Very welcoming and beautifull place, the workers are very kind and you feel very confortable, one of the best restaurants in Long Island
Very happy with the service and food. I was in town for business and had dinner here 2 nights in a row. Highly recommend it.
Amazing authentic chinese food, best sesame chicken I have ever had.
One of our favorite restaurant, the food were delicious and great customer service 👍
Great REAL Chinese food. In love with the vegetarian egg drop soup with cucumber.
nice place for northeast chinese cusine. good deco. quite place。 a little hard to find parking on the street.
Great service and delicious food! Will come here again for the portion sizes
Eggplant in spicy garlic sauce was exceptional. Crispy!
The best Beijing Duck in the area! Great food and atmosphere
Bakchoy meatball here is absolutely delicious!! I'd get it every time I'm here.
Very clean, great environment, awesome food, and friendly services! Love it!
Great food. Excellent service. Good price.
One of the best authentic Chinese food place!! Highly Recommended!!
The food was fresh and absolutely flavorful.
Been dining here for years. Glad to see the flavor never changed. Good service. Good space, not cramping in corner. Always a pleasant experience.
Came here twice and both times, the food was very good. Parking is easy to find also if you come after 7pm. Plenty of spots and the meters are free.
The food was amazing and service was very attentive. I especially enjoyed the Peking duck and grilled fish with garlic and spicy sauce.
I love New Fu Run,it's great for family dinners and gatherings with friends. The menu is very varied and I am amazed every time I go to eat it, it is so delicious.
A few friends kept telling me about this restaurant and I finally got to try it. The food is extremely fresh and not oily at all. Definitely a healthier version of Chinese food.
This is one of my favorite place. The food is great, spacious and easy parking in the back. Their Peking roast duck is amazing.
Had a party of 20 people in the private room downstairs. Food came fast and was delicious. Menu is expansive, lots to choose from!
Been here many times. The food is delicious and is also presented very well. The price is reasonable for such a great meal.
Menu is completely different from any other menu i have ever seen. That is a good thing. The meal we had was amazing. Try this place.
Delicious food and good service!! My kids love the roasted duck very much. Will come back soon for sure.
Amazing food, nice open space, very reasonable prices. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to.
Amazing food and service! So many traditional Chinese dishes to try! Also family meals to take home.
This restaurant is a local gem . I like their fish and chicken dishes . The setting is spacious for any gathering
Food was great here. Was looking for quick lunch and it had no wait. We we're surprised that the food was very good.
Absolutely a spot worth stopping over, the food is excellent and fresh, the costs are reasonable and it is regularly well kept there. Highly recommended.
It's bigger and feels more upscale than Fu Run on Prince street. Food and prices still excellent like the original.
Exceptional service and food quality. I’m very happy that this restaurant is close to my house.
Sizzling beef, chicken w peanut, lobster ginger and to top it off the taro sweet potato dessert. Great restaurant. Yummm
I order here all the time and today I decided to go dine in. Chinese food is really high quality and tasty here. Service is amazing and the waitresses are so nice with good prices. I always get the eggplant and sesame chicken. All around a super lovely resteraunt and it’s worth the visit 1000%!
If I lived within a block from this restaurant, I probably would never cook again. I literally would want to have all my meals served from here. My top three recommendations would be the salted egg corn, sweet and sour fish and sweet and sour pork. Even though both dishes have the title “sweet and sour” the sauces are completely different in taste and looks from one another and I love that! You cannot get bored of their food! I also love their cold dishes so be sure to try their specialties from their region. If I ever get married this is the place I want my catering to be. Try this place you wont regret it!
Great Chinese restaurant. We even like this better than the original in Flushing. Northeastern Chinese Dongbei cuisine is so flavorful and has a nice bite to it. The menu is authentic and there are selections which aren't on a typical menu. Tina, the owner, is charming and the restaurant is neat and clean. My daughter loves the texture of the scallion pancakes, and we love the flavor of the fried lamb with cumin. Try the crispy pork with orange sauce-the pork is thin and crispy unlike other places. They have two big round tables in the back of the restaurant and we held a birthday party there this summer. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. There's a parking lot in the back with a back entrance.
