I was really happy to stop around Astoria after years and have a delicious gyro from a food truck, I recommend this one. I also was trying to get Greek doughnuts from around the corner, but sadly they are permanently closed.

I was excited to try this food truck and ordered their pork pita. It was stuffed with soggy fries but the pork was marinated pretty well. The cut could have been fattier to give it a little more moisture. The pita hit it out of the ballpark with the softness. The platter had a salad of simple lettuce and a few cut tomatoes (bland as there was no dressing). I was a fan of their tzatziki though. The truck had 5 workers working! The wait time for the food was pretty fast. The food was very affordable with $10 a meat gyro and a few more dollars more for a full platter.

Food is ok! Fries could be cook a little longer. Everything here can be done better. They just seem like nobody here likes what they do. Owner should please invest in sustainability and sharing making the surroundings cleaner! There is really no difference of cost when doing something better.

I have eaten here for years , the food was disappointing today sadly . The meat was tough , possibly reheated up , has the flavor but was dry , and my salad was soggy frozen iceberg salad mix :-( I have never seen ice berg lettuce in a Greek salad , the Greek fries were good . There was an older lady working alongside some younger ones that wasn’t very nice , when I asked how much a side of tzatziki was she answered over the younger girl rudely, she was also rude to another customer who asked for a fork for his food . The salad was 18 dollars and very low quality , and the pita bread was two pieces that was stale . I was in the area and was so excited for This food . I’d just order the fries and ask for a fresh souvlaki stick to be made with it if I try it again . Also they forgot the bread for my souvlaki sticks , ordered 4 didn’t get any bread like I usually get .

Highly overated with some of the driest souvlaki sticks out there. This is one truck I do not recommend for street food. My last visit was yesterday.

Well i ‘be heard a lot about this place and i passed by many times. So let’s try today and i went there .. ordered came back with food .. The staff took care of me wasn’t bad. He was nice and confirmed my order and explained enough about the menu i picked. However, When i came back home I realized they overcharged .. And food wasn’t give me nice impression I ordered lamb &! Beef platter with rice I opened the container Where is the beef? And lamb was very small pieces and dry Like i felt they just cleaned up useless meat pieces for my plater I already checked lots of reviews and pictures from the customers and my platter was way too fat from it I wont go there again Guess enough experience for souvlaki and gyros.

I used to love this place. Food not the same. Some staff lowkey have an attitude. I asked for tzatziki, she asked to see sandwich, i showed it, and then she showed me the tzatziki all the way on the bottom where its wrapped. As she is re-wrapping the sandwich i asked for a bit more please. She said $1. Like i literally left and drove back for more sauce cause my cousin said there wasnt any or barely. I ordered this thru postmates because i had no cash, and she didnt care. Idk the best way to put it but this wasnt the first time ive been dealt with no customer service or service where you feel like they dont care.Wouldve it costed you so much to just put a little bit more?. By showing that, i had to give a real honest rating. Something i never really done before i have to admit even when its bad because i dont like doing things like this to businesses because of staff but it is what it is. Do better please. I hope it improves because i really have love for king souvlaki. Il update this if it improves in the future

$16 dollars for a platter and the boys making the food think its joke time. Dropping food on the floor putting it back to serve. All onions and two tomatoes in one salad, in the other platter half the amount of french fries, stale pites. So many other souvlakia places to take my future business to. Hopefully you fire the clowns and bring back respectful food preparers. Na saste kala. Good luck.

Stopped by the King Souvlaki food truck on 31st St & 31st Ave in Astoria for a very late-night bite and grabbed some pork kebabs on a stick. Unfortunately, the meat was barely warm, dry, and lacked the authentic flavor I was hoping for—even after adding lemon juice and salt. It just didn’t hit the spot and left me craving a more satisfying meal. Decent for a quick stop, but definitely not their best showing.

I ordered 6 chick souvlaki on the stick. It was cold with no flavor. The quality has not been the same for some time. I will think twice before I visit the truck in Astoria again.

My wife and myself were turned away from the truck.Because I had kindly asked not to have french fries.Added inside my sandwich and was told he is following his boss's orders. I have been coming here for years.This is the first time I was ever treated this way. Even as I was walking away, I was watching the gentleman laughing at me with his code worker behind the counter. Blocked local bike lanes. Cares about greed over peoples lives. Funny because most studies show adding bike lanes increases foot traffic. Don’t go here, they don’t care about the community. Edit: Since the owner wants to deflect, when the bike lane was going through, the owner had signs on their food truck against the bike lane. Additionally, between 2019-2024, 14 people lost their lives on bikes and 190 were injured on this stretch of road. Glad you donate free food, but blocking a bike lane because you don’t want to move your food truck while people are getting hurt is messed up.
