I ordered the chaufa saxsay ( beef, chicken , shrimp fried rice) and the jalea mixta (mixed fried seafood). It was delicious!! Everything was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. Staff was very friendly. I will definitely be going back!
Delicious Peruvian food, I had the seafood jalea. a variety of fried seafood and my son had the beef sautéed. Good dishes. Service was excellent, cleanliness is perfect. The owner was gracious and kind.
A big surprise for my sister and I as we just decided to stop here ..never heard of the place before. We were mesmerized! The food was absolutely wonderful. And the dessert was also wonderful! Service was a delight also! We will be back and bring our friends.
This has been by far the best place I have eaten at in Miami. The food is fresh and you can see them making your food if you would like. The customer service is nice and does want to actually make you have a good experience. The dinning area is very clean. I 100% recommend this place as I have already been spreading the word about this place amongst my inner circle.
The go-to for amazing Peruvian food. Never too busy, but energy is great and the food is amazing and varied. Little hard to find, but good! Keeps crowds away. Right now if consider this my secret spot for amazing food. Good prices too, and friendly people running the joint.
Delicious food that feels like fine dining. Honestly it’s my favorite spot in south Florida. I also have a very sensitive stomach, and the food here never hurts me. I have tried a lot of their dishes and have enjoyed every single one of them, they taste so fresh and refined.
I have never had Peruvian food but was intrigued, hard to find if you dont know the area. My wife suggested it and it was very welcoming and busy we sat right down and checked out the menu. They do speak english but it was helpful having my wife speak Spanish everything was wonderful, presentation was top notch, and a attentive but not overbearing service A bit pricey but worth every penny authentic in every way, excellent job!
What a magnificent Peruvian dining experience! Our server Piero was extremely knowledgeable of the food offerings as well as the history behind them. An OUTSTANDING person who guided us through the extensive menu, and everything on it looked and sounded absolutely amazing! I had Linguini al Diabla con churrosco Al grill, which has linguine with an incredible, creamy sauce made from yellow Peruvian pepper accompanied by a marinated steak that was grilled to perfection, and Chi had Camerones del Ajo with yucca and rice. Both meals were off-the-chart delicious! Easily ranking a 12 on a scale of 1-10.. we topped off that delicious meal with an absolutely splendid recommendation by our wonderful server, thier passion fruit cheesecake along with a café con leche.. We will certainly be returning here soon as we are both anxious to try everything on the menu!! Next time we will be trying their appetizer offerings including some not-on-the-menu selections also suggested by Piero. We give this place a rating of 😋😋😋😋😋 out of five And we would suggest it to all desiring an extraordinary meal at a very reasonable price with Wonderful service and atmosphere. They also do large party accommodations. Cheers
This place was simply amazing! The grilled octopus and fish ceviche were the perfect appetizers to kick things off and then had the red snapper as the main course did not disappoint, this is a dish that you can share (unless you're really hungry) and the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. On the way out I shook the chef's hand and he was gracious, friendly and happy that we enjoyed the meal... this is not a fancy or flashy place, but if you like great food and great service this is the place to be, I would gladly drive past a few fancy restaurants to get to Saxsay...
Best peruvian food in town! The food is amazing and so were the drinks! The service was great! Staff was extremely friendly and food came fast! Highly recommend the conchitas a la parmesana and the grilled octopus. Pisco sour is a must! Will be coming back!
Delicious food, very traditional flavor. Nice environment for lunch or parties!!! Service , impeccable!! Love it!!
Today's craving was papa a la huancaina. As being National best friends day I decided to give this restaurant a try since it's my best friend's favorite. The restaurant it self it really nice, updates have been done in the past years and the outside doesn't not match the outside, you would assume it's a small location but it ends up being a huge property. Staff was okay , we did had a little bit of a wait in our visit due to us wanting a booth, had to ask several times for their complementary fried corn (canchas). But at the end we four double the serving. Now let me tell you guys about their food, my friend ordered ceviche, my background with Peruvian ceviche is not great and I don't usually enjoy it , decided to give this one a try and I was surprised of how tasty it was. Please do remind them if you are not a person that likes spicy dishes to maybe toned it down a notch. She asked for mild and it was more on the really spicy side. On the other hand I asked for their linguini a la diabla with skirt steak, the only downside was the fact that they didn't had linguini so I had to replace it with spaghetti, the sauce was delicious and the steak was out of this world. If you decide to give them a try you will not be disappointed, they do showcase one of the best examples of Peruvian food at this little gem. They have karaoke nights and someone playing traditional Peruvian songs on Friday's.
