Opinions de Izakaya Yoki Alameda
This place offers all you can eat sushi. That’s a rare find in San Francisco. I think it was $40-$50/person. You’re given 2 hours only. They will notify you when it’s close to your 2hr mark. The service is great and the place is pretty big. I would suggest you take some sort of public transportation as parking in this area is tough. There is an iPad on the table that has the menu. You can also place your order through the iPad. Since you’re given 2hrs, it’s best to order several dishes at once. All the food was delicious. One thing to note is that the sashimi is very thinly sliced. I was fine with it because it avoided getting too full. Plus, you could always order more, if needed. Every dish was good. I would recommend this place.
I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. Throughout my trip in San Francisco, Yoki Sushi was my favourite restaurant. The service was quick and the food was made fresh. The waitress and waiters would top-up your water whenever they notice it needs refilling, they have devices on each table for customers to order without having to order verbally which is really convenient. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was really comforting. Although it can get loud and busy, we didn't mind it as we were focusing mainly on our food. You can order unlimited sushi.
We got seated really quickly on Sunday, even though it was peak dinner hour. We went with the all-you-can-eat option, but they also offer a la carte if you prefer. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting such high-quality sushi from an all you can eat place and not just the sushi, everything we ordered was delicious (karaage, tonkatsu, etc.). You can order anything from the full menu, not just sushi, which was a nice surprise. The service was impressively fast — once we submitted our order on the tablet, the food started coming out within minutes. I’d definitely bring some friends back to enjoy this experience again!
We tried the all you can eat. The quality of sashimi was pretty good unlike your typical all you can eat. They seem to be a little too busy. It was hard to find our waitress. They were all running around. I guess they are very popular.
I had an amazing dining experience. The sushi rolls were absolutely delicious—each bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The variety on the menu was impressive, catering to both traditional and creative sushi lovers. Beyond the food, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The ambiance was also inviting, making it an ideal place for both casual dinners and special occasions. Highly recommended for sushi lovers—I’ll definitely be coming back!
Went to here a few time aleady and am really impressed. The all-you-can-eat menu has a great variety including good appetizers, and everything tasted fresh and acceptable quality. Great value for what you get. I will definitely coming back.
EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD!!! *chef's kiss* We came on a saturday night and was lucky to get seated after like 10-15 mins. The atmosphere was alright but the food was great. 2 of us ordered like 40 nigiris and 5 rolls and were so full after. You have to wait 10 mins before you order more nigiris tho and there is a 90-min time limit. Totally recommend!!!
Loved the gyoza to start, it was very crunchy and flavorful. The lion king roll and galaxy roll were delicious. But because the sushi rolls were so flavorful it left the chirashi tasting a bit flavorless. Overall yummy food but stick with the rolls! Also uni bites were tangy and fishy burst of flavor, worth trying!
Incredible food. Decent atmosphere. Friendly staffs. Their yoki salad is amazing as well as the salad in my dinner plate (which I usually never touch in every Japanese restaurant I visit ). The shrimp rush roll was really tasty and fresh... you can tell they use quality ingredients. The mixed tempura in my dinner plate only had 1 piece of shrimp, and the rest are veggies that are a little too oily for me. I don't recommend it. But everything else was great and priced reasonably. Will be back for sure.
Stopped by a local Izakaya and was very satisfied. Without reservations I was seated immediately and served up a cold IPA while perusing the wide offerings. Went with the scallops app and tamago nigiri for starters and had a great shrimp salad as main with mochi ice cream to finish. Service attentive, polite and timely with open glass filled view of the city. Very nice
They do the nigiri correct here. Not too much rice, the fish is enveloping the mound of rice completely, a nice cut of fish, the nigiri is fully seasoned/marinated/topped complimentary to the fish and you don't need to dip in any sauce. Fresh fish, quick service, understandable price. My favorite nigiri here: Shiro Maguro, Iwana, Hamachi Toro, Kampachi
We have always loved this place and it's been our go to sushi spot long before they started offering the all you can eat option. At first we were a lil apprehensive when they started the all you can eat because the lines were long. I do have to stay all of that has changed, we still have to time our arrival or wait 15-20 minutes but have really come to love the AYCE option it gives us a chance to step outside our usual order and try everything else they have to offer and it saves us about $20-$50 from what it would normally run us. I want other to check this out even if it mean we'll have to wait longer, the owners n staff hear have earned our loyalty n support. Thank you Yoki for your consistency in quality, service and innovation. You remain our first choice n go to local sushi in the city!

Excellent food and service! The torched avocado was amazing. The gyoza was substantial. They have all you can eat, but we went à la carte and shared. Super friendly wait staff. Wish I would’ve taken pictures our meal. 10/10 recommend!
I’m adding a star for Yoki after another great visit. I went again for the all‑you‑can‑eat option and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the sashimi and nigiri were. The tuna especially was top notch. This time I tried a few more rolls, and the Heaven Roll really stood out — spicy tuna spread over the top with salmon and sashimi inside. It was the spiciest tuna I’ve ever had, and it lived up to its name. Service is excellent here. I love their ordering system with iPads at the table — perfect for all‑you‑can‑eat since you can order a little at a time. They do lock you out briefly between orders, but for two people it wasn’t an issue. Waters were always refilled, and it’s easy to request the check right from the iPad. Both times I’ve been here, my son and I finished every bite on the table. No complaints at all. I’d like to try some of their cooked dishes next time — the tempura, kama, and mini udon bowls looked delicious — but the sashimi, nigiri, and rolls are so good we haven’t had room yet. Overall, Yoki continues to impress. Fresh fish, great service, and a fun ordering system make it a spot worth coming back to.

