Hey big shout out to Judy for her outstanding customer service. Less than 30 mins before the restaurant closes she goes out of her way to help us a couple times during our order. I know great customer service, it always happens when people go above and beyond the expected customer service. Especially so close to closing time. Hats off to Judy and the great staff at Legend Burgers.
Being from CO, Legends is a MUST see place. The decor inside is very retro and has an old-school feel with all the cars and license plates on the wall. The menu itself is massive, so there is a full array of options for those sensitive to gluten all the way to those who wanna hearty sourdough sandwhich. I had the Legends Omlette and it was DIVINE. The plates have SO much food so you will definitely be getting your money's worth. The quality is superb. They have some new smoothies that are HIGHLY recommended! If you get to meet Chris, behind the counter, be sure to say hi! Meeting him is a real treat for anyone who gets the opportunity to cross his path. An outstanding person, full of life, energy, and an attitude towards providing the best experience. We WILL be back next time we come to Cali! Guaranteed.
Legends is a Upland staple. The food is always fresh and delish. The fries are fantastic and my personal favorite is the chicken salad (chicken breast if your feeling ‘healthy’) and obviously with their amazing ranch dressing. The gyro is a really great surprise and burgers, BLT and breakfast burritos are also good. The drive through can be long (especially with COVID restrictions in place) but it’s worth the wait every time.
Every thing is great, food is tasty, service is polite, good humor, quick service., They just forgot to add all the meat products that went with all my 3 breakfast orders. But very accommodating when I called to tell them, they asked me to come next day or that week when Mngr there to give me my missing items., I just couldn't go back 🥺. But over all they did and do great so I will go back again🙂
We got the cheese burger and fries combo. Best french fries by far here! Special seasoning is on them and they're perfectly cooked and not over done. The cheese burger was really good as well, just basic lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles with thousand island dressing on it. Staff was super nice and food came right out. Would recommend for sure.
I had a hot dog and quesadilla and chocolate shake, everything was hot and cooked to order. I did notice that my chocolate shake wasn't very thick and not as good is it has been in the past. Also noticed that the hot dogs have shrunk in size. All in all my food was good and I do like coming here as they have a good variety.
Great food and decent prices. My order was wrong and I am glad I checked before I drove off. They have the best fried zucchinis and onion rings in the Inland Empire. But I miss my favorite item to order which was the crispy chicken sandwich.
We stopped here on a road trip with a large group of people (about 20-23 people) and we all received our food very quickly and from a very friendly staff. I had coffee and a cheese and mushroom omelette. It came with all kinds of cheeses in it and was quite delicious. Coffee was also good! I would definitely come again.
Good food. They seem to make it as you order it, so it tastes freshly made. And be hungry as they give good sized portions. Especially the fries. The fries have this salty seasoning that is so good that you will eat all of them no matter how many fries come in the box (yes, no bag, like a shoe box). Haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but some day... Meanwhile, the burger and chicken sandwich are good and meaty. Will be coming back again and again.
Wide variety of dishes enhance a good dining experience. Their fries have to be top 10 in SoCal. 50's decor and music create a great atmosphere. Service is good.
This is my favorite Legends. I've been coming since I worked at the Stater brothers in the same complex. They still literally give you a bucket of fries and I love that. The burgers are still awesome. The fried zucchini is delicious. And they have the ranch you always want.
First introduced to Legends when our daughter and son-in-law treated us to dinner for our Birthdays. We were highly impressed. The food and atmosphere were excellent. So much food. They really don't want their customers leaving hungry. A favorite place to have a great meal.
Great place with great food. Decorated in good ol fashion diner fashion which helps for a different feel from the everyday work and grind. My favorite is the Greek Salad but ALL of their food is amazing. Their burgers are huge and full of flavor. This place will not disappoint
We've been coming for 15 years! It's always had a fantastic quality and taste. No matter what you have you'll enjoy it. My favorite are the chili cheese fries and a chicken breast salad. Always fresh and delicious 😋
Amazing experience worth a visit! Thank you Judy and the night crew for taking care of our large family of 10+ at such a late hour. Great customer service!
