Stumbled upon this place while driving in the rain...searching to soothe my hunger. I went in for the first time based on reviews. Make sure to bring cash and come hungry. Their small is still a great size. I chose the roast beef including jalapenos. Fresh, delish and made by the owner who has been there for over 30 years. Will make a stop in the near future!

Im sure everyone knows this place is THE PLACE to get yourself a sub. The quality of the subs is Incredible! They are so delicious you wish you could eat slower. I got myself the pastrami and it was the best pastrami I’ve had. Also the place itself was nice, neat, and super clean! 10/10 would eat there again.

The Spicy Bella Sandwich is wild! Normally folks don't know how to tame the Franks red hots sauce, nor balance bold ingredients with mild chicken and subtle white cheese. This sandwich made by David though was an large exception. Perfectly balanced, protein packed, yet sauced enough to make everything flow. I ate half of the sandwich and was full. Then somehow my other half sandwich disappeared before my eyes. The service was exceptional as well. The order was tailored to my cravings, the sandwich makers sought after opinions on whats good, and he even offered to/ filled my water bottle. I look forward to coming back for more sandwiches. Plus their Dutch crunch isn't too crunchy or hard!!! Its very difficult to find a proper Dutch crunch roll in SF.

Marina Submarine builds sandwiches with a level of prep that’s almost its own entertainment, and it’s fun to watch them cut avocados with knife skills you’ll end up trying to copy at home. The Dutch crunch is the bread many people choose because it holds its structure, and you can ask them to hollow it out if you want a less bready sando.

Solid, made-to-order toasted sandwiches. Mortadella with Swiss Cheese and extra peppers is good. Clean dining area and deli counter.

Very crispy & chewy sandwich! Price a bit high but quality was amazing! They're able to offer medium size sandwich but it was still at a decent size. Highly recommend their Marina's Special! Workers were efficient. Super fast with sandwich making. Seating was minimal but it's more a to-go shop so it's expected. Parking was minimal but it's easy to find on a non-busy day.

Amazing food, I had the Marine Sub (BEST SANDWHICH I'VE EVER HAD) and the Reunion Sub, both delicious with large portions. Ordering take out is quick or there's seating available for dinning in. The store was clean and tidy. I love the friendly vibes from everyone in the community as well.

Absolute gem in San Francisco. I’ve been enjoying the sandwiches here for over 15 years and am still blown away by how delicious they are. The prices have gone up over the years but it is 1000% every penny and the quality of ingredients and size of the subs make it a really good value. The attention to detail of the owner and pride he takes in making every sandwich a good experience is unparalleled. I truly love this place.

I just tried Marin Sub Marin in San Francisco and wow – their Spicy Bella sandwich is amazing! The bread was super fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and it had just the right amount of heat. You can tell they really care about quality. The staff was super friendly, and my order came out fast, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re in SF and craving a great sandwich, I highly recommend stopping by and trying the Spicy Bella – you won’t be disappointed!

My husband and I visited San Francisco and fell in love with the food. Food was excellent, people were friendly and the place was clean. We will be back. It was worth every dime we spent.

First time I went in I ordered 4 sandwiches and all 4 of them had burnt bread. Decided to give this place a 2nd try . Went in ordered 2 sandwiches and the employee could not follow instructions. Added mustard after I told him I didnt want mustard. I proceed to tell him i didnt want mustard just mayo he simply looked at me then ripped off all the center of the bread leaving only the crust and continued to finish making the sandwich.

For $20 “sub” there should be more than 2 thin slices of turkey. This was all mayo and bread. I love Marina Subs but this makes me feel cheated and not want to go back. I shouldn’t have to pay an extra fee for 2 more slices of turkey.

I am writing this review in the hopes that the new owner sees this because after visiting for the first time under new ownership, he made a great sandwich and I was hopeful. But after going back today, he hired another person who absolutely butchered you in the sandwich… Covered it in so much mustard that I could hardly taste anything else and had to wipe it down with a paper towel and ended up not even finishing it. The guy also started cleaning the floors while I was still in the shop in the middle of the day… The chemical smell was awful and made for a bad experience. Please do something about your new staff or you risk Messing up the brand and legacy that you inherited
