Opinions de The Brixton San Francisco
Everything i ate here was delicious and cooked to perfection. Convenient location. Love the vibe it’s a casual spot that is perfect for meeting friends or family. The bartenders and staff were very friendly and the service was fast. This is definitely my favorite spot in San Francisco.
The brixton is such a sneaky good time…. I love love love their music and the food is great for a place that I usually only get martinis at. Always 10/10 service and a bubbly atmosphere but not too loud. Genuinely believe this place should be booking up on Friday and Saturday nights. -also it becomes just bar at like 10 or something and that part is equally fun.
Hugo, the owner, is by far the most amazing host. The food, atmosphere, and staff are beyond A1. Highly recommend to any family, romance, or friend gathering. Try anything on the menu ( it will not miss) especially the french dip.
Food and drinks were perfect, don’t get me started with the spicy tuna crispy rice…delicious! The drinks were also great, the bartenders know how to make their magic with the cocktails. Although they could talk less with each other and pay attention to who arrives at the bar. Overall was a fantastic Sunday evening, will be returning!
My go to local spot. Get the carnitas won tons. They are addicting. French Dip and the Wagyu burger are always solid choices
We were seated Al Fresco, near the fire place which kept us quite comfortable on an autumn evening meal. Our server was pleasant with great banter on rosemary v celery talk. Had a few good laughs. We shared a wonton starter which was just the right sized portion to stop the stomach growling while we waited for our main. I had the baby’s back ribs, dry rub with the sauce on the side. Very meaty, and plentiful amount. Our friends had the shrimp and claim linguini which was excellent, according to them. Hubby had the French dip, a massive sized portion with a good amount of meat. He wasn’t crazy about the au jus…lacking a bit of flavor, so perhaps the kitchen could work on that to perfect the dish. I would recommend a visit in the neighborhood of great options!
I’ve been coming here for years—it’s such a great community spot where you always feel welcome. I used to go more at night for drinks with friends, but lately I’ve been hooked on the food menu. Just had the Micky D’s breakfast and they nailed it. Totally hit that fast-food craving, but with legit quality ingredients. The hash browns 🔥🔥 (perfect crisp, flavor, texture). Such a fun, creative menu item.
Brixton is a gem! The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, the service is top-notch, and the food is consistently delicious. Their cocktails are expertly crafted, and every dish, from appetizers to mains, is full of flavor. A perfect spot for a fun night out or a casual dinner with friends. Highly recommended! Thank you so much for contributing to the great night out :)
the cutest restaurant with amazing decor, food, and service. the waitress was super nice in letting us know what options are vegetarian. the white bean salad was genuinely SO delicious, the chips and guac was super good with the freshly made chips, and the spinach and artichoke dip was heavenly. the ambience inside was lovely and the bathroom was very clean. I loved this place!
Perfect brunch spot. They recently redid the inside and it’s beautiful and sleek. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful. But you’re coming here for the food and every bite is worth it. The recommendations: First and foremost, all dishes are quite large, so be mindful Highly recommend brunch cocktails. They do a fantastic job. Fair warning – if you do the spicy margarita, it IS spicy. They infuse their tequila with jalapeño and habanero so it definitely packs a punch. Frittata- large, full of little extras either great flavor. French toast - massive portion. Highly recommend splitting this as a sweet option for the table. Burger – sloppy and fantastic. It did get a little soggy at one point, but the flavor made up for any of the drips. BLTA - I added smoked salmon to this one which I highly recommend. The bread is fantastic and the overall sandwich is very hardy. Awesome spot. Will definitely go back!
OVERALL: 5/5 Food/Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Their Happy Hour deal is such an amazing deal. Food is excellent (albeit small portions) but how can you go wrong with $3 for two sliders. We had - Beer ($4) - Margarita ($7) but the base was $5 - Nachos ($3) - Sliders ($3) for 2!!! How can you beat these pricing in this day and age? And they were delicious. They have Happy Hour from 5pm to Closing … you will see me there most Thursdays
I've come here a few times and have enjoyed the visits! (+) Cocktails are really good. (+) Garlic shrimp - really good, sauce is delicious, as is the toasted bread, shrimp is well cooked. (+) Fried short ribs - yum! Loved the okra in it. (+) Chili con queso - a bit overpriced, but it was delicious, and we ordered a side of guac too. ( ) Mushroom soup was pretty average, but really good for the price and it was satisfying (was the soup of the day) (+) Short rib grilled cheese - yummy! Lots of short rib, bread was delicious, cheese was delicious. Came with a refreshing salad. (+) Mussels - you get a very good amount of mussels and chorizo meatballs (weird combo that works out super well!) and the sauce is super good. (+) Cool digs - they re-did the place really nicely, love the decor, the bar and the high tops at the front of the restaurant and the more sit down tables towards the back. There are also two private rooms for parties. (+) Lots of TVs to watch sports games (+) HH everyday during certain hours and all day on Tuesdays Definitely going to be coming here often!
