Bolero Restaurant at Europa Village Resort is a fantastic dining experience in the heart of the Temecula wine country. We ordered the New York steak cooked to medium rare, and it was perfectly prepared with full of flavor. The seafood paella was equally delicious, with fresh seafood and well balanced seasoning. One standout appetizer was the Caesar salad bites, which offered a very unique and creative twist on a classic dish. It was both fun and flavorful. We also tried the grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce, which was cooked beautifully and paired perfectly with the bright, herbaceous sauce. To top off the meal, we enjoyed Santa’s Bourbon Old Fashioned made with Elijah Craig. It was smooth and crafted to perfection. With its great food, creative presentation, and beautiful location within Europa Village Resort in the Temecula wine area, Bolero Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
The best dinner my wife and I can remember. I have to thank Alex from, The Mercantile, in Old Temecula for the recommendation. Stop by his store, buy something, and tell him I sent you, he is a great guy. My wife had the Lamb and she absolutely loved it. I had the Sea Bass, it was phenomenal. See my photos I posted of the menu for a complete description and a picture of my dinner.
Jeri was amazing! The food was excellent. Loved my birthday dessert! The ice cream was exceptional. We were visiting from Texas. This was our 2nd time to wine and dine at Bolero and we will be back soon
The service was outstanding ! The sommelier picked an amazing bottle of wine for us based on our wine preferences! We ordered three tapas dishes and all of them were delicious. We didn’t have reservations so we were put in a different room and at first I didn’t like it but then we made friends with all the people in there! Made it a memorable evening! We will definitely be back!
Loved our visit to Bolero in Temecula! The octopus salad was super fresh and flavorful ~definitely a must try. The lamb chops and seafood pasta were good, though not quite as exceptional as we’ve had in other places. The place has such a nice vibe and great wine too. It does get really busy on Saturdays, so getting a table can be a bit of a challenge, but totally worth it! 🍷🐙✨
I live in OC and every time I visit Temecula, I have to come and dine at Bolero. This is the best dining experience you’ll get in this area. You have yet to be surprised at the quality of food you’re getting. I am always excited to see and experience new menus they add to the already sumptuous menu they have. You have to come and visit when you’re in town!
My wife and I came here in the late afternoon for some small bites and a couple of drinks, and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing — perfect for unwinding. The calamari and sliders were incredible (honestly, I’d come back to Temecula just for those damn sliders!). Philip took great care of us and even surprised me with a birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. We had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back.
Most importantly, the food was delicious!! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was beautiful! My friends treated me for my birthday and we absolutely enjoyed it.
Okay I just had to leave a review mainly for our Server Jeri ! She was AMAZING! Not only her attitude but the way she was interacting with us :) Some servers would kinda just see a kid and hope that they don’t do what they want but she included my 1 year old and it was just so refreshing to see, especially being a young mom it’s already hectic enough. Super kind, sweet all the above! Makes me want to come back as it was my first time there & the food was amazing as well! Croquetas 10/10
Had a wonderful experience at Valero restaurant celebrating a dear friend‘s birthday. Food was amazing. Presentation was beautiful and the service was top-notch.. great place for a special celebration.
Tami was awesome! She was really patient and helped us navigate our menu . Very pleased with the staff and the ambience The food is really good didn’t have the time to try the paella but the sea bass and calamari were phenomenal.
