Just heard about this place. Looked it up. Everything looked great. So going would be the next step. I went for a pre Valentine's Friday the 13th dinner. When we arrived wasn't to busy but as we sat the place was getting packed. Ordered the chicken kabob to start. And it was tender and delicious. The rice was the other side of plate and it was very flavorful. The waitress was very attentive even though I could tell she was running around the place doing her job. I will becoming back I will try the Italian food next time. Great food, and energy. I would recommend.
Went here for the Persian food, didn't disappoint. Had the fasanjan with some rice and pita with hummus and some chicken skewers. All good, definitely coming back to try more of the Persian menu. You can also get Italian food but I went for the Persian menu.
We got the beff kabob and Chicken Kabob, both delicious, soft and juicy; it comes with rice and grilled vegetables. We also got the Tiramisu and got to enjoy a authentic Turkish coffee!!! Please mind the beautiful views and Liz, Our server was so helpful and kind. We will return humgry for more 😉!
Great food and service. Her name is Happy our waitress was very nice and provided great service with a smile. The Fettuccine with shrimp was delicious with Chanti wine 🍷. Recommend this Restaurant 👌.
We had a wonderful time for my husbands birthday dinner. First time trying it. And we had pizza as entre, hummus and bread, chicken rice and more with spicy chicken skewers and chicken Marsala with a bunch of mushrooms sauteed. Very tasty. Great service and we will be back!
Our server Liz was amazing. I came here with my bf, it was his second time and my first, and she was so detailed at explaining menu items. She also gave great recommendations and checked on us multiple times. Overall she had great energy and was a great server.
This place has my 2 favorite types of foods to eat in one restaurant! I love Italian and Middleastern. The service was awesome. The server was on point. Took care of our every need. Where do I start? The menu was great. It's insane how many different dishes they offer. Everyone at our table was completely satisfied with their choices. It's also a beautiful restaurant. I'd come back over and over and try everything on the menu if I didn't live far away. This was the dining highlight of my trip, I'd have to say. And I've been to some really nice places this week. Now that I'm home I'm writing this review and it was the best out of all of the restaurants I dined at. The Persian ice cream with the rose water in it. Was to die for!
My husband surprised me with lunch at Giuseppe’s, and I had no idea this hidden gem was tucked away in the Upland Hills/San Antonio Heights area. The setting is absolutely beautiful! The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. I was impressed by the layout, they even have private enclosed rooms for special events, which is a nice touch. There’s also a pretty big size outdoor dining area, perfect for enjoying warm summer evenings with the family. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and very helpful, which made the experience even better. The menu had a fantastic variety of dishes, and they also have a separate lunch specials menu. I ordered the lasagna, and my husband went with the beef kabob plate and both were delicious. We had such a great time and are already planning to come back with the kids to enjoy a relaxed dinner on the patio.
It's our 2nd time here we ate here 2 weeks ago for our nieces birthday and we had to come back to try out more entries. Today we had Pizza and let me tell you, it's fantastic. We also got the pasta salad, and the garlic yogurt, and both were very good, last but not least 10 stars to the Chicken Sultani plate, I recommend it with the grilled onion. Taylor out server was great as well. We still need to try out the Italian dishes so we can't wait to go back.
Great food and easy to find secluded location. Service was pleasant and menu selection was great. Food quality was top notch. Price is reasonable. Can't miss with anything on menu.
Amazing Persian food, very authentic and delicious. The place is never empty. I came to this place twice, first time, the service was excellent and the waiter was very attentive. The second time, the restaurant was packed, service was super slow, took forever to have our order ready. I would still recommend it, just avoid coming during crowded times and events.
Being Iranian we only ate the Persian food, which was good and authentic except for being salty, they definitely need to go easy on the salt. All the four different dishes that we ordered were salty. Service was OK, our waitress seemed new and forgetful, we had to ask for almost everything, from a menu to spoons and water and twice for each item. But in general that was OK, there were other waiters that we could ask and get what we wanted.
This was a very cute and quaint place, and the food was pretty decent. The entrees were reasonably priced, but the bastani (ice cream) was almost as much as my ma’s entree, and was a little disappointing compared to other bastani I’ve had. The service was only alright, but it was most likely due to us sitting in the patio area, and the three parties that had been there when we arrived had cleared out, so there was less reason for them to come outside to check on us since the weather was rather warm out. The owner’s cat, Henry, is such a chiller though! He was sleeping off to the side the entire time, minding his own business and being a cool lil dude.
