant to get some tasty 😋 The pork ribs they're so good! And the breaskit was good too.
These guys are super friendly, great prices and the bougie bowl with rib meat is fantastic.
Good food and outdoor atmosphere. Parking is limited but the pulled pork is fantastic.
The sandwiches tasted awesome, they were a little fatty but that's fine.
Love if. Best bbq.
FANTASTIC BBQ but closed Sunday 8/25. 🙁
Amazing brisket, the hot link was perfect as well. Loved the backyard feel.
When I crave BBQ, this is what I want. The sauces, the sandwiches, the Mac and cheese, the banana pudding.
Fast and friendly service. Delicious barbecue.
Great BBQ Sadwinch and Mac Chess with children.
Fantastic ribs and an even better HH!
Great food and the staff was super friendly!
Great BBQ and a very nice property
Great food, awesome service!
Cute little place with excellent bbq. Nice cool, clean little place to eat with the food trailer outside. Nice outdoor seating area for when it's a little cooler temps outside. Across the outdoor seating area is a brewery where you can grab a cold one to go with your bbq. The food was excellent. I got the 3 sliders, brisket, chicken, pork. The portions were huge and I had to take 2 home. They were all great. The gouda smoked mac n cheese was excellent. Nice place and great atmosphere to hang out!
IMO Best chicken in town, hands down. Whether in the WA chix sandwich or by the pound, just can’t be beat. I look forward to it. Keep doing what you’re doing.
If my dope AF hubs wants to eat a lb of brisket 5 days a week he’s going to get a lb of the best brisket in South ATX from the crew at Slab BBQ. They do it right. The food and laid back atmosphere at south locations are great.
Incredible food. Hands down some of the best BBQ I’ve had. Hurry up and try the food here before it becomes too popular. Added bonus: brewery just opened 100ft away.
Slab BBQ is half way there to making it on to my list of "Top 10 Bar B Q restaurant". You have to stop in and give this place a try. Please let me know what you think. Remember top 10 is real honor.
Giving these guys a break since the reviews are sincerely brutal and not even remotely fair. Def dont deserve 1 star but thats the most hurtful thing someone can do so obviously they do it unjustly.
Great food and friendly staff.
Always great food. LOVE the smoked wings they serve on the weekends! People are so nice. They always suggest things, if you are indecisive.
brisket sandwich with cole slaw was very good. staff was very helpful and efficient, fast service. eating outside under the oaks made it very pleasant.
Large sandwiches of smoked meat and sauce. Sides you would expect with barbecue. The beans are sweet meaning sugary. $34.00 2 sandwiches 1 side.
Honestly as good as I was told it would be, this location is in the early period so they're still getting a hang of the serving and volume of the area but the food is on point. I do recommend it.
I've always had a good experience eating here and the outdoor, tree shaded area is a great place to eat. I recommend the brisket sandwich and the bowls. Glad to have them in the neighborhood.
I have been to Slab’s three times already with out of town guests and my wife, service is quick and the food always taste good. I personally recommend the chop brisket sandwich and also going on Thursdays for their rib special, atmosphere is great too you can have a beer or two at nomadic while you wait for your food.
We had some miscommunication about our order but the manager was so kind and accommodating and made sure to get us our reimbursement. Their food is absolutely delicious and I’m so happy to that our issue was resolved so that we can continue to be customers! You have to order the nachos and DEFINITELY the banana pudding!
This is the best barbecue I’ve ever had. I’ve been a customer at multiple locations for years. It is always very consistent and delicious. The ribs are amazing. They fall right off the bone & the glaze is out of this world. Not to forget the potato casserole and the baked beans! My absolute favorite sides I’ve ever had. I love barbecue and have never found another spot better than SLAB.
Got the rib sandwich and the rib meat was SO good. Also loved the brisket bowl. It's so nice to have a gf option other than just meat. The veggies, rice and meat were great together. I asked for a little more sauce and it was great.
