Amazing food, very fresh tasting. Service some of the best I've seen in a long time. Wait staff always attentive, not playing on their cell phones or ignoring you. Owners come out and talk to the guests. Classic Italian music playing in the background. Restaurant has a warm feel as if your in a beautiful Villa, not an overpriced overdressed type of atmosphere. Would absolutely go there again with family or to take a loved one for an amazing experience.

The atmosphere here is amazing. Authentic Italian dining at it's finest. Everything about this place is fine dining. The food was beyond this world. I had the veal saltimbocca and the veal was divine. My wife had the lobster ravioli d'argastano and it was the best seafood dish I've had in years. The mussels in white wine sauce was better than the one I make and I could've eaten 2 bowls of just that and been happy with my meal. The food is seriously cooked to perfection. The staff are so friendly, professional, and efficient. The came out in perfect intervals and the staff was on top of everything. I never once had to even look around for our waitress, she was like a wizard, also exactly where she was needed when she was needed. I'll admit I was a little hesitant with some of the prices, as I grew up in Franklin square which is a very Italian neighborhood with good food; however the food was definitely worth the price of our meal. You definitely get more than what you pay for here, quality service, delicious food, and an enjoyable night out is a gorgeous restaurante.

I probably shouldn't tell you guys this I had the finest calamari fresh abs delicious served with zucchini. Nicest servers we've had in a long time. Owner stopped by our table 3×. Word of advice wear a shirt with sleeves- we will definitely be going back there

I always go with my family to Antons and staff of my local cleaning service. I recently went to La Volpe for lunch. It was Absolutely Outstanding!!! Myself and friends felt like it was a great Sunday at home with great food happy people and staff. Life is better at La Volpe!!! We will be back soon. Thank you!!!

Dinner was wonderful. The staff were on point. I ate the shot rib special which was delicious. For an appetizer I had a tuna avocado dish that was a delicious combination of flavore with a soy sauce and garlic that was reminiscent to a sushi dish but with an Italian flavor well worth tasting.

I like eating here. Or take out. A well established pizza and restaurant with very good food, cooked and served by good people, a family owned business. It’s not easy finding good pizza these days but you will definitely get it here, as well as a good vibe, great service, and a nice atmosphere. The best in the area.

It was our first time here . We were given a gift certificate for Christmas. The food was excellent. It was the best veal I've had in a long time. Service was great, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We will be back and bringing friends with us.

Went for a baby shower and was not disappointed. From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out we were treated with the utmost respect by our waitress, Bianca, and waiter, name slips me now. Food was delish, and service was great! I wish we lived closer because I would definitely be a regular.

I was at a luncheon with a fixed menu. When my salad came, it had blue cheese rather than Gorgonzola and I did not want it. The chef made me my own soup in exchange. And it was all extremely good!

My husband I just returned to La Volpe for an early dinner. We don’t go here often and then question why we don’t after the delicious dining experience we always have here. The quality of the food preparation, the pride taken by the chefs, and the appearance of the courses is outstanding. The time between courses allows for the food to settle. You are not rushed through your meal and dinner becomes an event. Part of this experience is the waiter. This evening we were so fortunate to have Yaberson. He added to the whole experience of our evening. He is very, very knowledgeable of the food selections. He is actually the manager but was filling in as a waiter tonight. His description of the food items, suggestions for the future, and attention to our courses made us feel special and well cared for. He is truly an asset to La Volpe. We will return more often in the future. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Ambiance isn’t wonderful but the food makes up for it. Everything tasteful and spectacular. I’d highly recommend the tuna tar tar. Reservation recommended- place gets full.

I came in tonight with my family for the first time and it won’t be our last! The service was outstanding , really the best we’ve had in a long time. Bianca got everything right! The calamari she recommended for us was literally the best we’ve ever had! We will definitely be coming back here again.

We recently hosted a family celebration at La Volpe. We were given a private room. The staff was wonderful! The food was delicious! Now, 3 days later, people are still telling me what a wonderful time they had and how good the food was! There wasn’t a single dish that wasn’t enjoyed! Way to go La Volpe! You did an awesome job for our 50th Anniversary Celebration!

