Not sure what the negative reviews are talking about but my guess 9/10 it’s picky/bad customers. All the times I’ve been here, the staff was friendly, the computers worked well and didn’t have any issues with peripherals. It’s an Internet cafe so it’s expected that accessories and things will need replacement from time to time but in my experience they do a good job of ensuring it’s all in working order. Great snack selection and comfy chairs. I will definitely be back.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Been coming here before they were called Rank 1. The new owner Sam is awesome, and his staff is super cool. My wife and I love the cheap prices, S tier gaming equipment, and Shin Ramen is a nice touch! 100% will continue to give this place all my money.

This is by far the best gaming cafe I’ve been to, amazing customer service, and made the experience 1000x better. Easy to work with, and helped install all the games we wanted to play! Would recommend this cafe to anyone!

Great atmosphere. Popped in for a few hours while waiting for family at a concert. Staff was helpful, Prices were fair and didn’t have any problems with my PC i used. I was also allowed to use my own gear and was easy to setup.

The friendliest staff that I've ever known anywhere. Their tech is first rate and reliable as well as their connection to the web. I wish they were open later but it's understandable. I recommend Rank 1 over all others to my friends

It take a great service to convince a costumer that they are welcome at their business 👏🏼 keep up the good work. Fantastic establishment great upkeep and delicious food menu. Large variety of drinks and snacks, definitely recommend coming in with an empty stomach. Also I’m no tech expert, but 240fps with 4-8 ping is a unicorn 🦄 where I come from. Give them a visit and don’t forget to bring your buddy with you 🫵🏼

Wonderful establishment with great services. They provide you high end computers with all the peripherals provided on top of that so you can come and play. Prices are great enough for anyone to enjoy. They all serve snacks and food that is prepared with great quality and overall is a pleasant experience to spend a few hours or a day there.

This place has excellent PC specs, really nice peripherals, and monitors with very high refresh rates. The chairs were comfy, and unlike what others say, I like the dim lighting and the atmosphere. They have VIP rooms that the owner says “has a 25% increase in performance”, they have better chairs, keyboards, and computers in those rooms. I came with some friends, and when we started setting up with our gear, we had some trouble getting the computers to recognize them. The employees were amiable and helpful, fixing the issue for us and giving us more time back than we spent setting things up. The owner, Sam, was a lovely guy who struck up a conversation with my friends and me and showed us around. He cares about his customers, and it shows. Overall it was a great experience, the prices were justifiable, the computers and gear were great, and we loved the atmosphere! We’ll be back soon :)

I only hope that next time the computers all have keyboards and working headphones. But the place is super clean! And has great computers and monitors.

Rank 1 Gaming Cafe is probably the best PC cafe you can go to in Dallas. Great atmosphere, good peripherals, and even better computers. I don’t expect a gaming cafe to be a library but there are customers there, regardless of what time of day you visit, who just don’t know how to behave. From screaming insults directed towards other players in their online games, to clapping, yelling, banging on desks, and obnoxious over-exaggerated laughter i’ve experienced it all on more than a few occasions. and once it starts it doesn’t stop. It really bothers me that the business doesn’t have some sort of code of conduct that’s enforced by the employees. If you can get past all of that, then I don’t think you’d have a bad experience here.

This should be indicative of how the rest of the review will sound. We paid for the Tuesday special price and were told to just find any computer. The computer I sat down at first did not have a mouse. The second one did not have my game downloaded despite it being on the list of universally downloaded games, and it wouldn't let me download it because there was no space remaining on any of the drives. The third computer had my game but it was not updated. I started the update but it took over an hour with the internet speed. While I waited, there was no AC, and no staff interference for the other people gaming who were yelling obscenities and slurs at their games. I understand it is not the employee's job to police language, but it is still a public space, albeit not a particularly welcoming one. I was confused by the fact that there were no headphones, but when I asked the employee at the front he told me to just look around and find some myself or move to a new pc. The keyboards had missing keys and worn away labels, the mouses were mismatched, and the desk space was grimy all over, so the space I had, my fourth pc, was the best I was going to get. When the game updated, it was completely unplayable and froze within a minute of being in the game. I left Rank 1 Gaming with my discord and steam still logged in because the computer would not respond, shut down, or restart. While I got my refund, my companion went to the women's bathroom and came back without using it saying it was unstocked and unclean. Also internet "cafe" is a stretch

Don't be caught in beautiful photos. All PC and inventory trash. Games crash, mice and keyboards stick. And that's all for 7 $ per hour

This place is a scam. Computers don't work and a lot of their keyboards are broken although it says it's an "Internet cafe". Gyu - the manager was very rude when techinical issues happened at a "Computer cafe" and said that's NOT their problem. How irresponsible! Don't even bother to try this place.