Great value for upscale chinese cuisine makes New Fu Run our go to restaurant in the area for dining out or catering. A spacious, tastefully decorated space that can easily accommodate large groups, with consistent, attentive service make for an enjoyable dining experience. Plenty of parking in the back. Features an expansive menu; our favorites are the fresh grilled whole fish and signature cumin spiced dishes. Well deserving of their spot on Newsday's Top Long Island Restaurants for three years running!
Most authentic Northerneastern Chinese food in NY. The Chicken mushrooms soup was amazing and the cumin lamb was to die for. Service was excellent everything came out together in less than 10min! Highly recommended this hidden gem of Great Neck.
Finally, real Chinese food in Great Neck. Crispy lamb with cumin was great. So was the sliced fish with pepper & cumin. The flavors all popped. There was no gloppy sauce. Scallion pancakes were a little chewy, but tasted good. Now I don't have to go to Flushing!
The crispy fish with cumin and the lamb with cumin were exactly like the Uighur food I had in Beijing. Very authentic. I hate regular Chinese food but this is delicious. Not gloppy. If you want a totally different dining experience from American "Chinese" I fully recommend this place.
This is the best Chinese restaurant in the Great Neck and the surrounding neighborhood s. Food is very fresh and delicious. They also have a variety of selections. This is our go-to place for Chinese food. The owner of the restaurant is also very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended👍
Delicious dishes! Great place to host a gathering as well with private room downstairs! Kids enjoy the authentic food; our go to place for Chinese food near LI! Not to mention quality service as well!
Very elegant and classy decor. Food is always with fresh ingredients. Convenient Municipal parking in the back, which is important to me. I’ve only dined in but I see tons of take out orders going out.
Authentic northeastern Chinese food. The lamb and carrots dumplings taste just like my mom’s homemade dumplings. It makes me homesick. Lamb chop is a must too. It’s my favorite northeastern Chinese restaurant in New York.
Been trying to find good authentic dongbei good since the old Fu Ren in flushing dropped in quality many years ago. Happy to find the new and improved New Fu Ren not only delivers the original taste but improves in many areas such as service, decor, and taste. Try the cumin lamb as well as the squirrel fish. For those more adventurous or fans of sour profiles, try the pickled veggie and pork belly stew!
Nice variety of Chinese cuisine! I'll be binging their menu for the next few months. This location is very modern and upgraded compared to the location in Flushing. A nice addition to the neighborhood!
BEST Northeastern Chinese food 東北菜 in the world. Tried to order similar dishes all over the US, Europe and Asia. Nothing compares. And I'm from Harbin.
Everything about Fu Run restaurant is perfect. This restaurant always provides wonderful food and service to customers. I always like to come back to this place with my family and friends. This place is on our top 10 favorite places to go!
Fantastic Northeastern Chinese food! Authentic flavor. Friendly service. Excellent price. Pleasing decor.
This restaurant offers some of the most traditional Chinese food I’ve had in the U.S.! The portions are generous, and the flavors are incredible. The Grilled Whole Fish(私房烤鱼) is absolutely outstanding—better than many restaurants in China. It’s perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a rich, flavorful seasoning that’s perfectly balanced. The Stir-fried pork(农家小炒) is another highlight—tender meat, fresh ingredients, and expertly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. Overall, an amazing dining experience. I’ll definitely be back again! Highly recommended for anyone who loves traditional Chinese cuisine.
The restaurant is clean and spacious. I especially like it’s downstair private room with Karaoke. It is a good a party room for group gathering. The appetizer: tiger vegetable, county style beef with cucumber, country style green bean jelly and house burritos… taste very refreshing. Lamb chop with cumin, spicy grilled whole fish, stew sour pork with cabbage are delicious , cauliflower in hot red pepper sauce is authentic and lastly is my favorite, sesame balls as desert to end meal… so satisfying.