We made reservations to go for dinner, our friend Ann Maria Villa was singing. I had grilled artichoke hearts over arugula with shaved Parmesan cheese on top. My wife had burrata cheese, with balsamic vinegar drizzle over arugula salad. For my entree I had "Gnocchi Bolognese". It was very fresh and the sauce was very tasty. My wife had the lobster and shrimp ravioli in a lobster pink cream sauce. She ate her whole meal so it must have been good. My wife for dessert a double espresso, and Italian cheesecake. I had amaretto on the rocks with creme brulee. Overall the atmosphere was very nice, the wait staff was very attentive, and our food came out hot.

Celebrated our anniversary with family here and all 5 of us cleaned our plates. Delicious drinks, amazing food, amazing service and a great atmosphere.

Fantastic! Franco and his staff put the client experience first. Warm, joyful atmosphere. Terrific grilled artichokes, caprese, salmon with lobster sauce, mouthwatering eggplant, topped with the absolute best tiramisu, both traditional and uniquely theirs- we were served a selection with espresso. Truly wonderful meal on a cold, dreary day!! Grazie!!

This place is truly one of Long Island's best Italian restaurants! The food is prepared with love and care and it comes through in their presentation and flavor. The selections are modest, but the recipe mastery and premium ingredients involved is second to none. Pair all of this with a wonderful ambience, great cocktail/wine offering and conscientious service, and you've got something special. My wife and I had an appetizer, 2 pastas and a dessert. My family has never had a bad experience or a bad meal here at La Volpe.. These guys know pizza and they know fine Italian dining.. Great attitudes and great service from the staff here, literally every time we stop in for dinner.. The brick oven is always going and the pizza, either by the slice or pie, is some of the best on Long Island without a doubt. The owners are good people and have a long and rich history with this area.. They’ll always greet you with a smile and take good care of you.. There’s takeout and seating in the pizza shop in the back, but for the real experience you should be seated up front in the dining room.. An excellent menu and well trained staff will make your time spent here well worth it!! If you’re looking for delicious authentic Italian food at a reasonable price, La Volpe is definitely your place!!

My two friends and I went to La Volpe for the first time last Saturday, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful—warm and welcoming—and our waiter was pleasant, kind, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He was also patient with all of my questions, which I really appreciated. The food was delicious, and the Aperol Spritz was made to perfection—just like the ones I’ve had in Italy. For appetizers, entrées, and desserts, the three of us shared everything so we could taste as much as possible. We started with the fried calamari and zucchini, burrata, and the Tonno Grigliato con Avocado. All of the appetizers were excellent. I’m not usually a fan of burrata, but this one was very good. The calamari was cooked perfectly—I didn’t even need the sauce, just a squeeze of lemon. The tuna appetizer was amazing. For dinner, we ordered the Gnocchi Ripieni, Ravioli con Polpa d’Aragosta, and the Crispy Salmon. All three entrées were outstanding. I’ve only had gnocchi a few times, and only once did I truly enjoy it, but La Volpe completely changed my opinion. Their gnocchi is light and airy, with no heaviness or chewiness at all. Our waiter mentioned it’s imported from Italy, which makes sense. I never order salmon, but I’m so glad one of us did—this was the best salmon I’ve ever had. The skin was perfectly crispy, and the fish was moist and cooked to perfection. The lobster ravioli was also very good. For dessert, we shared the hazelnut gelato, panna cotta, and crème brûlée. The standout was definitely the hazelnut gelato. I had never tried panna cotta before and really enjoyed it. I generally don’t like crème brûlée, but this was the best one I’ve had—thin, crisp caramelized shell with great flavor. The only downside was that the table for the three of us was a bit small, considering how much food and how many drinks we ordered. It made maneuvering plates a little challenging. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend La Volpe. We were all very happy to have dined here and plan on coming back often. I just wish we had remembered to take pictures of the desserts!

Excellent food. Friendly service. A bit pricey but a very nice atmosphere for a casual dinner in the pizzeria side or even a nice date in the dining area. They give you very large serving sizes for the pasta, so it's well worth it if you have a little extra to spend.

