Cannot recommend this place enough! The best Thai food I've had in the DFW area. I find a lot of places tend to tone down the spice and thus sacrifice some flavor, but this place does not. When you ask for spicy that's what you get. As someone who's been to Thailand twice, this place is as authentic as it gets. The softshell crab with yellow curry was very very good, this is something you must get if you come here. The drunken noodles and tom yum soup were also delicious. I ordered takeout and the man who was working there when I went to pick it up was also friendly and suggested that I order by telephone next time in order to avoid online fees. Thanks!

Winner winner! Went to this little place as a recommendation and did not disappoint. The service at the takeout counter was friendly. We enjoyed chatting with the front-of-house. Our food was 10/10 and we have experienced our share of great Thai food previous to this. We ordered Panang Curry, Drunken Noodles, and fried tofu. Can’t wait to come back and try the Crispy Duck Thai Basil, the Papaya Salad, and the Mango Sticky Rice! Stay tuned!

I am convinced that this is the best Thai food in DFW. I’ve tried so many places, but Tomyumkung always takes the lead. The ambiance is great and the husband and wife who own the restaurant are sweet and friendly. It’s my top recommendation for Thai food!

I go here pretty often with my wife. We love the soft shell crab curry and the fried chicken. We ALWAYS have to get those two dishes every time we go. Definitely a hidden gem here in Dallas. The restaurant is ran by a husband and wife and they are always so sweet! Thanks for being my favorite Thai restaurant.

Very nice place to dine in. I haven't taken advantage of the BYOB yet, but I will soon. There are way too many delicious things to get here, my friend and I often will get lunch and then order a second dish for dinner after. Their eggplant and softshell crab are our favorites so far, with the duck fried rice a close third.

Was in the area and just walked in. Was absolutely blown away by the quality, authenticity, and portions of the food. The duck soup was one of the best I’ve had and the pineapple fried rice was amazing. Will be back to try other dishes!

We visited for lunch on Saturday. We ordered the appetizer platter, Tom Yum Kung, and Green Curry. After consulting with the staff, we chose Medium Hot for the Tom Yum Kung, but it was a little too spicy for me. However, all the dishes were incredibly delicious, and the woman who served us was absolutely wonderful. We truly loved this restaurant! We still have so many other dishes we want to try. We'll definitely be back anytime we want authentic Thai food.

After searching for a local and authentic place to sit down with a friend from out of town, we found this place. We were welcomed kindly and told we could pick our location around the restaurant to sit. Our waiter was extremely kind and caring about our order, drinks, and everything else. This was a great experience. It’s one of those where the subtle details and awareness of what someone is doing are really genuine and rare. Followed by our food which was executed flawlessly, in abundance absolutely as well. The flavors, ingredients, texture all the real deal. Again excellent and rare to find the value like this with the flavor and execution to back it too. They even customized our order with diet restrictions for my wife and I we are vegan. I was able to use Apple Pay at the counter where I was a bit surprised to meet the owner and we struck up a conversation about what I do (wearing a car shirt) and we talk about about small business things and stuff. It turned out his wife was an owner as well. She was the one serving us too. This was just a very positive feeling as my wife and I work at and run our company too. Their positivity and professionalism really lifted us up. I will frequent this place as often as possible.

We ordered the Basil Chicken Fried Rice, Red Curry, and Gyoza. The Basil Chicken Fried Rice came in a large portion and was absolutely delicious. The Red Curry was not only generous in size but also incredibly flavorful—honestly, it’s the best Red Curry I’ve ever had. It even had eggplant in it, and I just couldn’t stop eating it with rice. This place is truly a must-try Thai restaurant. I highly recommend it with confidence—everyone should go!

Had the Taro curry puffs & crab cheese Rangoon for appetizers, pineapple fried rice and it was sooo delicious! Best Thai restaurant hands down! Service was great, prices affordable and large portions. Highly recommend.

This place is BOSS. It's in a really unassuming little shopping center but the food and service are 10 out of 10. I almost always have the tom yum soup because it's my favorite dish but today I felt like going off script and had the Thai green curry on the recommendation of our waitress. It was excellent! The spice levels are legit, I eat pretty spicy food regularly and I top out at 8 out of 10 here. Go here and order extra for leftovers tomorrow as a favor to your future self!

I absolutely loved this place. Had it recommended to me and it was just as I expected. The green curry was amazing and one of the best Thai dishes I have ever had. The waiter was attentive and nice! W as not busy at all which was a shame because it deserves the attention! If you are considering please check it out. My friends got the pad Thai and pad see ew and loved it as well

Came here to dine on my own and the service was really attentive. I ordered a thai tea, fresh spring rolls, and drunken noodles. the spice ranges from 1-10 and I ordered a 3. I highly recommend and they are so local to where I live!

I tried tomyumkung today and I have A NEW FAVORITE THAI RESTAURANT in and around dallas. We ordered: Kao Soi - 6/5 (Yes, a 6 on 5 !!!) Crispy Soft Shell Crab - 5/5 Kra Prow Kai Dow - 5/5 Yellow Curry - 3/5 Basil Thai Fried Rice - 2.5/5 Fried Icecream - 4/5 Mango with Sticky Rice - 3/5 Kao Soi is a “MUST TRY” ! I have a higher tolerance to spice, so I got 8/10 spice. It was absolutely amazing ! No matter how much I hype it, it won’t be enough. The crab appetizer was also amazing ! It isn’t imitation crab, so even better ! Kra Prow Kai Dow - the minced chicken was so flavorful and tasty !

This place was vey nice! As soon as we got in we were greeted by the server! She was very nice and friendly I got a Thai ice tea and soon after that we start to order! The food arrived fairly quick my wife got the Pad Thai and I got the Kra Prow Kai Dow! I ordered a 5/10 spicy level and I was very satisfied with the level of spicy it had the perfect amount of kick for me! Hahahaha My wife wanted the Pad Thai to be more spicy so she added more chilli. The experience was very nice and enjoyable … this is a very nice place to explore and check out the food was very tasty and we were both very happy! I would definitely come back and get some more Pad Thai next time I crave some Thai food 🍲 I recommend this place if you have a craving for Thai food and they will deliver! October 2024 Found this restaurant after checking out the Chinese grocery. We were surprised by the generous portion of each dish. This was also the very first time we discovered Kuai Jab in Texas. We don’t see this dish offered in countless Asian restaurants we visited. The flavor of Kuai Jab was pretty closed to Asia even though it can be less salty. Great job preparing the meals for us. We were be back and we highly recommend this Thai restaurant. My rating as 5 is the highest Taste 4/5 Temperature 5/5 food was served hot. Attentiveness 4/5 it was a slow day, we were the only customers. Cleanliness 4/5

One of the best Thai places in town!!! Great service and all our food tasted fresh. If you dine in and are sharing food with a non-spice lover, ask for the chili tray so you can add more spice to your dish. Remember: you can control the heat going in, but not going out. You gotta try this place!

Solid little Thai place. I had the Red Curry, Tom Kha and Crispy Spring Rolls. The Red Curry I would give a solid 8/10. Flavor profile was on point and they had fresh Thai Chili’s which you must always order with curry. Tom Kha was 7/10 good soup and decent vegetables. Crispy Spring rolls 5/10. The cabbage tasted old and gave off a strong pungent taste. Service was impeccable.

The food is great here. Prices are affordable and the portion size is great. I have had a few dishes here and has been mostly perfect except a couple dishes were a bit salty....but still tasted great. The staff are super nice also and the food comes out fairly quickly.