This is a small restaurant with big ambiance, the food is amazing, the service is outstanding, my favorite dish is Pulpo al olivo, but every time I go I try something different and the flavors of every dish has never stoped to amazed me. Overall my favorite place to dine.
I have been coming to this place for a couple of years now, and the food is consistently good. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is really calming. I highly recommend this place 100%
Me and my mom are obsessed with Saxsay Deli. We went over board with all the food we ordered because we were so excited to try it. I had the maracuya sour (amaaazinggg), lomo, aji de gallina, and causa. The meat in the lomo saltado was perfectly prepared. My mom wants to go back everyday.
Great independent restaurant run by a local family Authentic Peruvian cuisine in a great atmosphere. Small cute with private areas and a room in the back for hire. We highly recommend you visit Saxsay or see them at the Taste ofTamarac 10/13 11.30am - 3pm.
Love this place. I am 💯 satisfied with this place. Love the food, waiters, parking space and most importantly the people I bring are also 💯 satisfied dining here. Best Peruvian place ever. Can’t say enough about it. Just love it.
My wife and I both agree that our food was wonderful! The Aji de Gallina and Lomo Saltado will keep us coming back for more. The aroma alone has us craving for more. This is exactly why we love Peruvian cuisine. We ordered using Uber Eats and it was simple. Thank you for our excellent dinner last night.
The ceviche was delicious. I love their fish dishes. The service is also amazing!
Great food, amazing service, great for any occasion, very roomy and the waitress Karen and the Owner Roxana were attentive but not overbearing, their pescado a lo macho, piscosour, ceviche, sangria, papa a la huancaina are delicious, definitely worth the drive
A little expensive but definitely worth every dollar. The food was amazing and so was the service!!! Will definitely be going back.
Outstanding quality, huge portions and great service

Great staff and food. The pescado a lo macho is great. I order it all the time...but it is inconsistent. Some days it is great while other days it is poorly made with no taste. Consistent product would have given this 5 stars
Great service. Food was good but took some question asking to figure out what to order, not being familiar with Peruvian cuisine. Waitress was very helpful and we made good choices. If you're looking for something different, put this place on your list.
Over all its a great place. I do feel like they could do a better job with the decor but I guess that's not too important. The staff are nice and the food is great! I bought a friend there and it was her 1st time. She enjoyed herself. The parking is great too. The pisco sour was delicious 😋.
Came late at night with my lady to have a dinner night. Thankfully they were still open and served us. Peruvian good was great. Portions were really good. Not a single complaint regarding the quality. Needs improvement regarding attentiveness to your customers. Had to reach out to our waitress multiple times for water and etc. Would come back overall for the food!
Great service, clean, and always Delicious!
Food I well prepared and fresh not too salty like other Peruvian restaurants.
Ordered the LOMO SALTADO lunch portion. Plate was $10 which is reasonable.(Albeit, not a lot of beef) I have had REALLY GOOD LOMO SALTADO at other places where they use a better grade of beef.

I came back after trying the best pescado a lo macho and was a bit disappointed. The tallarín verde had absolutely no taste def. missing something. The anticucho was OK not great and my aunt liked the lomo saltado and the dessert was good. Another thing is the canchita was cold and not fresh this is a shame, is something so easy to do keep this fresh and hot at all times.

Wow, place is running down. Broken seats that scratch your legs. No paper and barely any water in the bathroom. I was over charged for something (and the prices are already way too high), I am glad I noticed. The food is good, but I rather go to a clean place with decent prices. It is a shame, this place USED to be better.
It was my first experience with Peruvian restaurant food and if I hadn't had it at someone's house first I would not have been impressed at all. Don't get me wrong the place looks amazing but the food left a lot to be desired. Price wise I also found it to be a little on the high side for simple dishes like ceviche.
So disappointed today. Ive been comi gnere for years and get the same exact dish.. Pescado a lo macho! Today the plate was a disaster. The dish didnt come with any seafood only a few pieces of shrimp. The sauce was horrible. The staff all looked confused and didnt know what sauces went with the other food we ordered. Never again! Now to find a new peruvian spot near me with good food.