My wife and mom work at a business in the Stater Bros shopping center and we go through the drive thru a handful of times a month at least. The lady running the drive thru window is ALWAYS kind and polite! It may be busy sometimes, but the food is always consistent and good!
Great classic dinner feel with great prices for food. Portions are big so if you come with a plus one, you can definitely share. I would recommend the chili cheese fries.
Salads are amazing and very filling you won't be able to finish one on your own
Come here all the time. Judy is awesome—we love seeing her when we grab breakfast or milkshakes (the best!) or the legends sampler with tons of ranch. She always has a smile on her face and is so patient with all the patrons who come through.
Their food is delicious!! You don’t have to get up to get your food. It is really good. 10/10 I recommend to those visiting the area.
My parents have been coming here for years and now I am trying to continue it on with me and my friends. The people are lovely and the food is delicious. Easily can share a meal if you would like to. It really makes you feel happy in food wise and atmosphere wise. The music playing in the background gives it a certain feel that you don't get anywhere else. It's more than just a fast food place.
Ordered a hamburger meal and it was so good!! They gave me a good amount of fries that I got full with a lot left and I’m a bigger guy too. Depends on whose working the kitchen seeing other reviews trashing the place. It may have a B rating too but that could’ve been for having a dirty restroom. The food was cooked safely and was worth the $10 give it a chance people.
Their 4.99 brakefast sandwish is great
This is the only place you can get a sampler with onion rings , fried zucchini , fried mushrooms and fries all in one big box that me and my husband couldn't finish. Everything was seasoned just right
I love the chocolate milkshake!! O The best I ever had so far! Also the pastrami chilli cheese fries! Can't get enough of that! The chicken breast salad was awesome and delicious! It's a must try.
My favorite restaurant in upland. Went last night with my brother we got two lamb 🥙 gyros. Everything here is good. We don't mind the wait for the food it's fresh and cooked when ordered. So if you enjoy a good cooked meal come to legends. I have had their burrito they are good both breakfast and carne asada. A while back I got a chicken tender dinner wasn't too impressed with but everything else is fantastic. Very well priced and I wouldn't mind if they went up on their price cause they give you a good serving of food. Most time I can never finish it. I also dine in and the inside is very clean and I love the layout and decorations they have to make it feel like an old time restaurant hence the name legend's.
We love legends and make it a point to seek out all of their locations when we're out and about. My favorite is the zucchini fries and the gyro sandwich. Delicious. My kids love this place, too for the 50s decor and music. Staff is always amazing and busses your tables for you.
Best Food in Town, good portions & fair prices ❤️
The food is fresh and excelente 👌. The place is very clean and the personell is friendly
Good place to enjoy a meal. I had 2 asada tacos costing me $15.98 plus tax. They were delicious and had plenty of meat and cheese. One can easily fill you up! The employees are cheerful and nice. Thanks. The are many different food dishes here available and good for the whole family.
Great food and Decor!! Had the double cheeseburger added bacon with fried mushrooms on the side. Delicious everything had flavor. The french fries were bomb!! Coca-cola products!!! Extra points. They serve a lot of fries and mushrooms we couldnt finish them I'd recommend sharing. They bus the tables
Everything is great but my go-to meal is the grilled chicken salad and fried zucchini. Big enough to share or have leftovers.
Best double meat/cheese burger OVER In & Out! Made w/all your extras @ no extra charge, quick service, super clean dining room, none better in the I.E. See for yourself, thank me later👍
Excellente service and great no-nonesence classic American cheese burger. Love the classic fries as well. Pair them with the best ranch this side of the states. Way better than any big chain joints and very competitively priced.
