Just wow! 🍜 Higuma Ramen & Izakaya completely won me over. The food was incredible — rich flavors, authentic textures, and surprisingly spicy (in the best way!) thanks to their homemade spice blends. As someone used to Indian spice levels, this was the first non-Indian cuisine that actually hit that mark 🔥. The wall art and decor are next level — I genuinely felt like I was tucked away in a cozy ramen spot somewhere in Japan. Loved every bit of it. Can’t wait to go back!

I recently dined at Higuma Ramen & Izakaya in Addison, TX, and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the spicy garlic ramen with both pork and chicken, which was aromatic and packed with rich flavors that perfectly balanced the heat. The teriyaki chicken was tender and glazed to perfection, providing a nice sweetness. The cucumber salad was refreshingly crisp, a great complement to the meal, and the edamame was simply seasoned and enjoyable. The gyoza was perfectly pan-fried with a crispy exterior and flavorful filling. Overall, Higuma Ramen offers a wonderful selection of dishes that left me satisfied, and I can't wait to return for more!

Higuma Ramen & Izakaya is a cute, cozy restaurant that feels like a little slice of Tokyo. I especially loved the few bar seats styled like Ichiran—perfect for a solo meal or a quiet vibe. The food was great, and the service was even better—friendly, attentive, and fast. I ordered the Wagyu Hamburg Curry, and it hit the spot—rich, savory, and super satisfying. Great balance between Japanese comfort food and quality ingredients. Definitely a solid spot if you’re looking for a chill ramen or izakaya-style meal with a touch of authenticity and a lot of charm.

Thought about just getting small bites for dinner but the wagyu burger with curry was calling my name. The patty is tender and not dry like a rubber puck, but the curry is missing body imo. The ramen noodles and broth was actually very flavorful and at lvl 1 spicy it was palatable for my wife. Would recommend sou vide cooking the cha shu, but again thats just my preference. Great service and cute decor. Pleasantly surprised with overall experience.

We had the veggie ramen and thaj curry ramen and loved it ! Also the veggie gyoza were really good didn't even get a chance to take photo!! The chicken karage rice was good... we made sure to ask for addrd ginger on side and chili oil..bland for me personally without it ! The fried mochi ice-cream with strawberry flavour was great!

If you have a pulse and enjoy Ramen, you need to try Higuma!! Noodles cooked to bear perfection, broth that soothes your throat, ingredients that provide valued nutrition and venue that captures Japan! Higuma is a well-designed restaurant that crafts high-quality Ramen. Compliments to the chef! This was my second time going. I got the Spicy Garlic (moderately spicy for spice-lovers)! It was absolutely delicious! It came with 2 different types of noodles, which at first glance is thought-provoking but I enjoyed the combination of wavy and straight noodles. The beef soaked in the broth and amped up the tastiness! It comes with 2 eggs, which is unheard of since a lot of Ramen dishes I've tried only have one. My friend ordered a Bento box and it looked fantastic! He also ordered Miso Ramen to-go and they had it ready in less than 10 minutes. Their service is top-notch and highly attentive to your needs! Strongly recommend everyone to try Higuma at least once. You'll never regret it!

Chill little spot in a strip mall. We got a few apps and each got a ramen. All of the food was really good, we tried the octopus pancakes, chili wontons, Tonkatsu and Black garlic ramen. I ended up getting something with Beef and I'm still not sure what it was but the broth was rich and still tasted great. The Manager caught the mistake quickly and offered the correct order to go free of charge. Overall everyone was friendly, the food was hot and the beer was cold. We don't live close but would definitely visit again when in the area.

My wife and I were curious about Higuma and decided to have lunch here. The salad that was brought out was fresh and the dressing was delicious. We also ordered the vegetable tempura which was good. The spicy gyoza were the best part of the whole meal. I ordered the birria ramen; didn’t really taste like birria. There was not a ton of flavor and the meat was very fatty, I ended up taking the meat out. My wife got the chicken ramen which she really enjoyed. Overall, I would come here again, but I’d change up my order a bit.

Good ramen! Thin noodles and tasty! Only reason not five stars is would say the portion is a little small for price. But the atmosphere is extremely cute! They have an adorable bear mascot! Music is also a decent volume and you can have a conversation with someone across the table with you which is nice.

