This place always hits the spot. The burgers are great. I love that they have a condiment bar.
Great burger in a cool place. Old school! Family friendly but still a good afternoon date spot.
My first time back in over 30 years. Food still the same and not 30 years more jacked on the price 👍 miss the peanut shells everywhere and the pinball machines. But I was happy to have a NY steak sandwich at $17.99. Not to bad when 33 years ago I paid $7.99. And the flavor, taste, and memory was close accept for the pinball machines and free peanuts everywhere. I hope you last another 33 years.
Nice place with good service and great pizza and drinks. Came here with my team for a night out and had a lot of fun. The drinks and the food are at fair prices
Top notch place to see sports games. And kid friendly with a pool table and games. Outdoor and indoor seating. And the food variety is not only delicious but have good pricing. The spot to go to!
Pretty good bar and pizza! The fries were also unexpectedly delicious like better than MCD's in its prime good. Ordered the Brisket pizza which immediately caught my attention and for good reason! Smokey tender brisket with savory caramelized onions and the mushrooms really balanced everything in one bite. The beer selection was excellent and the cocktails were great. Plenty of bar games but only a single pool table so take your chances if thats all you came for. Great vibe overall.
Went here at lunch time to eat and watch some college football with my 8 year old son. Had a great time, and my son enjoyed playing pool and the arcade games. Was more kid friendly and I a lot more other kids there than I expected, which was great.
The name sounds fancy, but the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. The decor is festive & lively, and staff is very friendly. Food is nothing out of the ordinary, but they have a wide selection of great menu items. Everything I've ordered there has been great, and the portions were good size. I usually eat there every time I'm in the area, which is pretty often. Definitely check it out if you want a good burger or pizza!
We arrived at 5pm PST at Stanford's iconic Dutch Goose (founded in 1966) to watch our beloved Nuggets lose to the Miami Heat. The Cali crowd was wearing Warrior's gear, but cheering for Denver. Our hero stood in line next to a very independent 5 year old (in the red shirt) ordering with a baggie full of his savings. Sundays are definitely adorable family days at "the Goose." 😁 The wine & beer choices were amazing and budget friendly. In Menlo Park, you can find Russian River Beer & Flowers Pinot at a dive bar for $22 per round (including taxes). The bacon on our burgers was crispy salty deliciousness. The extra crispy fries were NOT extra crispy. It saved us from being complete 🐷🐷🐷🙄.
This place is big, but don't expect any available tables, it's also busy!!! You place your order first, it's a self serve restaurant. The selection of food is large, and prices were good. There is an outdoor bar in the back and front. A great place to watch your favorite sports team play!!!
A great lively restaurant and sports bar that has a nice almost rustic feel to it. Come here to watch a game, catch up with some friends and family, or just have some burgers, fries beer and wine. There's a lot of local sports memorabilia and pictures on the wall. There are 2 outdoor areas and 2 indoor areas, lots of seating yet can get busy during peak hours. No wait service here. You need to make your order at the counter and either wait to pick it up or they'll call your name. The kids might enjoy the mini arcade or the billiards table.
Historic and well known local restaurant and bar located in Menlo Park. If visiting the area it's worth checking this spot out, as it has a lot of history in Menlo Park, it's well regarded by locals, and the food/beer is great. Plenty of outdoor seating, food consists of hamburgers, fries, and other similar items. [The Food and Drink] The food here is great. It mainly consists of American food like hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, etc - but it tastes good! It's decently fast too, especially how busy this spot gets. It's nice that you can actually watch the staff cooking the food as well. They also sell alcohol as well. There is a bar that is a little away from the food area that sells mixed drinks and beer. You can also buy food in the restaurant area. [The Location] The location here is great, right off of Alameda. Parking can be pretty difficult at times so be prepared for that. Otherwise, it's a nice location in a little less traveled area of Menlo Park, mostly known to locals. Many people come here after their kid's sports games or other school events. Plenty parties are hosted here as well as events. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area and interested in the history of Menlo Park.
The Tuna Melt was so good I started devouring it before I took a picture of it. So it's only half a sandwich and an '805 Brand' beer. Highly recommend this place. Trendy crowd. Family, business and sports fans welcome. Pool table and indoor / outdoor seating upstairs. Outdoor and indoor seating downstairs as well. .. One suggestion.. More seating needs to be available due to popularity. It's unfortunate to walk in to a completely full packed restaurant with no where to sit. Update: About half a year later, had a different beer, and same tuna melt.. INCREDIBLE! I enjoyed this visit with my Dad and it was great!!
f is a great bartender she's very professional and very skilled i like her customer service and i would come back because my experience was 10/10