I was at a Yelp event and at Antones Blues festival which had Slab BBQ! I was able to try Slab BBQ at both locations. I have to say it was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I have ever had! I ate that sandwich so fast. The meat was soft and so tender. The slaw in one of the sandwiches was unique and brought a form of texture that I never considered for a brisket sandwich. I will be back here soon to get more!
10/10 place! Me and my boyfriend went to have a lunch at this food truck and we had an amazing time. The service was incredible. The food came out quick and it was delicious. We had the slider trio and That was enough for the two of us. We are definitely coming back for another bite!
Had the Notorious P.I.G., the Mac, and the banana pudding. Definitely one of the best BBQ I've had in Austin. It's in my top 3. The sandwich had a fantastic combination of sweet and tang to it along with the fantastic choice of buns, the mac had a rich taste to it, and the banana pudding... I'm still thinking about that pudding days later. And the cookie it came with. Love the theme, guys. High recommendation from me.
Love their new location. Lots of space in the back for kids to run around and with both indoor and outdoor seating. Of course, the food remains awesome!!!!
Good BBQ fast casual place off Brodie lane with a nice outdoor area to grab a bite. Great place to bring kids because there is a large outdoor space and a designated kids area.
Look, you're in Texas and there and better places to get BBQ, but when you add in a brewery, slack line play area, kickball/wiffleball field, and location; good BBQ is just the icing on the cake. Tornado is good but I wish they had lettuce like the old oak hill location. Ribs are great. Nachos are fun but salty way to experience bbq. Chicken sandy is really really good. Need queso. Ribs are on point but different with the glaze. Beer next door is fantastic. Will come back with friends, kids, and dog.
Great little spot on a “shared” property with Nomadic Outpost. Limited indoor seating with a spread outdoor seating. Service was friendly and the food was brought to us quickly.
Cute cute cute spot with INCREDIBLE bbq! Highly recommend. We had the OG and el jefe and both were amazing. You can get a “small” which is more like a slider size or a large which is like a full size hamburger. The coleslaw has a little spice but it’s so good! They have indoor seating at Slab or outside shaded areas. Next door they have Nomadic Outpost brewery with additional seating inside and out. They have all kinds of beer and coffee! The bathrooms are also very nice! I would highly recommend making the stop here!

We catered our wedding buffet style with slab and the food was soooo good. Legitimate fall off the bone ribs and mouthwatering brisket.
I’ve Had barbecue in about 15 different spots in Austin this one is in the top two Brisket is amazing service It’s great
Slab BBQ never disappoints. Everything we have tried is delicious. I especially love the nachos. I just wish we had one closer to home.

Love their mac and cheese!! Make sure you add! You will be surprised
I have kids so please make a playscape!!!!!!! Oh and more parking!!
Good food - ample space to facilitate lots of people comfortably. I docked a star because we felt like the play area could be better and it just has room for more amenities. We know it’s newer so expect over time it will transform. We’d come here again with the kids.
The barbecue was good. The location is awesome. It has corn hole and a nice shady area with trees in the back. The barbecue sauce was a little lackluster but overall I’ll definitely be back.
I like the food I had the Texas tornado and it was pretty good but I don’t like that it is a CASHLESS business the one on oak hill takes cash tho. But they can’t because of the space
I ordered at 6.35. I bbq brisket moist sandwich. Did not want chopped. Ordered extra moist. What i got was the leanest no fat brisket. Took two bites through it away. Order came out 30 min. Was expecting 15 to 20 min.
Okay so this location is a food truck. I had the el jefe, I think that’s how you spell it, and it was DELICIOUS! Slightly expensive and small portions
Had the Texas sliced brisket sandwich and the mustard coleslaw. The brisket was really good and for the cost I was pleased with the amount of meat. Initially the bread seemed dry at the edge like maybe it had been sitting on a warm surface for a little bit but as I got into the sandwich the bread was good too. The coleslaw was unlike anything I've had before and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was good and it had some spicy heat. I think I personally will choose a different side next time because I like coleslaw to leave a cold sensation with me but if you haven't tried the coleslaw I recommend trying it.
