This was one of the best meals my wife and I had on our trip to Lake Como. It’s a little further up the road from town, so a bit of a walk but there are some public paid parking available nearby. Every part of our dinner was great, both food and drink. Hospitality/service was great. We called ahead for a reservation and were able to eat outside. Would highly recommend this place, it’s worth it if you are in Varenna/Perledo area.
We stayed in the air bnb attached to this restaurant which is also awesome. The food here was great, the service was warm and attentive when needed. The quality of the food was top tier and if you’re in the area and want a nice romantic dinner in a 17th century building I would highly recommend.
The BEST meal we had during our whole stay across both Milan & Lake Como. We felt well looked after by the staff and it was a delightful experience. We enjoyed the lamb chops so much that we ordered an extra plate to share! Exquisite food
This restaurant should not be missed if you are staying near Varenna. The food is exceptional along with the efficient and attentive staff. We have eaten in many top restaurants around the world, but this is a very high standard. I would highly recommend any of the dishes and hope to visit again soon. I particular recommend the pasta with duck ragu. Wow
We had a wonderful lunch. Service was welcoming and on point. Food was excellent, perfect quality of seasonal local products. A visit is highly recommended. Prices are reasonable, everything is produced in the restaurant. We had 7 different dishes - each was excellent and rich in flavor. The chef understands to highlight the taste of each ingredient and compose them well to balanced dishes. Thank you for having us!

What an amazing place for dinner. The food and view are second to none and the service was impeccable from the second we arrived. I cannot recommend this place enough.
We were here in July and we had a wonderful evening. I would describe the cuisine as classic Italian but particularly high quality, all the courses were incredibly delicious. The small wine list consists almost exclusively of Italian wines, we drank a tasty Riesling from Piedmont. Particularly noteworthy is the very friendly and professional service, also in English. We would love to come back!
We stumbled upon this restaurant on a day strolling along the lake on Varenna. The restaurant was set in a secluded area of the town where there’s not much going on. However, we had the honour to be the only table in the restaurant for lunch that afternoon sitting at the patio overlooking the lake. I can echo the other reviewer that this should be a Michelin starred restaurant quality food! We had the two course lunch ordering smoke trout and smoked duck, and lamb chop as well as pappardelle ragu for entree and finished off with a berries and gelato dessert. Everything was beyond this world delicious. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to visit again soon!

Our dining experience at this restaurant was outstanding. We visited twice—once for lunch and once for dinner. The service was exceptional, with Norma as our host. She was knowledgeable, polite, and hospitable. The wine list featured a wide variety of local selections. The zucchini blossoms were delightful, and the tagliatelle with Puccini mushrooms was authentically prepared. The local lake fish was a unique and memorable experience. My wife ordered the beef tartar and the local steak, both of which were absolutely stunning. We highly recommend this restaurant in every way possible
15 minute walk under the Sun ☀️ from Varenna was a bit rough BUT definitely worth it. We ordered beef tartare and the very salty fish as starters - they’re absolutely umami BOMBs 💣, the MOST delicious salted fish we’ve had in the entire 3-week Europe trip. For the main dish I ordered the fish with aubergine 🍆 and my partner had the pasta. We both agreed that my fish with 🍆 was over the moon 🌙. His pasta was good as well but not as memorable. The eggplant was perfectly seasoned and paired beautifully with the fried fish which was cooked, again, to perfection. Then we went for a dip in a nearby beach that was tiny and full of rocks but amazing privacy. ✨ definitely one of the best decisions we made on this trip!
Our best meal in the area! The food was exquisite. My husband had a 3 course meal. Beef tartare, spaghetti bolognese ( with duck), and lamb chops ( the best lamb chops I ever tried). On the other hand, I went all vegetarian, but heavenly as well. I had a fried zucchini with ricotta inside and a spaghetti with mushroom/coliflower/ brocoli. A mix of vegetables that made it extremely flavorful. For dessert, I ordered the soft ice cream with walnuts and some coffee. The restaurant was a lovely combination of rustic and clasic. Very beautiful. And our service was outstanding 👏 👌 We really enjoyed our experience.
An absolute beautiful place to spend the early evening. we sat outside and had an amazing lake view. the dinner was also delicious. well balanced flavours. the only critic for our meal was the we ordered the steak medium rare and it was more than medium cooked. not sure if that happens often or just for us. but the pasta was fresh and close to perfect. totally recommend the place

Bravo! This restaurant served the best meal I had in all of Italy. The beef tartare, beef plate, and chocolate lava cake were phenomenal. The restaurant is run by four people only. The amount of detail they put into the food and experience is bar none. The wine, bread, and entrees were delicious. I would recommend them to anyone! They have limited seating due to the size of their staff. Be sure to call at 10am the day of - they don’t take reservations ahead of time - or arrive at 7pm when they open. Otherwise you will be turned away if full.
Easily the best meal I had around Lake Como. Not much of a bar but the wine list was well curated, the pasta dishes were exceptional, and the homemade charcuterie was out of this world. Super nice ambiance, great wait staff. If you find yourself anywhere around here (Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio), I'd recommend seeking this place out, even if you have to take the ferry.
We went to dinner with friends. A restaurant in a beautiful place. The view of Lake Como - unforgettable. The service is nice, discreet, at the right moment sociable and friendly. The dishes are beautifully presented and taste delicious. I heartily recommend.

As soon as we entered to restaurant waiter asked us to wait. After 5 minutes of standing another waiter came and said that no table available everything is booked. In that moment it was 3-4 tables siting and more than 10 tables empty…1,5 hour before the closing….strange…I know that Michelin guide always choosing for some good reasons…but what is the reason for this restaurant? For very fast cooking I guess)
Stayed across the street at a really nice Airbnb. Figured we’d give the restaurant a try. Walk up and some elderly waitress abruptly swings open the door and says they’re all booked up despite the numerous open seats outside. I then walk back up to the door to inquire about reservations and she says “use the website” and shuts the door lol They need to fire this old dingbat, it’s not a good look. Especially for a run-down place without a view. Go a bit further down the street to a place like Bar Il Molo. Friendly staff and great view. Other great places in Varenna too. No need to visit this rude establishment. Instead, I just order from Varenna and get a better view from my accommodation than this place can provide, without a rude old lady 🤣