Damn good Bloody Mary, one of the best in sf. The food, not so much. We got the crispy tuna rice, hardly touched it. Love the spot for watching sports on sundays, very nice servers
We visited this place or Sunday brunch with friends. It's a lovely place, blending the atmosphere of a chic restaurant with a casual sports bar. The music was initially pleasant, though it did get a bit louder when they switched to a sports channel. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and our food and drinks arrived promptly. The food was tasty, though the chicken salad, while delicious, wasn't quite filling enough for my appetite. The French toast was quite good. We'll definitely return to try more of their menu offerings.
The place has been renovated, and the experience elevated accordingly. The focus is moe adult versus distinguishing itself from the Marina frat crowd. The menu clearly focused on those seeking a warm and welcoming location to enjoy company (or solo) over a meal or impromptu gathering. Also new is a weekend brunch menu to kick off your weekend - outdoor seating available. Definitely, suggest giving it a try and say hello to the super friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoyable time watching the Warriors beat the Celtics in the playoffs. Rachel and her team were amazing even with the big, boisterous and fun crowd. Recommend the bang bang shrimp 🍤!
Arrived for brunch before noon, it was not busy at all which is interesting and pleasant for a Cow Hollow location. The ambiance was calm, the music was shockingly great (alternative r&b)and great drinks, I ordered a mimosas & espresso martini. The food was good and each item had its own twist.
It would get 4 stars if not for the service. We were seated immediately but wasn't attended to for over 20 minutes. Even then, I had to flag the waitress down. Alcohol came quickly but the water was another wait. Once the food arrived, it made up for the lack of service (somewhat). I don't know if Sunday dining made a difference. I would come back again another time (seems like there are a lot of reviews for brunch/lunch).
Great ambiance and space, but food quality was lacking. Breakfast sandwich: 6/10. Egg fried at too high of a temperature, hash browns were too dry, and English muffins did not appear to be at their freshest. Carnitas Hash: 5/10. Ratio of tortilla strips to other components too high. Pork and potatoes were fine, but did not stand out.
In the short time that I’ve been in San Francisco, I’ve never felt that I’ve been racially profiled until tonight. I went to the Brixton around 5:30 PM with several friends. We paid a cover to be let into the business,. I also purchased a round of drinks for myself and my friends, totaling nearly $60. At around 7:30 pm, I decided to leave the bar with some friends. As I was leaving, I turned around, realizing several members of my group were not present. At this time an owner or someone else working at the bar stopped me. As I tried to explain that I had already paid my cover and had been at the bar for nearly two hours, this person grabbed me by the shoulders and shoved me, nearly to the ground. As I tried to ask what was wrong, this person continued to shove me with no explanation. I was shoved outside the bar nearly 10 ft and told to speak to a bouncer. I spoke to the bouncer who explained that this individual was the owner. Throughout all of this, it was never made clear that I did anything wrong outside of turnaround to check on a friend. Even worse, a white woman approached the bar shortly after me, nearly belligerent, asking to be let in because several of her friends were there. She was let in without question. However, I , a black woman, was shoved out, without any reason. I won’t be going back. The owner was incredibly rude. There is NEVER a reason to put your hands on woman and shove them nearly 10ft through a door. Despite the fact that I did nothing wrong, I would have left if the management team communicated to me that I was no longer welcome. Instead, I was basically assaulted, forced to leave without any explanation. All the while a belligerent white woman approached the bar asking for re-entry because her friends were inside. She was let in with no questions asked. I will NEVER go back to the Brixton. It’s clear that unless you are a white patron , you must expect to be disregarded, insulted, and assaulted. Shameless business with shameless owners.
This is a review of service only. My wife and I were seated at a table at 8pm on a Saturday at a table in the middle of the room. Staff walked past us every few seconds. Not once did staff stop by to fill a water glass, take a food or drink order in 20 minutes. They seemed to be actively avoiding eye contact as we tried to flag someone, anyone down. Now, we were fully clothed, showered and had brushed our teeth and hadn’t insulted anyone on the way in.. I don’t think it was us that caused the silent treatment?! At 8:20 we got up to leave and I informed the man who seated us of our decision to leave (he seemed nonplussed). We went down the street to another restaurant where we were warmly received and had a nice meal!
