I ordered the mushroom pizza and let me tell you it was soooooo delicious. Just a side note I would advise adding on a sauce and warming up your slices if you get it delivered because it soooo yummy. This ended up being 2 meals for me as it was quite filling (but in a good way)
Stopped here for lunch, had really good quality coffee and shared a delicious Vegan pizza. Good service. No complaints.
A walk in sunlight. Gold poured generous as honey. The air still rinsed from morning’s brass, when foghorns had leaned long and low across the bay, turning rooftops to silhouettes and the city into a half-remembered myth. Now the sky is blue and unburdened. I follow the brightness to the bright quarrel of corners, where Union meets Buchanan and the day pauses, considering itself like a monarch deciding which crown to wear. Here, light loosens its collar. Shade gathers in the open air and again inside, tucked into a corner like a secret pleased to be overheard. Shadows rehearse their soft-footed ballet, slipping across thresholds and tabletops, while the window frames a theater of before, whispering of what once stood here before it became this, before there was a there to point toward at all. Light and shade conduct their daily diplomacy. Within this hidden harbor: a bar top friendly as an old accomplice, brick and beam holding the hush steady. Staff greet without engulfing. They know that what leaves the kitchen is not merely sustenance but notion, invention plated by artists in aprons. They arrive, they smile, and then they recede, granting the rare luxury of space. Here one may sit with thought. Here flavor is allowed its slow unfurling. The room is a marvel of temperament. It may brim with bodies, every seat claimed, or rest nearly empty, sunlight occupying most of the chairs, and still no voice must rise in defense of itself. Conversations lift and settle like well-trained birds, never trespassing into neighboring skies. Privacy is architectural, woven into brick, into beam, into the measured hum. At a table for one: sovereignty. Three dishes arrive, gloriously unordinary. A lavishness in a sea of green. Spicy pickles, emerald and gleaming, their heat more suggestion than siege, bright coins of brine and patience. A bowl of Brussels sprouts with tempeh, edges bronzed, centers tender, a savory hymn rising in steam and char. Divine is not excess here. It is accuracy. And apart, composed and certain, a cashew cheesecake on its own plate, beige and steadfast, crowned with blueberry compote dark as gathered twilight. Beside it, ice cream already considering surrender. Now hear this small truth: Cheesecake comes with ice cream, and everything is improved when it is partially melted. So it stands in patient transformation, cool white softening at the edges, silk yielding into sweetness, while avocado green and spice-red hold their ground on neighboring porcelain fields. Each plate sovereign. None invading. Outside, bushy trees trace their shifting signatures across a yellow awning. Their shadows slip through glass and dance upon the table’s edge. Light becomes lace. Shade becomes chorus. Pickles spark. Brussels and tempeh convene their savory parliament. The cheesecake remains its quiet cathedral, blueberries gleaming at its altar, ice cream easing into grace. Heat answered by cool. Spice met by silk. Fog only a memory folded into morning. One corner. One crossing of streets. Friendly hands that serve and step back. A room that guards your words. An afternoon warmed into legend, where art is plated.
Ate at Wildseed on New Year’s Day 2026 and had a fantastic experience. Friendly, attentive staff—especially our server Tara D. The food was excellent, from the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Mushroom Zeppole to the Oklahoma Smash Burger and Spicy Chicken Sandwich. The chocolate beet cake was amazing. If you’re in San Francisco and want great vegan food in a stylish setting with top-notch service, Wildseed is a must-visit.
Went last night on a date. The waiters were on it very nice and always refilling water asking if we needed anything. I ordered the vegan Ceasar salad with the extra falafel. It was delicious. They also have hot tea if you go at night and are cold. Its a lovely atmosphere with little candles and plants along the tables. A great vegetarian or vegan date night spot.