Very pleasant venue with many authentic dishes that I wasn’t familiar with. Interesting spices. Excellent food and service.
I love the food here! The environment is super friendly and warm - my family and I always go here for special to even simple occasions! If we don’t decide to dine-in, we always order take out and bring it back home. The food is always flavorful and made incredibly well. Everything is super tasty! Overall, a superb restaurant with great quality food and management!
A hidden gem!! Truly fantastic food. Very well seasoned and flavorful. Careful service. Great ambiance.
Went today and had wonton soup, beef and broccoli, spicy lamb, and green beans. All delicious. Would definitely go back. And it was clean too.
I always enjoy the food here. Its great quality, well priced, and most importantly it tastes great! Clean restaurant with plenty of parking (paid) in the back.
**Unforgettable Lunar New Year Celebration at New Fun Run Chinese Restaurant** Our Lunar New Year dinner at New Fun Run Chinese Restaurant in Great Neck was a delightful fusion of tradition and culinary artistry. The restaurant welcomed us with a festive atmosphere, setting the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration. The service stood out for its warmth and professionalism, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Staff members were attentive and offered insightful recommendations that catered to all tastes, enhancing our meal with their expertise. The food was the centerpiece of the evening. Each dish was a testament to the chefs' ability to marry traditional flavors with creative flair. In essence, dining at New Fun Run Chinese Restaurant was an exceptional way to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The combination of great food, impeccable service, and a festive atmosphere made it a standout choice for anyone looking to enjoy the richness of Chinese cuisine in a memorable setting.
My favorite northern east Chinese restaurant! Update on 2.1.2022: Visited here on the last day of lunar year of 2021. Enjoyed our dinner of New Year's Eve. Primary reason to dine in here is for 合菜春饼. I have waited this dish for more than 1 year and finally it comes! Although the edge of pancake is a bit dry, I am still glad to try it. The serving speed is slow. Food is as great as usual. I hope they can have more waiter/waitress when they get too busy. Update on 10.30.2021: Today we visit again for Halloween LOL Their quality is quite stable and love the taste. One thing to notice is that they have a parking lot at the back operates from 9 to 6. So the parking is free after 6 p.m. We ordered 肉皮冻,红闷肘子,火爆腰花(which provides non-spicy version),家常疙瘩汤, and wrapped some of them for tomorrow. Update on 12.31.2020: We had the delivery of new year Eve dinner. My recommendation is 红油拉皮,东北酱骨头 and 红闷肘子.
Absolutely our new go to place for delicious Chinese food. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were on point, the skill of the chef is commended! We ordered live black fish, beijing duck, crispy tofu, beef on a skillet and numerous vegetarian dishes for a party of 10. Everyone left with full bellies exclaiming how delicious dinner was!
I stopped for a quick lunch, service was quick and food quality very high end. Had Gen Tso Chicken w rice and egg drop soup. Tea; Diet Coke and Iced Water. Very tasty not o er spiced just right. Will be back
I am a regular customer here, and I come for their guo bao rou (鍋包肉)all the time. The pork is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated with a balanced sweet-tangy glaze that makes each bite stand out. It tastes fresh and has the exact texture this dish should have. The service is great, though it can be slow when the restaurant is busy. The staff are attentive, kind, and welcoming in a way that makes me feel at home as soon as I walk in. I hope they can reopen another location in Flushing.
We enjoyed shrimp and veggies, squid, kom bao chicken and even jelly fish w peanuts. Service is good. Medium price. We will return soon
I was planning to visit the place in my trip, but I could only stay for a minutes. The food was ordered by my friends, not my favorite but was good. Hope to have a chance to come again.
Good value with good quality food. I would like to see more variety in their menu. A decent local restaurant.
Pretty good northern style Chinese food. The cumin lamb chops was great and reasonably priced at $29. Would recommend others to try out.
