Venice Restaurant

We had a delicious dinner tonight, and Gabriella, our waitress was fantastic! Very accommodating but not too busy at our table. A great experience!

We celebrated my in-law's anniversary at Venice. Right away, I knew this was most likely going to be our location. Maria was so easy to work with and always got back to me in a timely fashion. She was there to answer every little question I had. The Florentine Room is a perfect setting and size for a dinner party. When I arrived to bring some decorations, the room was set up perfectly and they were there to take care of all the details. I just had to bring a few finishing touches to personalize it to our family. The food selection for a buffet dinner was excellent. They were easy to work with as far as swapping out different entree choices. I'm actually not always a fan of buffets but I certainly went up more than once! Our guests remarked how good the food was, especially the tortellini carbonara and chicken Parmesan. The stuffed sole was certainly a hit, too. We even had a few passed hors d'oeuvres which were a great touch. I recommend the bruschetta for sure. The pricing couldn't be beat for all the great meal choices we had. The wait staff present the night of the party was excellent! They were attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. They made the entire night run smoothly. We worried about nothing and were able to enjoy the company of our family and friends. They helped wrap up the night and clean up was a breeze. I certainly recommend Venice for any private event you might be planning and will keep them in mind future parties.

The service was outstanding. My waitress even stuffed my olives with blue cheese for my martini. She was very attentive but not overbearing. I highly recommend this place. The food was very good. Well worth it. The prices were very reasonable.

Had a wonderful dinner last night with family at the Sky Bar. The view of the ocean was beautiful. Started with buck a shuck oysters , large shrimp and sauces and what a bargain. Salad and all 3 dinners entrees were delicious . The server was busy but kept checking on our needs. Will be my go to place !

Took a quick overnight trip to RI and had an amazing meal here. The service was great, the food was absolutely delicious and the prices were unbeatable. I would recommend Venice to anyone looking for a relaxing meal with excellent staff!

I came in tonight with my wife, mother and 2 kids. All of our food was exceptional. The prime rib is heavenly and the oysters Rockefeller are worth the trip. Fresh and delicious. My two girls were tired from a day at the beach and our waitress Gabriela was wonderful. She made my girls laugh, enjoy their meal, and even stopped by when she had a minute to talk to my kids about their toys. Attentive but not smothering. I noticed the staff here clear and set their own tables too. A pleasant waitress made our experience even better and is hard to come by in these young kids. 10/10 all around!!!! Will definitely be coming back when we visit westerly again next summer.

Delicious menu options with great table service and kind staff.

Love both downstairs and the sky bar. NOW is the time to go vs summertime. The staff makes me want to return weekly. I never enjoy myself anywhere as much as I do here. The banter is aces.

Excellent atmosphere, great for a nice night out. The staff was personable and polite. I had the meatballs and sausage for an appetizer and the meatballs were light, tender and moist. For an entree, I had their Veal Parmigiano on angel hair, which was terrific. All in all a very pleasant experience. Will definitely be returning.

Taylor waited on my group on a recent visit to Venice, while the food was good, Taylor was amazing. I never felt rushed and she was very attentive to all of us even though she was training a new hire and had a lot of tables. She was friendly and welcoming, chatty but no so much that it was annoying. Overall it was a great night out!

Just had the meatball sub and eggplant parmesean, both were excellent. The meatballs tasted homemade. This was takeout, we'll definitely be dining in soon.

Delicious salmon dinner, mashed potatoes like my Nana use to make, colorful medley of vegetables were done to perfection. The atmosphere was very relaxing and clean. Safe guidelines were visible with the entire staff. Personable and professional wait staff. See you again very soon. Stephen is looking forward to the prime rib.

We came here after the beach. If I could give 10 stars I would. Food was delicious, had stuff shrimp and my husband had rib eye steak, great desserts ,had custard and key lime pie, which was beyond my expectations, and my sangria was the best not too strong with fresh fruits, 😋. The staff was extraordinary, bartender made me a great sangria. I would highly recomend this restaurant.

Food was delicious and our waitress was excellent. We had the cod francese over mash potatoes and spinach. Also a caprese salad and clam chowder. The cod was especially good. She was wearing stylish glasses. Many thanks to her and the people in the kitchen for a great experience. The prices were reasonable

This is a place for the locals. Large horse shoe shaped bar. Set up for weddings and large parties primarily. Severs function rooms here. The food was adequate, nothing fancy. Prices were a little out of line for what this is but I guess the area justifies it. The restaurant was full on a week night. The food was served hot off the stove, which I love and speaks volumes to the kitchen manager because every table was full. We had the cod and no doubt it was swimming in the ocean yesterday. You know that day boat fresh cod taste when you get it. It had that old 80’s vibe. Liked it but didn’t love the it.