Terrible service, awful food, i ordered a full size snapper, it looked pretty, but it was not cook all the way, the skin was salty, the "Salad" a bunch of onions was very salty, when I asked for another one, they brought me more onions with just oil, when i complained they did not care to help us anymore. People that came to eat later than us were helped first, I can go on and on, I will never go back.
Before I start I should mention I’ve frequented this place since before they moved to this current location and I’m not sure if they changed owners.. I haven’t been here in over a year and decided to go back because we’ve always had a good experience. But unfortunately the food was not as good as it used to be and the service was even worse… I went at around 8:30 pm on sept 30th and we will NEVER go back. My experience this time was completely different.. especially the food. I understand everyone has different tastes so the intention of my review is not to speak badly on the food but to advise the management that A LOT needs to be overlooked. Not sure what was wrong with our server but she had very poor customer service and to make matters worse when we get our check we see that she automatically charged an 18% tip for a party of 5 or more customers… Our party was 4 adults and a 1 year old. I addressed her and she said if the baby eats he has to pay… I could of told the manager to look at the camera footage and had them remove the automatic tip after realizing the baby didn’t even order or eat anything from here…so technically they can’t do that and have never charged us for a baby in the past before, which seemed kinda weird. But I let her keep the $25 tip because clearly she needed it that bad if she has to try to steal from customers this way. Zero integrity… I wish she could of provided better service and just waited for a good tip instead of trying to get it this way. Just watch out when eating here
It's a lot of Peruvian restaurant around here this one doesn't worth the try Bad Service make me wait 25 mm to get the food 25 minute to get the bill ! spend 1h waiting ! pasta verde plain ! arroz con mariscos plain ! not even good
I’m super confused on the rating for this restaurant because I was not pleased at all. It took forever for someone to come to our table to ask for our order. It took so long that I was contemplating leaving. We got our drinks, which were disgusting by the way, and waters for everyone. We finished our waters before the food came and never got a refill. All of the plates were cold. The fried rice was burnt. The white rice was undercooked. The fish was soggy. The waitress offered us an upgrade on the steak for only $3 and a free glass of wine. Never got the wine and the steak was rock hard. After we finished eating they cleared our plates quickly but then took a whole 10mins to get the check. We had to walk up to them to ask for the check. Overall not a nice experience. Seems like they don’t know what they are doing. Would not recommend.
Last 2 times we have ordered food to go, it has taken twice as long as they say it will. First time we ordered through Uber Eats and thought maybe that was the problem but the last time we called the restaurant and ordered directly from them. They said 30 mins, we got there at 40 mins and they hadn’t even started our food yet. So they cooked it in a hurry and when we got it home the soup had zero flavor, the tomato and onion in the Lolo Salteado was cut into large pieces that were barely cooked. Plus it cost us almost $60. Never again! 👎🏽
I ordered take out for me and my son, I order a kids breaded chicken for him, his food was fine but not very well presented, since it was a kids meal the chicken was literally cut in half it just didn’t look good when I opened the box, I ordered a churrasco a lo pobre, it was not good at all, first the churrasco looked like a palomilla steak, small and thin plus it was overcooked, the plate is not cheap, but I think I can get a better steak at pollo tropical.
I used to like this place but today I went to buy a Tiradito tri-color and I just fish with sauce 😏😏. They used to server 3 different types of sauces!!!

***Buyer beware*** $26 for a plate that was missing a couple of key ingredients cilantro and salt. The price is outrageous on its own. They started at $18 and it was really good! I would get it every couple months. Little by little they increased the price but it was still good. Now it's $26 and it's awful
I do not recommend this restaurant, it was my first time and the last time I ordered a choufa rice and it tasted horrible because it smelled burnt, my friend ordered Quinoa a la Huancaina on the recommendation of the waitress because my friend ordered Octopus and they didn't have any, there was only one waitress serving the tables, we ordered drinks and we had to eat without them because we asked for them 3 times and he forgot to bring them but he wanted to charge for 5 drinks, horrible experience I will NEVER go to that restaurant again, they did not give any discount for the Quinoa a la Huancaina which was returned in full, no one could eat that. And even so I gave the waiter a 20% tip, he didn't cook and he was nice but I give the cooker one star.