The portions are ginormous. I suggest sharing the fries. The burgers are delicious. I love a bacon and egg sandwich. Iced tea is splend. I love the fifties diner vibe. Service is always exceptional.
We love going there. My wife loves their steak sandwich and I love their pastrami and cheese burgers. Their fries are good both hot and cold and their shakes are amazing (you can drink them without feeling like your sucking a golf ball through a waterhose lol).
Great food, and a huge menu! Legends in Upland offers everything from classic burgers, to breakfast, to Mexican dishes and beyond. The bacon cheeseburger is delicious, and the seasoned fries are both delicious and VERY generous in portion size! Fast service and plenty of parking make this a convenient stop. There’s also a drive-through for those who don’t want to stop. Highly recommended!
It was amazing! The food was chef's kiss. The only reason I gave rhe. 4 stars 🌟 on the food is because the guy who was making the food was not wearing gloves and he kept touching the scrambled eggs with his bare hands to move the eggs to the side on the plate. Other Than that everything was pretty good!
Visited this diner that took me on a nostalgic trip back to the 1950s, and I had a wonderful experience. The place is always clean and tidy, and the friendly, attentive staff make every visit enjoyable. What stands out the most is the amazing 50s memorabilia and decor. It really gives the diner an authentic retro vibe that's hard to find these days. They also have a convenient drive-thru and are open late, which is perfect for those late-night cravings. The food is decent and comforting, just like you'd expect from a classic diner. I especially love the breakfast burritos—they're really good. But the highlight for me has to be the pastrami fries. They are the best! Overall, it's always a great experience coming here.
This was my very first time visiting Legends, and I am in love. I ordered the chicken salad, which came with pita bread. The entire meal was delicious & the portions are big, excellent & preferred. I wish there was a Legends located in Valencia. Please consider adding one near Six Flags Magic Mountain, you'd make a fortune.
Food is very fresh, and always made to order. Orders to take longer than your average fast food joint, but it's worth the wait. On average for my boyfriend and I to eat here we spend $25.00, $30.00 if we split a large malt. We don't order anything too crazy, usually burger, fries, and a drink. I have had the lamb gyro, but it was not that good. I have also had the chicken club. I suggest splitting the club with someone if you get it, it's big. I gave 4 stars because I think it's a bit over priced, and they charge extra for everything and anything they are able to.
Good burgers, plenty of options on the menu and a fun atmosphere. While the prices are on the high end for a "traditional" burger place, the food is good and the service friendly.
The food is great. Hamburgers are fantastic! The fries you get a lot. But there not very good taste, or texture wise. Service is ok. Basic, the drive-thur is slow and hard to hear. I do like that they're open pretty late. Prices are... fine. They got bills to pay. But not a good value. It's like restaurant prices, but with drive-thur.
Great food , huge portions, reasonable priced. Legends is always clean and well staffed. The burgers are large and delicious, the burritos are spicy, and the breakfast menu will boggle your imagination. There's always lots of parking and the whole thing is handicap accessible. If you go to Upland, tell them Scott sent you.
Always a great stop when we visit California. Chili cheese fries with pastrami, onion rings, or a cheeseburger are always a good choice.
First time here. Ordered a cheeseburger combo. It was great burger but nothing special to speak of, they are generous with fries. Heard other items are great too but didn't get to try any yet. 4 star as staff seems unorganized and not friendly with our group. Could of been a one off. Forgot to take a photo before eating lol. Would reccomend to try at least once.
I came for the Legends Chili Cheese Fries. However, it has been a few years since I’ve been there. My main concern is that there was only a small amount of cheese on the fries. In the past (OK, 7-8 years), they were served with a lake of cheese covering the whole container. I wish for the good old days.
A friend recommended it so we thought we would try it. It was a different experience. It's a 1960's diner decor, fun music from that era. The Legends Burger has 2 options of toppings. I loved the toppings were fresh and the burger was good. If you're looking for a new experience try it. Prices are about the same as other restaurants in the area.