Food and service are always very good. Restaurant is quite large but still manages to feel intimate thanks to the decor and furnishings. Specials of day usually offer interesting options that allow repeat customers to try new dishes - but you can't go wrong with the standard menu items. I only wish we could save some room for dessert, but the ample portion sizes never allow it.

First time at La Volpe's last night and it was delicious! I had the ink black linguine with shrimp & New Zealand clams in a light red sauce. The wait staff and hostess were attentive and friendly. Only suggestion would be the bread should be warm & seasoning in the oil. Otherwise it was fantastic! Everyone else in our party also loved the food, service & ambiance. We will definitely be back. They also offer a lunch menu!

The food was good but as warned by the waiter, it takes a long time to get. On another note, do not ask for a Bloody Mary. They did not have V8 or a mix. We tried letting them make It was with something but we think they used tomato sauce. It was pretty bad.

My family had ordered Alfredo pies and me the gluten free pizza . Well my family absolutely loved the Alfredo pies . They raved about how good it was. Unfortunately the gluten free was not so good . I have celiac and have eaten a lot of gluten free pies . This one was one of the worst sorry to say. So if you’re looking for gluten free pie this is not the place to get it. If you looking for good pizza i would recommend my family loved it.

We have been going to La Volpe for about a year, at the beginning I really liked it , food is very good, large portions, attentive service. We would go there about once a week, or two weeks. I would consider us regulars. The last few times we went we were disappointed ( before March when they had to close for lockdown) because we asked for a simple substitution and both times we were told they wouldn't do it. We have had a birthday dinner for a table of 10, the bill was well over $1500-$2000, dinners for 2 two, dinners for 4 , so we spend regularly, so I would expect a simple substitution to be accommodated. Food is good, service good , but that was disappointing.

La Volpe has a great pizza. We dined here few times before pandemic and wanted to visit again after clamming and fishing in the Moriches. We enjoyed “the Lenny”- pancetta, arugula, truffle oil and mozzarella pizza. Dough was cooked perfect and all other ingredients were tasty. Loved chick pea salad with cucumber and tomatoes. However the veal entree was not what we expected. It was gamey and not so fresh. Service was friendly and efficient. Hostess were welcoming and bus staff constantly fill iced water. Overall we had a great dinner but will stay with pizza and salad.

Three Stars is being generous !!! First off.... I never did receive the drink I ordered.. Fifteen people running around, and not one of came over to ask us if we needed something! I don’t think I’ve ever walked away from a restaurant feeling hungry...... Tonight I Did! The portions were absolutely minuscule! And for this it cost me over a Hundred bucks... And then the Audacity to charge me extra for putting it on my card....... THE LAST TIME😡 Four lousy pieces of bread on the table for Three people😡 NOBODY asked us if we needed anything 😡 Noisy Environment!!!! Felt like was eating in a School Cafeteria 😡

Good food and very attentive staff... But the portions are quite small and the menu selections are very limited... If I’m spending that kind of money (This place ain’t cheap) I want to quench my hunger, not be served a meal that would leave a canary bird feeling empty... And how about a larger selection of appetizers and main courses to choose from? I find myself spending 20 minutes looking at a menu and finding nothing I’m really all that thrilled about to order. As I said, the food is good, the service is good, but the lack of food and food choices leads me away from this place to seek other options.

Very disappointing experience. I have eaten at this restaurant many times including a few Christmas Eves. My husband and I have always thought this was a special experience eating at this restaurant and have treated many friends and relatives to a fine meal here. Tonight was very different. The tuna appetizer was as good as always. The special calamari app was okay. The special dinner pasta dish just didn't have much taste-a tuna and crab mix with scallions and a mediocre cream sauce and rigatoni noodles. I was tasting a fork full of my appetizer when the main courses were placed on our table! This timing was awful. We had no time between courses and this really ruined our evening. I felt as if we were force feeding ourselves to try and eat our dinner while it was fresh. As this was also a celebration for an special event, the evening was just a disappointment. We look forward to the dessert selection but due to the way our dinner was rushed, we just left. As we looked around, many tables were enjoying a leisurely meal. We felt cheated of an evening we had looked forward to all week.