Roomy, comfy, clean space. Delicious and authentic of China Northeastern cusine. Must try the lamp chop, fried fish, sour cabbage with pork. Easy parking is the cherry on the top
This is my go to Chinese in town. Always the same table -:) I like what they wrote in Chinese in the bathroom that please only take (the paper) what you need. Service is good. Although the food is on the sweet side but they’re generally very good. We’ve Eggplant 🍆 with basil 🌿 Shredded pork Pork joint in garlic sauce Shiraz house red Street parking and a parking lot in the back. Edit: we went there for their Peking Duck - pretty good.
Went in for lunch on a weekday not for lunch special, meat and vegetable quality was disappointing and not as fresh as expected. Service was fine though.
Steamed dumplings had a strange flavor. Spicy Beef and Peppers had way to many peppers, not enough beef. No utensils in the bag. Lunch cost me $40!
This is my second time ordering from New Fu Run. The food is pretty good however, I was taken aback that when I ordered the chicken and broccoli, it did not come with white rice and you have to pay extra for this. The person who handed us the food was kind enough to give us a free pint of rice. I also found it to be a bit salty. Last time when I ordered out from here, I had the wonton soup and the wonton soup was salty also. The chef needs to be mindful of how much salt he’s putting in the food. I would like to order from here again, but not if it’s going to send my blood pressure through the roof.
It wasn't really authentic Chinese cuisine but it tasted decent
Environment is okay. But the food is just average. Most dishes taste overly sweetened.
Prime Great Neck location but bland food. Shrimp lo-mein dull and seafood soup boring. Staff was more interested in chatting with each other than attending to customers.
Good for American and Americanized stomach. Taste from original place lost more than 50%. Two stars for clean dinning environment and nice staff.
Server, who was an owner I guess, was not listening so we got steamed dumplings instead of fried. She then said they don't do fried there. Hot and sour soup had a strange taste. Pork stringy and chewy. Egg rolls were OK. Prices a bit high. More authentic than what we were expecting, which is not a good thing for us really. We will definitely not be going back.
New Fu Run Away...greasy and underwhelming. Can't put my finger on it, but the flavors just taste a dissappinting. I wasn't happy with the freshness as the beef with green peppers looks like old beef pieces and the sliced pork with garlic was overtly "porky" tasting. Was hoping for a spot that would satisfy my Chinese food cravings without going to flushing.
The food was horrible! They gave us the wrong order and asked if it was ok!?! We had to say no. Our order came out and it was bad
Poor service. The waitress doesn’t care how long the customer was waiting for them to take their order. They just like to randomly take customers orders whenever they want and like.
We came here 6 month ago and food was ok. So today we decided to go there again. Not sure if they change chefs or something. Food was very oily and nauseating. We got so sick after eating there. Never going back again.
i got takeout and found a bug in my rice. also the chinese food is just mid at best.
Ordered takeout few days ago. Food was inedible. Beef dish was way to chewy and did not taste fresh at all. Was it even real beef? Who knows.. Wonton soup came cold. Do not recommend. Go to Pearl East or Hunan Taste for better food. Worth the extra drive
The qualify of food has gone downhill recent years. Tried twice this month - Veggies are ok but meats are not fresh at all, very disappointing taste. Will have to say goodbye to this place sadly 😥
There’s gotta be something wrong with the reviews, the food here is well below average for a NY Chinese restaurant. We had about a party of 20 ppl and got the package meals for CNY, other than 2 dishes the rest of the meal was absolutely terrible. AND on top of that they make you pay cash cause you ordered the package meals which was not mentioned to us when we made the reservation. Will not be returning.
Dried Tofu w. Fresh Hot Pepper is one of the most famous north eastern Chinese food. This restaurant literally butchered this particular dish. Never coming back again
They must have change chef. Food was so bad. I’m a long timer customer. Will not come again. Chicken mushroom with vermicelli was the worst, no flavor and did not use whole chicken, they used frozen chicken leg. Lots of msg.
This was some of the most tasteless Chinese Food we have ever had. Totally dissapointing bland dishes and soup with little or no flavor; completely overcooked. Portions were good sized but we only ate them because we were too tired to return it.