My go-to spot since I was a kid, sometimes they do drop the ball but the good outweighs the bad. Love the vibe and the big portions
I have to say this place is better than other competitors in the same segment. The burger seems like a 1/3 of a pound and even though it's probably a frozen patty the meat tasted better than the standard fare. If you're a mushroom lover like me, don't pass up the fried mushrooms. The cornmeal crust is light and crunchy. Not oil soaked receptacles like other places. Even after they've cooled down they retain their crunch! 👍🏻👍🏻
I really love the legends pastrami frys, I enjoy them most when I dine in. The frys stay a lil crispy. The Chilli has a good flavor and the pastrami is usually on point. BUT my last visit was a bit of a surprise the pastrami was dryed out on the edges, dark in some places. I had to pick at it. Please do better because I brag to people about Legends I don't want them to be disappointed. I want them to love yoy like I do!
BEST RANCH EVER! I've been eating at Legends for as long as I can remember, and the first thing I always tell people is to try their ranch. It's amazingly creamy and delicious! It's their own recipe and they make it fresh every day. My favorite thing to order is their chicken strips, and I LOVE their chocolate shake; they use their own homemade ice cream! The manager Maria is also amazing! She's super friendly and really listens to customer feedback. And just fyi, this place gives you lots of fries. A "small" order is about 3 large orders of McDonald's fries. I recommend this place for anyone looking for great food with great service. And don't forget to try the ranch! Edit 1/22/22: Unfortunately they switched owners a few months ago. The ranch doesn't taste as good, I don't think it's homemade anymore, it has different packaging and everything. The menu has also been changed and a ton of things have disappeared, and prices went up. I was also sad to discover that many of the employees that I've become acquainted with over the past 10 years have disappeared, leading me to believe the new owners cleaned house. It's sad going in there (which I rarely do now). Maria the old manager was a sweetheart and I hate to think she was fired. I miss the old Legends.
Very disappointed in the decline of quality of food and service at this place. My last two visits were a severe disappointment after having not visited this place in almost 2 years. Prior to my last two experiences here I would frequent this place four times or more a week and I love the food there was almost anything on the menu that I would eat. I really hope you guys get back to the level that you were once at I understand inflation is hard but the quality of food and service does not Co relate to that that's why I gave you guys three stars instead of one because I hope that you guys can return to your level of legendary status otherwise why would we call you Legends burgers?
First time ever here we were in the area helped by someone by the name of Jess so unfriendly , unprofessional bothered by questions , tapping her nails on the counter while we were looking at the menu being impatient waiting on us to place the order . Management place someone friendly at your guest desk ! Its a holiday maybe she didn't want to work but she has a job ! The other young ladies that brought the food to the table were great Way to go on endless napkins supply at the table
It's still not back up to pre-pandemic par, but it's better than it was when we went a couple months ago. We're sad that the ranch dressing and the fries are so different, not really enjoying those at all. The ranch is now a sealed prepackaged deal (plastic seal, no lid to save it for later) and the fries are just awful. Limp and flavorless. Also, the sampler has been rather skimpy of late. The menu is a bit different, we are actually happy with the new Western bacon cheeseburger.
First time trying this location, 2 of our burgers were cold and over cooked, the cheese wasn't close to melting, fries were cold as well. My son enjoyed his pastrami burger,.he said his was warm and properly cooked. We will try again another time, maybe be it was a bad day, it didn't appear to be busy at the time of our visit. But for $50+ for hamburgers and fries I feel they could do better.
