I loved the food, I loved their steak quesadilla and the cold beer, but without a doubt LUIS, the manager of the place, surprised me from the moment I arrived how kind and attentive he was, he offered us his daily specials and he was aware of our food being on time at our table and at all the other tables, excellent person!!! More restaurants with people like him I WILL BE BACK SOON, IT WILL BE MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT

Good food as always. Great waitress, very attentive, had refills even before we asked, even thought there was a party of 20 seated as well. The only thing lacking was the atmosphere. They did some patching on the wall of our booth, not a very good job plus it wasn't painted and the booths had no spring left in the cushions. But you can't nock the food!!!

The food tasted great, and for the price, it was inexpensive and enough for 2 meals. The chips and salsa were not spicy or too hot, but very flavourful and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. This will be my "go-to" Mexican restaurant anytime I'm in this town.

We stopped by after a lengthy stay at Cooks hospital with our kid. We needed a good home cooked meal and this was it! Everyone was so nice, food and prices were great, and the place was super clean. We promised my son McDonald’s when he got out of the hospital and they were even nice enough to let him bring it inside. Definitely a place to try!

I visited on 8/24/23 with a group of about twenty people. We were so thankful they allowed us to use the large room. The service was excellent especially considering our party size. A shout-out to Katherine, our waitress, you gave us the best service we have had in over a year. A+ drinks: Every Weatherford restaurant needs to follow suit and filter their water like El Fenix. You can order iced tea, tap water and soda without fear that it will taste like the fishy lake. The menu is not overloaded with options which means that what they do they do well. I recommend the pick3 enchilada lunch plate so you can try all of their enchilada sauces.

Staying at a hotel across the street. Too tired to drive anywhere so just walked over to the restaurant. I live in San Antonio so whenever I can find some Tex-Mex out of town I take advantage of it. Friendly staff clean location. Large eating area. Decent size menu with plenty of choices. I asked my waitress of the two choices I was thinking of what should I get the enchiladas or the chimichanga. She wasted little time and said that chimichanga. Pretty good size beef chimichanga with chili con queso, sour cream and onions and a sweet tea. Good portion, good taste, very filling. Glad I stopped in and glad she gave me her opinion of what was better. Definitely recommend El Fenix in Weatherford Texas

El Fenix is very good food at medium price. You can't go wrong with El Fenix if you are hungry for Tex-Mex.

I bring my mom here for lunch every couple of weeks. The food is always good, service prompt and we leave feeling full and happy. Today our server Janie was fantastic and super attentive. The tortilla soup and lunch enchiladas were tasty. The chips were HORRIBLE! We almost always get a bag of chips to take home after eating a basket at the table, but today the basket remained full and no chips were purchased. They were bad, bad, bad. We heard several other tables around is complaining about them as well. The manager came around and said that their very large machine that makes their chips has broken. Hopefully that is true and their real chips will be back soon. If not, we may have to find out Mexican food fix elsewhere when I come visit my mom. Pay attention to your customers El Fenix management... your chips are one of the main things that few people in. Don't change that.

Overall we had a good experience customer service was extremely slow the restaurant was not very busy at the time either. However we both ordered the El Jefe and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately we had to wait about 40 minutes to have lunch. Please also note that this is a 100% gun free facility. No one is allowed to have a firearm inside, according to the hostess they do not even want law enforcement inside with a firearm, I personally think that's a little ridiculous.

Their food is good. They are shorthanded but the wait staff are are doing their best with that situation. No complaints there. My complaints are with the bar or bartenders. I had been getting their top shelf margarita last year and it was great and consistent. Then things change and it is different every time and not great or not even good. It has pineapple juice in it and they'll be out of pineapple. They'll not tell you they are out and serve it anyways. Next time it'll have pineapple but not the normal amount of Tequila. I good mexican food restaurant should be able to consistently make a good margaritas.