Well cooked ‘que. Never had a bad plate here. Very nice outdoor pasture area where dogs and kids are welcome to run free. Parking is difficult when they are busy. I recommend the brisket nachos, a meal in itself. #bbq #barbecue #barbeque
Best Rib Sandwich I’ve ever had. Only downside are the long lines on the weekends (25 mins). It would be a 5 if rating was just on the sandwich.

Changing to a 3 star. When a mistake is made on an order, you don't make the customer go back to the end of the line, you fix it immediately.
The food was great! The beer and the johns were a block away. Not quite on their game yet.
Overpriced, more vinegar than true BBQ, confused on how to order, did not get what I thought I ordered, but, edible.
Brisket dry with no flavor left me disappointed
Tried all available meats (and rib/brisket nachos) on two separate occasions. Unimpressed, as were my Bbq loving friends. “Solid mediocre” was the overall vote. Bummer. Had high hopes. Thankfully, lots of great Q to choose from in Austin.
The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the anbiance was great….. but the BBQ just wasn’t that good. I got the brisket sandwich and the only thing drier than the bun was the meat. Maybe it’s because I came for dinner instead of lunch but it was disappointing.
Got the 3 slider trio. Mini versions of 3 sandwiches they offer. Pork and brisket were on the dryer side and not very impressive. Chicken was the best of the 3. Meat was cooked well but didn't enjoy the flavor that much. Good atmosphere and quick service. Would try something else next time.
Not the best brisket in town. Got meat by lb, and the meat was very dry. Would try their sandwiches next time as they seem popular. Atmosphere and service are great and deserve a 5 start
Went to the Nomadic Outpost spot. First time I came the BBQ came out cold on a untoasted dry bun... for Austin, this isn't good BBQ. Went a second time with a group and ordered a chopped brisket sandwich. Best part was the pickle. Meat was decent but didn't have much sauce and again on a dry untoasted bun. Not much care put into this food. Feels thrown down in a rush and cooked in a similar fashion. Atmosphere and beer was the best part. Wish this was a good spot for BBQ as I live walking distance :/ Service is never helpful nor very friendly.
We ordered the El Jefe and the OG. Basically two sandwiches with meat. It doesn't come with any sides. The total came out to around around $30 that came w a bottled coke. Although the food tasted decent, they are kinda stingy with the portions. Personally, I don't think the prices justify what they provide. I liked the spicy BBQ sauce but the white sauce lacked flavor. Would I come back here again? No. The atmosphere is a basic dining area. Not too small nor is it big. There's both outdoor and indoor seating. My biggest issue was that the person on the kiosk saw a plate come through for someone but instead of giving to it to the person who ordered it. He kept taking orders from the people in line. This kept going on for about 10 min or so. I would've been upset if I was that person bc the food would be cold.
Want an average barbecue sandwich? Come on down to Slab. I tried the OG sandwich. The meat wasn't very flavorful and the BBQ sauce was very vinegary. The mac and cheese was pretty bland too. This location also has an odd setup where you order at a super small counter right near the entrance, but they make your food in a food truck out back. I had Slab on a list of BBQ spots to try out for a while. Reading the reviews, I'm not sure why it was on the list at all.
I normally love this place but last time I went the meat was really dry. I've never had dry brisket but it was awful. Also, the guy at the front desk is having a bad day and he literally yelled at a customer in front of me which made things super awkward. They also screwed up our order a bit and I was scared to ask him to fix it because he was so intimidating. I don't think I'm going to be going back...

Big prices, Tiny sandwhiches.