Went here for a birthday lunch. The estate was spectacular. Amazing view. Great ambiance. We chose Bolero restaurant one of 3 (I think) in the Estate. Each dish that came out was spectacular! -The sliders were slightly dry, but still tasty. - The steak was phenomenal - The pulpo was quite memorable! - The mussels with soup was so good I licked the last drop off the plate
I love the tables side options when you have 4 or more people. They serve the tomahawk steak and other things like this. The wines from the winery are pretty good We actually joined their membership, which has lots of nice perks
Celebrated Father's Day at Bolero and it was a perfect day. Location is beautiful like you are in Spain or Italy. The food was delicious. We ordered the seafood paella and you need to order ahead because it takes about 30-45 minutes to prepare. It won't disappoint. I highly recommend ordering the three cheese board with honey, figs, crackers and the 3 cheese. LOVE the drunken goat cheese. Pair it with your favorite wine and enjoy while you wait for your paella. We also ordered the rolled Caesar salad. Interesting presentation for a salad. They have good selections of shareable appetizers so if you don't want to eat a big full meal you can enjoy a glass of wine with appetizers. They have a market which you can buy Italian brand items and decor for your home. Inside the market they have a cage where you can order sandwiches, pizza and drinks. If you just want to eat in the cafe you can take your food in many sitting areas all over the the Winery. Great place to celebrate a special occasion or if you want to show your guest the winery in Temecula area.
This was our first time dining at Bolero Restaurant, and we were absolutely blown away by the exceptional service and delicious food. The restaurant has a charming European vibe and specializes in tapas-style cuisine. Our server, Mark, was outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He recommended a great bottle of wine and even offered us a tasting before we made our choice. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of the vineyard—it added a special touch to an already memorable experience. Thank you, Mark! We were lucky to have you as our server. We’ll definitely be back!
Beautiful place Service was a 10 The wine....uff...so good!!! Really recommend this place to go with ur Other half and/or even with the entire family as the its kids friendly. The location is perfect to relax with a glass of white wine or red...I loved almost all of them.
One of the best restaurants inside of the Europa Village wineries. This restaurant is located in the Spanish portion of the winery and you feel like you’re in Spain. My family and I decided to eat outdoors to enjoy the sunshine. The best place to get paella, make sure you bring family. The Cesar salad is definitely something different as they make it wrapped in jicama. We also tried the hazelnut chocolate cake which was not that sweet, and super delicious!! Don’t forget to try the wine here at Europa!
The food and service was wonderful. The cauliflower and ceviche is a must! Our server, Mark, was delightfully funny. His humor and attentiveness made our experience a 10/10.
“Bolero Restaurant in Temecula is absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and welcoming. A must-visit spot!”
What a great first time experience at this restaurant, the ambiance was perfect. Not into wine but was great because they had amazing cocktails, food was made with love but wasn't too jazzed about the scallops I wish it had a little seasoning on it. Our waiter Josh was so awesome he answered all our questions, even suggested a few of the items that he enjoyed. The manager came over and introduced himself and asked us how everything was that is always a plus,we will definitely come back and try other items on the menu for sure.
Amazing restaurant in Temecula Wine Country also it is within Europa Village. I love the Fried olives, I don’t usually eat them but they made them so good I ended up eating half the plate. Paella is also good and their Empanadas are really great. Service is excellent they’ll update you of wait time since Paella has a wait time of approximately 45mins. Will recommend and will definitely comeback for more.
Amazing experience! A little piece of Spain into the heart of the wine region of SoCal! I felt again in Europe with those shrimps in garlic sauce and the empanadas. Great wines and tasty charcuterie board. Thank you to our host Mark for a wonderful reception, serving and for the good advices that met our taste. Five stars to you Mark, the Egyptian. We will be back!
Loved our dinner at Bolero! For wine we had the flights talk of the town and let’s cool down, one all white, one all red. We started with the ceviche with lobster and shrimp. Entrees the potato crusted halibut and lobster stuffed calamari. The desserts we had the cinnamon churros and chocolate hazelnut cake. Entrees were the best part, loved the wine tasting as an amateur wine drinker. The service was impeccable. We sat on the dog friendly patio which is very spacious and good for parties of all sizes. There are also restrooms with changing stations. Recommend!
The food is undeniably delicious... Pricey and smaller portions than expected, but the taste is worth it. The grilled octopus was possibly the most tender I've ever had and the jicama with the caesar was fresh and refreshing. Paella was a little salty but still very good.