This is an update of a previous review… having recently moved to Center M Anton’s was my first experience in the local Pizza Scene and I may have been a little hasty in my first review… Overall compared to other nearby Pizzerias I rate Anton’s no better than a 3… WHY YOU ASK? Relative to other Pizza Places their pizza is only okay, pretty sparse and you gotta beg for anything more interesting (they don’t have a decent display/selection available)… it’s hard to order in their confined space and if there are more than two people it’s a confused mess… then you gotta go to a separate line to get your drinks… Yes, the staff is nice and the ambiance is nice, if you are the only people there it’s probably okay otherwise disorganized… when your food is ready you gotta go back to the counter to retrieve it… Overall value rating pretty low due to the competition in the area… for myself… I’m going back to #1 on my list… I want to work with friendly, organized people… know I’m getting great food at a fair price and leave with a smile on my face!

My meal came with house salad. I asked for cesear salad - waitress said it's a 6 $ upgrade. Then same asked if i wanted red sauce with penne or francese sauce. I opt for francese. Anyhow bill comes they charged 13$ for salad. $2.95 for each penne that had francese sauce even though we ordered chicken and veal francese. Doesn't say uncharge on menu anywhere neither did server. I called in am spoke with manager who said they don't make small ceasar salad ( really) sorry about the charge and I will talk with server about giving you wrong info about price and not telling you about extra charge for the same sauce we were already eating. Well you lost a customer for nonsense. Food was good but when you nickel and diime me and say oh well. Keep your food.

My experience here was decent, but had a few tweaks I would make. To start, the bread was really good, especially with their olive oil. This bread was definitely better than the average restaurant bread, and I reminded myself to save room for the meal. To start, I had the friend calamari/zucchini appetizer which had its pros and cons. The pro would be the calamari which is the main part of the dish. This was delicious with and without the marinara. The fried Zucchini was a bit of a let down for me. As you can see in the picture, it was pretty lightly fried and by my definition, that is not fried. Also, calamari is more expensive than zucchini which took up half of the order. I definitely think they should charge less if there is less calamari due to some zucchini there. The price they charged was fair if the entire serving was the more expensive ingredient, just something to point out. Also, don’t be afraid to really fry it! I don’t eat veggies unless they are fried so when I see that word on a menu, my eyes light up. For my main course, I got the americana pizza. This was pretty good and they gave a good amount of toppings as you can probably see. Something about that woodfire oven gives it a really nice flavor. If I returned, I would probably try a different pizza, or their chicken parm which looked delicious. I liked the ranch, and they gave a good amount of toppings. I was happy with the service, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Our waitress was really nice, and we did not have to call her over once; she was very attentive to our table. I think they overdid it with the water refills. My family and I were trying to have a conversation, but repeatedly after a few sips of water they refill the glasses again. I understand this was well intended, but it got to the point where they were pretty much standing there waiting to fill more water. This got a bit intrusive as we were not really comfortable with that much of our conversation being heard, but it feels a little weird to have someone always standing over me while I am eating. I find myself pausing the meal, waiting for them to be done (for now) then getting back to it. That same pause applies to our conversation as well. I know the workers are not listening in, it would just be nice to not have someone standing over us and constantly pouring. I do not drink water, but other people at my table do and they agreed there was a bit too much hovering. Overall, I left satisfied and was pretty full. I will reiterate their chicken parm looked really good; that may be what I go for if I do return. Overall, this was a decent experience with some room for improvement.

Many years ago I loved this spot. It just doesn’t do it for us anymore. We’ve had some really bad service and I’ve witnessed that it comes down to the management in the restaurant. The pizza side of things is run better.

Ate here during Covid and we were treated poorly. Despite the restaurant only having a few patrons, we were sat by the patio door. People constantly brushing past us. Indignant, I demanded another seat for me and my daughter (who are African American). I was so angry, I simply could not enjoy my food. Be wary of where you spend your money. Plenty of other restaurants that will treat ALL patrons with the utmost respect.