This is hands-down my favorite sushi spot in SF! Everything is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. The dishes come out fast, the service is great, and the menu has so many amazing options to choose from. Highly recommend! 🍣✨

Izakaya Yoki is a cute, dimly lit restaurant that serves a mix of Japanese and Korean food. We wanted a good place to eat for our last day in San Fransisco, which was also our 5 year anniversary (and being newly engaged since my boyfriend proposed earlier that day! :)). So we settled on Izakaya Yoki because we had seen it while passing by and saw the reviews. For a reservation, you need to go on their website and use the contact/inquiry button to ask for a reservation or you can go on Yelp and request a table! They got back to us at around 11a-12p and it was confirmed. As for the food, it was pretty good, the udon (8.5/10) was delicious and their tempura (8/10) was great! They are a bit expensive especially for the tempura, which made it not really worth it for what you get. However, it was still good and was satisfying. As for the servers, they're quick, nice and available to help when you need them. The manager/owner (?) was active in helping and even remembered that when I, initially made the reservation, I put we were celebrating an anniversary, so they brought out a cute, and delish, dessert! Overall, a great place to eat and have fun with others!
They offered a wide selection on the menu, and it's easy and convenient to order from the tablet. From appetizers, nigiri, sashimi, rolls, salads, soup, and mini don. There are some time restrictions for about 8-10 minutes on certain categories like sashimi and nigiri, but the rest of the menu has no such limits, so you can order freely. From the appetizer section, we tried the tako wasabi, chicken karaage, takoyaki, pork katsu, and chicken katsu. The tako wasabi texture tasted a bit mushy, which I would not recommend; the rest tasted great. We also had the poke salad and sashimi salad. The portion sizes were great, but the seasoning fell into a really strong and sweet side. We ordered all of the sashimi carpaccio, which tasted alright, the fish texture was not as fresh as I expected, and the sauce they were using was overwhelming. I would have preferred just plain sashimi without the heavy seasoning. We tried most of the nigiri, and the ones that impressed me the most were baby scallop nigiri; it's sweet and fresh. I also had their salmon kama and hamachi kama; between these two, I like salmon kama better. I would say kama was the highlight of the meal since they did not put any seasoning on it, so you got to taste the natural flavor from the fish.
It was pretty good. The first part of the service is slow, but it picks up. The yakitori does not get made until there is at least two orders. Happy Hour prices are great. The drink selection is small. They forgot two orders. They do not actually have uni (sea urchin, false advertisement). Prices are pretty good. One of the salmons we had was not deboned which is fine. It was also not de scaled. That is sad. Literally taking off one star because of how it feels to have scales in your throat. You can choose not to eat it but remember it's an all you can est place where they would charge you for not eating the skin (with the scales).
A good place to go with friends or if you want to eat a lot of sushi. Loved that they had this boxes where you can taste a little bit of everything the only thing is that for me (and this is very personal) rice was kind of salty so if you don’t like salt avoid adding soya to the rice haha. The only thing that we didn’t like is that they asked us to make sure all the customers/ friends/ people needed to be there so they can assign us a table. Was kind of weird because one of our friends was about to arrive and we asked for the table and the waitress said she couldn’t assign us a table until our friend arrived (?)

Showed up for lunch on Saturday and us and another couple that also showed up were surprised to find the AYCE is Dinner only. Which doesn't make sense as typically people don't eat as heavy at lunch so it should be more profitable for them to offer it at lunch at least on the weekends when there's no office traffic. We at anyway. Prices are high but typical for Downtown San Francisco but portions of fish were closer to AYCE portions than "real" portions that you pay $8 for two pieces of sushi. Chirashi bowl was unimpressive with relatively thin cuts of sashimi and cheapo Tamago (egg) is not a crowd favorite. Rice seasoning was on point which is not that easy to do without making the rice too mushy or too sweet. I'd give 4 stars if I was putting heavy emphasis on the rice quality but considering the AYCE isn't offered during lunch and small portions even for California prices, have to drop it to a 3. Place was deserted so service was quite attentive. Pleasant daylight atrium like windows on the street side let a lot of light in but can be a little too toasty if you are sitting in full sunlight.
All you can eat sushi experience was so fun with a big group and I would highly recommend. The food itself was good, but nothing crazy. The menu did have a lot of great variety though which was a plus!

It was fine at best. Service was slow getting us our food and taking plates away. It was 7 pm on a Monday and still felt slow. Th fish on the nigiri was very thin with lots of rice. The rice was so chewy that I was annoyed at eating it. Flavors were good and the yogurt soju cocktail was amazing. It’s not the worst place, but I’ve had better AYCE for the same price