Mark was so personable, attentive and accommodating. We had a table of 6 and he helped recommend amazing paella dishes and desserts. Shout out to our very own George Clooney look alike!
Visited first time for lunch. Food was absolutely outstanding… shrimp, scallops, skirt steak, and crispy potatoes! Server Mark made the meal very enjoyable. Highly recommend this restaurant
Joseph was a fantastic server. He made our first year anniversary very special. Great wine suggestions as well. The food here is phenomenal. Everything was perfect. 4 stars for atmosphere just because it is extremely loud due to the interior design. Worth it though for the food and service.
Above and beyond good or great. Tapas are the right choice. Aj the chef came out to our table and made my mom a Spanish tortilla!! Love this place.
Beautiful winery with great views! Bolero is really good as well. Lots of tapas and other dishes are offered. We got the paella, empanadas and shrimp toast. Absolutely delicious. Closest thing you can get to experiencing tapas and paella from Spain. 10/10 recommend!
From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel special. Then the food started to arrive. Each serving seemed to top the of the previous thing we enjoyed. It is saying something when your dining partner mentioned over and over again after a 3-day trip, this meal and event was his favorite. Don't miss the flourless cake with lemon curd.
My Beautiful Wife and I were celebrating our Anniversary. And The food was Delicious. The Service was Amazing. Atmosphere was romantic and a very nice to share a meal with your spouse. We will be back over and over
Delicious!! Best meal I've ever had in wine country and I've eaten at many of them over the years. The chef is a master, top notch culinary experience. Excellent cocktails too. Everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!! Special occasion place!! Will never forget this night!! Servers were great.
The food was phenomenal. The service was just as great. Logan was awesome and a true pleasure to have as a server. Please recognize Logan and Donnie for their world class service!
My husband and I popped in for lunch, no reservations. They were able to get us a table. We enjoyed the octopus tapas; this was delicious and a large portion. For entrees I had the seafood pasta and my husband had the Chilean Sea bass. Both were wonderful. We then went to their Italian market for two affogatos. I really recommend, my new favorite restaurant in Temecula.
Place has the most beautiful ambiance. Servers and staff are incredible. Food is excellent im sure but we didn't order anything because the amount of options is ridiculously low. We ended up leaving. I made reservations thinking it would be a nice dinner, but when I looked at their menu it was very small. There's only like 8 actual meals. Like 10 appetizers, but 7 million types of wine. The "sides" for an entree werent easily identifiable. With the prices and ambiance I expected variety like cheesecake factory. Cheesecake factory has a book of options of food to literally fit any family member regardless of sophistication. Im starting to get really upset with these upscale places having "literally" 1 page menus using sophisticated and aristocratic wording to describe simple meals. " a jubilee of fire roasted almonds softly laid on a bed of fescue raised BLAH BLAH BLAH"and expecting people to spend hundreds of dollars. Agsin, ambiance is out of this world, but actual food options are very small. I WOULD COME HERE JUST TO WINE TASTE AND get away from house.
Matthew behind the bar was so great. I’m a member and I’ve never had a bad experience. Wine and food are top notch. Plus elevated service. Thank you!! (Louise was great too 😊)
Our server, Mark, was outstanding from start to finish!! He greeted us warmly, anticipated what we needed before we even asked, and made sure every detail of our meal was perfect. He was attentive without being intrusive and offered great recommendations that we loved. Mark’s professionalism and friendly personality truly elevated our dining experience, we left feeling well taken care of. Highly recommend asking for him if you visit! He’s funny for sure!! His humor created a fun atmosphere!!