I love this restaurant! My friends treated me there for nice dinner after their engagement photoshoot. I’m not a vegan person but I must say, I’m super impressed. We ordered the Italian sausage pizza because I was curious to know how close a plant based sausage could be to the real thing. Surprisingly, it was very close and delicious, but definitely didn’t taste artificial or processed! The pizza crust was crunchy, moderate thin (and with good texture) and doughy, and I love it. I they did a great job to let the customers know what ingredients were used (both through the menu and verbal), the service was excellent and the staff cared deeply if the customer had any food allergies. What truly impressed me was my main course, the Thai curry. It is the most flavourful Thai curry I have ever had these days, and it was served black rice. I love how healthy it is and yet it is even better than meat-flavored curry. Will definitely come back again to try more vegan food there.
Love this restaurant! This was our first visit during a recent trip to San Francisco. Absolutely wonderful experience at this plant-based gem! Daniel, our server, was top notch, and everything on the menu looked amazing. It was hard to decide what to choose and we are already looking forward to a return visit to try more. Highly recommend the curried cauliflower appetizer as well as the Fall Pie pizza. Heavenly. Ended the meal with the lemon cheesecake, which was very good, but next time I will need to try the chocolate cake. 10/10.
Wildseed completely exceeded my expectations — the food was incredible! Every dish was packed with flavor and creativity, showcasing how amazing plant-based cooking can be. The ingredients were fresh, thoughtfully paired, and beautifully presented. The brunch menu is especially impressive — so many options that it was hard to choose just one! The space itself is gorgeous: bright, tropical, and airy with an open layout that feels both relaxed and vibrant. It’s the kind of place where you can linger over brunch and still feel refreshed when you leave. There’s plenty of seating, but it gets very popular (for good reason!), so definitely make a reservation if you’re planning to go during peak hours. If you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just love great food — Wildseed is a must-try in San Francisco. 🌿✨
Amazing food. I went here not knowing it’s a vegan place. As a non vegan I had not tried strictly a vegan cuisine before and was a little apprehensive. However the food was simply amazing. Their Oklahoma smash burger is the best burger I have ever had. Fries so fresh and delicious. Will return soon to try other food. Highly recommend to anyone.
May 2025 Original Wildseed branch offering trendy and farm based vegan cuisone and creative mixology. We have loyally been going to the Palo Alto branch and this originating one was definitely a welcome find in SFO and the Pac Hts area. If you arent sold to vegan cuisine this resto may change your mind and condition your taste buds. Their seasonal section is always worth trying as well for the regulars. The drinks are very diverse and offers unique themes and blends. Staff have been consistently professional and accomodating. The layout is spacious and can provide privacy with enough variety of indoor and outdoor choices. From counters, cubicles and free standing tables. Ideal for all types and sets of diners. One of our more favorite causual dining restos in the Westcoast.
Wildseed in San Francisco has quickly become a gem in the vegan dining scene, and for good reason! As vegans, finding great food can feel like an uphill battle, but Wildseed makes it effortless—and incredibly enjoyable. The moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Jarod, I believe the manager, who immediately made us feel welcome and accommodated. His enthusiasm and attentiveness set the tone for an incredible experience. Our server, Shadwa, was nothing short of amazing. From the start, she checked in on our preferences and any allergies we might have, ensuring every dish was tailored perfectly for us. Her friendliness and genuine care made our meal feel special—and her warm smile never left her face throughout the entire experience. What truly impressed us, though, was when Shadwa requested a slight modification to one of our dishes on our behalf. It’s clear that Wildseed’s team is all about going above and beyond to make sure their guests feel celebrated and cared for. The food? Simply put: fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. Every bite felt like a celebration of plant-based cuisine, with dishes that were as visually stunning as they were delicious. The ambiance was equally impressive—modern, clean, and inviting, with a lively energy that made us feel right at home. From start to finish, Wildseed exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of outstanding service, nutritious and flavorful food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere makes this place a top contender for the best vegan restaurants in SF. If you’re in the area and (especially if you’re vegan), Wildseed is a must-visit. Thank you to Jarod and Shadwa for making our experience so memorable—you truly shine, and we can’t wait to return!
Wildseed is hands down the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to! I’ve visited three times with different groups of friends, and every single time the food, service, and atmosphere have been outstanding. The menu is innovative and flavorful, with each dish crafted to perfection. The staff is warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, always making sure we have a great experience. If you’re looking for delicious plant-based food and a welcoming vibe, Wildseed is a must-visit. It never disappoints!
