Employees are absolutely clueless and management if appalling. Trying to order something at the kiosks takes a minimum of 20 minutes and they are never correct and don’t read coupon QR codes. Then the manager makes you feel like you are a fool and doing it all wrong until she tries and has the same problems!! It’s just not worth the time and effort to go to Pollo Loco any more. It’s a shame because the food is not bad. It’s just the ordering kiosks and the management that is terrible. I’ve been a very long time customer but today was the final straw. No more. Burger King, Taco Bell, and McDonalds and Jack in the Box are all right next to it so go elsewhere. What a shame, this management has driven this place into the ground.

This hurts because I enjoy El Pollo Loco’s chicken, but when I was waiting for my food, I couldn’t help but notice that they had plastic bags bordering the containers in which they served their sides on like rice and Mac and cheese. I presume they do this to save time on cleaning. I consider this practice to be quite gross frankly and damaging to health. I really hope they change this soon because I doubt other el pollo loco restaurants do this.

This place is so understaffed.. avoid it at all cost.. employee just ignore u .. it takes more than 10 mins just to get ur order.. everyone is rude.. definitely a place to avoid

Soggy brown lettuce, no pollo, barely any rice or beans and they didn't seem to care. Maybe it was a bad day here, but should have hit McDonalds instead!

Disappointed. Asked for a chicken queso burrito with no pico… There was no queso in the burrito and pico was added. I went in around 9pm after class, if there was no queso I would’ve ordered something else.

Probably the most unfriendly staff I’ve encountered. The people at the drive thru were possibly the most unfriendly people I’ve ever encountered at a drive thru. The woman covered in tattoos at the checkout counter didn’t say a word to me, didn’t smile and failed to correctly operate the credit card terminal to take my Apple Pay payment. The woman who took my order wasn’t much better either. I visited 08-07-2025 at approx 12:20pm during lunch time.

Was very disappointed. Ordered the Avacado chicken bowl. There was no avocado, a half a teaspoon of sour cream and a few dried pieces of chicken. Lots of rice and beans. Won’t make the ride there again. Used to be the only fast food restaurant I went to.

I don't know what's up with the location. I came one day and got a fajita burrito, it was huge. But the meat was wrong, it was spongy, slimey, chewy, gross. I usually get the $5 burrito combo, I know the cheap burrito and the expensive burritos use different meats, white vs dark. So I thought man I haven't had a white meat burrito from EPL in a long time let me treat my self, but it was bad, was it one bad burrito, is the white meat always this gross? IDK... So I came back today. Gross again, idk what this meat is, it's in blocks, slimy, chewy, gross. I added some pics. Two times I came and both times it was gross, not coming back here. The EPL close to my house does not have this problem they have good meat. I go to EPL alot, this is the only one that I have seen with this gross meat problem. I drive 1.5 to 2 hours to get home, this spot was convenient because it's halfway home, but it's gross, if I want EPL I'll just wait until I get home, ill be extra hungry! They asked me to contact them, so I did, lets see what happens.
