A great place to get a great glass of wine. Perfect for small groups and you can even become a wine member and get exclusive invites to tastings. The owner and the employees are really nice and are knowledgeable about wine - ask away! It's also a good place for dates because it's intimate without being too intimate. Also great stop before going to the nearby movie theater or if you have to drop coin at the Apple store 😂 j/k. Best wine bar in the Marina, hands down.

We hit happy hour and enjoyed a glass of wine at CWM about 6 months ago and had a great time. We met Greg the owner, who is amazing to talk with and discussed The Wine Club. By the end of our glass, we decided to join The Wine Club and have loved it every step of the way. We get introduced to great new wines all the time and on Monday's with the free tasting get to try even more and have a built in cozy date night each week. Couldn't recommend this place more whether it's for a glass of wine or joining the club. We love Cal our bartender too!

4.5 I like this wine bar. It’s very warm, cozy and intimate. The decor is also very wine, think wood floor-to-ceiling racks lining walls filled with wine. A very neighborhood bar and apparently they were the 1st wine bar in SF! I would give this a 5 but I’ve always found the wine a bit too acidic for me. Great date spot or to catch up with friends. Generally not too busy so you should be able to get a spot

Host was friendly and instantly found me a well-thought-out selection that I would later discover to be the best wine I've ever tasted. Atmosphere was warm and friendly, service and price were exceptional. Highly recommend!

CWM is a GREAT local spot, a treasure. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, remembers those who come frequently, and enjoys connecting people with wine and each other. The other team members are also wonderful. I was a member of the CWM wine club for about 2 years and highly recommend joining as you will taste many wineries that you may otherwise never come across, meet new people, have a great reason to head to Chestnut St for a educational drink, & meet wine owners, vintners, and employees of the wineries.

My friends and I stopped by for drinks. The wines were delicious and thanks to the server’s recommendation. Alas the hummus platter wasn’t exciting. Came with no utensils and we asked for some only to have fewer than the number of our party. Ambiance was good.

Just didn't fall in love with the abrupt service. Conveniently close to Delarosa if you're waiting for a table, which is main reason why we stopped here for a glass of wine before our dinner reservation.

Good environment. We enjoyed the place until the host asked us to give him a Credit card for him to reserve. It was really awkward, seemed he didn't trusted us to pay as we had mentioned we were from south América. Any way, the cheese plate seemed too small, and we didn't like that attitude. The wine was fine but expensive.

It’s interesting how they asked me and my friend for a card to open our tab but not anyone else (possibly racially motivated). Super bad vibes in general and the wine was truly horrific. I had the Pinot noir and it tasted worse than gas station wine. Also not comfortable customer ambiance and service. Not welcoming and changed the song when “fat bottom girls” by queen came on. Also very pushy about sales which feels forced. Wine tasted like it had been open for a while before we ordered. Also overcharged us for the wrong wine and then refused to refund the difference.

Super disappointing experience here. They overcharged us and wouldn’t correct the error. Wine tasted like garbage. I think the bottle had been open for a long time. Generally rude service and the owner was super weird about our IDs. I also have read a bunch of comments that people of color experienced their cards being held as a tab. This happened to me and my friend as well. Made us feel untrusted, and unwelcome. Super weird and upsetting.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY at this wine bar. Wine is expensive and not great choices. They give you super small pours for $16 glass of wine. Service was awful. They over charged one couple by 2 glasses of wine. It took them forever to correct this error. That couple left and another couple came and sat in the same spot then they starting this weird argument with the new couple thinking it was the other couple that had already left. So the new couple walked out. Rude service and no one knows anything about wine.