There are moments on the road when necessity and nostalgia intertwine—when the call of nature leads one not just to respite, but to an unexpected encounter with history, however kitsch. Legends Burgers in Upland, California, is such a place. A roadside diner clad in the vestiges of 1950s Americana, where the chrome gleams with defiance against modernity and the menu reads like a greasy hymn to the glory days before mass commercialization flattened fast food into bland uniformity. Drawn in not by hunger, but by decorum (for one does not avail oneself of a diner’s restroom without offering patronage), I found myself speaking with the friendly and informative cashier. She warned me well—the portions were generous, decadent even. The menu, emblazoned upon the walls with photographs as drool-inducing as they were calorically daunting, offered the promise of burgers, fries, and shakes untouched by the sanitization of the corporate giants. But restraint was my companion on this leg of the journey. Already sated from lunch, with dinner waiting patiently in my cooler, I opted for a smaller meal: a corndog accompanied by half an order of regular fries and half fried mushrooms. A modest indulgence, or so I believed. The corndog—what can be said? It was the comfort of carnival memories, a crisp golden sheath yielding to a soft, mildly sweet batter and the salty snap of a hot dog within. Simple, unpretentious, and exactly as it should be. The fries—dependable, unremarkable, yet satisfying in the way that only a diner fry can be: a touch of salt, a hint of grease, no pretensions of truffle oil or hand-cut artisanry here. But the fried mushrooms—ah, here lies the misstep. Tempted by novelty, I wandered into culinary curiosity, only to find myself mired in disappointment. Mushrooms, those absorptive enigmas of the culinary world, demand a partner—wine, butter, garlic—to coax their elusive depths. Encased in breadcrumbs and bathed in fryer oil, they became hollow echoes of what might have been. Crunch without character. Yet, for all that, Legends Burgers remains a charming detour—a relic of a bygone era, offering a taste of what fast food once aspired to be before the golden arches spread their shadow. It is not haute cuisine, nor does it claim to be. It is, simply, comfort—with a side of grease and a sprinkle of regret. Rating: 3/5 – A nostalgic nod to diner culture, with comfort food that mostly hits the mark—save for the hollow promise of fried fungi
The staff were very friendly, and the front-end service was pretty prompt. Prices were about average, so there no complaints there either. I really liked the size of burgers, and the fries were pretty good. Now for the not so good parts: They don't offer a pastrami sandwich combo or chili burger combo, but they do have several other combo options. The burger itself was pretty dry, despite having tomato, lettuce, and pickles in it. So thumbs up for the size of the burger, thumbs down for being dry. Not a horrible burger but definitely can use improvement.
I hadn't been here in a while. Honestly, I won't go back. I dined in late afternoon on Sunday. The prices have definitely increased. I wouldn't have minded it if the quality was good. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was ok. Nothing stood out, but the fries were cold. There were a lot of people standing in the cooking area who were not busy. I'd imagine they could make fresh fries. I did not take the fries back. There were empty plates on several tables that took staff about 40 minutes to start to clear out. That's about the time I was in the restaurant.
We are fans of the bean and cheese burritos, but for the last few months they have been **SUPER incredibly SALTY** we usually order through the window to go. The first time we thought somebody may have accidentally spill the salt into the beans. But they're like that all the time now. We have tell them but the still make them salty. A lot of time we forget that they are salty and we don't realize it until we're at home with a burrito imposible to eat 😮💨.
***UPDATED*** New management = smaller portions and different tastes. I will say my wife likes the new tacos. But Legends used to be a weekly stop. We haven't been back since November 2021. Classic diner feel. Portions are great. Workers are friendly. Fun fact, no trash cans. They pick up all the trash, so don't bother looking for one.
Ordered the Cali chopped cheese because the pictures actually looked good. Wow I was completely wrong. This thing was so greasy and soggy it made it almost impossible to eat without a knife and fork. I couldn't even eat half of it because most of the flavor was oil. I gave the other half to my dog because this is only good as dog food. I hope my dog doesn't have a heart attack from it now thinking about it... This should stick to a NY only dish or completely change the recipe. Just horrible. But the breakfast burritos are good.