Came for the first time on Saturday during lunch and was not a fan. Ordered the OG chopped beef sandwich, coleslaw and sausage. First I would expect to have some sweet tea but not from a bottle that you can buy at store, unless you are buying beer or cocktails from brewery not many drink options. The sausage “link” I got was what felt like half or less just few slices and it was cold! The sandwich was so dry with just barely any barbecue sauce. I asked for extra pickles and onions and literally got like 3 pickles. One thing I did appreciate is the meat being lean and no fat mixed into it. The coleslaw was spicy and ok, found a random ingredient in it like a chip that didn’t belong. The space outside is nice but I would honestly just go back to get drinks at brewery but not to eat. Overpriced, paid $40 for 2 people and I have had way better barbecue in Austin. Service was ok, person charging didn’t look happy at all.
Went to their food truck at sxsw, flour tortillas were pretty much store bought and cold. Pulled pork was nothing special definitely not worth the price. Food truck personnel was really nice.
It just wasn’t good. Nachos used canned cheese I’m pretty sure and the brisket was drier than a bone
Very high priced for what you get . Disappointed. Very high in salt and tasteless. Don't taste the smoke. You definitely have to have sauce with their meats . Even the mango habanero sauce has high salt in it
Ordered nachos with the meat on the side, received a plate of chips and little to-go cups of everything fully deconstructed; would compare it to condiments at a movie theater or gas station, but $17 👎🏻
Arrived at 7pm, stood in line for 10+ minutes but then discovered they were out of pork which is what we came for so we ended up leaving. Staff was made up of teenage boys that didn’t seem to be in any hurry.
Bbq items I ordered were bland. Nothing came with sauce…Meat was decent however, who eats BBQ without sauce?! Not impressed
Way below average chopped beef, terrible cole slaw, tea in a bottle, and too damn expensive! Nice outdoor area and friendly staff.
The little girl leaking our order seemed bothered to have to interact with someone. When we tried to order, she didn't listen to our full order. When asked about the additional part of our order, she sighed and rolled her eyes. I asked for a receipt, and she didn't even ring it up. I won't be coming back because of her. She has a crap attitude. The food was good, though!
Not good anymore. Brisket tastes old, and nacho chips stale. Used to come to this location the last 3 years but won’t be coming anymore.
Such a disappointment. Great staff, but mediocre bbq that isn’t worth the price. Asked for moist brisket. Given mini slices of lean that were 40% fat cap, pretty dry, and had almost no smoke ring. Bread was stale. And went through two bottles of water getting everything down. There are much better places out there, recommend avoiding.
Waited 45 minutes for nachos that take 2 minutes to make. Driest brisket I've had in Austin. Do not recommend. Will not return.
Was excited to try this new spot, but turned out to be a total disappointment. The staff was friendly but ultimately it was overpriced, served bland and dry meat with really cheap/soggy sandwich ingredients. Very limited choices in plates and sides, no diet drink options and they served everything to us in tons of plastic even though we dined-in. The room was small and uncomfortable. Spent nearly $45 for two of us and left hungry and annoyed. Much better BBQ options just down the road. Bummer!
Nomadic is cool- good beer and staff The Slab food truck closes at 4 or 5 on Sundays- the brisket sandwhiches are copped brisket even if the photo shows otherwise. They staff is annoyed if you ask any questions or order not using the app and any beverages you should just order from the bar to save yourself having to show your receipt - its also cheaper at the bar.
Third time I’ve been to the Brodie location and I am never going back! First time was great and I was excited about finding good bbq near my house. Second time I got the same thing and it was just okay. Today I wanted to try it again and got a chopped beef sandwich and a trio. The bread was stale on all four sandwiches and the meat was cold. Girl at the counter wasn’t friendly at all. She just handed me the bag and moved on. Say Hello? or Thank you! I just spent $35 on 4 really bad sliders. I’m bummed and still hungry because I had to throw most of my meal away.

Walked in and the grumpy employee sitting down by the front door was very rude and not welcoming, so we left. Saturday, April 6th at 12:40pm
2nd time trying this location and it's the 2nd time I'm disappointed. Staff are friendly. Food is really bad, COLD and became seriously overpriced for what it is. Guess I'm officially no longer a regular.
