Amazing bar with variety of beers, wine and cocktail. Lovely staff and amazing atmosphere delicious food (try their pizza). Highly recommend if you visiting Alameda area.

I was pleasantly surprised at 1400 bar & grill. The outside/ inside decor looks like it could use an update, so I wasn’t expecting much from the food/ service. We decided to try this place out because of Alameda’s Restaurant week and they had the most appealing fixed menu. We ended up ordering from the menu and not going pre-fixed. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with fries and my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sliders and poutine fries. The food was really good! I like extra crispy fries and they use quality ingredients for the sandwich. Also our server was very nice - checked-in, was accommodating. So don’t let the exterior fool you, this place is worth the visit.

I recently organized a social gathering for about 25 people at 1400 Bar and Grill, and I can’t say enough about how absolutely amazing and accommodating the entire experience was! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make our event special. The back patio was the perfect setting for our large group, offering a fantastic atmosphere that everyone enjoyed. The food was nothing short of delicious, with something to please every palate in our group. The service was exceptional— attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel welcomed. We were also touched by the restaurant’s thoughtful gesture of contributing to our event’s success in a special way, which we deeply appreciate. 1400 Bar and Grill deserves every one of these five stars (honestly, I’d give them 10/5 if I could!). Thank you for making our gathering unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I stopped by for Fish and Chips and a Margarita. Everything was fantastic. The only comment I have that could make things better is, have a bottle of malt vinegar instead of that little spray bottle (I brought my own).

we had a family gathering on the patio. there were probably around 30 guests. one wait staff took our drink orders and then meal orders. she was fabulous! the food was amazing! the patio is fenced and protected from the wind so enjoyed everything about it. highly recommend you try it out!

Pleasantly surprised by this gastropub-style spot! We were craving burgers and pizza and everything hit the spot. The veggie burger with a chicken sub was super tasty and the staff was really friendly. Friends loved the half-and-half pizza. Definitely feels like a hidden gem. Would come back!

Delicious pizzas, next time I'm trying one of the burgers the table next to us ordered, they looked great. Such friendly welcoming service, it's one of our new family night spots. 2/8/25 I was in town for my students' science fair, had an hour break so I stopped by 1400 for a quick bite. First time I tried the spam fries and they were perfectly crunchy/salty, they paired great with the pilsner! Shout out to the bartender, too. She was very kind and professional.