I wanted to have a nice date night with my wife and go out for dinner. She really likes Spanish food, so I chose to try Bolero at Europa Winery. Driving up was beautiful, and the property is very well kept. We had reservations outside for 745p, so the sun was starting to come down. Their outside area is really nice and is walled in so the wind doesn't bother you. We were quickly led to our seats and we reviewed the menu. There was a candle at the table, but it wasn't lit. Other tables had theirs lit and some didn't. Not a big deal but it caught my eye and I considered this place to be a bit fancier than a normal restaurant. We ended up ordering the Bolero Paella, some empanadas, three styles of Spanish ham and three types of Spanish cheese with some fruit, honey, and nuts. The empanadas were slightly undercooked so they tasted really doughy. I just had a few bites. The sauce thay came with it was good though. The ham and cheeses board was really good. At first, they only brought us the cheese and we had to wait for the waitress to bring the ham. I guess she had misheard or forgotten. Again, not a big deal, but I consider this place to be a bit fancier so just things to note. The paella was okay. I've had worse and had better. The filet mignon in it was cooked really well. They used ground Spanish chorizo. I was looking forward to slices of it. Again, not a big issue on its own, but I wish the description would have stated that. For dessert, I got a coconut flan and my wife ordered churros with a dark chocolate dip. They brought me a banana brulee and my wife her churros. I asked the waitress why that was brought out ans she apologized and said she had brulee on the brain. Then she said we could keep it ans she would pack it up for us. Awesome, I thought! So my coconut flan arrives and it's inside a half a coconut. The flan had a really strong coconut flavor instead of hints or notes of coconut. So if you really like coconut, you'll love it..lol. I also noticed that the meat of the coconut had been cut away. I tried to eat some of the coconut meat, but it tasted like something may have been left on the knife or maybe the meat was going bad. It tasted like poison, lol. I googled it later and it said that l, that taste is due to the coconut starting to spoil or getting moldy. The meat was also really rubbery and you couldn't really cut into it. My wife's churros tasted like they had been fried in grease used to fry chicken. She has one and just left it. So the dessert was a bust. I did eat my flan though. I like coconut and the strong flavor didnt bother me. Once we got the bill, I saw that they STILL charged me for the brulee. Ha! Needless to say that this will be my first and last time trying Bolero. I might still try the winery. I had sangria and it was delicious. My wife had a red wine and it was the best red wine shes ever had. Makes sense since they're a winery, lol. The waitress was nice enough amd was pleasant. Maybe it was because it was the end of the night she was off her game. If it had been a regular restaurant, her service would have been just fine. Again. I felt this was a more upscale place and the service just didn't line up with the expectation. Our bill was $214. I never complain to the waitresses or send food back. She was lovely, but my expectation just didn't match up. We'll try Luke's on Front street next time!
Wine was great. Cool atmosphere but had to wait to get the table even though we had a reservation. Food was fresh and delicious
Great tasting food. I did not feel it was overpriced either.
Went here with a friend for drinks and tapas. We sat at the bar. The bartender was personable and made delicious espresso martinis. The tapas we ordered tasted ok. I didn’t enjoy the ambiance too much, a bit small and crowded for my taste. I also didn’t like the strong smell of seafood that lingered throughout the corridor and in the restaurant. I’ve been here a few times and always noticed that same smell.
Came here for a dinner for two on a Sunday night. Definitely recommend making a reservation, as the place gets very busy. The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing, which was a plus. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite match the price point ($50–$100 per person). We had higher expectations for both the food and table service. We started with the Chicharrónes, which came out room temperature. The flavor was okay, but the texture was tougher than expected. I’d give it a 6.5/10. For entrées, we ordered the Chicken Roulade (7/10) and Lamb Chops (7.5/10), which took about 45 minutes to come out. The overall atmosphere felt chaotic, and the restaurant seemed understaffed. I wouldn’t recommend this spot if you’re looking for a relaxed date night.
The mushroom and octopus tapa dish are good! Skip the pork bellies. Scallop is okay. Burnt Orange Cheesecake is good. Skip the Warm Flourless Chocolate Cake. I'll return to give the paellas a try next time. (Please like this review is you fine it useful. Thanks!)