Fun place. Delicious shuck a buck raw bar special during the week. The oysters and little necks were fresh. The calamari appetizer is a Mediterranean experience with olive oil and olives.

Quite good, staff seemed short night we were there but got it done, prices are excellent for the area, 20% below everything nearby.

It was ok but expensive and extremely small portions even for up class felt kinda like a tourist trap $3 Diet Pepsi bout easily $50-$100 per person

Good food, great staff. Very accommodating and checked on us often. Quick service. One person in our group had the steak and said it was the best she had in a long time. I had chicken Cesar salad which was good and tried the eggplant parm appetizer which melted in my mouth. Another member said the salmon in her salad was dry. Last person had buffalo pizza and said it was pretty good. Good amount of specials

Prepandemic were loved this place. Now the prices and quality is different. Looking for happy hour specials and there were none. Ordered shrimp for an appetizer, small and limply...not the gorgeous, larger, snappy shrimp from last year. Huge disappointment.

We ordered drinks and dinner. Bread came out with the salads we ordered, the bread was stale, and the salad was good. I ordered Seafood Fra Diavlo, the Seafood and sauce were good, the pasta had a strange texture and taste. The other dinners at the table were acceptable “ nothing to write home about”. The atmosphere is pretty typical of the area, however, the table was small and cramped to have four adults seated at it. The service was not what it should be, the waitress did apologize for her lack of attentiveness. If you are looking for a special place to take your friends or partner, Venice Restaurant isn’t it!

No wait to be seated but waitress had us waiting a long time for things. She seemed to be working in another room most of the time. The food was so-so. Too much sauce or gravy for my liking especially because I didnt love the sauce. My teen son who isn't picky disliked the bolognese so much that he didn't eat any of it. But I was hungry so ate. It's not the worst place, but certainly not the best either. The restaurant is dated and could use updates. Thus, 3 stars all around.

The buck a shuck is a complete scam. They split their oysters in half to cut on costs. It is very obvious. Would not go back.

My experience is solely based on ordering carryout, but the high rating was mostly why we chose this place while on vacation this past weekend. Staff was polite on the phone and during pick up, food was ready on time, priced well, but the food itself was pretty underwhelming. The broccoli rabe and sausage was good and not at all bitter, the stuffed mushrooms were very bland and the risotto was also completely lacking in flavor as if it wasn't even seasoned. Hands down worst risotto I've ever had. Wouldn't eat here again the next time we're back in the area.

I just ate there. We waited a while and they forgot to get us a waiter. Once they remembered to give us a waiter, he was very attentive. My meal of the baked seafood was highly mediocre. They used a small scallops. The baked potato was very good, and the vegetables or steamed without a lot of butter which I like. My fiancé got the special with lobster and fettuccine. It was OK.

Had dinner here last night and everything was fantastic except the lobster risotto. It had obviously been pre made several days earlier and reheated. I could taste that something was off. My husband and I haven’t been able to leave the bathroom all day.

It wasn’t too bad The food was just a little off and nasty The sauce didn’t have any flavor. The noodles were way too overcooked. The steak was rubbery. The chicken was rubbery. all the workers are staring at me the food is nasty tho

Went for dinner last night with a friend and was disappointed. The man who escorted us to our table was welcoming and warm while our server was neither. We both ordered prime rib which came with broccoli and mashed potatoes and I was barely 1/3 into my portion when the waitress asked if I wanted a box to take home and get our check! And this was not long after we started eating, there were plenty of empty tables and we both felt we were being rushed to leave. My friend complained to the man who seated us and the waitress came back with a defensive attitude to tell us she was not trying to rush us. Then she disappeared and we had to ask and wait for our check, which was brought by the man who seated us. The food was nothing special and overall it was not a good experience. I won't be going there again.

I’m only giving one star because I had to select something. The atmosphere is old, which wouldn’t be a problem but the food is terrible. We ordered stuffed shrimp with mashed potatoes and veggies. The stuffing tasted old and soggy, mashed potatoes were instant and tasted awful. Calamari was rubbery, rigatoni alla vodka was awful and it wasn’t even vodka sauce. As a first experience was bad, except the sever was polite. The women who runs the restaurant was extremely rude and was yelling at a staff member behind the bar. Didn’t even say thanks for coming in, how was everything, or a simple have a good night.i honestly don’t know how this place is still in business.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Oysters were not cleaned and came out covered in seaweed. Some were broken in half and we were eating more shells than oyster. Calamari was not crispy and some were soggy with oil. My husband ordered the baked shrimp, they were completely overcooked and dry. The side vegetables definitely came from a frozen bag and the mashed potatoes a box. My “special” was a stuffed salmon, which was not actually stuffed just a pile of mush on top ah I was also overcooked. The risotto side had no flavor, I couldn’t even finish one bite. The bread was the only edible part of the meal and that isn’t saying much. Worst meal ever...

