This place is exactly what you'd expect from the hospitality-focused Coffeebar experience. The food is amazing, with plenty of healthy options, and their coffee is to die for. On top of that, they have a solid selection of dairy-free options including pay and almond milk. Highly recommend tasting one of their energy bites or one of their baked goods... The ham and cheese croissants remind me of some of the loaded croissants I used to eat in Brazil - yum!
This is a fantastic little coffee shop. Top notch. Great coffee, food and customer service. Highly recommend.
Haven’t had much food, but what we’ve had has been good. Our family stops here every time we’re in the area. They have a nice selection of fun food, GF options, excellent coffee and exceptional chai. It’s a must stop for us.
I popped in for a coffee, love the atmosphere. There is a great vibe there. I am definitely coming back to hang out with my laptop, and try the Superfood Salad.
2025-review: they offer several single origin coffees. The barrister will discuss them with you. great place! Better the drink-coffee-do-stuff as they stopped offering single origin coffees. 2024-review: You don't expect high-quality coffee in a place like Truckee. There are three espressos to choose from. They had a very good single origin (that might not be there if you come). Skilled barista. Almond Milk. What else do you need? Oh... yes, and sitting outside is pretty amazing because it is off the main street and not so loud. Definetly a good spot to hang out and enjoy coffee.
The low-level chairs are awful for back support. Otherwise, this is a great cafe! Beautiful light, ambience. Wifi, plugs, ample seating for doing computer work. Excellent coffee and baked goods. The music is a little too loud for my preference if you have work calls, but you could go on the patio.
Cant say much about the food as I didnt have any but came here all three days for coffee during the afternoon. It is local and off the main strip in downtown Truckee. Youll find it nestled in the back street of Jibboom next to a well curated outdoor clothing retailer that just opened a year ago. Seating outside is ample and indoor is cozy. I like there variations of flavored Lattes but my go to is the Americano. Go get yourself an espresso after a couple hours on the strip before heading back to the cabin. Its a great way to decompress.
Coffeebar is one of those places that bring me so much joy! The staff, the coffee, and the vibe are always top notch. A lot of mountain towns have sub par coffee shops, so when I found Coffeebar, I was so delighted! They take great care in brewing perfect espresso and offer a variety latte drinks. Don’t sleep on their baked goods either, because everything is fantastic and made in-house. I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area (but honestly, it’s even worth coming from anywhere in north Tahoe to spend the morning!
Coffeebar Truckee is pure magic! Cozy mountain vibe, super friendly baristas and cappuccino served in classic ceramic cups (not paper cups like most American coffee shops). Loved their bakery offerings like scones, danishes etc. I’ll certainly visit when I’m next in Truckee area ! ☕❄️ #CoffeebarTruckee
We came here for breakfast, and got the avocado toast, chorizo burrito, tea latte, and vanilla latte. Everything tasted really good. Knocked one star because the prices are really high -- the most expensive lattes we've had in a while, and even the food servings were very small compared to how much they cost. Overall, though, we were happy with the food. The ambience was quiet, clean, airy, and cozy, just like what you would want from a cafe. And the server was fast, friendly, and efficient too.
Who doesn’t love a huge cinnamon roll you can easily share with everyone at the table? The coffee was amazing and paired perfectly with it. Conveniently located just off the main street, and the bathrooms were spotless a definite plus when you are traveling with kids.! I can’t wait to come back.
I love this little nook. For me it's very useful to have a place to sit with internet and work on stuff while I'm in Truckee waiting for other things to unfold. I actually only rarely buy coffee, but they have a decent if pricey selection of other things and great service.
Im solely reviewing based on parking. Terrible parking situation at this location. This location looks cool but it's dark inside. I used the bathroom first and came back out to join the line where I kept getting bypassed by those walking in the door, people didn't want to let me in line and i wasnt going to fight it... I left and went to the location on donner pass instead. Its better.
It was meh, I love drunk coffee do stuff but figured I try something new. It’s okay I wouldn’t go again it’s very loud and crowded which i mean seems good for them but not an atmosphere I like. I ordered a hot chocolate very simple but it had coffee grounds in it which wasn’t very fun for me but by the time I found out I had already left.
Passed through as a first time customers on the way to Tahoe, the barista who took our order wasn’t willing to walk us through recommendations, seemed inconvenienced by us not being familiar with the menu, and rushed us to order. It wasn’t busy, there was no one behind us. As tourists, we would’ve appreciated the novelty specials listed online to be reflected in the shop for ease. We ordered two iced lavender lattes. They didn’t come with lids which we found odd. The coffee has a very balanced, tasty flavor and we appreciated the house made syrups. Had the barista been more kind & helpful, we would’ve had a better experience. We appreciated the pride flag on the door as a queer couple as well.
When we walked in, there was absolutely nobody ahead of us. We ordered our treats and our coffees. The gentleman that helped us with those was lovely. We then walked over to the side where you wait for your coffee..And we waited, and we waited, and we waited. First of all there was nobody even in that section for the first several minutes because she was chatting with somebody in the back. She then slowly walked into the area and continued to talk to that person for another several minutes, never once acknowledging there were people waiting. After that person left someone else walked up to her and they started talking about some guy that had texted her but I guess they had either broken up or he ghosted her or something. I couldn’t get all the drama because I was staring at her, hoping she would start to make our coffee. I would say we were about 10 minutes in now. As she slowly measured the coffee they continued with how she was never going to text him again, etc. I had to walk out. I wanted to get my money back, but my husband has more patience than Job so he waited there while she finished our coffee. I had enough time to go to our truck in the parking lot, get the dog out and walk her a bit down the street before he came out. When he handed me my coffee it was lukewarm, and so was his.. I wish I would have taken them both back and got our money, including the $5 tip. The worst!!!