Fries are bomb but....that's pretty much it. Burrito are grease, Burgers are mid, not much flavor, And the Shakes....THAT'S why I'm leaving this review. This is the Shake I got today 01/29/26' No frosting, no cherry, and the Shake was not thick, almost... watery. Not the first time going, won't be my last. Workers are always kind, never had food missing or an order messed up, but there is room for improvement.
Fish & Chips was awful. 3 pcs were extremely small.I called the location first and d asked about tge size and they said good size portion. Looked more like a kiddie meal size. Half of the fish stick was just breading. Tarter sauce were 3 small ketchup type packets. Very disappointed becaus it wasa high price for terrible poor quality Fish & Chips
I've been going here for like 30 years or something. It's just not what it used to be. You can tell others have the same idea. It use to have that family all American feel. Now it's like a burger joint in LA somewhere.
I have to come review this place because it’s getting out of hand. Over the past month, they have raised the prices almost 33% and have decreased the amount of food. I have been a loyal costumer but it is starting to feel like a rip off. Unfortunately, won’t be coming back.
January 24, 2022 drive through order two pastrami and one grilled chicken sandwich and fries. $48 wow!! Get home sandwiches so dry could not eat. Most restaurants dip the bread in pastrami juice to make the sandwich juicy. I called the manager who could barely speak english and complained. He said they never juice the bread. I mentioned I been going there for 20 years for the same sandwich and always moist. Manager said he’s been there 7 months and never heard of such a thing 😵. Taking the food back for a refund. The food quality has gone down significantly.
My family and I have been long time patrons of Legends food and service. Most years it has been very good overall with few exceptions.Just last week we bought one of our favorite salads, Alvacado salad to go. Unfortunately the Alvacado was bad and they hid the bad part of the Alvacado. The rest of the salad was very good. We now have second thoughts about Legends.Unfortunate!
July 2021 Legends changed the ranch dressing, new container, flavor is sweet, texture is watery. They changed the fries, they are now soggy steak fries, and all burgers we burnt and dry. Legends please return to your old recipes. We will wait till your food returns to it great taste. See you soon I hope.
I’ve been going to Legends for a while now, and I’ve been ordering BLT Avocados for a while now. This is just unsat. Legends in general is on the more expensive side, but you used to get what you pay for. You used to get huge portions. For the price I paid for his sandwich, this was not worth it. We noticed in our fries recently that Management has obviously changed. But I have to draw the line somewhere and I could have made this sad sandwich at home.
This joint use to be great. New ownership is terrible. Would not recommend. People working the mic are too busy dicking around when it comes to ordering. Not too busy and the guy can’t seem to pay attention to his job. The last 6 times I’ve come here they’ve messed up my order. I’d go to the legends in Rancho if I were you.
Steak sandwich was so full of gristle that you couldn’t bite through it. Time before, we got a pastrami and it was the end piece of pastrami which was nothing but fat and gristle. Quality of food is really going down.
Prices are expensive & portions are small. Quality of the food just isn't there. I would definitely recommend against visiting this restaurant.
If you are looking for a carne asada burrito look elsewhere. I should have asked for a grease burrito with a side of carne asada. Traditional carne asada burritos do not come with CHEESE I believe thats why the burrito was SUPER GREASY and hard to eat. The best C.A burrito should be just rice, beans, meat with optional onion and cilantro inside. Salsa on the side. I gave it a 2 star because The meat was tasty, but Chopped smaller without cheese would have been way better. I could only eat 1/3, my daughter only could get thru the 2nd 3rd. And most likely give the final 3rd to my doggie.