We came to this restaurant with high expectations. Waited well over an hour for some very simple entrees (sandwiches, salad, spaghetti). The forks were filthy with crud on it. It was a Wednesday evening and it was not busy. Very disappointed. If I could put 0 stars I would. Do not recommend .

My visit was spoiled by a very grumpy waitress, who was less than professional! While food was just ok,the staff was not! Just getting water glass refilled was difficult. The room was so dark couldn't see the menu and the overall gloomy atmosphere was reflected. They need to try harder and remember they are in the SERVICE industry. :(

Went for Thanksgiving Dinner.The turkey dinner was not bad if you like a plate full of dark meat.Wife ordered the stuffed shrimp dinner @$22. Dinner came with 4 shrimp that were ridiculously small and certainly no more than one bite for each shrimp with the stuffing! we wouldn't even have been able to see the shrimp if wasn't for the tails sticking out from under the fork full of stuffing.I told the waitress that the shrimp were very small and she really didn't care.Shrimp were also cold! So I shared my dark meat turkey dinner with my wife.Waitress was ok if you don't mind reminding her about everything you ask for and some things twice.We ordered dessert ,She got 2 canollis that were the size of my pinkie finger and my pumpkin pie was the size of two fingers put together.I can safely say we will not be back to eat at Venice Restaurant any time soon!

For the price of this restaurant I really expected more. First, it took 20 minutes of calling to get someone to answer the phone to make a reservation. the online reservation (on their own website) said online reservation wasn’t supported. Then when we get there is took another 20 minutes for us to even be acknowledged and seated. While I recognize its prime tourist season, it was not busy at the restaurant. A few full tables but no where near capacity. Then when we ordered the server was short, bordering on rude. I asked for a gin and tonic and asked what gin they had. “What do you want and I’ll tell you if we have it” 😳 ok then. My wife and I ordered scallops and salmon over risotto and veggies. It was not risotto. It was watery rice and microwaved corn cubes. To say it was not appetizing would be an understatement. Our friends ordered the ravioli and it came with 6…I am not kidding….6 smaller than the palm of your hand ravioli. It didn’t even come with a sauce. Absolutely do not recommend eating here. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

Food and drink was outrageously and disgustingly priced for what you order. 5 mediocore scallops for $32 served over bed of crunchy, hard to choke down risotto. Don't eat here unless you have a lot of money to spend and still want to be hungry afterwards. Theres better seafood literally anywhere else around.

The wait staff was nice and welcoming, but the food at this restaurant is beyond terrible, the clams were definitely frozen and so rubbery that you couldn’t even eat them. The bolognese sauce tasted like there was a pound of sugar in it. The ambiance is very dark and dated as well. We would never eat here again and we’re extremely disappointed that this was our last meal of vacation.

I’m a door dash driver, this was a few months back but it still bothers me. I was at this restaurant picking up an order when a few people finished their meals and left. They apparently didn’t leave enough to cover the bill, so the manager got their reservation info and called them so they could come back and fix it. I obviously couldn’t hear what the customers on the phone were saying, but this lady manager was screaming at them on the phone in the middle of the restaurant to “come back right now!!!! Or it’s coming out of the servers pocket!!! (which is illegal). I’ve never eaten here and never will. Just thought others would like to know what kind of people run that place. Stay classy!

My glass was dirty with lipstick on it and I don't wear lipstick. The steak knives are so old there's no teeth left on them so good luck trying to cut your meat. And my steak was over cooked. Definitely needs an up grade in every area. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I won't eat there again.

Food was mediocre, service was ok. No kids menu. Order clam chowder and no crackers. For an Italian restaurant pasta was watery and sauce seemed from a can. Lights where constantly flickering at dining room. We had a dead fly on our window. And some ants were under our table. We were distracted at the time to pay and forgot to give our 10% off coupon ( given by the hotel next door ) when we asked the manager he said he can’t do it and I can come the next day to get the discount. I felt that was extremely rude based on his tone of voice and the fact that we just spend about $120 on dinner. Won’t be back.

When we first got there the hostess asked if we had reservations, which we did not. She then asked if we would like to eat outside or in, we choose in because it was getting late and a little chilly out. She sends us upstairs to the next hostess who then again asks if we have reservations we again say no, she tells us there is no available tables for 3 people but can eat outside, there is a black man behind us who she now asks if he had reservations which he replied no but he was given a table inside and he also had 3 people. The food was just ok, do not order the meatballs they were the most disgusting thing I ever ate. It's safe to say we will never be back here and I would not recommend it.