Service seems friendly and attentive on my visit. Can't say the same for others on Yelp who have complained lack of. Chicharons was covered in some kind of sauce. Standalone the appetizer would have been a homerun. Paella lacked the soccarat. Was not my favorite. Best part of the meal was the banana creme brulee for dessert.
This was the worst dinner we have ever had. We spent $200 for overpriced tapas and awful main courses. The combination of the food was confusing. We had a Caesar salad salad, but wrapped in jicama. The scallops were supposed to be seared, but were not and was in a a red sauce that tasted like store brand spaghetti sauce. We had the mushrooms which included sauteed and fried mushrooms, but it did not go well together. We had the lamb and asked for medium rare/medium and it came out raw. The Chilean seabass was marinated in orange sauce. It was disappointing to spend that much and no one apologized for how bad the food was. We do not recommend this restaurant. The couple next to us ended up leaving before ordering because the food that was coming out was unappetizing.
I had high expectations for this place. For starters we had a server named Matthew. Not a good server at all. We waited 20 minutes before he even came over, I had gone to the bar ordered a drink and was half done by time he came. I expressed I was dissatisfied with the wait & his only response was “well I’m here now” no apologies or anything. Water took a while too, it was my mom’s 70th celebration and received a poor experience. Food came out cold, I expressed that to my server and he didn’t say anything so I just asked for a box. The server was missing in action the entire time. He knew I was dissatisfied because he always have a cynical laugh. My mom who uses a walker had to go find him to even pay our bill. My mom ordered her steak medium and it came out well. We didn’t send it back. Due to the poor service & food quality, I will not be going back. It is my first and last time.
Beautiful atmosphere nice place for sure BUT service was the absolute WORST and when ordering one of the most expensive things on the tapa style menu “surf n turf Paella” and the “seafood Paella”…. sooooo BLAND and Tasteless And not much meat at all, you would figure for $100+ each would come stacked full of meat and fish, but definitely not the case very very very disappointed but again a very beautiful atmosphere! Oh and the Dusty dirty parking lot was super fun in my freshly detailed vehicle
Updating my review. Do NOT bother making a reservation as you will still need to wait over an hour. Completely ridiculous!!! Clearly management does not know what they are doing. Skip the brunch as it is very under whelming. Only go when you are able to order from the menu. Excellent food and service both times I have visited. The ceviche has a great flavor with whole shrimp. We all prefer the seafood paella over the chicken and Spanish sausage paella. Everyone agrees the Brussel sprouts were the best we ever had. So filled with flavor! They have a really good sangria too. The only reason for 4 stars is the overwhelming seafood smell when you first arrive. And an extremely rude bus person on first visit.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a classy atmosphere or an authentic food experience. I booked Bolero for my birthday dinner and was very disappointed. The restaurant was extremely crowded on a Saturday evening, loud, and chaotic, with many guests already visibly intoxicated by 6 PM. Our table was damaged and staff had trouble fixing it. When the food arrived, it was cold and lacked flavor and authenticity. The staff appeared overwhelmed; our waiter, Pam, was clearly very stressed, which made the experience uncomfortable overall. If you’re well-traveled and familiar with authentic Spanish tapas, this restaurant will likely disappoint. The food and overall experience felt more like a watered-down imitation than a genuine Spanish tapas restaurant.
Bunch of drunks and fake wealthy posers everywhere 😆 🤣 the food was meh and the waitresses completely forgot about my family and I 😆 until I flagged down another server/waitress to finally get our server back to serving us 🤪 SMH. So anyway like I said the food is nothing to write home about I could have easily made some Rice A Roni at home because the plate I ordered literally was just that but everyone else on our table was disappointed in the service and quality of the food. Never will go back to that restaurant but this was just my family's and my bad experience so it doesn't mean everyone else will have a bad experience so give it a shot and see how it goes and hopefully it's better than my experience so anyway 1 star from me.