The slowest service you could possibly imagine. It took them over 5 minutes to get me two simple shakes in the drive-thru one time and then another handful of minutes for a single shake another day. The decent quality and interesting atmosphere do not at all make up for how unbearably slow the staff are here
We went last week. We absolutely loved this place. But sadly when we recently went no one were wearing masks and the cook was rubbing his nose with his hands and then touching food. Thankfully their register went down before I paid. So I was able to leave and just go somewhere else. I unfortunately will not be returning. Covid or no Covid rubbing your nose then touching food is a HUGE NO GO for me. Bye guys
I have been going for years and I went today and got the kids chicken tenders and they were extremely hard to bite in. The fries were even worse, they were extremely flat and literally not fully cooked. parts of them were warm and the other parts were freezing. I couldn’t finish my meal.
I am honestly shocked as to how much this place has deteriorated due to inflation, etc. We have lived in Upland since 2009, and used to frequent Legends often. We ordered from the drive-thru today, and wow. The Garden salad has shrunk from a lovely, 10" x 10" (approximately) container, with at least a half full tomato, plenty of cheese, five or so slices of cucumber, and a whole hard boiled egg and pita bread. What did we get today? A 4" x 4" container, indifferently stuffed with some lettuce, three tiny cherry tomatoes, two cucumber slices, and (maybe) an ounce of cheese. My Dad's burger had maybe a teaspoon of sauce on it, a thin slice of tomato, one pickle slice, and one leaf of lettuce. We will not be going back.
Dear Legends, I'm sorry, but we have to break up. You used to be our weekly go out dining experience. The place my family could go and everyone could find something they loved, but no more, you've changed. The fries, the hub of the meal have changed shape, they are flat and hard, you cannot find a single good one in the batch. The quantity of fries went from amazing to pitiful, but that's ok because they are now gross and nobody wants to eat them. You've changed. The change in the ranch dressing is just a slap in the face to all the Legends adoring fans. SHAME ON YOU. The ranch is now awful, processed, oily garbage. You've changed. The salads, my personal go to have changed as well. The meat is salty, the cheese is missing.... really?! The cheese? No pickles anymore. You've changed. The chicken sandwich ordered by my husband was a ridiculous all-bun no chicken ratio of overcooked hard dry yuck. You've changed. The little special things are no longer offered, such as the pickled vegetables. You've changed. The love has left your food and I'm sorry, but my family, long-time staple customers, will not be back. Please feel free to advertise if things go back to normal as we will come "try" Legends again. But until that time I sure hope the company reads the copious amounts of 1 star reviews you are receiving from your customers.
So I feel the same as a previous person had posted. Not only INCREDIBLY terrible service and neglect by the woman in charge, but hearing the actual staff and what they were saying made me SO UNCOMFORTABLE I HAD TO THROW AWAY MY 15 dollar burrito away out of distrust and disgust.
I worked fast food for 5 years so I absolutely hate writing reviews, but my experience at Legends on 12/17/21 was horrendous. Most of the staff seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing or didn’t want to be there. We ordered our food and sat down and started to wait, order after order went out yet ours hadn’t been called yet. Another couple walks in about 25-30 minutes after us, places their order, and within 10 minutes their number was called and they got their order (which was much larger than ours). I’ve gone to Legends as long as I’ve lived in Upland, but now, unfortunately, I won’t go back.
Sad .... An upland institution has been ruined. Someone has been making big mistakes running this place. Been going here for over 20 years. Food WAS always dependable.... Salads were always great ... Now just a joke. Sandwiches were epic.. AND BIG ... Now just a joke. The woman that ran this place is gone. Seems like the new guy that took over decided to try to get rich quick and raise prices while cutting product quality and portions down... Not sure if its working out for him very well. You cant get away with poorly cooked food and greedy management. The LOCAL patrons can always see the changes.. You haven't fooled anyone by reading these HONEST reviews from loyal daily cusomers. The cooks have bad attitudes .. Thats why people aren't enjoying the food anymore. They take no speacil requests at all ... Angry food is poor tasting food. You should return everything back to 2010 standards. Otherwise you will destroy this place. Just went there a couple of nights ago. The help dosent have the kind happy spirit it used to. The place is being severely mismanaged ... If youre going to give less ... Don't try to charge $$$ more.. People aren't dumb. And the Habit and Farmers is just down the street.... I see you've brought back the French fries and ranch dressings ... But that's not going to be enough. Your cuts everywhere else need to roll back too ... And get some cooks that love to serve people.. Nasty cooks make nasty unsatisfying food.