Came to la volpe for dinner with my husband. It’s fancy in there and our waiter was very friendly. But the chicken parm we both ordered came with thin slices with what seemed like a whole jar of sauce poured onto the plate making it soggy. My penne and sauce tasted like it was straight out of the box and jar. Drinks were not the best and very strong, if you’re into that, but we barely even touched them and that’s unusual for us. We also got a bread basket with three tiny bite size rolls. Very disappointing for the price you pay. Honestly Olive Garden is better

Great food when it finally came out an hour after we ordered it, 3 tables came sat, ate and paid before we got our main course, then to top it all off bill came I give my card, waitress swipes my card for a different amount higher than what I initially was given, then hides the receipt with the extra charge on it. If you’re teaching your waitress to deceive people I will NEVER return to this restaurant! Absolutely deplorable service!! Only giving 2 stars because the food was good.

2 slices and a soda for 9.65, great price. The pizza although is all cheese and doughy mush. It’s hard to describe this pizza but think of a slice you could eat with no teeth. For a wood-fired pizza, there is zero wood fire taste. It wasn’t cooked enough and too low of a temperature. This pizza is the equivalent to a steak with no sear. It’s ruined. The hunt continues to find good pizza in the area.

This has been my restaurant of choice for such a long time...until tonight. I ordered a large garden salad with grilled shrimp. It came with lettuce only, 5 shrimp and they charged more than $17. When I called to inform that the order was incorrect, and the price didn't seem to match what I received. They became rude and each staff person blamed another person. From the order taker to the chef to the person working the register. I suppose I'll be ordering from Brother’s Four from now on.

Service was mediocre at best. Food wasn't quite mediocre. Gluten-free pizza was watery and mushy. Lobster ravioli simply okay. The shrimp and scallops were over cooked. The cappuccino and espresso tasted burnt. We won't be back.

Ordered take out. The large pizza pie was really a medium sized pizza and was so limp you had to use a fork. The greek salad was just lettuce with a only few olives which had pits. I asked Sal for a little Parmesan cheese on the side and was told it would cost another $2.50 plus tax, even though my bill was over $50. I will never go back.I will only recommend it to people I don't like.

I truly love to eat here. Been there a few times. Well last night I had a terrible experience. We had wine, appetizers, dinner and desert. We were there for 1-1/2 hours. I was literally putting the desert into my mouth when the waitress came over and told me I needed to leave. They needed my table. There was three of us. We paid good money and there were other people just sitting at there tables done and not eating. I had food in my mouth. It took them 15 minutes to get me my desert. That was rude and disgusting. I have no respect for them. It’s unfortunate because I do like their food but I cannot bring myself to ever give them my money again. Thumbs down!

Well this place was great two years ago. Not any more. Waitress was incompetent. We were a party of four couples . Waitress would not allow us to split the tickets according to each couple. She wouldn't bring a serving spoons for the appetizers she said they weren't any. . I had chicken marsala which has to be made correctly and with the right amount of sauce. The mushrooms were quartered instead of sliced and there was hardly any sauce to cover the chicken. Finally when the bill came there was a charge for the credit card use. And to boot we can all use One credit. No one was happy.

So just ate here. Waitress brings soup before your drink. Doesn't know how to explain dishes. Have so many times. Expensive for what you get. Ordered something I really disliked. Didn't take a second bite. Manager came over and said sorry can't take it off Bill (mind you didn't ask for it to come off bill) then asked if I wanted it wrapped to go. Seriously just told you I hated the dish. Nothing wrong with the dish except most important part your customer didn't like it. Stay away. Not worth it. Funny another small business lost a customer for 25 bucks. By the way my bill was almost 100 for two of us each time we go. Sad. Thats why small businesses are dying and la volpe should do so immediately. A very dissatisfied customer. I gave this place 200 a week almost. Horrible and should be ashamed.