Great prices for the food, great beer, great ambience (love the dive bar feel) and games

Best deviled eggs I’ve ever had. If you’re a mayonnaise-lover like me, you’re in for a treat. Get the platter, it’s worth it. Asked for the recipe on my way out…
I ordered a milkshake and smoked brisket sliders and fries. The milkshake was so authentic I drank it so fast I got an ice cream headache. The brisket was tasty and the fries hit and crispy. All the servers were great too. The only issue is parking, but it was a beautiful day for a short walk
The classic. Good seating and drink selection, friendly staff. Good seating outside with full satellite bar, the patio area is open and nice protection from the weather. Get there early, parking is tight.
Been going here for years. Culture must stop. Food is good and charming atmosphere. Not super fancy. Kiddo friendly and super casual.
It's decent pub food (certainly not the best), but at the right price point and with reasonable quantities especially for a location in the heart of Menlo Park. Think of this as a sports pub. If you like pub food in a sports environment, you'll appreciate Dutch Goose. In the years I've been coming here, I've come to appreciate their consistency. I like that you order at the counter and then choose your own seat, indoor or outdoor. I can see how this place gets incredibly crowded at times, so beware of that. I believe you can reserve a spot for large groups. In terms of food: * Decent selection of beers * Fried onion rings and fries were good - I've had better with lighter batter, but these were good * Burger was okay - I've definitely had better, but it served its purpose * Pastrami sandwich was a hit (according to my son) and really hit the spot for him - I had a bite the next day, and it was quite good (with that nicely oil-toasted bread) * Not sure what brought me to order a french dip at a place like this, but I enjoyed it I would come back again, and I can see how it would be a really fun place to watch a game with friends and other fans.
Food was pretty awesome and had a lot of flavor. I had a bacon burger and tried the brisket sliders. The atmosphere was great and there is tons of space and tvs to watch sports games. There's a pool table and a couple games for kids and an outside bar. The food can take a bit of time which is why the 4 stars. I would definitely recommend.

Love this place and grew up here but wish they would bring back the original cheeseburger! This one continues to be disappointing every time and seems to be getting worse.

We use to love to come here for drinks and food. Now the food is terrible, cold and overcooked or not anything like what you expected. Waited 45 minutes tonight for French Onion soup with no Cheese…
The good thing about the place is that it will be open all weekdays until midnight, and overall, it is a friendly place. However, the food quality and service are just okay!
I first started going to the Dutch Goose over 25 years ago, and it used to be a regular hangout spot when I had friends living nearby. So I was excited to meet up with some people there recently to catch a game. I’ve always loved the laid-back, no-frills vibe at the Dutch Goose—it’s a classic spot and a bit of a hidden gem in Menlo Park. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for grabbing a drink, catching up with friends, and watching a game in a casual, nostalgic setting. That said, I was disappointed with the food during this visit, especially considering the prices. I wasn’t expecting gourmet fare, but it fell short even of basic expectations. The place was busy as it was a Friday night, and I didn’t mind waiting about 50–55 minutes for our food order. The bigger issue was that we weren’t notified until all of our food was ready. By the time we picked up the food from the heat lamp area, it was clear that some of it—like the pizza and salad—had been sitting there for quite a while, waiting on the burger to be finished. As a result, the Caesar salad was actually warm—hotter than the pizza—and as you can imagine, a warm Caesar salad doesn’t quite hit the mark. I’ll definitely be back, but next time I’ll keep it simple with just drinks and fries—which are always solid.
Pretty good spot if you like Scottish eggs and a pub atmosphere. Beware that during the summer it is going to be HOT and there is no AC. The vanilla milkshake was bomb!
Three is a generous rating. my wife says a two star. The changeable sign said the wait was over 30 minutes and it was that long. Good place to watch the game or for the team after the game. Appar…

Burger was perhaps the worst on the Peninsula. Still a good place for a beer or two. Food lost a step. Burgers used to be big and juicy. Now flat and dry. Disappointing.