DELICIOUS AND CREATIVE MENU! sometimes the cocktails aren’t good though like the idea is there but not execution. It’s expensive but it is high quality. I’ve been there at least four to five times. The spicy sausage pizza is bomb. All the salads are amazing. Will please any vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore! So tasty!!!

Amazing salad! Great sparkling pear soda and the staff are very nice! We sat outside in the SF "sun".
Pretty! It's a beautiful place with mouth watering food! A little expensive for the portion sizes though. It's an upscale modern dining experience

We were amazed by how delicious our two choices for late lunch were! Highly seasoned and dense with nutrition. Fungi pizza and the Harvest Bowl.
The brunch dishes are delicious with lots of good drink options both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I would love even more brunch options! Dinner options are ok.
Very busy restaurant, with lots of good food options. But the menu is hit and miss. The artichoke was a mess. The green pizza tasted off on account of eyes smelling fake cheese. The yellow curry was excellent. The whole restaurant has a weird funky cheese smell, which is sad because vegan cheese could be made to not be smelly.
First time on Union Street in years. Still decently vibrant. Decided to treat after my chiropractor session. Lunch time Wednesday not too busy Seat indoors by the window. Heirloom tomato salad with falafel. Tomato and corn in season. Decided for health. Salad was delicious, refreshing, loved the dressing since I'm usually just balsamic at home. Falafel soft inside and crunchy outside was a nice complement. Tomatoes but the spot and corn was sweet though I was spilled by great corn on the cob right off the farm this past weekend. Maybe pizza next time. No extras or drinks despite the available choices. Chocolate beet cake as dessert. Great choice for chocolate lovers. Presentation was a failure but tastes awesome. Second choice would have been peach tart. Only one waiter with server help!! Bartender pitched in at one table. Still decent attention
This vegan place really surprised me. I am not vegan but really enjoyed the 3 dishes that we ordered. We got the summer special watermelon salad which was amazing and so refreshing, the curried cauliflower bites also very well done and the bruschetta. I also got the Wats up Doc ( cocktail ) which was pretty strong but still yum and my friend got a bergamot spritz also very refreshing. All in all good food but the service was a bit slow, given that it was packed on a Monday evening.
Great vegan food and wine selection - a bit pricey for some dishes and a few odd tastes here and there like the sausage in the paella but overall 8/10 dinner experience and 9/10 brunch experience with great decor and ambiance + stellar service. Highly recommend the spicy curry, corn fritters, mezze and the breakfast sandwich
What a treat! The service was outstanding and the food was sublime - all for a reasonable price. The pizza was scrumptious and the masala was a rich tasty treat. We'll definitely be back

Liked both the food and atmosphere! Would definitely eat here again. This place was poppin on a Thursday night, so I think it is definitely a local favorite.
I’ve been a huge fan of the place and regularly order take out 2-3x a week for dinner. They recently changed the takeout box for the spicy yellow curry to be one box (vs separate ones for the rice & curry). This ruins the rice texture and they are also skimping on the curry proportion - sad to see & hope they fix it
Most of the dishes we tried were underwhelming. The green pizza was overloaded with arugula and had a bland crust. The masala bowl lacked flavor despite the name - the tofu, chickpeas, and pickled vegetables didn’t come together well. The yellow curry bowl was spicy but not memorable, and again, heavy on rice with too little curry. The cucumber drink tasted like straight juice, and was overpriced. The charcoal lemonade was better. The cashew cream birthday dessert was the standout - rich, nutty, and balanced. Service was friendly, and the space is nice, but overall, not a meal we’d return for.
I've been to Wildseed several times now and unfortunately still find that their menu over-promises and under-delivers. Like other items, the Reset Salad has all the components of a hit--squash, tahin…

Absolute chaos. We waited over an hour for just two salads, with no communication from the server about the delays. When we finally asked, the food appeared within minutes — clearly it could’ve been handled better. Really disappointing for a place of this standard, especially given the many excellent nearby options. Take my advice and go to Flores next door — top-quality food, great management, attentive service, and a fantastic atmosphere.
