Opinions de Indian Grill Alameda
So delicious! 😋 many vegetarian options: my favorite is the Shahi Paneer! Baingan Bhartha is a second favorite with a good kick to it
Delicious Indian food. Ordered the naan, tandoori chicken, mixed vegetables, rice, and chicken masala. Everything was so good. You can choose your degree of spice. Service was good and they were very attentive.
This is my favorite place to eat authentic and delicious Indian cuisine, the food and staff both get 5 stars...the owner is a great guy and very polite.... I traveled from Los Angeles all the way to Alameda and my first stop was here. Can't wait to come back.
Have gotten Take out before, but I ate in today. Service was great, food came out very quickly, and it was overall a nice relaxing place to dine. We got the butter chicken, palak paneer, and the aloo gobi masala. Also some garlic naan and basmati rice of course.
The best Indian restaurant in Alameda, great flavors and fantastic service. There portions are good and even menu prices are very economical. They are very attentive and helpful, definitely going to go back again.
BEST INDIAN FOOD EVER! I absolutely love Indian cuisine and have tried Indian restaurants in both the USA and Europe. India Palace is hands-down one of the best places to go if you're looking for authentic, tasty, and absolutely delicious Indian Food. I got the Chicken Palak to go, paired it with some rice at home, and will definitely be back to try the Chicken Tikka Masala next!
I love this restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and the tables are welcoming. The food is always good, the spices delicately balanced. Had the tikki masala and veggie kulchas with basmati rice and garlic naan this time. Delicious. 😋

Traditional India (Hindi) food and amazing. Flavors are some of the best on the island. They have a capacity to do very large bookings with a proper level of scheduling. India Palace is now on our top 5 best food on the island.
First time at India Palace and it was a comforting Indian food that hits the spot. I had the chicken basmati rice, lamb palak, and Mulligatawny soup — all warm, flavorful, and well-spiced without going overboard. The lamb palak was rich and savory, the rice was fragrant and fluffy. The spiced lentil soup was smooth, but I preferred one with more texture. I ended up eating it as a curry over the rice the next day. Solid portions, friendly service, and an easy place to come back to when you want something comforting.
Their lunch buffet is the best. If they wanted to make it simply the best in the Bay they would add garlic naan to the buffet. Garlic does not cost that much and would take it over the top!!!

We didn't order much, but unfortunately the butter chicken curry had very little chicken. The palak paneer was delicious, as was the naan. Nice wine menu and restaurant had a lovely ambience.
I enjoy this restaurant and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a change in scenery.

This restaurant was my daughter's choice for her Birthday dinner. She helped us pick a number of dishes, appetizers, rice and naan. All of it was good. One person commented most Indian restaurants serve spicier food than this place. It was spicy enough for me. I'm sure people can request more or less spice as needed. They are family friendly and have high chairs for little ones. Prices are very reasonable, our family of six feasted and got out under $300 tax, tip. out the door.

Loved this restaurant pre-covid. Always Went for the lunch buffet. Back then it was just $15 per person, all you can eat (now $21.99 each/ “thanks a lot” CA inflation). Pre-covid You could even get a take out container to fill if you wanted to buy the buffet food to-go. Went this week 1/7/26 and I brought my dad, who has never tried Indian cuisine before. I thought it would be a good way for him to try different dishes to see what he likes. Well it was disappointing. A majority of the dishes offered were so spicy-hot that our mouths were on fire! It made it hard to enjoy the flavors of each dish. We could barely get through the 1st plate because only a couple choices were mild enough to enjoy. Our 2nd plate was carefully selected mild choices like fruit and the 2-3 lightly fried veggy options. In all my previous years of enjoying the India Palace buffet I have never had this experience with food so spicy! We both left very disappointed. I don’t think it gave my dad a good impression or encourage him to try Indian food again. Sad because in the past I have “highly recommended” India Palace to many friends and business colleagues.

Be aware of their mango lassi full of water and we end up not drinking it. Garbage it, but the food was ok not very good either. Better places to eat Indian food. Here is the picture of it
The food was tasty (though light on proteins), however the bathroom was in poor condition and the moment I started eating one of the staff sprayed Windex on a nearby table making everything taste like cleaning fluid. Not an ideal dining experience.
Food tasted good, but I'm a little concerned about hygiene. It wasn't until the end of the meal that I noticed one of the cooks in the back coughing repeatedly without covering his mouth or washing his hands. Also there were a lot of flies, and I saw a server put a used flyswatter down on a tray also used to carry food.

Food was amazing one of the staff was in a rush to leave and couldn’t even provide proper utensils or the bill in an appropriate manner.

Went to an India iPalace order to go. I talk the customer service put the red sauce and green sauce with tandoori chicken and they didn’t put anything bad service. Not recommend anyone order that Louis chicken if you order, please check your order before you’re leaving the counter. Thank you.

really like India Palace—the food is delicious and consistently good. However, the service has been disappointing. The staff, especially the server who helped us, came across as rude and arrogant. This was my third time dining here with friends, and unfortunately the same attitude was present again.

We are big fans of India Palace, but something wasn't right tonight when I came to pick up to go order and couldn't get anyone to give it to me. Everyone kept just walking by and ignorimg all of us lined up for our orders. When I finally was allowed to pay for my to go order, the lady basically threw it on the counter. Hope they figure out what's going on, but we won't be back for a long time.