BBQ was mediocre , service was really bad
Went twice to Brodie location. Both time the food was cold and they served me chopped brisket when I ordered .sliced brisket. In Texas there is a difference between sliced brisket and chopped. At least the first time they told me all they had was chopped. I will never go to this place again. The meat is bland.and the smallest amount you can order is ½ lb or lb… WTH?
Whoever is the cashier is unnecessarily rude. Im trying to spend MY money and order what is on the menu and keep getting a stank attitute. Please go get another job far away from people. Slab BBQ hold this L
I asked for moist and I got some of the driest tasteless barbecue, this old boy has had in quite some time. They must be doing badly because they went from a very expensive building to a trailer. Basically in the same parking lot but very disappointed. And it's not cheap
hey, if you guys are going to be closed all the time, please make sure you can let your customers know. this has happened multiple times, where you are just closed on random days without updating your phone line or website. Your food is good, but it doesnt help of you guys are randomly closed
I had a problem with an order I made online. I called them immediately and couldn't get through. I've been calling them every 30 seconds on repeat for the last 15 minutes straight (yeah, I'm up to about 50 calls) and usually it goes straight to a "voicemail hasn't been set up. good bye." message, but twice I heard someone pick up the phone and slam it down. This is unacceptable.
Don’t bother! This place is overpriced and tasteless. We got their nachos with brisket and it was horrible, lots of onion, very little cheese and brisket, huge raw chunks of jalapeños and small pieces of pickles! Will not be going here again.
Terrible experience. Don’t waste your time or money. The girl had a terrible attitude. Place doesn’t even deserve one star.
I got the nachos & they looked nothing like the pictures online! There was almost no brisket so I couldn’t tell you if it was good or not. What queso there was didn’t taste like cheese & what was there was tasteless & runny. The lady behind the counter was polite (not friendly) but considering the quality of the food my friend & I had, I feel stupid for giving a generous tip before tasting the food. Will absolutely never return to Slab bbq.
We went there two Saturdays in a row, once to eat in and the second for take out. Both times it was between 6 and 7 PM, a pretty common time for dinner. Both times there was no food available, the second take out order was accepted and charged but when I arrived they had no food. Poor management of their smoking ability. Why not just sell lunch or maybe start to smoke more meat. I won’t be back. Not worth it with so much more bbq out there. If I could have given them a lower rating I would have.
Our debit card was hacked through their online menu and we spent the night on hold and talking to our bank to fix it. You are standing right there, take orders in person! Will not be back.
We ordered food through the QR code out front of the truck. After 30 minutes I find out that it was sent to the other location. I scanned the QR Code there… why would it not be directed to THAT location. The staff was kind and said that they would start working on my order. After another 20 minutes I checked back in and they said they don’t have an order. I was under the impression that the order would be transferred. I had at this time a screaming toddler and it was my husband’s birthday. Fix your QR codes.

Ordered 2lb ribs yesterday for take out. Today me and my girlfriend started the day making brown gravy on the toilet. The ribs lacked the smokey BBQ flavor that I remember (no bbq smell at all, were they cooked in an oven?). The were soft but not falling off the bone like I remember. Something seems to of really changed since they moved to this truck and it isn't good. What happened to delicious food yall used to serve :(
I was happy and excited to order food, I walked up. The cashier she just stared at me. I had to say hi to her and introduce myself and ask for a menu. She looked at me very rudely. She was no help. I ordered my food. It was way overpriced the attitude and atmosphere totally killed it for me. I left that place in a worse mood than I arrived, the food taste fair I received my sandwich with no sausage. I ordered sausage. She argued with me and said that I didn’t.
This place REALLY went down the drain. I’ve been coming for years, i probably won’t come back after today. The food was meh, but the staff working the food truck couldn’t speak English enough to explain what the special was, and was pretty rude about it. Got home, food looks super dry and doesn’t look up to Texas standards. I get it, times are hard. Pack up, take a break, and start a new brand. I’ve seen yall go down for years after the bowling alley stuff and I’m truly sorry but I can’t sped my money here anymore.