Came in last night to eat alone. Unfortunately my husband has been deported real recently so I joined one of our favorite spots alone. My server Cheyenne was amazing she had a big group she was handling while taking care of me . However there was another group of people coming in with a bunch of loud kids and their mom obnoxiously told them walking in they were allowed to be as rude , disrespectful and loud and messy as they want to the mexican servers because theyre at a mexican restaurant. It disgusts me people come in entitled to Mexican restaurants and get what they want by their white power to hurt others. Then I heard her yell that she wanted a new server because she didnt like her for accidently mis hearing her order. Thankfully whoever that lady was was better than me and smiled and walked off and continued to help around the restaurant. If I werent older I wouldve done something because alls that lady wanted was free stuff with problems shes intended to cause. So I pray yall dont do that server wrong for someone who would deport or do our people dirty in a heart beat. Racism and entitlement was the problem. Praying for that girl and her job . We all deserve respect no matter the position of ur job or ur skin color. We will see what El fenix supports

Ordered food online did not get our guacamole and ordered a tostada plate it came put together so by the time we received it both of them were soggy.. And we received no chips.. So key word don’t order tostada if you want it delivered

First, I need to be honest and admit I am not a huge fan of Tex Mex. I prefer Authentic Mexican. Since I didn’t really want to chance it I ordered the platter with one of each. The cheese enchilada was okay. The chicken enchilada was good The beef enchilada was okay The tamale was covered in a sauce that tasted exactly like tomato soup, which I love but was odd on a tamale. The tamale was palatable. Overall the service was great and the atmosphere was great. The food was okay for Tex Mex, not the best and definitely not the worst.

Visited the Weatherford El Fenix for the Wednesday enchilada special. Was seated quickly & received my order quickly, though I had to remind my server to bring chips and salsa. The enchiladas could have used a little more sauce but we’re okay. The refried beans were dried out so gave them a pass (some grated cheese might have helped.) Have had better experiences in other locations.

Service was a bit slow being that we saw plenty of servers. The chicken tenders my son had were burnt around the edges. The rest was tasty for sure.

The manager walked past multiple times, saw us waiting, drinks empty and never stopped. Left around 8pm. Paid 55$ wasn’t worth it.

I ordered delivery from here and I was missing a quesadilla. It was delivered by door dash and the dasher said he doesn’t have it. I called the restaurant and was told it had been placed in the bag with the chips. I told the manager that the only thing in the bag with the chips was a container with guacamole and pico in it. She refused to make me happy.

Very disappointing experience. Should have read the signs when it was empty on a Saturday during dinner time. The mixed drinks had zero alcohol, and if you mention it they will gladly add a “shot” (conveniently out of shot glasses even though no one was there) for 6$ea. The food was not worth the price. My daughter chose this place for her birthday dinner. We arrived at 6 p.m. with 8 in our party, checked in and another large group came in and the hostess asked if she could seat them 1st....STRIKE ONE, same number of people as our group. we were seated, finally placed our drink order, it took forever to get our drinks STRIKE 2. We ordered our food and it didn't get served until we'll after 7. We wouldn't have gotten it then but I finally caught the managers eye and told her this was ridiculous. Over an hour of trying corral 2 kids while waiting on food. 2 said the burgers were good, nachos were acceptable ( we had ordered a side of rice and beans, which we had to ask for again) cheese enchiladas dinner (add onions, no onions added) and the El Jefe left a lot to be desired, flat, thin enchiladas. We spent approx. $150 in there and we're disappointed. We spent $46 the night before at Taco Casa and had a better meal. Almost forget to mention, kids chicken tenders were cooked so hard, they were dry and tough, grandson couldn't bite them. STRIKE 3

The server was great the food was good but the management was horrible. We come in often to eat and I have never had this problem. For personal reasons I’m not able to eat much some my sone went and asked for a kids menu. He’s a kid but he told them he wanted it for me so they told him he couldn’t have it because it’s for 12 and under. I’ve never had this problem before here until today. The host said that he would talk to to the manager and come back but he never did so I didn’t eat The host which was a man wasn’t even nice he completely avoid coming back around us

We have came here a few times and it went well, with food and service. Today was horrible with it all sadly. Chicken was like jerky dry, waitor was rude, even when paying he made rude comments. The one thing we did wrong was not to speak to a manager . We sadly won't be going back.

We were a party of 6 w a Thursday reservation at 4:30. Restaurant virtually empty the whole time we were there (till about 6:30). The waitress took our orders, & delivered the food in reasonable period of time. Then the waitress did not check on us AT ALL. My fajitas were absolutely the worst I’ve ever had. Very disappointing.

We came in today for lunch expecting the awesome, melt in your mouth chips! Well, much to my surprise El Fenix has changed their chips! They have no taste, they are thicker like grocery store chips. I always buy a bag about every 2 weeks. Not now! Our Server Janie was awesome and the food and salsa was great too! Please bring back the original chips!