Horrible service!!! I stopped by on the way home from the cemetery and placed a large order of zucchini fries. Got home, and noticed that I was given a large order of chili cheese fries, which I think are disgusting. What a waste of a stop and money. Straight into the trash, as I live too far to go back and get my I order corrected. Last time I go there!!!
I go through drive through once every 3 months and then remember why I don’t go more often.Tuna melt is soggy, too much tuna not enough mayo and has onions. I always end up throwing more than half away.
Been coming here a long time. Seems like ownership has changed. Management got overhauled. Its no longer as welcoming and inviting. Don't know if that's because most were females prior. I used to love the copious amount of French fries with every order. Now I'm paying the same price for a combo and they're serving a third of the fries. I'd have appreciated a disclaimer of some sort that they'd be changing portion sizes. The ranch dressing used to be my favorite, but they changed the recipe it seems.. Honestly kind of bummed. What formerly was a five star experience changed because i feel I'm not getting value along with my meal. I'd have felt better off going to get a value meal from ez takeout on a Sunday. 6 dollars for 2 burgers and a fry that leaves me more satisfied than legends has in recent months.
Edit: Long-time patrons, no longer going here. My family and friends and I have frequented this location for many years. There have been a lot of changes in the past couple months. The changes: -got rid of past management. I don't know if she was fired or quit but she was friendly, sweet, helpful, personable. She even knew the regulars and their orders. You immediately knew who management was when you walked in the door, and you don't know who management is anymore. -on that note, I think a lot of the past (mainly female) employees were fired or quit. They were all very friendly. At the time of writing this review a male cashier helped me and literally gave me attitude every step of the way. I had never even seen him before. -got rid of masks required signs. This is obviously annoying since the pandemic is not over and most food establishments are still requiring this. Male cashier did not wear a mask, and no one inside was, including the cooks, the people breathing over your food. -the fries are shaped differently and not seasoned. Their fries were very good with the old management but now it is inconsistent whether your fries will even be seasoned. -the ranch containers now have a plastic film on them instead of a lid. This means once you open it you can't close it again to take with you. Also more plastic waste because before you could rinse out the lid and container and recycle them, but now you can't. -new drive-thru sign outside has confusing duplicate mentions of chicken tenders. Plus the sign is so bright it will burn your retinas. A petty thing to complain about, but hey. I'm disappointed with all of the changes with new management, and they lost really frequent customers.
Ugh. So disappointed. $25.50 for a ran and cheese burrito, onion rings , mushrooms, and a burger patty for the dog. Of course you get a mountain of fried food and the burger patty and burrito were also large. I ordered way too much I realized immediately but there’s no going back now. The dog loves his burger no doubt about that however the beans in my burrito were damn near inedible they were so salty. And I had ordered extra cheese and sour cream and that did nothing to help at all- usually the sour cream would help but it didn’t..at all. The onion rings were great and so were the mushrooms but the worst part is that the ranch is different!! Which is so sad. This was such an expensive let down. I would just as soon light that $25 on fire then ever eat here again. How dare they change the ranch!! Staff was nice and I’m sure they’d be accommodating if I took my burrito back but I’m just not that person, I’m stuffed with onion rings and mediocre ranch anyway and jut want to put this whole experience behind me-
My almost 15 dollar mushroom cheeseburger had few mushrooms and and obviously frozen, premade patty. The bun was good, as were the pickles, and sauce. If you use frozen meat, at least increase the quality, and form those patties or smash them. Pre formed, bagged burgers are not delicious. Definitly only get chicken strips, gyros, or pastrami here.
