We have only started getting deliveries from The Green Shell and absolutely love it! Fresh and delicious each and every time. Outshines all other Chinese deliveries we had. I will keep you posted if we ever go there for a sit down meal. Can only measure flavor when compared to Plumb Blossom. But for now this place is our favorite Chinese delivery place.

Green Shell is the best for takeout. Never had a bad meal, prices are average or better, food very good, portions are very generous, service is always polite and professional, phone to delivery driver. Maybe could give an extra fortune cookie or two but no complaints.

First time trying it and we will be back! Shrimp and snow pea was the best we’ve had and the dumplings were awesome. Only complaints would be I wanted more dumplings (6 to an order) and the orange chicken sauce was a bit bland but still a good spot. Will be back!

I live on Hoosick street and this is one of my go to spots for Chinese food, I've ordered from here multiple times and every time i have ordered the food was great. Example: fried chicken cook well never burnt or over cooked. Any of the fried rice always flavorful and pack with meat and veggies and they give a generous amount. Beef and broccoli and shrimp and broccoli are very tasty but just like most Chinese restaurant they will give you more veggies than meat. Overall I cant say the food has ever been nasty in my opinion that is I very much enjoy the food. Service wise they have good and bad days I always give them the benefit of the doubt because of the location and individuals they have to deal with on a day to day basis, the counter lady has been rude before to me but it never felt personal, came off as shes just over the day and tired of the people and want to go home. Again we are near the Ghetto so I can understand lol. Atmosphere i give a 2 star just because the few times I've been in there the guest stink and the tables will sometimes need to be wiped down and the seats aren't the cleanest.

Rarely do I give a place one star, but this place earned it. I went for lunch, it was not busy and I ordered the General Tso's chicken with white rice. Add a can of Pepsi and the total cost was $7. Not bad. The food arrived fast and hot and looked okay so I was hopeful. The counter women was not very friendly, but I was looking for a good lunch not a friend. The rice was terrible and tasted like instant rice. The chicken was awful and I actually spit it out (into my napkin of course) I bit into a few other pieces in case I had a bad one but they all were terrible. The flavor was not right at all. Do yourself a favor and go up the street to 'A Dragon' instead. They are excellent.

Very rude! I ordered mixed steamed vegetables, shrimp eggroll, and white rice. But instead of having green bell peppers and onions and a little bit of broccoli it was nothing but broccoli broccoli broccoli.when I call to have them rectified my meal he instantly had an attitude and he said you didn't say if it was small and large my take on this matter is it shouldn't matter if it was small and large it should be mixed vegetables. so what happened to my steam bell peppers and onions along with the carrots mushrooms along other stuff but it is basically broccoli now I'm forced to eat this meal that I'm not happy with and I wasted my money. the guy hung up on me three times when I was just asking him if he could just give me less broccoli with the bell peppers and onions I just wanted him just to fix it but instead. I warned not to eat from there, I should have just listened.

Do not go here because the manager does not listen to you if something is wrong with your food . He will take it as matter of preference. The sweet and sour chicken is always rough and overcooked first time batter was soggy second time batter was too hard and the are cutting corners with the meat. There’s hardly no meat inside and all you’re eating is fried flour.. the manager hung up on me and and has a smart mouth.

The egg roll was rubbery and burnt at the ends tasted like it sat under a light all day and then microwaved Left a very strange after taste in my mouth. I Couldn't finish the food. Very disappointing. The quality has really gone down .hust didnt seem fresh or freshly made I will not be ordering from them anymore.

Last time I ate here got extremely sick from food poisoning, both ends for 24hrs. Next day was so lethargic and weak. Knew immediately something was wrong when my stomach was hard and felt nauseous about 1 hour or so after eating. Had to be old crab rangoon meat that was sitting out then fried making it seem fresh. They gave a full refund, but the experience ruined Chinese food me for a long time

If you want to order Chinese food in Troy, order it from someone in India, be gaslight about why they can’t check the status of your order after an hour (they’re not sitting in the store) and then be called a liar by the owner until you show him proof or wait times, this is your place! The food is delicious but I will never order from this outsourced customer service store.