7.5/10 Food was thoughtfully crafted and brought out reasonably quickly. We ordered the Duck ramen and the Yuzu Lemon ramen. Highly recommend both but I preferred the Yuzu lemon. We also ordered the Agedahsi Tofu and Butter poached scallops as appetizers. Both were good but I preferred the scallops. I've had better Agedashi tofu but it acceptable. Service was decent enough but I felt like the staff was low energy. Overall would recommend, the food is absolutely worth trying for anyone who has been considering it.

This place has a great setting with a very nice chill atmosphere. The interior has lots of dark wood & makes for a calming effect (for me at least). On Saturday @ 8pm, there were available tables and it never felt packed or uncomfortable. We hit the tapas hard. Mini salads, panzu butter scallops, chicken karaage, spicy edamame, cucumber salad, takoyaki, dynamite shrimp, and the kamonegi duck. I enjoyed the salad, my friend was not a fan of the dressing...I could have used more, and there were a few wilted greens in mine that I removed. Insert sad face here. The scallops were really tasty, would order those again for sure... nice to see them come out on the shell instead of fully manicured. Good flavor & very tender. Next, a personal favorite of mine, the Karaage chicken. I get this every time I see it available. Here, the batter was thin & really crisp (on point), and the chicken was so moist. As a dry version with the sauce on the side, near perfection. The dipping sauce was small, but honestly not really even needed in my opinion. The spicy edamame is a go to as well, and my friend was very excited even though she doesn't really do spicy. She thought it was really good, but it was above her heat level by a few steps & she instantly asked me if they had milk available 😆 🤣 ...I, on the other hand thought it was really good & devoured all of it after my friend called it quits due to the 4 alarm fire in her mouth. Caution if you have a sensitivity to spicy awesomeness. If you do have an aversion to spicy... or just want something refreshing & light... the cucumber salad is where it's at! This was a great balancer of the spicy & also served as a palate cleanser. It was very good & complimented all the other flavors nicely. The takoyaki is also something I always get whenever available. I did enjoy them, but I believe the ratio of ingredients could have been better. Each ball was cooked well & had the pillowy softness of the dough when biting into it, but the small bits of octopus were insufficient to balance out the amount of dough. In addition the sauce drizzled over the top was a little excessive on the mayo side & just created more of a slippery mayo taste/ texture which overpowered the flavor of the ball itself. The octopus should be the star, it is the prize inside after all. Coming back around to spicy again... the dynamite shrimp. This was a table favorite. The flavor, the texture of the semi crisp edges on the shrimp, it was a great suggestion from our very polite & friendly waitress. I would order two of these next time, very tasty. Not nearly as spicy as the edamame, fyi. We also were suggested the duck by our waitress. When it arrived, we had to retrieve it from the grass lol, as it was almost hidden. I ate some of the grass, not bad... but once I got a taste of the duck, the grass was scraped aside. I thought it was tender, but lacked flavor. I ended up dipping it in another sauce to liven it up. Not bad, but not my cup of tea. **forgot to take a pic of this dish, but you can see it in the upper left corner of the shrimp dish picture. For drinks we ordered the house infused pineapple sake. I also ordered a Lychee soda, which I really, really enjoyed (I rarely drink soda), and then opened it and ate the fruit when I was finished. The sake was pretty good, but it kinda got lost in the other flavors & wasn't really memorable. However, I felt great when I left, so it was effective and I would dance with her again. I will absolutely go back to try other items & indulge in a few of the new favorites again. Overall, very enjoyable experience!

A friend chose this place for lunch at 1:30 today. Despite being fairly empty, servers ignored us until we flagged one down. Drinks and food came out piecemeal and made us think she forgot the rest of our order. The vegan roll with tofu tasted fishy and the "vegetable" tempura was only squash and the tempura was an orange color. The veg potstickers were good, but it was easy to miss the dark sauce in the corner of a black plate. On top of such a lackluster experience, it was so warm inside, which we asked about; it never got cooler, so apparently nothing was done about it. I didn't say anything to the server because I knew it would make our friends uncomfortable - but then, the server never gave me an opening by coming back to our table to ask how everything tasted.