The food here is generally solid and worth the expense. However, I strongly recommend take-out customers check their items before leaving the store. A recent, fairly large order, came with spaghetti and meatballs instead of the eggplant parm that we ordered. The restaurant more or less refused to accommodate and did not refund the order as agreed upon. To make matters worse, when we attempted to eat the spaghetti dish, there was only 1 meatball and it had been cut in half. Perhaps they mistakenly gave us someone else's leftovers. I don't know. So...enjoy the food, but check your orders folks.
My first impression was it was a warm atmosphere. Pretty decorations and fountain made a calm, relaxing surrounding. I had Shrimp Alfredo and it was good, not great. Olive Garden, same dish, tastes better and comes with breadsticks, soup or salad. A much better meal and value.
The homemade doogh was to die for!!! The Persian dishes looked presentable, but the meats lacked flavor (tasted like watered down meat to be honest) and the rice was dry. I loved the in door decorations and our waiter was sweet. Would not recommend this place for good quality Persian food, though, not worth the money.
This place has the worst service by far in the city of Upland. My wife and I decided to finally try this place on a date night. We entered the waiting area and were ignored. Employees are running around like chickens without heads. No eye contact, no professional courtesy. We were finally seated after approximately 20 minutes by the kid working behind the front counter. He walked passed my wife and I and said come on with no emotion or greeting. He walked us to a table and slid the menus onto the table and walked off. I believe he said his name was Ali. I looked at my and we both said let’s go. We didn’t even attempt to sit down. I’ve been a member of the wonderful Upland community for 25 years and the only way to describe Guisseppe’s service is low class awful. I will never go back and will share my experience with every person I know in this community. If you’re looking for great service and Lasagna go see staff at Fratello’s, they received my business last night and it was money well spent.
I had made a reservation for my mother’s birthday party in January for the day of Valentine’s day. The owners took my reservation and said we would have the private room no problem. A week before the reservation, I get a call from the owners took saying they booked out our private room for Valentine’s day reservations and asked if we wanted to cancel. Obviously we said no because it’s too soon for us to find another place for a party of 21! We get to the restaurant and already I’m assuming the owners wife was very rude seating us and telling us “we don’t usually take reservations we have over 100 reservations today”. Ok, then why take my reservation in January? Meanwhile it took two hours for our food to come out. We got there at 5, and the last plate came out past 7:30. As my mother is literally eating her birthday cake the owner decided to come to her and tell her our reservation is for two hours, he has “many people waiting outside” and we have to leave. Mind you no one told us this as we were seated or when we made our reservation, and my mother was not even the one who made the reservation! The audacity and rudeness of the owners put such a sour taste in our mouths. Meanwhile when we left there was literally no one waiting outside….Absolutely do not come here for any important event because it clearly won’t be honored.
We were a group of six dining on the patio today. While everyone else ordered a full meal, I ordered an appetizer. The waiter asked if I wanted before all their food shows up or at the sat. I replied, "make it easy, all at the same time". 45 or so minutes later food shows up except mine. I wait a bit longer, then go inside to find out what's going on. Waiter realizes that he screwed up and replies rather rudely with an attitude. I mentioned that I thought service was bad today and he shoots back with '"I think service's pretty good". We/I dine regularly here on Sundays after church and many of our church members do so as well. Food's always great and so is service, even when they're busy. Steer clear of this new, young, Latino looking waiter, and I hope that management takes note too (as I've already expressed my displeasure to the owner). Peace ✌️
I had really high hopes for this lovely little place on the way up to Mt. Baldy. But I'm not sure if we were forgotten about or what happened but we sat at our table for nearly an hour before getting our food. Which I can understand but the food arrived cold! Pasta and ravioli shouldn't be served cold. The final thing that sealed why we scored so low was the little cockroach that ran by our table. This place clearly has regulars as the staff was visiting with their other tables regularly and the reviews for this place looked good. We tried the 35 and 36 half and half and Luigis special. Our daughter had ravioli as well. Not returning here.