I went to this awful place a few days ago. My friend misunderstood a menu item and when it arrived he asked if he could replace it with something else, the waitress looked at him like he had 3 heads and would not do it. She eventually got the owner to sort it out so I was not worried. However, the owner came out in a rage and started shouting at us, getting really close to our faces (both rude and also a covid risk). I have never been so disrespected at a restaurant. I wanted to leave right away but he would not let us leave unless we paid, even though it was bad and he was extremely threatening and rude. Do not go to this place.

Let me start off by saying the food was amazing so the review has nothing to do with the food and everything to do with the service. My fiancé and I went in tonight to enjoy a meal for our first time at La Volpe the food didn’t disappoint but the service was subpar. We went into the restaurant in our “day off clothes” for me a sweatshirt jeans and crocs for him shorts a t-shirt and crocs, around halfway through our meal we realized the service we were receiving was far less than those around us. Others received refills, cheese for their pasta, pepper for their dishes and prompt service while we received 15+ minutes between our services and no offers for refills, cheese, pepper or anything. We spent 150$+ including a tip and it’s sad that despite us spending the same as those around us we received a diminished overall experience which will lead us to not return despite how amazing the meal was.

Place I nice inside. Food is horrific and my god overpriced. 3 people. 3 pieces of bread. $34 pasta dish with 4 shrimp. 6 raviolis is filling?. Clams made so salty that couldn't be eaten. The smallest glass of wine I ever seen. $16. Food, service and prices are just insane. Slap in the face with the service. Never again and avoid this place.

We went for a birthday dinner for my husband. Food is always excellent. Waitress was somewhat scarce. We were charged for a coffee refill and the cups are small to begin with. Never experienced that before.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with the staff at Anton restaurant. I ordered a very large delivery (large pan of wings, 20 hero’s and 10 specialty pies) for my daughter’s birthday party, feeding 50 guests. The delivery arrived 25 minutes earlier than scheduled for, we asked the delivery man if there was any way we could have something delivered to keep the food hot since the party didn’t start for another 25 min (recommended by our server) and food wasn’t supposed to be served for another hour. He gave my myself, my mother, server and husband an unbelievable attitude and started taking the food out of our home. Next, we called the restaurant and Frank answered the phone.. thinking and expecting help or answers, Frank was disrespectful and upsetting to me just minutes before my daughters birthday party began. He provided zero solutions and refused to deliver a heating device recommended by our server (which he confirmed the restaurant has access to). We have been ordering from this restaurant to cater our Christmas Eve dinner since the opening. After this experience, we can never order from or recommend this restaurant again. The behavior and lack of respect or problem solving skills of the staff was astonishing. After the way we were mistreated, the simple 25 minute early delivery was the least of our stress before my daughter’s 2nd birthday party, which should have and could have been easily fixed with basic consumer service. Truly, truly, upsetting. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I ordered a grandma's pie. When I went to pick it up it was a personal size grandma's pie. I said that I had ordered a regular pie and they said that if you don't state "family size" they make a personal pie. I said that I didn't know that, and that now I would not have enough food for my company (I had ordered other items also, but the grandma's pie was the main item.) **The young man was no help, offered no apology for the 'mix up', had an attitude because as he said I should've known their policy. I explained this was the first time I had ordered take out form them-- that I was trying it out. Sadly, he was rude and indifferent. His only offer to remediate the situation was that I could wait 20 min while they made another pie, which I could not do. He was rude and dismissive. Food was overcooked and not at all as hoped for. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!

I was there with My Daughter and My Grandson and Grand Daughter. This was going to be a repeat of my dinner there from Feb 7th.The waitress would not let me order what I wanted! I wanted the Veal Saltinbocca and a side order of Linguini with white Clam sauce. I was forced to order Angel Hair with Garlic and Oil instead. I got a salad as well. When the Veal came it was 4 greasy pieces floating by itself in Oil and my salad was Ok. The Veal was tough and I only took one try and I did not like it! The spahagetti was floating in grease as well. Two weeks ago I got Filay Minion and a side order of Linguini w White Clam Sauce which was excellent. Can not be repeated! I was told. The waitress was not very responsive at all. Your Menu said you can order whatever you want but not what I wanted!
